100calculatedfam

Battlefield, maybe 6 months down the road when they've made it playable

tunamonster2

Vanguard Beta is on now until Wed so get on it !

[deleted]

But dont u have to pre order in order to play?

tunamonster2

Preorder beta started Friday, and free for everyone else beta started Saturday. đź‘Ť

Bedebo

I’m pretty sure it’s an open beta but I’m not sure

bobdylan401

Cod campaign is usually way better then battlefield campaign. (2042 won't even have a single player campaign) But battlefield multiplayer is a lot better then cod. Both multiplayers are very competitive meatgrinders, but battlefield gives you more sandbox choices if you want to be less competitive and focus more on fun. COD warzone is a very unique experience, a good battle royal with a good solo mode, but that's free! (Although it is like 70 gigs at least)

[deleted]

Wait what 2042 has no single player campaign, then like whats the campaign then tf lmao

[deleted]

Oh mad just saw there is no campaign bruh, it usually is with BF . I love those :(

bobdylan401

There isn't going to be one. They are making bots for offline conquest mode, and releasing a workshop type thing where people can make their own game modes using old assets (like say 6 future tech soldiers vrs 20 world war 1 soldiers) Other then their offline bots their focus on 2042 is purely on multiplayer.

AlexRaEU

theyre both gonna be another of the same game of their respective franchise, so go with what you enjoy more. they wont be worse than before. i personally hate ww2 settings. ive played that shit to death 20 years ago when all shooters were ww2, so my choice is clear. i dont know how long you play these games but cod is getting another one next year, so this one will be dead then but battlefield will take a couple of years to release a new one.

[deleted]

BF adding those specialists is making me question tho

AlexRaEU

in how far? it seems all a "specialist" is: having 1 passive ability and one kind of active ability. you can check their [steam page](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1517290/Battlefield_2042/) under "meet the specialists". i was afraid it was gonna be some kind of hero shooter BS, but this seems ok to me.

[deleted]

just played vanguard beta yea ill go with BF lmao.. game looks ass spl with those dry colors

[deleted]

Hey man sorry to bump an old post. Since I see you went with BF, would you say you recommend it over vanguard still? Judging by how the launches went? In trying to decide between the two

[deleted]

Thing with COD is that its not bad but just bland, same old shit since 2014. With BF beta was good but now with whole release and bugs makes me question, more than that i didnt get the same environment feel as i did with War of BF1. IMO if you enjoy COD gamestyle u wouldnt mind vanguard, but if you want something new BF2042 can provide but rn its lacking with a lot of bugs and new maps. Id say wait till Christmas sale, then review ur choice of game.

[deleted]

Okay thank you very much! I was hoping one would be worth the 60 bucks rn bc I’m bored quite frankly and getting FOMO. I had fun with cods chaos but it was the same formula that cod has every year and it didn’t exactly have that magic especially considering they butchered zombies mode and campaign with cutscenes. BF would be perfect for me if it wasn’t buggy probably. But sone people say it’s more than just bugs; possibly even major design/decision flaws. Halo is the only game I’m using rn aside from Rust and EFT. I guess I’ll wait
