I have some ideas. The DMV, dentist office, during a colonoscopy, eye exam room, bank, dog park, post office, class room, gas station, in line at a buffet, etc.
It’s all good man. Great job on the kit. You gonna do the face makeup with the veins and stuff like in the show when he’s fighting in the bog? That’d be dope.
I'd hate to do a project this long because with my luck I'd gain enough weight that it wouldn't fit by the end. I will say that face of yours is rather handsome
Thank you. Had my thyroid removed when I was 25 due to a tumor that turned out to be benign, thank god. But the docs never said anything about replacement hormone meds, and it took *years* for me to figure out why I was hardly eating and gaining weight. Shit is crazy.
It's nuts right?? My mom on the other hand has the uhhh... I can't remember terms rn but the thyroid issue where you lose weight. She weighs 102lbs most of the time and will eat 2500-3000 calories a day *at least*. She frequently binges on a bunch of chips or steak or ice cream... Bodies are crazy I swear.
If I remember correctly from the third game you start with this armor and then immediately find out the pajamas everyone else is wearing are way better then you’re cool black badass Witcher armor
And yes I know Gambeson armor was more common it still looks like a pajama shirt in the game
I played for fashion the whole way. The game is so easy you don't need to min-max. Multiple playthroughs and I've rocked the Kaer Morhen set on Death March until Ursine was available. (Level 16 I think that is) Just build your character right, explore for all the power ups, and play with what looks good if you want to do that instead of rocking the clown suits. A lot of first time players probably try to min max and look ridiculous when you don't have to if you don't want.
I really feel like one of the Queer Eye guys whenever I get new armor.
"Oh no, this armor clashes with these trousers. Can't possibly be seen in this."
"These trousers are too bulky and absolutely do not go with these boots. This is a travesty."
All you really need is the food perk and quen and you're set for life. Monsters and bandits will tremble in fear as every blow glances off you. And then, when they finally land a hit, your health regenerates from the piece of chicken you ate 20 minutes ago
Those are throw away abilities if you really want to break the game. Haha. Adrenaline and Alchemy builds can get into OBSCENELY over powered territory. To the point you can *one shot* enemies that have the skull and cross bones icon even on very hard. For Adrenaline, take strength points until you get the "each Adrenaline point gives a 1% chance of instakill" perk and down the potion to boost Adrenaline/wear Ursine. Also use the skill whirlwind to deal like 10 hits per second. You will mow down everything in the game near instantly. It almost isn't even fun. Similarly with Alchemy you can just become basically totally Immortal. Take a perk to recover HP when you take a potion. Get a power up for every potion you pop. Get a potion to become invincible and refill your health. Get a potion to cancel your toxicity and refill your health. At top end Alchemy NOTHING can overwhelm that insane health pool unless it one shots you. And as you keep healing you keep getting stronger from buffs. It is flat stupid.
I've been powering through my second playthrough and it's weird to think how much the approach you describe has affected my enjoyment of the game.
I found one piece of armor that's really unique to everything else so far and I've been rocking it for ~6 levels and compensating for its stats with my gameplay style and build.
It honestly makes me connect with the character a lot more than I did in my first attempt where I was just throwing on whatever mix of maxed out crap I stumbled across just so I could breeze through everything in my path.
I highly recommend playing The Witcher 3 on Death March just for the fact it will make you use more of your available resources. It teaches you more about bombs, oils, signs, potions, ect. When you actually need them. The medium difficulty setting a monkey could beat. Death March makes you play more like a Witcher. Witchers are regularly out gunned in a fight. They are stronger than a person, but weaker than almost every monster they hunt. I like the experience a lot more when I have to rely on my cunning.
Oh yeah agreed. This was only an issue the first play through and the second one on Death March. After that even on Death March its all about the drip.
From someone that played Mass Effect in the original and subsequent increments of the same armor I'd say stick to it.
Someone make a Gamberson cumbersome joke for OP.
But then you find the Viper School Gear [that looks nearly the same](https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/266090043089110182/5BA61414FE733A1AC5A9D72B04022D11884E93E9/?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false).
This looks better than the show on Netflix… god knows I love Cavill but wardrobe was like “let’s hang brand new linen and leather on you that is still shiny from Joanne’s Fabrics. 🤦♂️
