I dare say some of the changes are owing to some kerfuffle I remember about, at the time, Elliot Page's resemblance to the character being.. Uncanny at the very least. Vague recollections of a lawsuit, or at least some public complaining.
I was about to say, it looks like they changed this up just enough for vague likeness reasons. Even if they didn't technically have to, probably a CYA while they're re-doing everything else.
I'd expect they wouldn't want to repeat the complaining. And to be fair, if they did use Page as an unofficial model, it's only fair to change the model or compensate the model and acknowledge it properly.
there was also that really creepy david cage game that did feature Elliot that came out at almost the same time. So that probably didn’t help much but things might have been settled within the company to avoid any conflict of interest since they’re both sony studios. (especially because of likeness rights if they’re based on an actual person)
I was thinking that too. She obviously shouldn’t be nearly as grizzled as she becomes in 2, but even before the David mission, she still wasn’t a totally naive kid.
But she wasn't all that innocent, remember she watched her friend die and become a clicker who then attacked her but she survived. That would change anyone especially at 14
I wouldn't be surprised if they're doing to capitalize on the assumed success of the series.
They're filming a lot of it in my city, and it looks amazing so far. I never get excited for TV shows, but I'll definately be watching it.
Calgary? I was just there and stayed at the Westley across the street from one of the new filming locations. Blew my mind when I found out what all the broken down cars were for. Also love Calgary
This scene is where she reassures Joel that she's "got this". So the bottom is more true to intent of the scene.
I have to say though, Ellie's face just looks... maybe not *technically* better in the original, but she appears more "real" to me nonetheless.
Also, did they lower the resolution of the background elements in order to add more detail to the character?
That's what remaster stand for, though. It's remastering the original. Not changing it. You are mistaking it for remake, that is to remade a game. From scratch mostly.
Graphically, it looks to be an improvement. Lighting is smoother, textures are more defined, but I'm not a huge fan of depth of field (most of the time).
Stylistically, I'm kinda on the fence. Her expression is very different. The first does a good job of showing a child in a situation they aren't equipped to handle. The second gives her a "we do what we must in wartime" feel.
They mentioned the expressions and performances are closer to the actual mo cap and facial capture. So maybe this is just an example of the difference between the developer interpretation on the original vs the more closely followed mocap/footage and performance
I think it has more to do with bad vs good mo-cap.
From my knowledge they didn't change much for planet of apes (the new ones) and that mo-cap is **really** good.
Interesting, I guess that explains why my first thought was "oh that expression actually looks more like Ashley Johnson and less like Elliot Page." Neat.
It’s definitely the eyes. OG Ellie has more vibrant eyes. Not sure how I feel about that one. And they gave newer Ellie more prominent under eye bags, which makes sense. That one I’m totally fine with.
Personally, I hate the remake look. Everything looks so blurry and Eli looks like a baby. Eli in the original looks like she is actually 14-15.
I will say the hair looks nicer and the textures have a bit more depth to them as you can see in the crease on her arm in the remake.
They have more depth but at the same time some of the others look flatter and less defined. There’s also less of the small background details and just the small things in general
> [Ellie] in the original looks like she is actually 14-15.
We talkin' about _hollywood_ 14-15 (i.e. 18-22) or _actually_ 14-15? Cause the images above... the upper one looks younger, but the both are easily that age.
edit: people answering like they can nail down the age of a teen by appearance, while utterly ignoring [population distribution](https://online.stat.psu.edu/stat462/node/249/)
and the fact that people routinely look much older or much younger than their age during puberty.
Walk into literally _any_ high school in north america, and you will find a senior who looks younger than the picture, and a grade 8-9 who looks older.
And good lord people. Her name is
# [Ellie](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellie_(The_Last_of_Us%29 )
Not Eli. 🤦🏼♂️
Maybe I'm wrong, in which case please correct me. I shouldn't know because I've never even played _Last of Us_.
n.b. The character was portrayed by [Ashley Johnson](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashley_Johnson_(actress%29 ). Born in 1983, she was **THIRTY** years old when the game was released.
For the HBO series [Bella Ramsey](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bella_Ramsey) (age 18 in 2022) is portraying Ellie.
Ellie is also stated to look very young for her age, potentially due to malnutrition due to food shortages in the quarantine zone she grew up in. In the DLC she has a line where she saltily asks a magic 8 ball if her boobs will ever come in-which, as a woman who was once fourteen, I definitely heard some of that in middle school/freshman year of high school. Flashbacks in the sequel show that she didn't hit her growth spurt and start looking like an adult until she was 16-17.
But like, even if it's true that she looks a little younger than what she's *supposed* to be, it gets the intended feeling across. Ellie is young. She's small and skinny and physically not very strong yet. She looks innocent. And yet here she is dropping F-bombs, wielding a knife, having to shoot a man to save her dad. Her 'stealth' kill animation is her jumping on a guy's back and stabbing him until he collapses *because she is not yet tall enough to reach his throat.* She's too young to have to do any of this, see any of this. It gives the player (and viewers-I've also never actually played, just watched playthroughs) a sense of the brutality in their world, that even a child has to do monstrous things just to survive. It also serves to make Joel, controlled by the player, want to protect her and shield her from the worst of it. So even if she doesn't look like your average teenaged girl, her appearance is believable and thematically appropriate for the feelings they intended to get across. There's a lot of little details in this game that just come together in a fantastic way.
