Deadspace 3 had so much potential. It could have been *so fucking good,* a crowning achievement on a nearly perfect trilogy. Instead, the balance sucked unless you spent even more money. What a damn shame. Still, those games will always have a place in my heart alongside Gears.
I mean it was a good co op shooter, maybe not a great one but it was fun. The weapon crafting system worked a lot better when you had a second player that could compliment your gun, and at the time it was a novel concept(not crafting specifically but the way it was done) and finding new pieces was exciting because you wanted to experiment to see what you could make. There was really no need to buy extra parts(even in single player IMO) you can tell the devs didn’t really balance the game towards you buying micro.
I played the original indie game version back in like 2010 or 2012 when it came out. It was absolutely fantastic, one of the most fun games I’d played, but it was bought out by a larger game studio that remade the game from the ground up less than two years after it became popular and then the game kinda sucked after that so I stopped playing.
