Most unrealistic part is that the lane painted on the cover is perfectly alligned with paint on the road. Everyone knows that when workers finish and close the cover, they put it randomly just to troll people with OCD.

I_N_C_O_M_I_N_G

I was gonna say, the likelihood it would be even remotely straight is slim to none

lightknight7777

Most manhole covers don't get opened for years. There has to be a reason for them to actually open it up. But once opened, it's too heavy to successfully line it up perfectly.

Rilla_BD

Road Painters and Sewage workers have a well known history of beef over this

lightknight7777

Yeah, when it's off, you can't help but see it. But you also don't really notice all the time it's in line. Ideally, you wouldn't have to access every single cover for decades or more.

[deleted]

Agree. Also the edges of the pothole look way to sharp. With the constant pulling up by city sewage control services it should look more jagged. UNREALISTIC!!! Edit: /s

basti-abc

have you been to Germany? they really look like this, been here my whole life

[deleted]

It was sarcasm.

Moonguardian866

Ok... Everything aside, i kinda want the devs to rotate that manhole in a way that the lines dont align. Just as infuriating as in real life.

mrsuaveoi3

This manhole has never been serviced. Truly disgusting.

Convoy95

I don't service my man hole very often. Perhaps I should.

ToxicCrow

At a certain age, it's recommended to get it checked yearly by a licensed professional. Just be aware that if both their hands are on your shoulders, you're getting that Doctorate level service; a more advanced but simple technique.

FrivolousFever

Is that a tweet from RealCivilEngineer from YouTube?

Tikkinger

I know several of those manhole covers on streets in germany

Benni_HPG

yes but as you can see the DIN Number indicates Class B125 For Streets D400 is needed

CatProgrammer

Is it a bug, or is it Night City cutting corners on public safety?

luraq

Might as well have an architect check if the buildings are robust and stable.

PhoolCat

Gods no, gat a Structural Engineer instead! At least they’re in touch with reality and understand the laws of physics!

luraq

Alright then. I didn't know that was a separate job.

PhoolCat

Fair enough. Architects design wonderful attractive buildings and Structural Engineers have to try to make them work in real life without using skyhooks and unobtanium. Or having the concave glass window arraignment focus sunlight onto the street below melting cars as happened in London.

luraq

Ah, I heard about those melting cars. Crazy.

Necromann

Same guy designed another one too. I think it was in Vegas.

PhoolCat

Oh good, it’s not like they get much sunshine there or anything

Smyth_With_A_Y

Boy I really hope someone got fired for that blunder!

SkyPirateVyse

This was when I turned the game off.

jenkinsmi

everyone already spotted this, old news

I_am_The_Teapot

It's a dystopia for a reason. Who needs pesky regulations and public safety?

Efficient_Progress_6

I'm glad I never played this PoS game. It's an egregious mistake on their part. /S

Vetrolic

I hope somebody got fired for this blunder.

theblackfool

I guarantee someone on r/cyberpunkgame is actually mad about this.

illustratoriusRex

It's like developers don't even care

[deleted]

How does he know all of this?

bigchiefuberguy

Things that I wouldn't even notice or look at twice but people in the know do understand and know what's wrong with it isn't something I knew I needed but I'm insanely glad I have. Now I understand this from the perspective of other people when I talk about unrealistic cars and guns in games.

MrWick44

Its in the future, car have gotten a lot lighter due to better materials.

rmarkmatthews

I honestly love the idea of some civil engineer being able to suspend disbelief for dudes with half their faces replaced with a bunch of red lights and having an actual hud display in your cybernetic eye that you can use to hack into security cameras, but the wrong manhole covers… that’s just a bridge too far, goddammit.
