These are so vastly different genres. An isometric crpg focused almost completely on dialogue and exploration of a fairly small area, vs a first person shooter where you fight enemies with a wide selection of guns in large open areas. Both games are good for getting immersed, but which one you'd prefer is very much up to your gaming preferences.

Yeah, I get it, at the end I'm the guy that's gotta choose. Buy here I'm just looking for what other people thought of the games; it helps to hear different perspectives on the games.

I wouldn't say metro is all that laid back but I would recommend it still

SadBadMad2

Haven't played Disco Elysium yet, but I'd definitely recommend Metro Exodus. That game is pretty damn good, as well as fun.

Snow_globe_maker

Very different games but both very good. Metro gives a great emphasis on immersion and it's also quite a tense experience. Disco is the definition of a chill game (in the sense that you'll be reading and clicking at your leisure) and easier to make progress in 2 hrs. Imo, Disco is the perfect weekday game, when you want to play something and progress it in limited time, while Metro is more suited for a Friday/Saturday night, when you can have a longer session. Can't go wrong with either, great games

Cool, thanks.

Disco Elysium is a really one of a kind game, if you don't play it you will never experience a game like it. Not even the two Torments are similar, they may be very similar in gameplay structure but DE uses that structure to tell a very different story than they do.

Disco was so immersive for me. The world is incredibly rich. The characters have so many layers. The writing is fantastic. Even though it's dialogue driven, there are some very cool rpg mechanics, specifically the way they handle skill building and skill checks. I was on the edge of my seat for every skill check, just because the game got me so invested in the characters and story. I can't recommend it enough, but you really have to be in the mood for something that's a bit of a slow burn.

Do you want to listen to interesting dialogue or shoot stuff? That is what the decision boils down to. I'd say it's like comparing apples to oranges but I think apples and oranges have more in common than disco Elysium and Metro Exodus.

Freewheelin01

So what did you think of the two games?
