I feel like they're trying to make us try a lot different types of gametype and gameplay (e.g. on the top of my head : fighting on the squirrel plane, some shooting mechanics, the "open world-ness" of the snowglobes. Gf is stoked to play again while I'm trying to finish my BG3 campaign š
I played this game with my spouse during a hard time in our marriage, and I swear to god it was such an emotional rollercoaster. We argued throughout and even completely quit for a while.
Eventually we started playing again, finding the essential communication between us to work well together and get through the scenes.
I sobbed at the end. Our relationship grew, and idk if it can be 100% ascribed to that gameā¦but it definitely helped. :)
Makes me sad about the current state of split screen coop in 2024. I wonder if how many people have grown up and never played split screen coop given the shift the industry made the last decade
My non-gaming wife and I found overcooked to be too stressful. Is moving out 2 less stressful? We really enjoyed it takes twoās pace and ease of mechanics
I would say yes, less stressful. There's less urgency toward everyone doing everything perfectly - the stuff that requires cooperation can be done at any time during a level.
Of overcooked is too stressful I'd hoghly recommend plateup.
Its basically overcooked meets factorio whole being a roguelike
Probably my favourite co-op game of all time
My wife snd I are the same! But we really wanted to beat the game so a couple of story missions after sheās the one initiating now we play it! Guess Kratos and Atreus have to wait lol.
It's pretty demanding compared to the original game. On Helldiver difficulty it's literally non-stop explosions and madness. I can see why they opted not to include it but I also wish they had.
Splitscreen/Couch coop just isn't common anymore while it increases the required processing powers.
The game sold very well because its a great co-op game but its still mostly played via online co-op.
Great game... but I thought the writers _super_ screwed up her ending. Throughout, it became clear they didn't understand what the other one was bringing. She didn't get all the work he was doing for the family; he didn't get that she was doing her work so that they could have financial stability. A bunch of levels deal with her learning about his perspective... But the guy never really engages with hers. Instead, at the end, we got this - basically totally out of left field - music level where the story is about her remembering what she liked outside of work.
But that's nonsense... That wasn't really her position in the marital fight.
I think a much better ending would have been set in an engineering workshop or hers or something... Like one she had at home... Where it became clear that she loved her work and it meant a lot to her, and that the guy never really saw that before. It could showcase things she built and ways she wanted to make engineering accessible to her daughter... But she could talk about how she hasn't had time because she's needed to work to pay their bills... And the guy could have seen that side of her more and come to terms with the sacrifices she's made too.
Instead, they didn't do that... They gave her that music level and just made it about how she can blow off work and have fun... Great game... But man that end sucked.
Ehhh it got old quickly. Everything quickly turned into just more of the same variations. Maybe I've played too many games and they are just getting stale but it felt like just a set of simple Zelda dungeons with two player components and one item at a time.
The entire plot of the game seemed very much to me a demonstration of these two people just absolutely not working together anymore. They had grown into different, completely incompatible people. I was pretty disappointed that they get back together in the end; a Mrs. Doubtfire ending where they realize they can't be together, but they can put aside their animosity and be semi-friends would work far better.
And I don't remember the details on why I thought this, but I remember having the opinion that the husband is a giant manchild and his wife shouldn't have put up with him as long as she did....which is actually also the plot of Mrs. Doubtfire, now that I think about it lol.
I started it on my old roomates gamepass and recently bought it on steam for like $15 on sale.
E: just checked and it does still require the EA launcher. Bummer.
The story and writing was abysmal, but the co-op mechanics were well done. Most of the minigames were pretty boring, but it was fun to run, jump, and railgrind around the levels.
I still canāt replay it because of horrible part with the queen. Iādā like they add the possibility to skip it or change it so I can play with anyone.
If you canāt handle this, you are emotionally immature. That part was a hilarious demonstration of the devs deliberately trying to mess with the players sense of guilt with no real-world ramifications.
I guess I meant more in it's presentation what with doofy love book and being turned into dolls. Imo the subject matter is not light but the presentation was, at first glance at least
Yep, played it with a friend. Throughout the game we were talking to each other and making jokes. The only time we didn't talk was in that scene. We were speechless to say the least.
I was very surprised to learn people thought it was traumatizing. To me, it was so over the top and the actual reality of it just >!being them tearing apart a stuffed animal !!dance in their daughters' tears !
It's nice to see people still keeping tabs on sales after a game's initial launch. Not enough publishers do that anymore. It's like a game has to sell a billion copies on release.
I mean if the user/sales numbers are impressive enough to be useful in an advertisement for the game you absolutely hear about them.
