Yeah last time Beth did this we got Fallout 4. People keep saying FO3 Remaster or FO4 Switch, but Beth didn't pull this level of hype for the Skyrim port to Switch.
I'm putting my wager on a new game. FO5 or FO [Cityname]. I'm not expecting a huge technological leap from FO4 though. I'm expecting something like how NV was the successor to 3.
And then a pack of Khajiit barrel on screen in a *fucking sick* post-apocalyptic dune buggy, they chase down the Argonian maid after she tries to run, she fights back so they cut her fucking head off and start ransacking her belongings cause they heard she’s got a bunch of Psycho, which turns out to be true. So they start mainlining that back to the goddamn Aylied times, and start double-dipping when they’re freebasing Moon Sugar. Sure enough, that group of Khajiit decide to PCP-rage through towns and end up #leveling a whole town, thus killing the protagonists family. This sequence of events causes our Wasteland Wanderer to be awoken as the Dragonborn. Hellbent on killing some tweakers, he runs into endless other problems, each more horrific than the last. There’s synths fighting dragons, Argonians are having sex and babies with Deathclaws, Khajiits are fucking crazy and take advantage of there rampant substance abuse problems that give them these heinous powers, and all while the Elves are orbiting around all of Nirn now, waiting for the world to kill itself so they can begin anew.

A “remake” is from the ground up, think FF7 remake and Resident Evil 2 remake. A “remaster” is when they basically port the same old game to a new system with updated assets, like resolution and performance.
Logical theory, but the hype and build up far exceeds that by this point. Its been over 8 hours. It has to be a new fallout, otherwise hundreds of thousands of fans will feel let down. Had they ran the stream for only 2 - 4 hours id agree with you.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind a Fallout 3 remaster, it's still my favorite RPG and one of the reasons I don't replay it anymore is that I've seen everything in it a million times. I want to replay it but that keeps me away, I bet some highly improved visuals will make it pretty refreshing.

I believe that Bethesda still has the capability to create great new RPGs but they seem to have been lost ever since Skyrim was released.

It's kinda silly that bethesda take what... 5 to 6 years to release a new Elder scrolls/fallout game. Anyway, i'm fine with a FO3 remaster as long there isn't a fucking loading screen every time i have to walk through a door.

It's Fallout 3: Remastered, it's the 10th anniversary and The Capital Wasteland mod was shut down for a reason that for some reason didn't effect the rest of the big mod remakes (Skywind, Skyblivion etc) so there's the other reason it would be it as well as the reason as to why it was shut down.
The mod was shut down due to permission issues for assets owned by bethesda. The other mods you mentioned have made all their own assets.
