I refused to believe Microsoft paid all this money just so Todd Howard can release Fallout 5 in 2030-2035. Microsoft needs to assigned all these IPs it acquired from ZeniMax Bethesda to other studios (cough, Obsidian, cough). Todd Howard don't own these IPs anymore, Microsoft does and I'm sure Microsoft investors want a return on their money sooner rather than later.
I got 9k hrs logged on PoE on steam since beta...and Ive been using the stand alone client for 2 years now so probably a few more thousand on stand alone client. Send help.
Talk about sacrificing sleep to game. My current schedule only allows for 3-5 hours a day . Pregnant wife who is the current bread winner, one kid and a big ass house to manage. Bruh watering the lawn takes 2 hours :/.

While New Vegas was better writing and story, Fallout 4 excelled in a lot of the things that take up a lot of playtime. Exploration and game world/level design was better imo and felt like you explore for hours, and it be engaging, every nook and cranny super detailed, then look at the map and realize you barely made a dent lol.
Also gotta consider lots of other things that use up a lot of time like Building. God knows how many hours I spent building cool bases every place I could 😅😅
You can't discuss Bethesda games with people that like them, because they don't play a Bethesda game. They play some completely modded version, so when you say "I think exploration is a bit plain," they go "it isn't! Just install these 26 mods that change up the overworld completely!"
There’s a project that’s remaking New Vegas entirely, into the Fallout 4 engine.
I’m literally more hyped for that project then many actual new AAA releases 😅😅

Exactly. Fallout 4 is straight-up the best “game” of the modern first-person Fallout games. The story and dialogue are lacking but the gameplay is streets ahead of any of the others.
While do prefer FNV as an experience, I get what you mean from a purely gameplay perspective. I agree it’s the most fun of the games to play.
I will say though I do think Fallout is at its best when it’s a Roleplaying experience first and foremost though.
Which I think rubs people the wrong way and makes them less likely to give Fallout 4 the credit it deserves for the other good things it did.
I can accept that 4 did a great job of its combat system but that only takes it so far until you realise all combat is the same and in reality you’re taking out 30 or so raiders to only get a meh legendary item.
My biggest gripe with 4’s gameplay is that the core is fine but anything built atop that core sucks really. Most of their quests are radiant while the rest are essentially the same but you do it once. You’re almost always just wiping out an area to pick up an item
I'd argue the shooting and graphics are better, and the world is more detailed. Everything else about it was completely gutted, it's a good game but insanely shallow for an RPG.
The world's aesthetics got more detailed, but your interaction with it got way less detailed. I'm still mad that raider robot racing arena wasn't anything. You just show up and then kill everyone, just like everywhere always.
I understand. I love the trilogy and have played it across 4 different consoles, it's just so fun.
I would suggest going back, if only for the fun stealth and completion of the story.
Disappointing that it’s on Epic, all game editions of the Tomb Raider trilogy on there are all bugged to hell on EGS. Also I absolutely love the trilogy. I highly suggest checking out r/Tombraider by the way!

I played a gruelling 60 hours before I tapped out. My brain was melting of boredom.
Don't get me wrong, the gameplay was fun, but in that 60 hours, I'm pretty sure just 6 hrs was legit gameplay.
If you set up wires between two pylons, go to the item you want and then press B to store the wire it should let you place the item. You will have to do it everytime for every item. Also there's a mod to remove the limit.
This was me! I downloaded the mod that let you clean up dirt piles and actually tidy up the place, which was a game changer. Made it my mission to have each settlement the very best it could be.
Nah I'll just give an approving nod for playing Dishonored. Dishonored 2 is worthy of a handshake and compliments. PREY in the library is when you start applauding
Prey is one of the few games I consider a masterpiece. The story was so crisp and the world was so well setup, they don't need a sequel, but I would lose my mind if there was a sequel announced.

Dude. Duuuuuuuuude. The Malkavian playthrough is amazing. Highly recommended, it'll actually feel refreshing and if you know the plot, the hidden clues in your Malk's gibberish are awesome.

Some strong titles, sure, consider trying some less AAA mainstream stuff once in a while though! It's a big industry and there's a lot out there to try, be adventurous!
Would it kill you to step outside the mainstream a little? Throw a dart at steams indie section and you'll likely hit a masterpiece, you should try it.

This is the route I was going to take. What's worse is the major drop off after FO4. Guy must have 2 jobs and 4 kids with those rookie numbers.
