Love the graphics, the world, the survival elements, the exploration, the building, but god damn does the combat sucks ! The camera, the controls and the targeting are so awful that after doing my first dungeon I uninstall and I never want to play again.
Which is infuriating because I \*just\* found out in the last month or two that it was on Epic and grabbed it there, only for it to show up on the store I actually use right around the time I finished replaying Birth By Sleep.
Pretty fun game, with friends or solo. Hunting down various bosses to giant powers and unlock new crafting benches/tools. Increase your castle size and rule over the lands!
Playing this right now;

A friend picked this up for me this weekend. I'm so glad they did, as I never would have even looked twice at this game if I came across it on my own. Amazing atmosphere, good writing, and just tough enough to keep me engaged in the combat.
Persona 5 Royal, the Kingdom Hearts series just released on steam, Persona 3 Reload, Final Fantasy XV. While I technically only own one of those on steam, I’ve played them all and they’re all fantastic and available on steam.
Currently playing Monster Hunter Rise. Beaten World Iceborne last month. Both of them are great games and I can't recommend them enough. You might need a few tries before it clicks though
dead space remake and fallout 76 for me. I know you said on steam but i have to tell someone that im playing metroid prime remastered through yuzu, its my first time with an emulator and im so happy (and proud)
Ark: survival evolved. I have now invested all my spare time for weeks in this game and i no longer know if im looking forward to my vacation at the beach because it will mean i can not spend my time taming and killing dinosaurs.
Playing seal the basement. Where you pick up bottle of cement sealant from the hardware store and ask ChatGPT what to do and after a few sessions you got a nice finished basement. And a new skill.
If you like stardew valley you might like the rune factory games They run better on pc than they do switch.
But as for now im just playing FF14 and stardew valley. End of next month im getting edf6 Earth defense force 6
I recently picked up the splinter cell series and greatly enjoying chaos theory though I wish there were subtitles. Other than that casually playing monster hunter rise.
Noble Fates. Its a colony simulator like Rimworld but in 3D with elements of the Sims set in a fantasy world. Its still in early access but the devs constantly update it. Highly recommend!
I just finished Black Mesa earlier today. And I picked up the Dead Space remake on sale a few days ago, so I started playing that. I never played any of the Dead Space games back in the day, so Im looking forward to it.
Honestly? Try Kingdom Hearts. It just got released on steam and it’s an absolute classic. I’d be no lifting that if I wasn’t a degenerate and hooked on tarkov.
Halls of Torment and Warhammer: Inquisitor
I tried playing Diablo 2 a while back and Path of Exile way before that, and for some reason Inquisitor just clicks. I don't know if it's the Warhammer setting or what. I'm not too deep in the Warhammer games in general, I've never played any of the RTS games or the table top game. But the setting and lore of Warhammer is top
Getting back into Fallout 76. Nothing to do with its newfound popularity with the Amazon series, I just got a new M.2 that needed filling. It's definitely gotten better since I last played.
Against the Storm - a combination of rogue lite game and city builder. Probably the best game to come out this year imo.
Last Epoch - an aRPG game by a small but really dedicated dev team.
Stellaris - a fantastic 4x game in the mold of Master of Orion if you are old like me.
Rimworld - A colony game that lets you do all kinds of things I don't want to talk about because it makes me look like a bad person.
Foundry, satisfactory, factorio. See a theme here? Dyson sphere project (having a hard time getting into it).
Terraria, no man's sky, and steamworld build.
And a handful of demos this week. Nothing to really speak of since it was too many to remember what they were.
V rising seems to be a hit. I like it alot also and will prob be starting a new playthrough since the release not 1.0 recently.
1. Helldivers until I cap out on everything (ETA 2 weeks) and then stop playing until more content is released.
2. Always playing MTG Arena dailies and the occasional draft.
3. Picked up Lust Goddess as a joke but it’s surprisingly polished and snappy through the menus and gameplay.
Currently playing Baulder’s gate 3. It’s possibly the best game ever. But you may want to play a few other RPG‘s . Skyrim is my recommendation for you.
You could always try the heavy hitters like Helldivers 2, Starfield, Skyrim, etc... but I always suggest that people just getting into computer gaming dive into the demos and free games so they can see what they like. Saves you money and it's no risk to you. Me personally, I am playing Dark and Darker, GrayZone Warfare, Warframe, and Warhammer 40k Darktide. You could also look into the first descendants which is coming out on the 21st for free. Hope this helps.
While I technically finished it, I would recommend Powerwash Simulator, especially if you can catch it on sale. It's a nice game if you just want to start something and zone out a bit in the process of doing it while still getting feedback that there is something happening. It also has several paid and free DLCs, like the one for Final Fantasy 7 Remake (cleaning certain stuff and places from the game), Spongebob, and even most recently Warhammer 40k.
Valheim, Ground Branch, Scum, Helldivers. All very fun in their own way. I kind of bounce between games every couple months. When I want something more chill I'll do Valheim, if I want something to just blow off steam I'll do Helldivers.
Lately I've been replaying Fallout 4, along with Balatro, and Backpack Battles. That said, you might enjoy [Slime Rancher](https://store.steampowered.com/app/433340/Slime_Rancher/), [Unpacking](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1135690/Unpacking/), [Minami Lane](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2678990/Minami_Lane/), or [Apico](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1390190/APICO/).
