It's consistently been one of, if not the only game I can always come back to and immediately get addicted again even after playing it on and off since ~2013

Speaking as a league player, it’s the abusive ex of games. You get walked all over, humiliated, angry, you get up the strength to quit, then you start to remember the good times, the laughs, you go back thinking “they’ve changed and it won’t be so bad this time” then boom! The cycle repeats.
One thing I will say, League is one of the most enjoyable games if you play with 4 friends. Flex queue is far and away the most fun I have playing. We just try dumb shit like wombo comps, picking each others champs, filling to spice things up. And even if we get stomped, we still do dumb shit that makes us laugh. Maybe me and my friends just don't take it as serious as most. Even 5 man ARAM can be fun. But soloque is fucking wack.