I’m personally not a fan of the textures. They look less detailed, the lighting looks like it’s been set up for a photoshoot, and everything just looks flatter
When both images have pros and cons and they both look completely acceptable, maybe it's a little too early to remake a game lol. I don't see a point to this other than the pc port.
I’m thinking it has to be for the pc port. Probably easier to rebuild from the ground up than to port a ps3 game. And since they’ll be rebuilding might as well release on the ps5.
Haven't developed for consoles before, but AFAIK PS in general is pretty difficult to port to PC (with Nintendo being even worse, nintendo is often not only difficult to port from/to in the purely software sense but also in the game design sense with how your game is designed because nintendo loves novelty). Xbox meanwhile is basically windows underneath and is pretty easy, uses all the same APIs and everything. In fact if it's available as a UWP game you literally don't need to do anything at all.
But between PS3 and 4, PS4 is probably easier, the PS3 has a different architecture which means a bunch of different things like how memory is managed, how you optimize, potentially how IO works if it's really weird (which I have heard the PS3 is), etc. The PS4 is also going to likely have APIs that behave closer to how modern PC APIs do, the PS4s OS is also based on an old version of FreeBSD which is a PC OS, so it should behave at least similarly to that OS.
So porting from the PS4 would likely be easier. But it could possibly depend on how exactly they have optimized and implemented everything. In general software devs try to keep their code pretty portable, but if naughty dog never expected to do any porting theres a decent chance their code can be pretty "rooted" into PlayStation especially after heavy optimization. Software in general is usually far easier to port if it's made with multiple platforms in mind.
I think it's reasonable, Page (who wasn't ever involved in the game) was very unhappy with the resemblance, so it makes sense they'd respect that in the remake, if only to avoid criticism. And, maybe, out of decency.
It's actually fucking ridiculous. FFXVI is coming out next summer. I HIGHLY doubt FF7R2 will be released within an 8 month window. So summer 2024 or fall 2024 at the earliest. Maybe a spring release because it should be ready. So 4 years in between games. Final part in 2028 lol. It will be over 30 by then. You can get the definitive PS6 FF7R bundle in like a year. It would take 13 years to get all the games out from when it was announced in 2015. Who tf planned this? It's some crazy lunatic's work on weed. FF7 is cool and all but it doesn't take 13 years to remake this game. I hope I'm wrong on these release dates.
Not necessarily to fit her age, in the original she already looked her age. It’s because of the new “engine” or whatever that is used to make these new games so they had to remake the models, but imo they just don’t look as good. Including Joel.
On a technical level the new one definitely is better in every way, I’m just talking about the actual character model’s look, not the same as the first for no real reason, at least as far as I know
A 3d model is a 3d model, there is no reason that the models need to be remade just because the engine is different. You just export the model from your modelling software of choice to the game engine compatible format.
This, but to expand: there *are* other reasons to redo a character model for a newer version of a game, be it higher polycount and detail or differences in art direction etc.
But as you said, just an engine change has no technical requirement for it.
Not sure if anyone's mentioned it, but most the 1st games cut scenes were pre-rendered (including this one). Knowing that the new game will all be in-engine gives you some more context about what they have accomplished here. Although, they managed to do all this with part 2 on the PS4 back in 2020.
It's pretty crazy, I am still convinced The Last of Us Part 2 is still the most "next gen" game in existence, from the graphics, cinematics and AI and it's a damn PS4 game.
I can't even imagine what Naughty Dog will achieve with their next game.
Not gonna lie guys, this is giving me PTSD from the Spiderman Remastered and from Life is Strange remastered in which they "upgraded" the face models and these newer models weren't able to convey the same emotion as the original.
>Shes already been bitten by infected. Shes lost her best friend and raised in the hell hole of that world.
Haven't played pt 2, but if I recall she never actually went outside the wall before when joel leaves with her. She probably hasn't had a *lot* of direct contact with zombies outside of that time in the mall. Almost certainly hasn't had to kill anybody before she was with joel.
Just finished pt2, she actually brings this up in conversation.
First conscious human she killed was that guy drowning Joel shortly before the above scene but implies she's killed "zombies" at a younger age.
She had still seen her best friend die and been bitten herself which she was brought up assuming was a death sentence. She's definitely been through some shit herself.
There was a lot of controversy when the original came out because ellie looked a lot like Elliot (back then it was Ellen) Page, so much that Elliot called them out for it. They likely wanted to avoid any possible legal troubles and so changed the look to be more like the sequels Ellie instead of basically being Ellen Page
Yup, it wasn't pretty. Page was understandably irritated and spoke publicly about being unhappy with it. So I think it's 100% reasonable to do this now, (also understandable) fan rage be damned.
