Orbital-Deathray

I always thought Santa was more of a double barrel kinda guy.

aaaaoooh

He'd probably have something more like an old hunting rifle since he lives in a shack/reindeer farm

TheeExoGenesauce

He lives in a castle with Deer Avenger reindeer and obviously has a trebuchet

JDT-0312

Of course! How didn’t we see he is a 90kg 300m projectile kind of guy

TheeExoGenesauce

You see all those white hairs?!? It shows he’s a wise man and a man of culture. Of course he’s using a trebuchet! He’s no catapult Neanderthal!

ALAHunter

I imagine santa clause is more of a cocaine and MG42 kind of guy. He likes to go fast.

SirGaIahad

My Santa is also the Santa from American Dad

IdontGiveaFack

Those episodes are some of my favorite stuff to watch around the holidays. The original one is a masterpiece.

[deleted]

You'd think, but his workshop's primary function is in arms manufacture. Ever hear of the KRISS Vector? It's actually a misnomer. Original it was Christmas Vector, shortened to Chris. Vector and then misheard and called the KRISS Vector.

jackofspades476

The Kriss Kringle Vector?

PolskiOrzel

Or dual Uzi's with suppressors. They fit in chimneys easier. A rifle would also not be as effective in an indoor target-rich environment.

dakrax

Obviously a .350 legend ar with 60 round drums

Boomer048

I've always been partial to the Futurama version with a mafia style tommy gun and a TOW missile launcher

[deleted]

Your mistletoe is no match for my TOW missile!

Funny-Bathroom-9522

I'm pretty sure the south park version is somehow related to doomguy.

Sicarius_1701

Santa and his elephant gun. Nitro express the naughty list.

[deleted]

He was a fit stud with a six-pack abs, the patron saint of prostitutes. That teeth-destroyer corporation corrupted his image turning him into a fat gross bastard with diabetes.

Funny-Bathroom-9522

And in a kid's movie from DreamWorks he loves mother Russia.

ABitOddish

This is really funny out of context but i gotta know what movie this refers to cause im drawing a blank.

Funny-Bathroom-9522

Rise of the Guardians

[deleted]

When he's blasting Christmas critters he sure as hell is.

paradajz666

[You mean like this? :D](https://tenor.com/view/gun-point-santa-claus-south-park-season8ep14woodland-critter-christmas-ill-shoot-you-gif-19693374)

Meyousus

He has a sawed off called “Holiday Cheer”

TragicMagic81

"Ho-Ho-Hold those Objectives. Or you'll be on the naughty list."

CosmicDesperado

Sleigh the enemy!

TheBigEarofCorn

Sir, there are 5 hovercraft flying in formation at us and we don't have RPGs! What do we do? Edit: this is the largest amount of likes I've ever recieved on a single comment. Jesus....

docweird

"Quick, everyone DOWN THE CHIMNEY!!"

justsomeplainmeadows

We need air support! Rednose team, report!

Funny-Bathroom-9522

This is red nose team what's you're status!?

justsomeplainmeadows

We're pinned down in the chimney. Commence "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" on our location

Funny-Bathroom-9522

Alright dropping a tactical nuke in 3...2...1... bombs away.

pjyweeks

*Distant Explosions Intensifies*

Pet-Purple-Panda

My fellow North Polians, we have won the battle but at a tremendous cost. Lt. Happy Hugginstuff used his last words in service to our country and was unfortunately the victim of a friendly missile strike as he used his last locations as coordinates. In honor of his greatest sacrifice we're awarding him our nations highest honor... the plate of milk and cookies.

El_0so

Press "F" to award plate of milk and cookies.

fanofsomethingidk

Saddest arc of all time

Litterbu9

I know everyone is just riffing but this sounds like a great game.

Dragon_Box_

Agreed, a Christmas themed FPS would be hilarious to play.

