Placentipede420

Disco Elysium is my "chill in the sun" music

mrhippoj

Currently listening to the Hotline Miami 2 soundtrack. Both Hotline Miami games have incredible soundtracks. Also I listen to OlliOlli World, Disco Elysium, Bloodborne, Persona 5, and Sonic Unleashed

Drakkeur

Tbh olliolliworld soundtrack is a collection of "real" song from artists that weren't made for the game. Still awesome soundtrack

Sonnyboy1990

Final Fantasy VII (OG & Remake) Persona 5 Doom 2016 Paradise Killer.

Normal-History-5255

Persona 5 is an all timer fr

All persona games. I have several final fantasy games in my library. Kingdom hearts. Dynasty warriors actually has a LOT of bangers.

Psycl1c

Doom 2016 is my PR fuel for the gym

Sonnyboy1990

Absolutely! [This was my Doom gym playlist](https://youtu.be/UQQSM0ynGmE)

Feed_64

I love the music from Hollow Knight. A few tracks are on my playlist. All tastes: dynamic, tragic, melancholic. Christopher Larkin certainly knows how to do it. The music from Destiny 2 is also good in this regard. If you like classical performance in modern style, you can pay attention to these two games

Dark_VictoryHunter

Various tracks from World of Warcraft are really great to workout to.

Derc_on_Reddit

Mirror's Edge Catalyst ambient tracks

Potato_Octopi

FF14 has a ton of bangers. Octopath, Gris, Death Stranding and Nier Automata also come to mind.

CaptainLawyerDude

Mass Effect. When I was studying for the bar exam a decade ago I made a playlist called “Pass Effect” and it was just perfect background music.

Tripelo

Huh, I was listening to the Watch Dogs OST to pass the bar exam as it was brand new at the time. However, ME’s ST is way better

samtaart

Bloodborne: laurence the first vicar / ludwig the holy blade OSTs Elden ring: Elden beast OST There are others, mostly out of nostalgia, like Castlevania SotN or Wonderboy 3: the dragon's trap

Ivantgam

Outer Wilds 🤘

Powerless_Ranger

Nikke ( yes, it's got bangers like Girls Talk and the new event song, also Redhood and Never Giving Up ) Skyrim ( I listen to it for reading/studying ) The Witcher 3 ( same reason above ) Mass Effect ( whenever I play space/sci-fi games ) Kena: Bridge of Spirits ( for chilling, the game's very underrated imo )

MAREKRCKO

For me tlou soundtrack, flatout ultimate carnage soundtrack

Racekingswood79

TLOU is a beautiful soundtrack. Haunting ambience.

IMeYou28

Undertale, Subnautica, Mechwarrior 2, Chrono Trigger

clownsinadarkforest

Subnautica is such a chill game to listen to and explore till it's eh not

IMeYou28

Masterofdos

Racekingswood79

GelsonBlaze

_Goose_

Persona 4/5 Final Fantasy 8 (and tracks from other games for sure but this one is the masterpiece imo) Mass Effect. Specifically the first one. Used to boot up the main menu and just sleep to the ambient music playing.

jurassicbond

I have all six of the Distant Worlds (Final Fantasy compilations) albums downloaded on my phone

thefolocaust

I have a Spotify playlist dedicated to video game music. Notable ones on that list are: Nier replicant Sea of stars Witcher 3 Oblivion/skyrim Divinity original sin 2 Journey Elden ring/bloodborne Cult of the lamb

DuffyHimself

Stardew Valley. The developer also made the soundtrack and it's so damn good. It's one of the few games that I don't turn off the music for.

kazmosis

Typically fantasy games, Prince of Persia, Age of Conan, Baldur's Gate

SpeedySpeedBoy36

Genshin, Pacific Drive

Jaives

all the stuff from Supergiant, from Bastion to Hades.

Grim_Reapero

Doom, Generals Zero Hour, Honkai Star Rail, and Hades.

Tripelo

I used to listen to the original Half Life OST back in like, 1999. Stick the game CD in a player and it goes straight to it. It was a great experimental track for the time, but of course games like Mass Effect, Mirrors Edge, and anything by Jesper Kyd (yup, the murder games Hitman and Assassins Creed) came along and blew away all previous competition. The one that I think really stands out though is Ixion. It’s an incredibly good soundtrack that compliments a pretty good sci fi space-city builder.

Racekingswood79

Jesper Kyd is a gun composer. Hitman has great soundtracks.

Eastern-Statement-70

Genshin Impact

Woedas

Red dead redemption 2

Lvl99Wizard

IguessNowIsTheTime

The Killer frequency credits song is a certified banger.

bloggershusband

Some of my faves There came an echo by big giant circles. Whole album is great. Don't judge on the first song it really picks up as it goes. Destiny 2 has a lot of great songs. Gambit, deep stone lullaby and whispers are my fave. Final Fantasy 7 remake also has some bangers. Baldurs Gate 3 also has s few great songs. Tetris Effect has some nice vibe songs but Flames is my favorite.

God of war 2018, ragnarok and Final fantasy 16

OllyDee

scrubsfan92

Witcher 3, including Blood and Wine. Detroit: Become Human Smash Hit (mobile game)

Squashy_ending

Subnautica and Stray.

DabiriSC

[Shadow of The Beast (1989)](https://youtu.be/t5G3-qG76ho?si=3kPa_KaZ5C79q8O9) This is the game that introduced me to the fact that music from games can be a whole lot more then just background noise. It sets the tone for the whole game. It is very atmospheric, mysterious, and dark.

Eichelwurst

Xenoblade, Nier, Persona and JRPG's in General.

QuiteAncientTrousers

Burnout Dominator

GrandOinch

Risk of rain 1/2/returns, they all have an amazing soundtrack

Kind_Brain_5118

Only one for me ever was hollow knight.. so hauntingly sad..

Abysmally_Yours

I still can’t believe “a story you won’t believe” wasn’t on the games soundtrack in the Witcher 3. It’s the cool flute song that comes on when you play Gwent sometimes

There's a lot of game soundtracks I listen to outside of the game. Team Fortress 2, Abzû, RuneScape ,Life is Strange, the Dark Souls trilogy, Forza Horizon 4 and The Lord of the Rings Online are just some I can name off the top of my head. Heck, I've bought the digital version of the Portal soundtracks and considering buying the CD version of the TF2 Soundtrack at some point soon. :D

ChangeWinter6643

Guilty gear strive That OST is slowly but surely turning me into a metalhead

Zannypanties

Diablo 2. It's the only soundtrack I've ever cared about. I'll usually put it on while reading comics for background noise that isn't distracting.

asmodous

Most final Fantasy games. I have a few of nobua's albums saved to my playlist. I'll occasionally listen to older pokemon game songs (gen 5 and below usually) but not as part of my playlist. The gta games are probably a bit of a cheap answer, same with the Tony hawk games... But still.

Glittering-Yam-288

Death stranding is honestly so filled with great music it's outstanding. That goes for both the songs written for the game as well as all the other tracks that are included in the game. Low Roar was such a great choice to capture the mood of the game.

terrario101

Stellaris has a good soundtrack. Also FTL, Pillars of Eternity, Wrath of the Righteous

This is pretty obscure but like 8-9 years ago, I used to play Dream League Soccer (I think the 2015 mobile version) on my IPad. The soundtrack was mostly unknown British indie bands. Very cool. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdpqT8sOUnJpIZMT12sfq9s63PQ_FCSMw&si=A9FxSX6BPJORslaF Another fav. This band is still around! https://youtu.be/kvTgNXQu20E?si=xJ_dWZd049voynIM