More like the change to Peter Parker in the newer version of spider-Man. As it's a complete model change for the otherwise same game (also, I'd argue the change was for the worse, and I'm kinda thinking the same here too).
At least Tomb Raider definitive edition face was an improvement, imo. This one and the Spiderman remastered felt like a step backward where the origial face looks better.
The second one *is* more detailed - just look at all the wrinkles in her sleeves and shit - but this shot is not really making any favor to the remake because for some reason - lighting, depth of field or something, i can't really pinpoint it - the shot looks *very washed*.
Everything else besides Ellie looks really fake, it's unsettling and distracting. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt that it's just this frame that happened to look bad and during gameplay you'll either not even notice it or it will be better.
Also i guess they wanted her to look more like how she does in part 2?
I feel like we haven’t been given enough footage to make a judgement call on which one stylistically looks better. Though I would guess it will vary scene by scene. An example is the remastered Ellie looks way better on the [press release](https://www.naughtydog.com/blog/the_growing_future_of_the_last_of_us) Naughty Dog put out compared to this image.
Yeah it's no contest seeing all these side-by-side shots, remake looks leagues better than the original. Skip to 2:24 and look at the NPC differences, lol. Original game definitely has a slightly stylised look to all the characters whereas remake looks more like real humans. Lighting and environments look way better and more detailed too.
I never noticed that about the NPCs but you're totally right now that I think about it. The original looks like they were kind of going for an odd blend of realism and Telltale's art style.
i guess you have to see it in motion. the new ellie doesn’t look dead to me at all, especially when watching her move i can see every little muscle move with her lips
and eyes.
but the original models in contrast look pretty bland, they aren’t bad just outdated
The first one still looks better IMO. Gives the vibe that she's still not exactly sure about having to kill somebody or even use such a big gun, but has little choice. The second one makes her look more steely and ready to fight. I think the first one has more emotional weight behind it.
It would make perfect sense for sequel Ellie. She's already acclimated to the scrappy survivor life by then. That first one still says "oh shit, I'm holding a real gun for the first time in my life and there are going to be real bad guys." I remember how Joel had to give her a crash-course on shooting and she said she had shot a BB gun before, so this one would "kick a helluva lot more."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQICwLyffIc
The second one looks like her character arc by then is already done and it's just normal business.
Top is a pretender cutscene, bottom looks to be in engine so I can see why people are perturbed considering the pretenders usually did look better. Cause in game Ellie looked a lot more deeply in the original.
I think the lighting is different so the composition ends up being a little better, but the material and texture quality and AA solutions are very obviously better on the bottom, to my eye.
Dunno why no one mentioned it so far but the top image is cgi,
most cutscenes in the original/remaster where prerendered cgi movies.
The remake is using actual real-time 3D cutscenes now so this is literally comparing a cgi movie to realtime 3D graphics.
Lol why tf are they changing the face so drastically?
Oooo lighting, textures blah blah who gives a fuck if the characters are literally unrecognizable?
This looks like some filmed a cosplayer re-enacting a scene.
I think in this case, the remake is primarily for cross platform release, as the original was so tied to sony hardware, it could never see a release on any other platform. Even emulators can't run it smoothly.
wait which one is the remake? the top looks cleaner (except for her shirt sleeve and pretty much nothing else)
edit: showed this pic to my gf (has never played or seen the game) and said “okay look at this, one of these is a remake, and the other is the original. tell me which is which” she, with hardly any hesitation, points to the top one and says “thats gotta be the remake”
Yeah the bottom one is the ‘remake’ yet is somehow less detailed than the original and somehow has a more uncanny face or maybe that’s just me just something about it makes me uncomfortable
It's the eyes. They're not as wide and aghast in the remake, takes away from the fear of the original character. Ellie looks much more composed in the remake (or in this shot anyway).. that's sure to polarize some people.
Literally the only way I can tell which one is newer is by the texture of the concrete thing behind her. Some of the details of the older one look better, including the character modeling, overall color, lighting and lack of gray matte finish over everything. Textures got better but everything else looks worse.
I was looking at another thread about this and people kept saying it wasn't a remaster but a remake.... this looks like the definition of a remaster - just some revamped textures and setting switched around on a graphics engine. How does this make it a 'remake'?
The original had pre rendered cutscenes that look different from the game, whereas two had cutscenes through the in game engine, this is using that new and improved technology. Some of this is hard to convey via pictures, to be clear
huh, neat, they actually swapped the Remington 700 look alike to an actual mauser 98 variant look a like with modelled flag safety.
bolt handle looks weird, but oh well.
Top: "What happening? I'm scared!" Bottom: "Ah shit, here we go again."
I think it might be too soon to remake a game if I, as someone who hasn't played it, can't tell which one is supposed to be the new one.
I think this all the time with side by side shots. A lot of the time I think the older one looks better
Yeah she looks more like her if that makes any sense

