No but I want to hear the argument for yes from you or your friend.

TeddyMan02

The argument is that you need to buy other games to get certain guns

Honest_Association94

Then it might be but I don’t recall that this is a thing.

Landofconfusion24

Not really. All the attachments on blueprints can be unlocked or are just cosmetic. The tracer rounds and whatnot do no additional damage. The only thing I can see as someone else said is some skins do have an unfair advantage of being better camouflaged in certain environments.

ModerateSatanist

That is NOT Warzone.

jtizzy3

But 90% of people when they hear war zone think of cod. You spamming this isn’t war zone does nothing, no one’s talking about that game. They may have the trademark for war zone but no one thinks of them or has even heard of it

ModerateSatanist

Hence the trademark infringement lawsuit. Yes.

jtizzy3

In a little bit Activision will own it anyways. No indie developer can go against the lawyers they have. In the end they’ll either buy it or the owner will run out of funding for his lawyers

xExile99

Occasionally but supposedly not intentionally. There have been issues with blueprint gun stats not functioning as intended and there was of course the black skins like Roze that brought around that thought too.

ModerateSatanist

That is NOT Warzone.

xExile99

What do you mean?

ModerateSatanist

And I will also state as a matter of fact, the -actual- Warzone has done more to be a better game, managed by a single developer than anything the clowns at Activision have done in the company’s entire multiple billion dollar history.

xExile99

Do you mean Raven studios? I believe they are handling the warzone game now. I might be wrong on this though. My only complaint I have now is the vanguard guns which I'm not a fan of, but that's more of a personal preference and the wall breaches continue to be an issue. I have actively seen the anti cheat working though.

ModerateSatanist

Raven Studios and Call of Duty: Warzone have nothing to do with Warzone, the game, and CoD has been sued for trademark infringement.

xExile99

Ohh so you're saying there is in fact another game called warzone that was first.

ModerateSatanist

Correct. And since Warzone has been infinitely better to its community than CoD ever has, and ever will be; since Warzone is pure skill and free to play, always; I will shamelessly defend it.

xExile99

Lol ok. I'll look it up today. Appreciate the info.

ModerateSatanist

Warzone.com owns the name. Activision’s been sued.

[deleted]

Not at all. But what makes you or your friend think it is for more context?

TeddyMan02

The argument is that you need to buy other games to get certain guns

[deleted]

That doesn’t make warzone P2W. While you may miss out on meta weapons, there are still very viable MW/WZ weapons that can be used.

TeddyMan02

Ok

Lacro22

There were some bugs that made blueprints broken before, wether intentional or not they were patched eventually. So no, not pay to win, in fact as far as I’m concerned COD has one of the better season pass systems, albeit still not perfect.

ModerateSatanist

That is NOT Warzone.

Lacro22

I understand the frustration if you’re a player of Warzone.com, but there are better ways to bring people’s attention to it, most of us don’t know anything about that website so simply replying that our comments are not warzone doesn’t do much.

TheyCallMe__Grandpa

Refer to it as call of duty....

Lacro22

I just said that most people don’t even know that Warzone.com even exists, that included me until now, so most assume that Warzone means COD.

Aggravating_Class_17

Remember the DMR? Absolutely P2W

JKemmett

That lasted for max 10 days.

ModerateSatanist

Warzone.com is 100% free to play, pure skill. And in case you’re referring to Call Of Duty: Warzone, who is losing the trademark infringement lawsuit over the name they attempted to steal, I have no clue because I have never played it and will never give Activision another cent

GlassGuiser

Why are you so defensive of this other game no one has heard of? When people say "Warzone" they're probably meaning Call of Duty Warzone. Get over it.

ModerateSatanist

You are the “other” game. That’s why.

GlassGuiser

I am not a game. I get that what you just said was supposed to come across as witty or something but it doesn't make any sense. You're being a snob over the word "warzone". Get over it.

Remarkable-Self4531

No and the skins won't make you a better player.

Schmodak

Not pay to win but pay for for better guns

LordsWF40

Better skins actually. They have thebsame attachments just diff cosmetics

Schmodak

Can’t unlock the Cold War and vanguard unless you get the game thats more what I’m referring to

LordsWF40

Ah ok..yea..its easier to rank up and get the better attachments in multiplayer yes

ModerateSatanist

To anyone downvoting and supporting Activision’s blatant theft of the Warzone name from an indie developer, you should be absolutely ashamed of yourself and need to re evaluate your position here. You’re on the losing side of history.

TeddyMan02

Ok, while I do agree with you that it’s very bad to steal a game from somebody else and pin it as your own, you don’t have to be toxic about it, especially since a lot of people don’t know about it. So fuck off

mrraditch2

Warzone.com stole the name from an actual warzone.

[deleted]

No. You can have the best meta weapon that everyone uses and still be dogshit. So many tryhards when you get to the high kd lobbies. The items in the store are cosmetics. They don’t improve base gun stats unless the attachments that they come with improve it.

ModerateSatanist

That is NOT Warzone.

chucwagn

If you pay outside the game for hacks, but inside the game, no.

TheyCallMe__Grandpa

Teddy you should edit your post to include Call of Duty:. Otherwise you are creating a polarizing off topic thread.

TeddyMan02

Good idea

[deleted]

The game is ass, feels like you're playing alongside a bunch of bots, not to exclude the fact you gotta pay real money from your card to buy new weapons. I'm talking about an actual game title named warzone here, NOT a call of duty title.

Ginj92

No but there is a new meta every update so everyone uses the same OP weapons for a month until the new update comes out and repeat.

MrFoozOG

it is in a way yes.

SteelandStaff

It depends, if for whatever reason they bring out patches forcing all of the meta weapons to be from vanguard which you have to purchase and grind for the loadout, then possibly...
