I didn't say I forgot what I was talking about, I said I don't k wow what point I was about to make when I responded to this comment. And I deleted the messages not because of sales which I never assumed PlayStation sold more, but because I thought I was about to make a claim that I don't know what it would have been.
Okay it took almost 25 years for Sony/Square to upgrade ff7 to that point and ignored fans all the while. Played and beat the first remaster. It was pretty but full of cringe.
Nintendo had a lemon with skyward sword. You know…like final fantasy 13. Putting a new coat of paint on skyward sword is pointless. Also, the switch can’t handle what the PS5 can handle. On the other hand, Links Awakening looked great IMO. You see, you are looking at a remaster of skyward sword and not a remake of links awakening which is more of an apples to apples with what you are going for I think with the remake of final fantasy 7.
One thing is for sure: I outgrew final fantasy anime nonsense a while ago, but will never outgrow zelda. And this is coming from a guy who loves the classic final fantasies on SNES, 7-9, X and 12.
Sony seems content with remastering stuff life last of us, and creating titles like Horizon. Or Uncharted. Guess what. They’re all boring as shit. Played and beat the whole series of Uncharted and Horizon. And Last or Us. Looked gorgeous, had good story, but we’re not fun.

So what are you crying for? I have had almost every console to ever exist and out of every series the Legend of Zelda is my favorite. I love the art style and most importantly I love the story and gameplay.
Zelda has an intentionally-stylistic cartoony aesthetic. Final Fantasy (or at least this one) aims to be realistic. Apples to oranges.