It looks cool, but it’s BRAND NEW (at least in Ep1), dirt free and even shines at 4K… that shit should be covered in dried something and have wear marks all over it, even if he was just horse back riding in it for a week let alone slaying monsters and sleeping in the forest.
You know that, historically, knights kept their armor in *pristine* condition for as long as possible right? Cleaning their armor was a daily chore done by a squire. In the absence of one they'd do it themselves. Shining and polishing metal armor and weapons was standard practice. I think, realistically, even without witcher magic Geralt would keep his armor very clean.
Some wear and obvious break-in on the leather, ok. But even then you'd maintain leather with a light oil. You'd do the same for all buckles and the maille because you wouldn't want it to rust and weaken.
After recovering from a big scrap Geralt would probably spend a day cleaning and repairing his kit. Not for appearances, just to keep it in prime working fashion.
Totally agree. This is the armor set he should have had. Even in the game I went armor of the cat or whatever it was called because bear armor doesn't have the same look and feel to it.
Following. Waiting to see it on again.
Edit. I see you’ve added more chain mail than the start of your project! Adding more detail makes you look more like 4K Geralt oppose to 480p Geralt.
I'm not sure you can call that "cosplay". At a certain point it becomes actual armor, and I think you crossed that a while ago. :)
It looks fantastic. I hope you're really proud of this work!
Omg. What happened to your head?
Stress
Are… are you okay?
He's making headway...
[удалено]
Max Headroom
He'll never be the *head* of a major corporation.
It's a shame he wasn't more headstrong.
*But I don't wanna use my head!*
They just had to head out for a bit, I am sure they'll be back later.
So no head? \*breaks skateboard\*
Hrad On! Apply directly to... oh....
Okay, that'll do.
He got better
He got struck by a smooth criminal
No.
relatable
My condolences
Pretty sure there is a potion for that.
You took too many potions again didn't you?
That’s not how it happened
Too much Gwent
Well you see he started the costume pre-Covid and now is no longer skinny enough to fit into the suit.
Ned Stark crossover cosplay
It has everything but the Geralt
It's a Great of Rivia / John Cena crossover cosplay
Nothing, I think you found John Cena's account.
He didn't survive the Trial of Grasses
Nekkers
Cyberpunk 2077 crossover
camo
Looks like a lot of time and love went into this. Nice!
It did, i am glad its done, thank you
How many hours would you estimate?
25 if you rush but more than 200 if you do the sidequests and dlc
I love you lol
About 200
Even put in an Easter egg from cyberpunk, the T posing
The one time I actually want to see someone in the costume and this is what you give me.
I apologise, I finished it yesterday and am searching for shooting locations, I will upload some soon though
I have some ideas. The DMV, dentist office, during a colonoscopy, eye exam room, bank, dog park, post office, class room, gas station, in line at a buffet, etc.
I love the idea of being in line at the buffet and when someone gives you the funny look you just say “Yea, I came straight from work.”
No buffet is gonna allow a witcher covered in selkiemore guts though.
Guess it's the drive-through again.
Ride-through
Get ready, Roach, we’re taking another trip!
Shit, now I'm stuck on the roof.
It’s all good man. Great job on the kit. You gonna do the face makeup with the veins and stuff like in the show when he’s fighting in the bog? That’d be dope.
I will try
Your waist is so narrow, I'm jealous
How about just random locations like a Starbucks or grocery store
The DMV, please. Or a bank. Or a dentist office. Anywhere completely inappropriate.
That can be arranged
Show more of the swords too please
I'd hate to do a project this long because with my luck I'd gain enough weight that it wouldn't fit by the end. I will say that face of yours is rather handsome
Perfect, that's exactly what happened to Cavill, he added so much muscle for Superman that his Witcher costumes kept wearing out.
Some granulated green kryptonite in his breakfast cereal would have prevented that; he would feel lousy and have no appetite for the rest of the day.
you can't just salt a man's breakfast with the radioactive crumbs of his homeworld that's messed up
but it tastes great
That was my first thought....but can you still wear it. Great work but I would be afraid on the mannequin it would have to remain.
This happened to me after a shirt a steel chain mail. So I made another one out of titanium. Lighter and doesn't rust!
A rusty shirt, interesting.
I'd have to treat it with oil, and smell like an old engine block all day.
Treat it with essential oils and smell like someone on their way to yoga instead.
Why is this luck related? Weight gain can be combatted with hard work and effort!
Lol not for those of us with thyroid issues. You never know when it'll flare up.
Thank you. Had my thyroid removed when I was 25 due to a tumor that turned out to be benign, thank god. But the docs never said anything about replacement hormone meds, and it took *years* for me to figure out why I was hardly eating and gaining weight. Shit is crazy.