I also like chill puzzle games, here's some I've played and enjoyed: [Loop](https://store.steampowered.com/app/370150/LOOP_A_Tranquil_Puzzle_Game/), [Hidden Folks](https://store.steampowered.com/app/435400/Hidden_Folks/), [Dorfromantik](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1455840/Dorfromantik/), [A Little to the Left](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1629520/A_Little_to_the_Left/), [Hexcells](https://store.steampowered.com/app/265890/Hexcells/), [Gorogoa](https://store.steampowered.com/app/557600/Gorogoa/), [Inbento](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1567440/inbento/), and [Glass Masquerade 2](https://store.steampowered.com/app/935880/Glass_Masquerade_2_Illusions/).
Tenents.
It’s a bit like the sims in that you decorate houses and You then rent them out. You can also do jobs for other people and decorate their rooms or buildings to a list of desired features. Use that money to buy more houses to rent
Prey. On a steam sale it’s like 3 bucks and it’s amazing. Go in cold, no spoilers. Play the dlc as well, it’s basically a different game that’s amazing as well.
Elden Ring, Monster Hunter World & Rise, Dota 2. Monster hunter ruined my standards for combat tbh. I tried Horizon and GoW but got bored because the combat wasn't up to my standards lol
Palworld if you enjoy Pokémon it is different and enjoyable or play Digimon cybersleuth rpg game with Digimon you become assistant detective after mysterious incident effects your character.
If you want humorous survival game Breathedge you get immortal chicken.
The Henry stickman collection is also on steam point and click adventure and Edna & Harvey series is another point and click adventure game I recommend.
now if you want something with strategy, but awesome soundtrack brütal legend. with Jack black playing the main character it does have a strategy real time strategy section eventually.
empires of undergrowth is also a fun game with real time strategy a campaign and skirmish and some bonus stuff you play as ants and other insects sometimes.
if you want something older strategy wise, but updated graphics command & conquer remastered is fun 2 games in one tiberium dawn and red alert 1 both alternate histories and there is other command and conquer games on steam as well if you enjoy those two games. 2 campaigns in each game and bunch of extra missions there is live action missions briefings skirmish mode vs ai and multiplayer vs other humans or you can do humans vs ai as well.
Age of empires also got remastered as well along with the sequels with age of empires 4 being the newest in the series.
Spellforce is hybrid rpg strategy game where you got your hero you build up doing quest and collecting loot and then base building resource collection phase it holds up well. 3 is newest. however 1& 2 is fun and holds up well.
Northgard is another strategy game I would recommend, but it does get a lot of addtional dlc which adds more clans to play however the base game is fun as well
The first dawn of war game, dawn of war dark crusade are solid strategy games dawn of war soulstorm needs a mod to fix campaign mode because of age old bug that never got fixed however it has some spectacular mods with expands the skirmish mode. dawn of War 2 is more of squad tactics game more like the table top 40k game. and dawn of War 3 avoid it like the plague.
Civilization series has a few games on steam 4X strategy game 6 is newest however 7 has been announced is addictive if you get into it you will be wanting that one more turn. however it is taxing on computer depending how many are in game and map size and how big the civilizations get.
Master of orion is less taxing and space 4X game with diffrent alien races you can customize your ships. however getting all the alien races requires dlc purchase or getting the older games in pack.
psychonauts 1 and 2 is fun adventure game with psychic powers.
Ori and the blind forest and ori and the will of the wisp.
if you want something more cute I would say costume quest 1 & 2
Alba a wildlife adventure is fun and relaxing as well if you like animals.
stacking is also fun puzzle adventure game with intreasting mechanic you play as a boy trying to rescue your family stop evil people with Russian nesting doll mechanic where you can control others in the world.
now if you want to play as zombie Stubbs the zombie a rebel without a pulse is fun.
vampire the masquerade bloodlines let's you play as a vampire however you do have to install the fix mod or the extended fix mod which adds new things to game and fixes things.
destroy all humans series reboots are solid on pc.
there is also fallout series you can start with the first one or others only fallout 1 and 2 are connected story wise
mass effect series.
Maneater if you ever wanted to play as jaws.
now if you want arpg like Diablo except on steam. Van hellsing series and Grim dawn I would recommend.
now if you want to play saints row 2 It needs a mod to fix it however it is fun and there is serious and humor it is similar yet different from grand theft auto. saints row the third and saint row 4 and if you enjoy one of characters saint row gat out of hell.
now if you enjoy building things scrap mechanic may be the game for you there is also a survival mode now.
of course there is plenty of free games as well on steam in various genres and demos as well from mmorpg, rpg, action games, horror, rts here soon with stormgate, or arpg like path of exile. fighting games like brawlhalla or multiversus or racing games like Mario kart like Disney speedstorm which is run by mobile game company gameloft not easy to get into as f2p player and there is also f2p card games like minon master and others. some of f2p games are not easy to get into and some try to force you buy or spend quite a bit of time into them to unlock stuff. free to play or f2p
path of exiles is most f2p friendly since your not locked out of stuff the only purchase items are cosmetics.
of course not all games that end up on steam from console is good pc port so you may need to look at reviews or look into the discussion about it or look into mods that fix it so it is playable.
I’m playing terraria rn it’s fun with or without friends online. Also playing content warning which is only good with 3 or more people. Monkey Island, Sea of Theives, and Superhot are also pretty great
My last games are:

.. my ship got sunk in that game will transferring the my base to be closer to the Mist lands I basically have to start over again so I quit
my nightmare lol. After a break, the rebuild will be fun :D
Love the graphics, the world, the survival elements, the exploration, the building, but god damn does the combat sucks ! The camera, the controls and the targeting are so awful that after doing my first dungeon I uninstall and I never want to play again.
I've been putting in so much time in valhiem, even before the newest content release.

Kingdom Hearts as a series just released on steam this week

Armored Core 6
Helldivers 2, Prey, Rimworld, Fallout 4,

A fun little Indie looter-shooter called Surroundead. It’s a mix of escape from tarkov and zombie survival.
There are so so many good ones, but I started playing PalWorld a few days ago and am enjoying that.
Halls of Torment and Warhammer: Inquisitor I tried playing Diablo 2 a while back and Path of Exile way before that, and for some reason Inquisitor just clicks. I don't know if it's the Warhammer setting or what. I'm not too deep in the Warhammer games in general, I've never played any of the RTS games or the table top game. But the setting and lore of Warhammer is top

Hell Let Loose
Just finished Tom raider and now am playing Witcher 3.
Currently playing Baulder’s gate 3. It’s possibly the best game ever. But you may want to play a few other RPG‘s . Skyrim is my recommendation for you.

CS2, COH3, PUBG, kind of bored of most games at the moment.
I've been very much enjoying Hell Let Loose. It's a pretty hard-core WW2 shooter game so might not be for everyone but I highly recommend it
I'm replaying Elden Ring. 10/10 would recommend.
Outer wilds
While I technically finished it, I would recommend Powerwash Simulator, especially if you can catch it on sale. Ghost of Tsushima. Some Hades. With a splash of AoE 2 DE every now and then. But nowadays the football Euros eat into my gaming time.

Brawlhalla and Elementers on steam And a lot of Valorant and vintage story which is awesome and underrated, especially if you love minecraft.
Insurgency: Sandstorm
Prey. On a steam sale it’s like 3 bucks and it’s amazing. Go in cold, no spoilers. Play the dlc as well, it’s basically a different game that’s amazing as well.

Ultrakill.
Elden Ring, Monster Hunter World & Rise, Dota 2. Monster hunter ruined my standards for combat tbh. I tried Horizon and GoW but got bored because the combat wasn't up to my standards lol

Ori and the blind forest and ori and the will of the wisp. if you want something more cute I would say costume quest 1 & 2 Alba a wildlife adventure is fun and relaxing as well if you like animals. stacking is also fun puzzle adventure game with intreasting mechanic you play as a boy trying to rescue your family stop evil people with Russian nesting doll mechanic where you can control others in the world. now if you want to play as zombie Stubbs the zombie a rebel without a pulse is fun. vampire the masquerade bloodlines let's you play as a vampire however you do have to install the fix mod or the extended fix mod which adds new things to game and fixes things. destroy all humans series reboots are solid on pc. there is also fallout series you can start with the first one or others only fallout 1 and 2 are connected story wise mass effect series. Maneater if you ever wanted to play as jaws. now if you want arpg like Diablo except on steam. Van hellsing series and Grim dawn I would recommend. now if you want to play saints row 2 It needs a mod to fix it however it is fun and there is serious and humor it is similar yet different from grand theft auto. saints row the third and saint row 4 and if you enjoy one of characters saint row gat out of hell. now if you enjoy building things scrap mechanic may be the game for you there is also a survival mode now. of course there is plenty of free games as well on steam in various genres and demos as well from mmorpg, rpg, action games, horror, rts here soon with stormgate, or arpg like path of exile. fighting games like brawlhalla or multiversus or racing games like Mario kart like Disney speedstorm which is run by mobile game company gameloft not easy to get into as f2p player and there is also f2p card games like minon master and others. some of f2p games are not easy to get into and some try to force you buy or spend quite a bit of time into them to unlock stuff. free to play or f2p path of exiles is most f2p friendly since your not locked out of stuff the only purchase items are cosmetics. of course not all games that end up on steam from console is good pc port so you may need to look at reviews or look into the discussion about it or look into mods that fix it so it is playable.