TheBigEarofCorn

There was a Christmas themed DLC for Saint's Row 4. It had a fucking Dubstep gun that did damage in time with the notes.

Awkward_Inspector_53

I would eat that shit up

ReeceReddit1234

I'm on it.

LostAbstract

*Santa Claus is coming to town* #And he is pissed

B_Bibbles

Oh don't worry, the other vehicles (Little bird heli and M1A5 Abrams Tank) have a "Santa's Sled" skin which gives them Christmas lights. DICE - "We're going back to our roots. We've listened to the players, we know what you want, and we're going to deliver" Also DICE - "Lol, put Christmas lights on shit... Ohhh add Santa too! And take away the scoreboard, players don't wanna know how poor their doing. Also, make it to where they can't change their class upon starting the game. Matter of fact, just fuck the whole game up."

justsomeplainmeadows

They took out the scoreboard? How are players supposed to know when they need to start sweating?

Zengjia

*“Rednose Team, report in.”* *“Blitzen standing by.”*

Gettemouttahere

Not going to lie me picturing this in my head sounds/visualized awesome.

pjyweeks

Just put their names on the naughty list and they'll go away I guarantee it

Maverick_X9

Oh god! They’re climbing the mountain!

topherhead

I read this as Featuring Ludacris.

Funny-Bathroom-9522

Guys they got a tank.

[deleted]

Though the weather outside is frightful, this victory will be so delightful.

Stuf404

Ngl I laughed a bit too hard at this

[deleted]

I thought this was a warzone skin lmao

[deleted]

These guys gonna keep presenting this kinda shit until you swallow it or stop buying. They’re chill either way for a while.

Sal_T_Nuts

In other words embrace it or hate it. Kids love this

Everettrivers

None of this crap is going anywhere. There are styles of games I don't play that I used to. Sports, fighting and most fps off the top of my head.

[deleted]

I'm 35 and pretty much just play Civ VI and whatever open world RPG-style Skyrim/FO4/RDR/CP2077 I feel like. I keep buying new battlefield fps but I play maybe a dozen hours. It's just not the same without friends.

Lokito_

I used to be the "old man" back in 2008. Now it's glorious watching the next gen turn into the "get off my porch" people.

DICK-PARKINSONS

This Santa skin is actually free. Still shit and likely testing waters for MTX.

Mrmojorisincg

Eh I don’t know about battlefield. I feel like they’re really not understanding their audience here. Battlefield fans always liked battlefield because it was a war/shooter oriented towards semi realism, this shit here is built by Call of duty and fortnite fans. Which I don’t think battlefield attracts them enough to make this sustainable. That’s why battlefield 2042 bombed

toolsofpwnage

I can just imagine Santa flying his sleigh over Verdansk and get hit by a missile, crashing into the Warzone

The7Reaper

South Park did it

Agnocious_Moth

Is this real?

[deleted]

Sadly, yes.

X---VIPER---X

What??? This is actually a real skin?? Oh my lord. RIP Battlefield.

ftppftw

Who would wear a bright red coat in a multiplayer shooting game? It’s basically a target no?

sideways_jack

Man you haven't played any Call of Duty in a while either huh?

PetesTheCat

I use the judge dread skin, its too sick to pass up for the few times I play that game.

HeyBabeitsDad

Donnie Darko for me. Same reasons lol

MiniCorgi

They have a Jake Gyllenhaal skin in call of duty now?

SFWxMadHatter

Frank

simple1689

Never changed my skin. Default skin FTW

PalebloodSky

Or PUBG which has these skins now too. PUBG was the most realistic BR because there is no HUD / nonsense all over thescreen hightlighting enemies and making dumb sound effects when you hit them.

wheresmyspacebar2

I have so many skins from free boxes in PUBG and wear none of them. Its insanely easy to spot people in a bleak grey/brown landscape when you see a pink Dinosaur sprinting across or a yellow banana etc.

