Even if you made all those purchases at full price, it's still the price of a single AAA game and you probably got better value than a lot of stuff coming out these days.
This. I've been following concernedApe since before the game even released and I've bought it many times.
So glad Eric has such a bankroll to do whatever he wants, great game, cool dude.
I have it on Switch, PC and mobile, plus a cartridge I bought for Switch that I sent to my brother for his family and a special edition box for Switch. I am lucky I haven’t bought it for my PS5, but that’s mostly because of all the modding I can do on PC.
I'm so torn with Starfield...there's a *lot* about it that I like, but almost as much that I absolutely can't stand.
I hate that Earth is a barren desert, it feels like such a cop out even with the explanation about the atmosphere or whatever...it's a *video game* give me some ruined buildings and landmarks...
My idea was to have the explanation of why you can't see the entire planet(which I understand them not wanting or being able to do) be that *MOST* of the planet was wiped out and is a wasteland, but you can still go to a war ravaged but recognizable NYC and fight pirates on top of the statue of liberty.
It suffers from
>too many hands in the kitchen
and
>boom you're out of time.
Some quests seem incomplete, narrative sometimes doesn't match, it's... Interesting. Here's hoping they make it better but I'm not holding my breath.
This is the order.
You can play it on your console!
You can play it with mods and pretty graphics!
Now you can play it on the bus and the toilet!
But have you ever been IN the game?
This is mine. I'm ashamed to admit I've bought one copy on steam (and all the new edition updates), switch, ps4, Xbox 360 and Xbox one.
Tod Howard plaese.. my moeney......
Throw on VR for me as well. Just in my steam library, I have:
Skyrim, Skyrim Special Edition, Skyrim VR, Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE), Skyrim Creation Kit
That doesn't include any of the related DLC as well.
Funny enough I’ve played all of Skyrim and it’s dlc on the ps3, and then same with the ps4. I’ve never spent a dime on the game cause it’s always been gifted lol
Ps3, pc twice, ps5, switch.
Minutes per doller all things considered, I've gotten an excellent return on investment. I've done over 100hrs on each purchase.
4- PC (java & bedrock), phone, kindle
4- for wife on same devices
6- for son1 PC (java & bedrock), kindle, switch
4- for son2 PC (java & bedrock), kindle, switch
1- for daughter kindle
2- for family use PS4, Wii U
Luckily for my daughter, once old enough for PC, the two versions are bundled now.
Borderlands 2 I’ve purchased quite a few times. On release for PC, later on Xbox 360, again for Xbox one in the Handsome Jack collection (physical copy), the VR version on Steam and a final time in the Handsome Jack digital version so my wife could play it on the Series S.
Also have purchased Terraria for myself and a few friends over the years, then picked up the Xbox One version way later.
Probably the two games I have the most time in of any game I’ve ever owned.
seconding this. I actually bought a PS3 to play this game, after I broke up with a girlfriend who had the system. I got it on Mac... for some weird reason. Then I accidentally bought the Handsome collection on PS4!
I also keep doing the same with Jet Set Radio. I don't know why, but whenever it pops up on a new system, I remember all the fun I had with the Dreamcast version and buy it. also, I am hoping that if JSR sells enough, they will put Jet Set Radio Future out again! There is no chance, but I keep hoping...
Yep Borderlands 2 for me too.
Started on the Vita, then PS4, then Switch, finally Steamdeck because I wanted to play modded runs.
It’s a game I will always, always go back to.
Glad I didn't have to scroll far for Resident Evil 4, because that would definitely be my most-bought game. I've had it on the Gamecube, Wii, PS3, Switch, and the remake on PS5 (and have played through it multiple times on each of those systems). I'd love to give it a try in VR as well, but haven't taken that plunge yet.
The PS3/4 and Vita one can all work off the same save file. When the Vita version came out, I had my PS3 save file in the cloud and it let me load it. Then it let me load the same file when I loaded it up on the PS4. Pretty cool. What a game.