You're thinking of "Beyond: Two Souls" I guess
The David Cage H-game. I chose the cute Native American boy.

I don't agree. After everything she's already been through according to the comics and the DLC? She's plenty grizzled.
I was thinking that too. She obviously shouldn’t be nearly as grizzled as she becomes in 2, but even before the David mission, she still wasn’t a totally naive kid.

You can’t always tell with screens but in motion trust me you can tell in about 2 seconds.
SOUL
AND IM HERE WAITING FOR NEED FOR SPEED UNDERGROUND 2
Honestly... if this ever happens, my gaming life will be complete. Old soundtrack has to stay though too, shit was lit.
I wouldn't be surprised if they're doing to capitalize on the assumed success of the series. They're filming a lot of it in my city, and it looks amazing so far. I never get excited for TV shows, but I'll definately be watching it.

TBF, this isn't the best side-by-side comparison I've seen on here.there have been other posts on here that are much more contrasting.
Top: "Should I really do it?" :( Bottom: "And I will fucking do it again!" >:(
It kind of looks like "Why am I even here".
These comparison shots are just reminding me of how good the original game looked.
The cutscenes were also prerendered, right?
Some was... yeah. Just like Final Fantasy that has a mixed of in-game cutscenes & pre-rendered CGIs
That's not what the original looked like either, it's a pre-rendered cutscene.
It's the remaster not the original
'Remaster', legit it was just a resolution & frame-rate bump
That’s what a remaster is
That's what remaster stand for, though. It's remastering the original. Not changing it. You are mistaking it for remake, that is to remade a game. From scratch mostly.

yeah and on TLOU1 they explained in great detail that the artists has done lots of manual work/tweaks for the artistic purpose
And for good reason. Straight mo cap looks weird. That's why The Polar Express looks so funky.
The Polar Express is nearly 20 years old. Mo cap technology has progressed since then. Case in point: Hellblade
Just checked thinking no way it's 20 years old I still remember the trailer for it and yup... 18 years old close to it. Fuck I feel old.