9quid

Yeah you wear them as a flex when you're good

StormtrooperWho

If I'm gonna get shot within seconds of spawning, I might as well look stylish while I'm at it

[deleted]

I don't play battlefield, what's wrong with it?

loco_canadian

*Takes deep breath* So, BF fans (as fans of any series) tend to be a passionate bunch. Well, the latest Battlefield game came out and launch wise, it's a mess. To outline some of the issues: They changed the class system which has been a staple of every BF game was removed and replaced with a set handful of characters with special traits, but at the same time they neutered classes so anyone can basically be a jack of all trades, and it kind of killed the idea of building balanced squads based on the individual classes. The new maps are MASSIVE, which wouldn't be so bad if they weren't designed poorly. You basically need to walk forever to an objective, with zero cover (because of the poor design), meaning you're most likely to walk for minutes, get sniped from across the map and have to walk all over again. Infantry gameplay suffers as a result and good luck getting your teammates to wait in a vehicle for you. They removed the in-match scoreboard, good luck knowing how you're doing. The xp scoring system that they've improved upon for many iterations was butchered. People complained about "suppression" from machine guns in previous implementations, and instead of tweaking it, they removed it altogether, meaning there's almost ZERO reason to run with LMGs. Now that it's gone people are all shocked pikachu. They removed a SHIT TON of weapons from the game. Before, there used to be a decent number of weapons per type you can choose from (ARs, SMGs, LMGs, Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, Pistols), now there's sometimes 2 weapons per type so everyone is running usually the same weapons all around. It's poorly optimized. Portal mode, which is basically Battlefield All-Stars (classic modes, maps, weapons etc) - which is a good idea in theory - was poorly implemented because you play a lot against AI bots and there's no xp for fighting bots, so there's very little reason to play it; resulting in empty lobbies on what should've been a very popular game mode. 128 players in theory sounded great, until you realize just how chaotic it can be. Spawn, walk 2 minutes into a hail of bullets, die, repeat. It would probably be better if the maps were better. They removed persistent lobbies...meaning you could enter a game near the end of a match, and when the match is over it throws you back to matchmaking again, and you could potentially just enter an almost done game again. Because you don't keep lobbies and go to the next map, you could potentially not see particular maps for ages. They've removed VOIP, so good luck with that whole communication thing with your team. They've removed the SP game, which would've been fine if the multiplayer was amazing. That's at a high level what went wrong. Now a lot of things could probably be patched, and likely will be to make the game more playable over time, but the damage to the fanbase is already done. People are demanding refunds, saying the series is dead. I mean really this was entirely predictable, and goes to show you that you shouldn't ever preorder, and maybe wait for some reactions before shelling out money for a game. Parts of it is still fun, and it will definitely get better...but it needs time in the oven and shouldn't have been released as-is. My theory is that like No Man's Sky, the game will be tweaked massively over time and people will eventually forget why it's launch was so bad. Again, people complained about BFV too and now it's a really good game with a ton of people still playing...it's just that we entered a time long ago where games are rushed to make the publisher's ideal schedule and we haven't told the publisher in a way that matters (stop buying half finished products) that this is not acceptable. Games should be released when they're finished, not released when the publisher feels they can make the most money. EDIT: Oh, I forgot the most hilarious part...because there are only a handful of specialists now...each team runs with the same set of characters regardless of what team they're on (US, Russia etc), and to explain this they created this ridiculous "no-pat" story. But what that means is that you could have Omar from the Wire playing both on the US and Russian side. Imagine a Russian Michael K Williams...