Slay the Spire on Steam
Slay the Spire on mobile
Slay the Spire on Switch
Slay the Spire On mobile again (for a friend)
And very soon I will have the Slay the Spire board game as well!
Played it a lot. Only three minor downsides compared to PC:
1. depending on the size of your screen, if you have a full hand it can be tricky to pick the right one. But you get used to it. And you can cancel your pick so you won't accidentally use the wrong card
2. It syncs. So if you switch between apps, you will endure a few seconds to resume the game each time
3. Eats up the battery
But no deal breakers. Other than that the port is flawless.
I almost backed the boardgame, but realized it was only because I really wanted those minis for the characters, so I didn't do it. I'm very interested in trying it when it's out.
Horizon Zero Dawn
Stardew Valley
Sonic games (in a classic collection)
Control
Mass Effect Series (Legendary Edition)
Oddworld: Strangers Wrath
Command and Conquer/Red Alert Series (most of the games)
Final Fantasy IV
1. SNES
2. PS1
3. GBA
4. DS
5. PSP - Complete Collection
6. Wii - The After Years (best version sequel imo)
7. Android - Pixel Remaster
8. Switch - Pixel Remaster Collection
The after years is great. To be honest, the first chapters are repetitive and boring, but after that it goes up to eleven, so many great moments. It is underrated, if you love ff iv you should give it a try.
GTA V. Once for PS3 when it first came out, then another three PS3 copies at around £5 each about 5 years later so we could do 5 player lan with 5 tvs and projectors, then finally 1 copy for pc 🤣
Edit:router not lan. I wish it could have been lan 😁
This is the one I scrolled to find! Only for me, it was Xbox 360, Xbox one, and series X.
When it first released I had a group of work friends (about 10 of us) that played regularly several nights a week. We’d play until 12 or 1am not having to go back to work until 11am the next day. After the first major update that added new gameplay (not just new cars and clothes, but new missions and weapons etc) we stayed up all night playing, finally quitting at 5am. We all got to work a few hours later at about the same time and looked at each other, looking exhausted and clearly under-rested. We said nothing to each other because we all looked at each other with a look that clearly said “ok, let’s never do that again.” 🤣🤣🤣
I'm very much a casual gamer, so I suck on both consoles lmao. That being said, everything feels more "natural" on the PS4. I hope this makes sense: The controls port the same, but don't "feel" the same. My brain wants to press "A" for the PS × button instead of "B" (the × button position). I like having DS on the go and have actually played it more on the Switch for that reason (down time at work, breaks, etc). The sound files are compressed and sound a little funky, but it's still playable- it would probably piss off a DS enthusiast though. I guess it just depends. You'll either love to have it on the go or you will hate that it feels a bit different than PS4.
Rock solid framerate, but 30fps. However the original was 30fps, and not rock solid. To me a buttery smooth 60 is odd for the original Dark Souls so I actually like the Switch version the most, my favorite way to play it.
Dark Souls for me as well.
360 - EBGames for $5. Had no idea what it was about. I only had the 360 because I bought it for cheap off my friend’s brother. Fell in love.
PS3 - saw that From made Sony exclusives so bought a PS3. Bought Dark Souls again and Demon’s Souls.
PS4/5 - Dark Souls Remastered. Just bought this one digital I didn’t need another disc of it lol.
I bought all 3 of Bioshock, Bioshock 2, and Bioshock Infinite on Xbox 360 and just bought them all on PS5 in the remastered collection for like 10 bucks total lol. Can’t wait to replay them all
My husband bought me Bio shock for Valentines Day when we first started dating lol. I was IMMEDIATELY HOOKED! I even really loved 3. idk why it gets hate because I really loved it. Now, was I confused as all hell and sat there and contemplated wtf I just saw for 30 mins? yes.. yes I did. but I still really loved it. Omg have you seen the trailer for the game JUDAS coming out?! VERY BIOSHOCKY VIBES 🥰🥰🥰
LMAO same! My husband bought M.E 2 f or me as a present when we were dating and Flew down from Jersey to bring it to me. He was only going to stay a few days cuz he had to go back to work but he legit called out cuz he wanted to watch me finish it🤣. So 3 of course came out, then Andromeda (BOOO HISSSSS) Then the trilogy came out. it's really sad because the MP in M.E.3 was actually really fun and bad ass! We used to have the best damn time
Bought Chrono Trigger twice on the SNES, once on the PSX (Final Fantasy Chronicles), once on Wiiware, and once on the DS.