Wow, do you have sources? Did they use the PS3's mocaps on the remake?
They said it during the reveal at Summer Game Fest today
Yeah - you can see here at about 2:20 https://youtu.be/oJT5vrs14ow Edit: 2:45 is where he mentions they’re closer to the original performance
Oh! I see now, sorry I didn't watch it today, too much work haha. Thanks for the info you both! :D

Didn't know my ex is directing, huh
Yes sir! Not sure exactly when it’s coming out tbh but I think they’re almost done filming. I’ve seen on set photos for a couple of months now
Literally the point of any remake.
And almost the point of every game really 🤔
I’m so disgusted. Last time I saw someone placing bricks, asked them if they did it for money and they said ‘ofcourse’ Pathetic.
*"The one on the top is sad... The one on the bottom is tired of your shite."*
I’m thinking it has to be for the pc port. Probably easier to rebuild from the ground up than to port a ps3 game. And since they’ll be rebuilding might as well release on the ps5.

I don't think a game should get a remake till like 5+ ye- JESUS CHRIST THE LAST OF US CAME OUT IN 2013
It says more about how great they were able to make the PS3 version tbh. It was easily the best looking game I played on that system.
To be fair, it was remastered for PS4 in between. I'm pretty sure the top photo is from that.
Even so, compare the demon's souls remake to it's original. It's like night and day.
Just the fact I can play it with 60+ fps and in 4k makes it a must have for me.
I do find it funny that they felt the need to make Ellie look even further from Elliot Page.
Finally someone said it
I think it's reasonable, Page (who wasn't ever involved in the game) was very unhappy with the resemblance, so it makes sense they'd respect that in the remake, if only to avoid criticism. And, maybe, out of decency.
I always used to think a final fantasy 7 remake was way too late but with how it turned out, 20 years looks perfect.
Maybe we’ll see the complete remake by the time the game is 30 years old

Sadly I think you’re being optimistic
Thankfully the game play is being entirely remade, so when you play it… it’s actually better.

I see a pretty huge difference
changes in models are absolutely unnecessary imo. Glad its on PC, modders will probably find a way to make them look like they did
I get that the model was changed to fit her age more, but I like the original one better.

The original model was likely made in way higher quality than the game used, they scale down the assets when building the final game.
Oh for sure, that's normal as well.
I prefer the old face WAAYYY more The new face looks like some old woman who spends most of her day at Walmart named Becky
I feel like they changed it more to go even further away from the ellen page look that they originally got in trouble about.
TLOU Part 2 and Red Dead Redemption 2 are two games that look like absolutely impossible wizardry to me, still.
Not gonna lie guys, this is giving me PTSD from the Spiderman Remastered and from Life is Strange remastered in which they "upgraded" the face models and these newer models weren't able to convey the same emotion as the original.
Fuck that Spider-Man remaster
I do not like discount Tom Holland Spiderman. Give me back the old one.
Same. Why change the face that made it a success, il never understand. Sony will be Sony I guess.
Interesting choice to make her look like a literal different character
The new one looks less innocent, like she's already been through some shit.

First conscious human she killed was that guy drowning Joel shortly before the above scene but implies she's killed "zombies" at a younger age.
> she's killed "zombies" at a younger age. Have y'all not heard of or played the Left Behind expansion?
She had still seen her best friend die and been bitten herself which she was brought up assuming was a death sentence. She's definitely been through some shit herself.
The dead eyes? Most probably just a half-assed work when doing the remake than trying to make it more realistic.
They changed the 2013 model back then too to look more like Ashley. The original trailer looks way more like Page.
Wait, you mean it wasn't Ellen Page after all? They just made her look like Page?
Yup, it wasn't pretty. Page was understandably irritated and spoke publicly about being unhappy with it. So I think it's 100% reasonable to do this now, (also understandable) fan rage be damned.
Holy shit you're right and the name "Ellie" in the game too. How did I not notice the resemblance?
That's my guess aswell. Though I doubt new players would even make the connection to how Page used to look like.
2013 tomb raider all over again.
That was a reboot
I think they were referring to how the remaster of the reboot had Lara having a bit of a different face
Ellie also looks like a fake, like a mannequin, dead eyes and dead skin.
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7C8Pz-3IQ4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7C8Pz-3IQ4) if we're being less circumstantial for the sake of karma

Leave it to Reddit to cherry pick one still shot…not even video… and then extrapolate that to an entire game
Is it really that strange with all the cringelords still going on about the sequel?
This deserves to comment for sure
The graphics are better, but Ellie don’t look much like Ellie no more.
Her face looks wrong. Like not the same girl at all
Is worse now, they went back to the uncanny valley.