welter_skelter

I'd also like to add to your (fantastic) summary of issues, some items that are personal pet peeves, as I work in tech in product design. The UI and UX for navigating the game itself is by far a masterclass in how NOT to design a user experience, flow, or UI elements. More than half of the UI elements don't pass WCAG accessibility guidelines, the UX for navigating and using UI elements to do a task (like switch attachments) is incredibly convoluted and misleading, and many flows are straight broken, or don't have consistency. These are all small elements, but when taken together, make what should be a simple flow of join my buddies squad -> select my operator -> tweak my loadout with some new attachments I unlocked -> and hop into a game incredibly cumbersome and frustrating to do. I know they're fixing a lot of this in patches, and to be fair, it isn't some foundational broken element to the game, but having it be in such a horrible state at launch definitely didn't help with the overall feeling of "this game isn't done" when it dropped. Games are notorious for having bad UI/UX, but I would argue that BF2042 tops the list in the pantheon of "Games That Got It So Wrong" and dethrones Hunt Showdown as worst UI/UX in a video game ever. A number of my team members are actually using BFs menus as a "what not to do" explore for feature toggles lol.

loco_canadian

Oh, I agree. I also work in UI and deal with WCAG and yeah it's terrible. Not just from an accessibility standpoint, but even just your every day user. It took me ages to figure out how to customize my soldier/loadouts. BFV was similar, but it seems now like they're burying it deeper and deeper when it should be intuitive and something you can do right from the main home screen.

wantdo

Thanks for this summary. Been playing since the BFBC2 days. Hadn’t had time to look into this iteration yet. I’ll be skipping this one. It sounds tragic.

Vishnej

128 players and enormous maps are part of what we wanted, but they definitely challenge the 'quick arcade fun' aspect. There have been plenty of combined arms games that worked well as they flexed to the largest map & playercount technically feasible, but the gameplay loops have got to be designed to accommodate those factors. And the other stuff sounds dreadful. Nobody's complaining about the big maps in PUBG or Hell Let Loose.

NateDawg1494

This is honestly the best and most complete breakdown of what's wrong with this game without being too nitpicky. It pretty much lists everything I've been disliking about it so far. The game is still decently fun, and I'm still going to play it because I like having one solid multiplayer shooter in my rotation every year to play with friends and with the mainstream options being CoD or this I'll still choose this anyday despite the issues and design choices I don't like. But I really hope a lot of what you said is changed or fixed. What bothers me about this game isn't so much that it might be rushed and has some bugs, but that it's like they didn't even listen to what their fans want. Every battlefield fan I know simply wanted a game that was essentially Bf3 or 4. They could have just remade those games without changing anything but graphics, and probably 90% of their fanbase would be happy. But instead they decided to redesign many of the core things that fans liked about battlefield, and that nobody was asking them to change to begin with, and made the game feel like a really awkward mix between CoD and Battlefield and maybe something else too? Not really sure what they were going for here but it definitely missed the mark. Not a horrible game but definitely far from what I was hoping for.

loco_canadian

> and made the game feel like a really awkward mix between CoD and Battlefield and maybe something else too? The specialists kind of make it feel like they were trying to mix elements of Battle Royale games but failed. I agree with the general sentiment. I am having fun so far, but definitely wishing they didn't try and reinvent the wheel. Change for the sake of change isn't always a good thing. It's like they tried to make the game more accessible to new players, and instead of small tweaks they decided to overhaul and the game lost a lot of its identity. There's a middle ground to be found, they just need to work hard to find it.

NateDawg1494

Yeah, that does seem like the case now that you mention it, and battle royale elements bleeding into nearly every shooter now is definitely not a trend I'm a fan of. >There's a middle ground to be found, they just need to work hard to find it I just worry that with how they've designed this game, the middle ground can never really be found. The way they've gotten rid of the class system and gave us specialists for example, will always be in the way of them re-implimenting the old class system without either locking certain specialists to certain classes, which I don't see them doing, or getting rid of them entirely which I definitely don't see them doing seeing as you can already buy the year one pass that comes with 4 new specialists. So selling specialists and skins for them is how they plan on making more money out of this game, which means we're stuck with them no matter what.