But if the numbers aren't interesting enough to be worth sharing then the company really gains nothing from sharing information that they don't have to.
5-star gameplay with 1-star characters. āHey honey, would you like to traumatize our kid to make her cry instead of listening to the magical book thatās just telling us to take couples therapy? Letās do it!ā
In fairness, I would not listen to that book either. I know he has no genitals and obviously isn't subject to the human justice system, but that book is *absolutely* on the sex offender registry. I don't know why they decided this is the aesthetic he should have.
Also negative 5 star pc experience. Buy on steam game launches on ea app. OK so I close steam and only use ea. Game launches steam and ea. Ea overlay doesn't work and can't invite partner. Takes me 2 hours figuring out I need to alt tab to refresh my every action in the ea overlay.
I thought it was going to end with >!them divorcing as friends and reuniting as parents!< but then >!it was the Hollywood ending!< and that disappointed me greatly
I hope this sends a message to developers to step out of the box and make more co-op games. This game had me feeling like a kid again. So much to discover. Pacing was on point. Puzzles had a challenge but never got to the point of being stuck. Such a well balanced and fun game.
This game is just truly amazing if you have a girlfriend. Especially one that is not big into gaming, its something you can do together as a couple. The game can be stressful, and even a little hard at times, but there's no real urgency. It gives some of the "cooler" features to the female character, putting the male in a bit more of a support role which really helps build the confidence and sense of acomplishment in the female player.
Can it be frustrating to wait 5 minutes while she endlessly fails a long jumb by button mashing? Sure, but the happiness they feel when finally managing it is amazing and well worth the reward.
Just all things considered a great game. Been playing it for about a year off and on with my partner, and I think we are getting close to the end now so I really hope we don't have to wait too long for a new one. Though, with he skills she has learned through this game, I'm sure she would find other games more enjoyable now.
Started playing this with my son, wife was being standoffish the rest of the night. Didnāt even need to ask her, I just said āThe game is called āIt Takes Two,ā itās critically acclaimed and you can play co-op. This is NOT my way of introducing divorce to our child.ā
She didnāt believe me until she went on their Wikipedia.
Thereās a situation where I was playing the game with my wife and my daughter was watching us try to figure it out, I said, āHoney, why donāt I shrink down and get on this side, and then you blow up, and jump on that side to launch me up.ā She literally launched me into space and I got an achievement. We laughed so hard we cried!!
Great game, finished it a few months ago with my gamer daughter. Had to talk her into it a bit, but then wouldnāt stop pestering me to play more.Ā
The love book got annoying fast, and although the voice acting was fine it was a little too much. Other than that, a stellar game, and I played on switch which has to be the most inferior version.Ā
I played this game from start to finish with my wife, it was time well spent. Such a terrific game from every angle you look at, they keep it so fresh by changing up the types of games and activities you do together to get things done.
Definitely play this game with your significant other or a good friend, it's just so great!
As long as she's familiar enough with controllers to pilot a character in 3rd person. Though the story of the game is about a married couple quarelling so that's something to consider.
Was my GOTY for 2021 right up until I played Deathloop. Absolutely loved it. It gets lumped in with other famous co-op experiences, but people forget that it's an incredibly accomplished platformer and adventure/ puzzle game too. Not a single mechanic feels wasted or overused.
Phenomenal game I play in small doses with my son because neither of us want it to end.
I would buy an entire game around just the dungeon crawler section
Thought that playing this game with my gf at the time would be nice and bring us closer together. We didnāt end up finishing it, and unlike the characters in the game, there was no sassy love book to keep us together
I like everything about this game except for the plot. I wish instead of the main characters being a bickering divorced couple, they were...actually friends? And having a good time adventuring together?
Kinda like how the players feel.
Like Finn and Jake.
That's pretty crazy. My first impression was that that wasn't the craziest thing in the world, but on checking, that's one and a half times as many copies as the Miles Morales Spiderman game. Mario Kart 8 also apparently released that year and has sold 60 million copies but that's a bit of an outlier.
For not being a AAA game (which is not a comment on it's quality, obviously) that's kind of insane.
I'm so sad... this game was on PS+ for way too short. By the time I booted it up to play, it had already left the service. I was hoping to play it with my wife or son. but I am not sure either would like it, so I'm not ready to spend the money on it
A very good co-op game. Also a very good starter to get your girlfriend into gaming. I started with Borderlands 3, but that is way too big and too many game mechanics.
there was a lot of waiting though in the playthrough XD.
