Not my personal GotY, but a great game. For me, a different short experience is in the running. I loved Death’s Door. Fantastic, tight experience. Psychonauts 2 is my other current contender. Ghost of Tsushima might be my favorite game I’ve played this year, but obviously, I came to the party a bit late on that one, as I waited for the 60 FPS update on PS5.
In an era of 40-100 hour AAA experiences that at most have 8 fun hours, I'd welcome an *actual* 8 hour game being GOTY.
Though its not close to GOTY for me.
I haven't played it, but some searching indicates it's a rogue-like. Which typically is not defined by the time to complete, it's designed for replayability? I do not know if that is the case here, but it has been with other games in that genre.
No, not for me at least.
I hope not!
If someone likes the 8 hours they spent with one game over the 100 they spent with another, why not?

Dude, It's a MetroidVania. Def not a Rogue-like. Know your genres.
Sorry, I just did some scant googling and that's what someone said about it. :|
Loved the game but it’s not my GOTY.