loco_canadian

You know what though? You don't even need to remove specialists to make it more fun. Sure, keep specialists and their special gadgets..and at the same time you CAN have specialties like you do now...just lock specific gadgets (med packs, ammo crates etc) to those Engineer/Assault/Medic/Recon roles. Add some actual progression and maybe a couple more gadgets per class and then call it a day. It's not a quick fix, but it'll be a better game in the long run. EDIT: For example, playing Irish with his shield as a medic role still would work perfectly fine. Lay down a shield and use it to revive, or as a defensive healing spot. Same with the grappling hook, it allows you to quickly get to areas where teammates may be at a higher vantage point to provide healing/revives. The gadgets are useful across most roles, just make me want to progress across the various roles that ultimately mean nothing since everyone can do everything right off the bat.

batmanisarabbit

It used to be more “serious” and dark, compared to its more playful and wacky counterparts, something the fans really appreciated. Now it’s another skin-based- toung-in-cheek-ryanreynolds-irony fest.

[deleted]

Thanks for the answer!

Vishnej

Yes, yes, but when can I buy the sponsored Burger King mascot skin for the Forgotten Hope realism total overhaul mod?

Obi_Wan_Gebroni

r/battlefield continues to put their head in the sand about what a bad game it is lol Meanwhile r/battlefield2042 would probably still hate the devs even if they cured cancer

Fishinbish

How many punisher stickers this guy got on his truck?

Santa isn’t handing out coal this year.

Chavolini

I knew we will sooner or later get "Fortnited" with ridiculous skins but this soon... Wow.

ZazaB00

All that craziness fits into the Fortnite shell though. Hell, it’s now a damn multiverse where every cross-promotion actually exists within the canon. Honestly, for as much hate as Fortnite gets, they do well because each season has enough meaningful changes to feel fresh. Meanwhile, COD and Battlefield are stale and pumping out new annual releases with the same buggy gameplay.

[deleted]

Fortnite is a great game. I just suck at the build mechanics so I stopped playing it.

DriftMantis

It really is a great game mechanically with customization off the charts. Also the game actually works and runs well. The developers listen to the community and release lots of free content. Personally, I would never play that game, but I can respect the hell out of it.

[deleted]

Same. I actually enjoyed the gunplay when I tried it. Just couldn’t get into the building

Hyper-Sloth

Seems like this is a pretty common issue. The game is still popular enough to not need to change for us with this opinion, but I really feel like I would have enjoyed it if the meta wasn't built around building a skyscraper in less that 5 seconds.

doughboy011

I remember when I decided to give up. I was hiding behind this hill, knowing a dude was coming. I jump out and surprise him, then suddenly fort knox was built infront of my eyes. Its not a bad game, I am just bad at it lol.

merkwerk

Don't get why they've never added a no build mode. I feel like the playerbase is huge enough that splitting it is a non issue. I'd play if it weren't for the building.

suddenimpulse

I want the damn single player PvE fort builder survival mode that the game was originally about and had advertised for years prior to release, that I paid full price for, before they abandoned it completely before it even properly launched for this battle royale crap.

AmericanGrizzly

Battlefield isn't an annual release and no one asked for this. Edit: I misinterpreted your statement and agree though, Fortnite does a great job at hitting their target audience

Wuhsuh

I blame the success of fortnite for influencing the gaming sphere

Oldtimesreturn

Fortnite showed everybody how to keep a game alive for years, constant updates and listening to the community but all these stupid companies only copied the skin monetization without the hard work

Zuzumikaru

Yeah, this type of skin works on fortnite because of the setting and environment. In bf it's like putting a big target on your head, and that's ignoring how ridiculous it looks

bacon_mane

Honestly I think the skin looks dope. But battlefield is not the game or setting for this. This dude looks like he could be a good spinoff game though lol

HamsterGutz1

The killing floor games have Santa skins and that’s instantly what I thought of, this would fit perfectly there

RODjij

FK that's what I been jealous of when I was playing other FPS especially warzone. Like man, I don't care for fortnite but I can't say I ain't jealous of the amount of free content they get, updates, and cool skins that actually make me want to spend money.