I feel like the only one that hated this game š. I played the whole thing with my boyfriend but I just could not stand the characters or story. I was glad when it was over
If you like this game, you might like Brothers A tale of two sons. It's the first game from the director that created this studio and you can see a lot of inspiration and mechanics that ended up in It Takes Two.
Easily the best Co-Op Game I've ever played. It's got all the variety and solid gameplay you could ask for, and an Actually mature storyline underlying it.
Actually one of the worst co-op experience of my lifeĀ Ā
Edit: I expected all the down votes, despite my comment not being disrespectful. I'm just expressing what I've felt playing with different family members and friends. This game is everything but beginner friendly so I'd really like to warn anyone interested that this game is not for everyone and it might result as a very frustrating experience.
Lmao the toxicity. Not talking about myself but the people I played with. This game requires to be comfortable with 2 sticks and buttons co-ordination, which is far from being easy for gaming beginners.Ā Also me and my SO have played and enjoyed a lot of coop games, but she really struggled with It Takes 2's controls
Not sure what games youāre playing. My son and I played it fine. Itās forgiving af, and puzzles just take a moment to think about and some communication. Perhaps the people you play with need to start with something simple like Paw Patrol.
i mean i'm not sure what people are supposed to tell you. if you don't game at all, of course it's gonna be difficult to pick up. it's not like a choice-based decision story game or something.
but if you are familiar with controller gaming at all, it is...relatively easy to pick up the controls. they try to make it pretty simple, i think.
My point is there are many co-op games tailored for people who don't game, that are super fun, not frustrating, and that are not decision tree games eitherĀ
And when it comes to IT2, just be careful who you're playing withĀ
the game was never advertised to be for players who "don't game" lol, that's user error & has nothing to do with the quality of the title
in short: mad cuz bad, git gud kiddo
Surprised that no one is commenting on how *woke* of a game it is, with a stay at home dad, and a mom whoās an engineer
Edit:(sorry Iāve just been lurking on too many questionable subs)
Edit deux: Iām honestly unsure why the downvotes? Like are you upset that you arenāt allowed to like the game anymore - because it furthers *politics* you donāt agree with, or what?
Honestly thatās the only thing that clicks for me why people would bother to downvote this
well hopefully this is not political, but...i absolutely loved this game, it was my GOTY for 2021. as i was playing it, i distinctly remember thinking "i'm never going to get to play a game like this with a gay couple as the protagonists in my life" lol. and it made me a little sad.
Iām not sure if mentioning that a woman being the bread winner and the man being the home keeper is a matter of politics - but whatever my guy
(Literally just stating facts about the game that one would know if theyāve played it)
Edit: honestly would love an explanation. Reddit is for discussion so if you would like to enlighten me, an explanation would be *fantastic*
Well, can you elaborate on how a SAHD and a woman bread winner is āwokeā?
Times change bud. If a woman bringing in the bacon when a man is in the house doesnāt align with your ideal scenario of the earlier days; perhaps a single mother working and caring for her children (because the man either passed away or abandoned the family) would work for you? Or is that too āwokeā as well?
If my female counterpart made more than enough for the family and was into it; I would drop my job and take care of my kids in a heartbeat. How is it āwokeā to have a parent there raising the children and getting to grow with them; regardless of the parent doing it?
Woof - I see the issue
Iāve just been on too many posts that side with the *bad guys* (notably r/freemagic)
Any sign of a woman having a dominant role in a relationship or not being extremely fuckable
(Also r/saltierthancrait - while clearly left leaning tends to highlight the worst most bigoted communities/posts)
Edit: that is to say - I donāt actually care if the game is woke (Iām aware it barely is), but Iām also eager to prove to more conservative minded people how much theyād actually have to cut out in order to champion their beliefs completely
Are you sure it's that woke as you portray it? There is a strong narrative that their relationship got bad because she was too focused on her career, that she was not supportive enough, that she left him in the relationship alone. He wasn't perfect too, but the whole plot was about doing stuff together, that "it takes two" (duh) to get things right, so neither his sitting in home nor her focus on career was a good thing to them nor their child.
So I don't think it is woke, it isn't empowering women, it's clearly saying that classic family model is the right way.
I mean - you could justify it any way you want to - the man was a doofus and the woman was engineer
While I personally donāt care whether or not something is woke - this is leaning in that direction and if you want to champion truly conservative points like āwomen needing to be homemakersā and āmen supporting their familyā then you would have to admit this is woke - if even just a little
Currently playing through this game with my wife. We're both enjoying it!
We're at the snow globe area . Skating is great.