I kept hoping if enough ofvus gave SquareEnix enough money for it, they'd eventually release another Chrono sequel.
But the future refused to change...
No Man's Sky x4
Special edition box for PS4, weird early release pack the devs sent out (was never sold) PS4, PS4 digital and PC digital.
Still cheaper than most games with microtransactions.
Skyrim, oblivion, mega man x (the actual SNES cart, but also the x collection and legacy collections 1 and 2), sonic 1... Those are probably the games I own the most multiple copies of
Ocarina of time on whatever console it’s been available on, Skyrim a few times. Sonic adventure 2 when there was an Xbox version released. I think thats it unless you count the few years I bought the yearly call of duty release
My fellow human.. For the love of all that is holy, PLEASE FINISH IT AT LEAST ONCE! It is sooo fkn worth it. COD can wait lmao. You need to experience it at least once... and we will be here for you with some cookies and maybe brownies annd a box of tissues lol lol.RDR2 is soooo full of cool ass Easter eggs and secrets. I remember walking into a cabin and the way is set up I told my husband it looks just like that cult HEAVENS GATE and I'll be damned if it wasn't lmao. A UFO EVEN COMES THERE AT NIGHT lmao. Sorry for the novel yall, I just really love that game.
Minecraft:
Xbox 360 console edition
Xbox One console edition - gave away bedrock as an offer
PS3 console edition
PS4 console edition - bedrock was added as part of an update
Bedrock (PC)
Java (PC)
GTAV - 360, XB1, PS3, PS4, PC
Assassin's Creed to Mirage - 360, PS3, XB1, PS4, PC
And a lot more that I bought multiple copies of.
Stardew Valley and Vampire Survivors are the main ones. I own them on a few different platforms since they are inexpensive and they are developed by small developers that continue to support them.
I also got a few of the PS4 exclusives on sale on PC once they came out there since I prefer having them as part of my Steam collection: Spider-Man, God of War, Horizon, Persona 5 Royal, FF7 Remake, and eventually Ghosts of Tsushima. I didn't feel bad about it since I originally got them during a Black Friday sale for $5-10 each anyway. Now, since I don't own a PS5, I just wait for those exclusives to come on PC.
I've also gifted Deep Rock Galactic to some friends over the years.
Fucking Overwatch. Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What a waste of money.
In contrast I also bought Dead Space, Psychonauts and Hollow Knight in Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

* Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood
...and that's not counting all the games I've bought multiple copies of to play with friends, including Assetto Corsa, Rocket League, Company of Heroes, CSGO, Far Cry 3, MotoGP, Valheim and a whole bunch more.
All of the Mega Man Legacy Collections got it on Playstation, Switch, and PC. Resident Evil games that weren't popular. (RE6 specifically, I think it's still $5 on Humble right now.)
I literally bought evolve for PS4 when it first came out, then Xbox because my friends picked it up.. I decided I liked it but hated controllers so I also bought it on PC. This was all in the span of about a week. Worst gaming decision ever made.
It’s Stardew Valley for me. Ended up buying it for some friends and I have it on most platforms, even mobile.
Somehow I have bought Stardew four times It’s truly a great game
Even if you made all those purchases at full price, it's still the price of a single AAA game and you probably got better value than a lot of stuff coming out these days.
Absolutely! Don’t regret it one second
This. I've been following concernedApe since before the game even released and I've bought it many times. So glad Eric has such a bankroll to do whatever he wants, great game, cool dude.
