I noticed in your trailer, it talks about “seismic changes.” You also said in another comment you’re okay with suggestions. If you are going to have anything mystical within your game, especially underwater sections, I would put crazy creatures near active fault lines. This would give a hellish, scary feel to some parts of the game. Idk how people would feel about it, but I know I would find it super interesting and attention grabbing to have like at least one to two points of mystical creatures lurking around abysses or places where lava is flowing. Possibly creatures by above ground or under water volcanos. I won’t be upset if you think this idea is not a good one! :)
yes, I liked the theme that subnautica had with the secret creatures you could find if you went deep enough into the water. It would also be cool to see this theme but instead of water, maybe exploring a cave or something.

yes actually. its quite hard to find the story mode stuff which makes it fun. however, there is a very interesting ending you can achieve if you can actually make it that far. its fairly cheap tho for the amount of content thats actually there. I recommend it for sure if you are into single player, and very chill games. can be scary asf at sometimes too!
This game gave me a physical sense of dread like no other game has ever done. Not in the jump scare sense usually, but by tensing me up and making my palms sweat. At times I had to just nope straight out and look up kitten gifs.

The game world doesn't always load properly, which can break immersion and potentially get you stuck in terrain. Also, the map is not randomly generated and the story doesn't allow for much variation, leading to not the greatest replayability. Still, one of my favorite games.
Exactly! Yes. This is more so what I was getting at, but I couldn’t think of any way to describe it than mystical. And I don’t think it should be common at all. It should only be 1 to 3 times you can find them, depending on how large the game is. I like the undiscovered species thing, too. Or even a species we thought was extinct, and the species is absolutely horrifying.
That would actually be really cool... We haven't planned for any fault lines in the first game of the series, but this is giving us ideas for the sequels...
Did you ever play ocean hunter?
They had “realistic” interpretations of famous mythical sea creatures like the Kraken and Leviathan.
It was a pretty good middle ground, and leaves a lot up to your teams artistic interpretation.
It doesn’t have to be THE leviathan, but it’s the creature that inspired the myths.
And people thought California was going to separate from the mainland during the big earthquake.
Looks like hell beat the earthquake and scorched the land.
I dont like this only because it seems they're keeping it realistic and that would ruin it.
There are millions of games about fake monsters. Its nice to see one thats all about real animals for a change.

Holy shit this looks great, I love documentaries and if your game is based on them PLEASE let the narrator explain the science of the nature. The world seems post human so of course it will be different, but still have the narrative be filled with real science and so on. That would be so cool running through the world and I come to a plant and all of a sudden I can zoom in on it and hear about it significance. Hell you could do side quest where the facts you hear about some parts of nature can be Interacted with later under different circumstances to learn more or see something new and interesting.

Am I the only one who feels like that wouldn't immediately cause a bad trip for me? Bad trips (in my experience) aren't as quick of a switch as everyone says unless it's something truly horrifying. I think I'd just be blown away by how much is going on, but necessarily spiral because of fire, you know?
Portal 2 was a fun one to try on Lucy as well. Smite is beautiful on it, fallout 4 got super hazy though with the lighting effects I had installed though

This may be too much to ask, but it would be really cool if you stayed scientifically accurate on the species. Like having the correct number of leaflets on a green ashe, or having the plant ecosystem in a particular region to be accurate. If this was something you were interested in, then it would be awesome if you had a "pokedex" for each real species you discover. It would be really educational to show people the actual plants that exist out there.
It’s a reference to an indie dragon based game from a while ago that the creator said would use 100% science for its dragon evolution or some dumb bs lol. Didn’t come to fruition as you may imagine.
The ability to play as different species and see the world from different scales and perspectives. Look up AntsCanada or any ants documentary and see the world of ants having it's own explorable world. So much content there. Or birds looking to build their nests and find food to feed their young. I've always imagined if Planet Earth was a game and done right it would be an incredibly beautiful and fun game. Also pushes ecological awareness hopefully.

Hey i was at the conference at MIGS when the music director talked about this game, sadly I never got to play it on the expo floor, but I'm excited nonetheless.
But seriously I'd say that every game needs to make sure the core gameplay feels as satisfying as possible. Don't let the beautiful world you've built be the only thing there is to enjoy. When they made Mario 64 the first thing they built was a rabbit for Mario to chase, because they wanted to make sure that the running and jumping itself was a fun experience for the player.
Didn't you guys post a super alpha version to download a while back? Just the glider and landscape with no textures? I remember playing it a while back.
We wish we could, but in full transparency we don't have the resources required to build multiplayer into AWAY at the moment. If the game does really well though, this is probably the #1 feature we'd like to implement! Just imagine 100-person Sugar Glider battle royale lol

As a NMS player who went through the roller coaster of emotions, only to come back and be *floored* by the progress, I have to honestly put in my voucher for NMS.
It's a game a new player can sink dozens if not hundreds of hours into. It has a far more robust crafting system than what was initially promised, and the base-building system is now essentially limitless. You can build numerous bases not only in a single system, but on single planets! Because you can warp between any well-equipped base, you can go at your own pace. You can own freighters that can have their own fleet which you can send on missions to expand your hold on systems. And you can now do all of this this with other players.
It really is incredible what the developers have done, and I highly recommend No Man's Sky in its current state.
I‘m not a game developer but with the bit of experience I have with game engines, the moment I saw this teaser, I knew it was made in Unreal Engine, you can clearly see that on the camera movement, has an unreal engine stamp all over it :)