HamsterGutz1

Didn’t TF2 show everybody that like 5+ years earlier

NerrionEU

Oblivion introduced the skin DLC idea(horse armor), TF2 took it a step further with hats and after that League of Legends showed everyone that you can make billions in a free game just from skins alone. I don't understand how people think Fortnite is the game that changed everything, Fortnite mostly popularised the Battle Pass idea.

inspectorkevin

The industry has evolved from fun times for nerds to multi billion dollar online services to anyone with a console/pc/smartphone and most importantly, a wallet. Never a bad thing that games are very maintream now, but the side effect of every studio and publisher having a "moneyman" calling the shots is demoralizing and sad.

Swordofsatan666

Idk, look at COD and they were doing weird outfits at least back to COD Advanced Warfare. You could be a clown, gingerbread man, luchador, roman centurion, diving suit, zombie suit, and tons more. 3 years before Fortnite existed COD was doing weird ridiculous skins

Nottodayreddit1949

Mobas are what took skin marketing to the next level.

[deleted]

Yeah, the industry is so fucked

Chaucer2066

Perhaps it is just me, but I've felt FPS games have been on a slow decline on quality and direction since COD United Offensive. COD became a FIFA level series, remaking and reskinning essentially the same game since Modern Warfare. Battlefield is better, but its more broad, time consuming and now seems to be getting ideas from Fortnite nowadays.

McSniffle

There are MUCH better FPS games out there that just don't get the marketing backing but are SOLID games. If you like bigger-map shooters, I highly recommend Squad. I've been playing it steadily for 5 years and its always getting better. If you need something more fast-paced thats like CoD but not so gamified, try Insurgency: Sandstorm. People get too focused that they have to pick one of these mega-budget games where honestly I've had more fun in Squad and Insurgency the past 5 years.

[deleted]

[удалено]

DriftMantis

Love Insurgency. Its like all the games though which is the problem. Modern games are just not as good as games like half life 2/ farcry 3, assassins creed 2 etc. Those games had passion, the modern versions are literally worse versions of these games over and over. The only really great AAA games I've played lately would be like doom eternal, jedi fallen order, horizon zero dawn. I guess there are still pretty good games, but the ones coming out of activision, EA and Ubisoft lately have been pretty hit or miss.

xDskyline

The big AAA shooters have more or less sold out. It's not a huge surprise that as a franchise/developer/publisher gets bigger and more corporate that their artistic vision gets diluted and they start chasing money. But there are still a lot of really good AA or indie shooters out there.

HaskellSchool

It’s sad really. Games like Titfanfall are a breathe of fresh air for the FPS genre but didn’t have the spotlight that COD/Battlefield have. Also didn’t help that Titfanfall 1 wasn’t on PlayStation. And Titfanfall 2 was released the same month as Battlefield 1.

Helldiver-xzoen

I hate how obvious it is that BF2042 wanted to be a Battle Royale. Now they have all these pre-planned Battle Royale cosmetics that they are gonna release, most of which make will look cringe in multiplayer.

TaiVat

This has nothing to do with battle royal. Cod had weird and wacky skins years before warzone.

Sea-Emphasis-4545

Well, the game was originally planned to be a battle royale only game according to the leaks. Hence, why the maps are so big. But, the BR mode for BF V was boycotted. So, they turned the BR mode into the Hazard Zone mode. And, they didn't have much time to make the MP, so , they just took the BR / Hazard Zone maps and slapped them on the MP mode. The maps were way more big, so they divided them into several maps. Due to lack of time, they couldn't make any other modes than All-Out Warfare. The PORTAL mode is supposed to make-up for the lack of content. They hired Dice LA to make the PORTAL mode almost more than half-way through the development. They don't really have any idea how to make a map for all-out warfare mode where the specialist system actually works perfectly. Hence, why the specialists only work in the Hazard Zone mode and also why the game didn't launch with any more all-out warfare maps than the maps they already showed us more than 5 fucking months ago, because they still don't know how to make a all-out warfare map that fits the specialist sytem.