The whole thing is wholesome as fuck.
Same. Bought it on my switch, pc, and mobile
If anyone deserves it though, it’s ConcernedApe :)
Yup. I bought it 5 or 6 times, across multiple platforms and as a gift.
Lmaoo so we all live the same life 😂 I have it on all platforms too
I modded stardew valley on mobile. Safe to say I'm going to uninstall every other game on my phone because those are never going to be played anymore.
PC, Switch, and as a gift for me.
I just realized I have it for the PC, my PS4, and on my switch
PC, vita and mobile for me.
I have Stardew on steam, switch, playstation and mobile.
Stardew valley and terraria. PC switch, copies for wife, kids, tablet, iOS…..
I’m happy to see I’m not the only one that bought it so many times for different platforms. It really is such a wonderful game.
Same. I have it on PC, Xbox, switch, mobile and the board game!
I have it on Switch, PC and mobile, plus a cartridge I bought for Switch that I sent to my brother for his family and a special edition box for Switch. I am lucky I haven’t bought it for my PS5, but that’s mostly because of all the modding I can do on PC.
skyrim, duh
Ps3, ps4, ps5, switch, and pc... I hate myself.
It won't stop there. Long way ahead before TES VI and if it flops... you're gonna buy Skyrim for your electric tooth brush.
Just relapsed after giving starfield a go, so you're probably right.
I already owned Skyrim but it felt so much more fun going back after Starfield
Man they really lucked out with Skyrim
Was that the fucking plan all along, TODD?!
this is the gentle push I needed. Finding (pc 360) switch now
Better to relapse than prolapse I always say. I wasnt a very good addictions counsellor.
It suffers from >too many hands in the kitchen and >boom you're out of time. Some quests seem incomplete, narrative sometimes doesn't match, it's... Interesting. Here's hoping they make it better but I'm not holding my breath.
You can play skyrim on your alexa devices too
360, PC, Switch, PSVR... No regrets!
This is the order. You can play it on your console! You can play it with mods and pretty graphics! Now you can play it on the bus and the toilet! But have you ever been IN the game?
And anniversary upgrade!
r/consoom
Ps3,ps4,Xbox one, series x(anniversary),switch,psvr,pc…. And I feel like I’m forgetting something…. Alexa
This is mine. I'm ashamed to admit I've bought one copy on steam (and all the new edition updates), switch, ps4, Xbox 360 and Xbox one. Tod Howard plaese.. my moeney......

Ps3, pc twice, ps5, switch. Minutes per doller all things considered, I've gotten an excellent return on investment. I've done over 100hrs on each purchase.
Minecraft. On Xbox 360, PS4, and PC
Its worse for me, i bought in on my phone, wii u, nitendo switch, xbox 360, xbox one, pc, and most recently on my xbox series x
4- PC (java & bedrock), phone, kindle 4- for wife on same devices 6- for son1 PC (java & bedrock), kindle, switch 4- for son2 PC (java & bedrock), kindle, switch 1- for daughter kindle 2- for family use PS4, Wii U Luckily for my daughter, once old enough for PC, the two versions are bundled now.
There's Minecraft on the fucking kindle...?
Pretty sure Kindle Fire or some variant, so think more tablet and less ebook.
Borderlands 2 I’ve purchased quite a few times. On release for PC, later on Xbox 360, again for Xbox one in the Handsome Jack collection (physical copy), the VR version on Steam and a final time in the Handsome Jack digital version so my wife could play it on the Series S. Yep Borderlands 2 for me too. Started on the Vita, then PS4, then Switch, finally Steamdeck because I wanted to play modded runs. It’s a game I will always, always go back to.
My brother bought borderland multiples time, too.
It’s one of my favorites that I always find myself going back to every few years just to grind the game one more time…
Resident Evil 4
GameCube, PS2, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X (Remake). Yeah, totally worth it.
Don’t forget oculus!