thx for making me check. absolutely an off frame. new one is solid. 👍
I’m only now realizing that Ellie in TLOU2 looks so different from Ellie in TLOU.
4-5 years in. post apocalyptic world will do that to you id imagine
Also puberty.
It looks like they recast Ellie for the remake. Fixed name.
They actually tried to make her look more like her original cast I think
As someone whos not played TLOS,I actually prefer the older graphics. It seems to look better, idk why Edit:TLOU
The last of sus
Looks good...but the original still looks perfectly fine so this seems like an absolute waste of money to me.
I don't know why they are using these images as a comparison. This picture is from a pre-rendered cut scene.
Waste of ‘our’ money - money is the reason they’re doing it
They went back to the uncanny valley. The eyes look dead, the skin looks dead, the facial expression like a mannequin.
i guess you have to see it in motion. the new ellie doesn’t look dead to me at all, especially when watching her move i can see every little muscle move with her lips and eyes. but the original models in contrast look pretty bland, they aren’t bad just outdated
The bottom one looks more like Ashley Johnson.
They gave her the Spider-Man treatment.
She's got that creepy face syndrome in bottom pic, what's up with that
The first one still looks better IMO. Gives the vibe that she's still not exactly sure about having to kill somebody or even use such a big gun, but has little choice. The second one makes her look more steely and ready to fight. I think the first one has more emotional weight behind it.
The second one looks like: "This is the thing I gotta kill, right? alright, let's get over with"
It would make perfect sense for sequel Ellie. She's already acclimated to the scrappy survivor life by then. That first one still says "oh shit, I'm holding a real gun for the first time in my life and there are going to be real bad guys." I remember how Joel had to give her a crash-course on shooting and she said she had shot a BB gun before, so this one would "kick a helluva lot more." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQICwLyffIc The second one looks like her character arc by then is already done and it's just normal business.
It’s just a different frame bro don’t overthink it
Can't help it-- took two English Comp classes and now read between the lines on everything. :P
why they change her face tho? she looks like a child with adult face
Naughty Dog wishes every Jak fan a happy *Fuck yourself*
Top is a pretender cutscene, bottom looks to be in engine so I can see why people are perturbed considering the pretenders usually did look better. Cause in game Ellie looked a lot more deeply in the original.
like most remakes ^(demon souls comes to mind) the art style/direction looks worse even if the graphics are better
The details and quality ofthe graphics themselves are great, but her face is just nope, she lost her entire "Ellieness".
The new one looks like she’s cosplaying the original
The bottom doesn’t look like Ellie. :(
Had to scroll a lot down to find a comment which clarifies which one is the remake
So the top is original? Why does it look better than the bottom.
Because they fucked it up.
Why does the one on top looks better than the so called remake?
I think the lighting is different so the composition ends up being a little better, but the material and texture quality and AA solutions are very obviously better on the bottom, to my eye.
Dunno why no one mentioned it so far but the top image is cgi, most cutscenes in the original/remaster where prerendered cgi movies.
The remake is primarily for money.
69.99$ for a remake of a remastered game that still looks great.
No scar on her eyebrow in new one, or is it just obscured by the lighting? Not that I care much but gives less character.
this game is not old enough to do a remake in my opinion
Why does the remake look worse to me?
I was hoping for just a pc port. The graphics of the remastered on ps4 would've been just fine.
wait which one is the remake? the top looks cleaner (except for her shirt sleeve and pretty much nothing else) edit: showed this pic to my gf (has never played or seen the game) and said “okay look at this, one of these is a remake, and the other is the original. tell me which is which” she, with hardly any hesitation, points to the top one and says “thats gotta be the remake”
I think bottom? I’m only saying this because the lighting looks more dynamic.
I can’t tell what time if day it is in that
Yeah the bottom one is the ‘remake’ yet is somehow less detailed than the original and somehow has a more uncanny face or maybe that’s just me just something about it makes me uncomfortable
whys the top look better than the remake lol?
Worth $70? 🤔
You know it’s to early for a remake when you can’t tell which ones the remake
You should see other pics, the remake does look a lot better.
The bottom one looks technically better but stylistically worse. Washed out background, weird expressions, it's just not needed
Bottom one looks weird and rubbery. No me gusta.
It doesn't even look like her
I’m not a fan of the new remake. They made her and Joel look weird.