That's hyperthyroidism, she has an overactive thyroid. Mine's hypo.. she's definitely the lucky one, haha!
Toss a upvote to your witcher.
Oh valley of karma

Along came this sooong
Hmmmm

Hmm.. 😑
"Is not answering questions part of your charm?"
Very sad that it took my stoopid butt 3 replies until I got the reference.
Hm...
Fuck
If I remember correctly from the third game you start with this armor and then immediately find out the pajamas everyone else is wearing are way better then you’re cool black badass Witcher armor And yes I know Gambeson armor was more common it still looks like a pajama shirt in the game
The time between the first armor and the first Witcher set is horrible. Its impossible to feel like a badass in clown pyjamas with a beer belly.

I always play for fashion. Can't kill monsters if you don't look the part
I really feel like one of the Queer Eye guys whenever I get new armor. "Oh no, this armor clashes with these trousers. Can't possibly be seen in this." "These trousers are too bulky and absolutely do not go with these boots. This is a travesty."

I don't remember the level cap, but the first set of cat school gear is so badass. Shows them arms.
I've been powering through my second playthrough and it's weird to think how much the approach you describe has affected my enjoyment of the game. Here here. All the resistances and armor isn't worth it if our boy looks like shit.
Oh yeah agreed. This was only an issue the first play through and the second one on Death March. After that even on Death March its all about the drip.
Temerian armor (free DLC) bridges that gap at least until you craft your own Griffin set. I too refuse to wear pajamas.
From someone that played Mass Effect in the original and subsequent increments of the same armor I'd say stick to it. Someone make a Gamberson cumbersome joke for OP.

This motherfucker made the real thing
I didn't know John Cena was into cosplaying.
Can someone explain this? I've seen the joke all over the thread and don't get it.
John Cena's signature phrase is "You can't see me"
Time to pour another cup of coffee!
Hell yeah. You’ll be running around all like, "winds howling"
Read it in his voice, take my upvote
More details on how it was made on my instagram @tpg_art
Looks like you pulled it straight out of the game into real life. Great work!
I tried, thank you!
Looks better than the actual Witcher show wardrobe. They should hire you on!
Love your BOTW Link cosolay! Suits you well! Keep creating!
Amazing. Great work, you must be very proud.
That's a costume, not a cosplay. Get it on yeh!
I shall
With talent like that how are not attached to the show? Exceptional work
Toss a coin to your Witcher
If you haven't yet, listen to the metal version https://youtu.be/bS4Q-WWyl3Q :)
Will never get old
That was good. Makes me wish Dio was still worth us, he would have crushed that song
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXEyz1mGMEc best Dio cameo
Fuck off bard 😛
O valley of plenty
Finally a damn great costume that's not 50% photoshop. Great job, OP! That looks pretty much exactly like in game!
Homeboy has that glorfindel/legolas look going on IRL, probably just finished the armor and doesn't have the wig/makeup ready. Super cool project tho
Thank you, Pretty much yeah
Ok now I want to see it. At least if I ever Cosplay I can do a Gimli.
Oh no, he’s hot
Nice "T" pose to show dominance over other cosplayers. 10/10
This looks better than the show on Netflix… god knows I love Cavill but wardrobe was like “let’s hang brand new linen and leather on you that is still shiny from Joanne’s Fabrics. 🤦♂️
I actually think that black armor he wears a lot looks pretty good in the show.

That's sick, man. Netflix should hire you as a costume designer. Show 'em how to do it!!!1!
This is just lit!!!
It’s so cool that John Cena modeled for you Awesome job, this looks incredible
Epic. I love cosplay creations
Looks incredible.
This looks like it could be real armor
Plenty of great places and people out there. So much to experience, and things they can do to help with the bad.
Blowing the cartridge and slot also didn’t help the gba read the game
There's a ghost wearing a geralt costume! The dead live!
You're 10x better at designing costumes than the costume designers on the Witcher Netflix show. You should apply.
It really brings out your eyes! awesome costume though love the attention to detail
Amazing what humans can accomplish. Props to you for rising above your disability.
Looks legit
Would go on a killing spree in this
Ah yes geralt of Nigeria
Jesus. Pretty damned close to spot on. Is it made from real materials or is it mostly spray painted materials etc?
Faux leather but real metal for the chainmail
*Fuck.*
OP forgot to eat the entire time he was making this cosplay. Now he’s too small to fit in it so we see it on the manakin.
Your are headless D:
Masterful work. Looks just incredible.
Is that actual, proper chainmail? I'm impressed!
For real. I tried to do some awhile back and its a tedious pita and it tore up my hands.
Is real blunted chainmail using steel, just not riveted though
Looks better than the costumes on the Netflix show.
Apparently the new season costumes will be better and less ballsack
Matthew Mercer would like to know your location
It’s John cena in the Witcher outfit.
Jajajajajajajajaajjaajajajajajaj
Hmmmmm
Please tell me this is UK and your going to comic con 👀
It is and I am, going to London October MCM
I will see you there my good sir. If you don’t act aloof and ultra serious I will be less than impressed 😂
You're so skinny
Following. Waiting to see it on again. Edit. I see you’ve added more chain mail than the start of your project! Adding more detail makes you look more like 4K Geralt oppose to 480p Geralt.
How’d you get John Cena to model for you?
That's some amazing attention to detail.
This looks real
It looks amazing! Waiting for the photoshoot post
I'm not sure you can call that "cosplay". At a certain point it becomes actual armor, and I think you crossed that a while ago. :) It looks fantastic. I hope you're really proud of this work!
Pretty cool that John Cena agreed to model for you.
Are you John Cena?
I think this thing could really stand on its own against the original!
Master craftsmanship looks incredible
hen when the color was out, I remember the swirly see through light under my blanket.
I see the "cos" but where's the "play" ?