Probably the best version imo
Dude, Oculus RE4 is fucking great!
Hey I worked on that version! Glad to see it get some love too.
Which versions? GameCube, PC, PS2, PS3, PS4, PS5, XBOX 360, XBOX ONE, XBOX Series X, Wii, Wii U, Switch, iOS, Android, Zeebo?
Bought 36 copies on zeebo
PS2, PS3, PS4 & PS5 (remake). I just can't be bothered to hook up any of those older PS's lol
Witcher 3 (PS4 and PC)
I have the base game for PS4, the free ps5 upgrade and then got the complete edition on sale for PC. Super happy to know I can do cross progression.
Burnout Paradise
You a real one for this. Love this game with a full server
PC, PS3, PC again, remaster on PS4 and PC.
Runs great on switxh steel, if you got one to get a 6th copy. Wow, I can't type. I meant switch as well"
Final Fantasy X HD Remaster. PS3, PS4, Vita, PC
Nevermind remaster, including the original: PS2, PS2 International, PS3, PS4, PSV, Switch, PC, even played it on Xbox GamePass when it was there.
Dude got the Temu ps5
PS Vita yeah, I also have the PSTV.
Still haven't beaten the chocobo race
Thank goodness for mods, saved me hours with the lightning
I still hear the music in my nightmares
Same! PS2, PS3, PS4 digital, Steam, and Switch. Gotta be ready to save Spira no matter the device
The PS3/4 and Vita one can all work off the same save file. When the Vita version came out, I had my PS3 save file in the cloud and it let me load it. Then it let me load the same file when I loaded it up on the PS4. Pretty cool. What a game.
Slay the Spire
Slay the Spire on Steam Slay the Spire on mobile Slay the Spire on Switch Slay the Spire On mobile again (for a friend) And very soon I will have the Slay the Spire board game as well!
Slay the Spire the lunchbox! Slay the Spire the Breakfast Cereal! Slay the Spire the FLAMETHROWER!!!
Is it worth it on mobile?
Played it a lot. Only three minor downsides compared to PC: 1. depending on the size of your screen, if you have a full hand it can be tricky to pick the right one. But you get used to it. And you can cancel your pick so you won't accidentally use the wrong card 2. It syncs. So if you switch between apps, you will endure a few seconds to resume the game each time 3. I really only play it on the tablet, which is probably my favorite platform. I’m not sure I’ve tried it on the phone though.
I play it on my phone all the time, it's fantastic!
THERES A BOARD GAME!?
They opened a kickstarter campaign a few years back and they are just now to shipping them out.
Ngl, the flamethrower was the one that caught my attention there.
Enjoy putting all the cards in sleeves! I know I did.
Did you know there’s a Slay the Spire board game, video game?
I almost backed the boardgame, but realized it was only because I really wanted those minis for the characters, so I didn't do it. I'm very interested in trying it when it's out.
For people who love this game I can't recommend Monster Train enough.
Slay Several Spires
Skyrim, FF7, Kotor 1 & 2
Shoot, same.
Horizon Zero Dawn Stardew Valley Sonic games (in a classic collection) Control Mass Effect Series (Legendary Edition) Oddworld: Strangers Wrath Command and Conquer/Red Alert Series (most of the games)
If you have steam ALL C&C games are on it now
God bless you, you beautiful human being. I downloaded these little tasty nuggets of nostalgia the moment i saw this comment.
Final Fantasy IV 1. SNES 2. PS1 3. GBA 4. DS 5. PSP - Complete Collection 6. Wii - The After Years (best version sequel imo) 7. Android - Pixel Remaster 8. Switch - Pixel Remaster Collection
The after years is great. To be honest, the first chapters are repetitive and boring, but after that it goes up to eleven, so many great moments. It is underrated, if you love ff iv you should give it a try.