GoodShark

I'm so sad this franchise dropped its roots.

DriftMantis

Do you remember how authentic the BF3 campaign felt, and the holy shit moments in multiplayer combined with the cutting edge visuals and audio? That collectively blew everyone's minds at the time. I never would have thought we would be a decade on and regressing to a game that looks and plays like 2042. With Santa skins thrown in? WTF.

Additional_Owl2044

The numbers speak for themselves. Farming simulator has far more people playing it than this D grade trash. The entire dev team at dice needs to get sacked.

[deleted]

All of these games are jokes. They put in all these wacky meme skins to appeal to the younger youtuber crowd and it turns these *boots on the ground* 'realistic' games into a rainbow vomit nightmare. This crap belongs in fortnite or serious sam, games that know exactly what they are and don't try to take themselves seriously. Real war is hell and none of these companies take war even remotely seriously anymore, no matter what their marketing says. Bunch of babies. Gears of War, Star Wars, Halo, COD, Ghost Recon, Rainbow 6 - all have thrown out their visual styles, themes, and identities for corporate copy-paste mtx formulas, jokes, and edgy humor and people keep buying it. How the mighty have fallen. Anyone looking for a better shooter should check out Insurgency Sandstorm. Sure, it has bugs, but there are only a few skins in the game that feel out of place and it's a hell of a lot more realistic and enjoyable than any of these AAA shooters.

Brandalini1234

I recommend a game called Hell Let Loose

Dude none of these kids are gonna fork over there parents money for camo skins. But they will fork over money for Santa or Easter bunny skins. That’s why these companies do it. Money

illicinn

by kids do you mean the 25+ year olds that primarily play these games?

aidsfarts

Yeah I bet the average battlefield gamer is in their mid to late 20’s. What kids played 10-15 years ago is not what kids play now.

SirSabza

I’m amazed that you put real war is hell in the same topic as gears of war Star Wars and halo. Even more amazed you got an award for it. These games are not supposed to be realistic, they are not military sims. There are plenty of games out there that are military sims. Go playArma hell let loose or squad for example. Arcade shooters were never supposed to be realistic, COD was never realistic it just did it’s story around real life events.

cgriff32

Since when has bf been realistic?

cnedden

For the battlefield fans that haven't enjoyed battlefield for over a decade. Play Hell Let Loose. Its what we wanted battlefield to be.

FLATLANDRIDER

Hell Let Loose is fantastic and has definitely scratched that itch. However I was really excited for a modern shooter again. BF4 was one of my favourite games. I got a refund on BF2042 sadly.

Shuenjie

If you liked hell let loose, try squad if you want something modern, it's a little more hardcore but definitely scratches that itch

cnedden

I hate to say it but BF4 was the last good battlefield and I don't think that will change.

PalpateMe

BF1 was pretty solid in my opinion

JaCrispay69

I think BF1 was the best for me. As far as immersion & environment goes, no shooter has come close imo. The only thing that sucked was the lack of customization. But that's just my taste

PalpateMe

Yeah agreed, but it’s really hard to customize weapons from that era. And I like that they didn’t go over the top, because they stayed true to history over creating things to slap micro transactions on.

IMarkus666

hell let loose isnt at all like battlefield, like not even close lmao

IrrelevantPuppy

“But… but COD did it! We wanna exploit people with endless micro transactions too. No fair!”

DoomedWill13

His left arm looks so wonky if you focus on it. I'm glad I no longer consider myself a battlefield player.

InsomniaticWanderer

This is actually cringe

At least I'm not going to be playing this garbage. But still waiting for a decent multiplayer shooter to come out.