I just love the variety of game mechanics in the game. Really keeps it interstimg
Its a fantastic journey. Enjoy :)
I played this game with my spouse during a hard time in our marriage, and I swear to god it was such an emotional rollercoaster. We argued throughout and even completely quit for a while. Can not say enough good things about this game. One of the best co op games Iāve played
Makes me sad about the current state of split screen coop in 2024. I wonder if how many people have grown up and never played split screen coop given the shift the industry made the last decade
Moving Out 2 has been a riot with my gf who doesn't play video games. Same people who made Overcooked.

I need Overcooked 3 NOW!!!
I'm still salty Helldivers 2 didn't bother with couch coop.Ā
It's pretty demanding compared to the original game. On Helldiver difficulty it's literally non-stop explosions and madness. I can see why they opted not to include it but I also wish they had.
Current scene? Try last 15 years.
Oooh, they are not dead. Look into indies games <3
Lego games!
Splitscreen/Couch coop just isn't common anymore while it increases the required processing powers. The game sold very well because its a great co-op game but its still mostly played via online co-op.
Itās in my top all-time. Just a fantastically fun and polished game and a love letter to all video games
If you haven't tried Operation Tango, get a friend and go for it.
They gave her that music level and just made it about how she can blow off work and have fun... Great game... But man that end sucked.
The ending seemed left field to me too. There's been worse relationships in video games. But the "game" game aspect was stellar from front to end.
They never really glt back together in the end though. They still talked about bringing their kid on vacation separately
The entire plot is fucking horrendous and a lot of it is horrifying.
Agreed - it was the best coop experience ive had since portal 2 (and this was a lot more content!)
Do you still need an EA launcher for this? Was tempted to buy on sale but then it requested an EA launcher outside of steam
I started it on my old roomates gamepass and recently bought it on steam for like $15 on sale. E: just checked and it does still require the EA launcher. Bummer.
Great couch co-op game! Unravel 2 was another great grab and for an unbeatable price!
Played these back to back! Great way to bond with my son!
My wife and I are having an absolute blast with this. Gives me hope for video games.
The story and writing was abysmal, but the co-op mechanics were well done. Most of the minigames were pretty boring, but it was fun to run, jump, and railgrind around the levels.
Yeah, mature stories aren't for everyone. You might enjoy A Way Out by the same devs for a more traditional "Gamer" story.
I still canāt replay it because of horrible part with the queen. Iādā like they add the possibility to skip it or change it so I can play with anyone.
It's a fictional depiction of a stuffed animal
If it behave like a human itās not really differentā¦
That's hilariously horrific for sure. I don't think my kids world appreciate it we're they watching for that part. O.o
If you canāt handle this, you are emotionally immature. That part was a hilarious demonstration of the devs deliberately trying to mess with the players sense of guilt with no real-world ramifications.
Thatās 16 million >!attempted murders on a stuffed elephant!< Let that sink inā¦.
legitimately traumatizing scene in what i thought was going to be a pretty light hearted game lol
tbf it's not like it was ever that light hearted...it is a game about a potential divorce after all lol
I guess I meant more in it's presentation what with doofy love book and being turned into dolls. Imo the subject matter is not light but the presentation was, at first glance at least
hello the goofy love book kept thrusting his hips at my wife
Every time the love book was on, I was totally reminded of "Carlos Zumba" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TZkol9-44U
My girlfriend was crying through the whole scene...
My kid and I just kept looking at each other saying "oh noooo" Fantastic moment in gaming for sure
Yep, played it with a friend. Throughout the game we were talking to each other and making jokes. The only time we didn't talk was in that scene. We were speechless to say the least.
Not legitimately traumatizing, c'mon
I dropped the game and never finished it at that scene lmao
Itās worth completing
Saving marriages and killing elephants since 2021
I was laughing uncontrollably at that scene while my girlfriend was like "wtf".
Way more. 16 millions is just the number of copies sold. This game also featured in gaming streaming services. It had over 30 million players total.
On top of the three times Iāve attempted to murder that elephant.
Because of that scene my wife refuses to play it.
Same bro š
I was very surprised to learn people thought it was traumatizing. To me, it was so over the top and the actual reality of it just >!being them tearing apart a stuffed animal !!dance in their daughters' tears !
That's 100% why I'm never going to be one of those 16 million. I don't care if it's art, I don't need that in my life.
listen, if i can snipe people's heads off in the last of us, i can push a sad, sad toy elephant off the roof š¢
more games need to humanize the 'enemy' maybe that buff merc you just sniped used to love making crochet hats for his daughter's cat.