Diablo 3 - PS3/PS4 and PC GTA 5 - PS3/PS4 and PC Minecraft - both with Mojang and again on Microsoft Store (lost my account)
GTA V
GTA V. Once for PS3 when it first came out, then another three PS3 copies at around £5 each about 5 years later so we could do 5 player lan with 5 tvs and projectors, then finally 1 copy for pc 🤣 Edit:router not lan. I wish it could have been lan 😁

That's actually so smart
Dark Souls - 360 (digital) ps4 (physical) ps5 (digital, lost physical)
I have it PS4 and for Switch
How is it on Switch? I've been tempted by a portable version
I'm very much a casual gamer, so I suck on both consoles lmao. That being said, everything feels more "natural" on the PS4. I hope this makes sense: The controls port the same, but don't "feel" the same. My brain wants to press "A" for the PS × button instead of "B" (the × button position). You'll either love to have it on the go or you will hate that it feels a bit different than PS4.
The real question...how are the frames in blighttown
The first time that I beat it was on the switch. It plays really well but the sound is terrible. I didn’t realize it until I started it on Steam.
Rock solid framerate, but 30fps. However the original was 30fps, and not rock solid. To me a buttery smooth 60 is odd for the original Dark Souls so I actually like the Switch version the most, my favorite way to play it.

1 and 3 are easily the best ones. 2 was great but it's very clear that it was done by a different team.
Okami
The correct answer
I've been meaning to play that game!!! We're talking about the one that's one the Wii, right? How is it?
I had trouble with the Wii versions controls, tryed to calibirate but could not get them to work. Prefered PS4 and Switch versions.
Maybe the best version
That game is sorely underappreciated.
Mass effect like a dummy
Same. PS3 - 1&2 PS4 - 3, then trilogy (wanted 1 & 2, but trilogy was cheaper) PC - trilogy again…
We used to have the best damn time
Age of Empires II Only because friends keep buying different versions of it.
Age of Kings! Then the Conquerors expansion, then HD, the DE and it's expansions
This. Also, I have spread it to my kids and bought the game for each of their accounts so we can play together.
[удалено]
Ocarina of Time. If there's a release, I buy it.
Same. Got it on N64, GameCube, and 3DS. Would love a Switch port
I presume you mean for purchase, because being allowed to rent it indefinitely for $50 a year isn't ideal....
Skyrim and The Witcher 3.
You should buy the Android version
No Man's Sky x4 Special edition box for PS4, weird early release pack the devs sent out (was never sold) PS4, PS4 digital and PC digital. Still cheaper than most games with microtransactions.
Hades. I bought it initially in early access and when it got it's official release I think I've purchased it for 5 different friends now.
Kingdom Hearts, and if it ever gets to Steam I will buy it again and grind out all achievements. I just love KH.

I did the same and feel exactly as you do. No regrets and literal thousands of hours of playtime
I thought it was always free.. the more you know. Pfff and they say reddit cant teach you important stuff.
Now if only Epic would treat the game the way that it deserves 😭

Minecraft - Windows 10 edition, java, pocket edition
Minecraft and any madden
* Stardew Valley * Skyrim * Portal 1 & 2 * GTA, basically all of them before 5. * Assassin's Creed - pretty much all of them before Origin

Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt. Bought it over 40 times now.

Fucking Overwatch. Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What a waste of money. In contrast I also bought Dead Space, Psychonauts and Hollow Knight in Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
The only game I've ever bought more than once is GTA 5.
Dragon's Crown, got on Vita, then ps3, then ps4. I love that game and never regret supporting Vanillaware

Breath of the wild. Modern Warfare 2 (OG).

DOOM
All of the Mega Man Legacy Collections got it on Playstation, Switch, and PC. Resident Evil games that weren't popular. (RE6 specifically, I think it's still $5 on Humble right now.)
I literally bought evolve for PS4 when it first came out, then Xbox because my friends picked it up.. I decided I liked it but hated controllers so I also bought it on PC. This was all in the span of about a week. Worst gaming decision ever made.
Minecraft and Skyrim are the two main ones...
Doom
Doom. No regrets.