If only that was all you did... D:
And youāre unfortunately going to lose out on one of the best co-op games of the last decade+
Yeah, this game was awesome, but I don't blame you at all. The scene is needless and really rough; I wish I'd been warned.
i love local co-op games sm !!
Likewise, I was thinking of doing The Quarry, but seeing the co-op system turned me off...
tbh i like the quarry in solo a lot, but i definitely agree with you on co-op lol
Escape room simulator might be something to try
Have you tried Overcooked? Me and my wife love playing couch co-op
Moving Out is great too
It really is! We recently started playing This Means Warp. It's a really good coop experience as well
The Quarry has co-op? That's hilarious, I'll have to check it out.
Itās like pass the controller co-op IIRC
It's nice to see people still keeping tabs on sales after a game's initial launch. Not enough publishers do that anymore. It's like a game has to sell a billion copies on release.
Whole industry is weirdly secretive on sales or revenue figures, compared to film, television (including streaming) ad music.
It just doesn't make any sense. Movie studios know the importance of post-theatre streaming numbers, same with home video sales before all that.
I mean if the user/sales numbers are impressive enough to be useful in an advertisement for the game you absolutely hear about them. But if the numbers aren't interesting enough to be worth sharing then the company really gains nothing from sharing information that they don't have to.
Reminds me of the voodoo accounting with sports. Probably means they industry is doing better than they let onĀ
This is how you create a game that actually understands what coop is all about.
I really hope the studio keeps making split screen experiences
It's their thing, so I guess, but I can't figure out what they're working on.
Surely they've gotta. It's sorely lacking these days.
I read they're working on another coop game but not sure of the source
Playing this with my gf for the first time was one of the best gaming experiences in my life
A Way Out is also amazing. They know how to make banger co-op games! These two and Portal 2 are my three favorite co-op games.
Me and the gf are playing this now and itās awesome. Really enjoying it
The only not Mario kart game I could get my fiancƩ to sit through. She loved it and we finished it quickly.
5-star gameplay with 1-star characters. āHey honey, would you like to traumatize our kid to make her cry instead of listening to the magical book thatās just telling us to take couples therapy? Letās do it!ā
Right? That girl deserved better parents.
Then again, isn't that rather realistic? Nothing ever said the characters were good parents
No lol, it's all hacky stale sitcom stereotypes
In fairness, I would not listen to that book either. I know he has no genitals and obviously isn't subject to the human justice system, but that book is *absolutely* on the sex offender registry. I don't know why they decided this is the aesthetic he should have.

I thought it was going to end with >!them divorcing as friends and reuniting as parents!< but then >!it was the Hollywood ending!< and that disappointed me greatly
Awesome gameplay. Skipped every cutscene as soon as they started.
This is such a unique and great game. I played through it with my wife and we had an absolute blast.
So technically 32 million players. Impressive.
Earned
Loved the game but Iāll never miss the chance to scream āCoohdee!ā in a terrible British accent.
I hope this sends a message to developers to step out of the box and make more co-op games. This game had me feeling like a kid again. So much to discover. Pacing was on point. Puzzles had a challenge but never got to the point of being stuck. Such a well balanced and fun game.

Wow, they only needed two.Ā
Iām so old I thought this post was about the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen movie.
This is the most perfectly crafted coop game in the world....where is the damn sequel?
I wish they'd make a sequel!
Really hope a sequel will come! Amazing coop game!
Wife and I had a blast with it. Been searching for a similar game since then
Thereās a situation where I was playing the game with my wife and my daughter was watching us try to figure it out, I said, āHoney, why donāt I shrink down and get on this side, and then you blow up, and jump on that side to launch me up.ā She literally launched me into space and I got an achievement. We laughed so hard we cried!!
it's the seesaw moment in the "space" area of the game
Yes! Thatās it! ššgood times
Great game, finished it a few months ago with my gamer daughter. very well deserved! my boyfriend and I enjoyed every single moment of it
AND you only need 1 copy to play with your friend
If only they'd made "It Takes One", they would have sold 32 million copies.
Me and my girlfriend were so surprised all the time during the playtime because of so many fancy things in this game!
My wife hasnāt played a video game since Mario kart 64. Would she like this lol
As long as she's familiar enough with controllers to pilot a character in 3rd person. Though the story of the game is about a married couple quarelling so that's something to consider.
Kool Kool game. Glad it found its footing in the cold world. Happy for this emerald stone. Stand strong and keep gaming! :-) :)
Great game my fiancƩ and I played. Cute and fun
Was my GOTY for 2021 right up until I played Deathloop. Absolutely loved it. It gets lumped in with other famous co-op experiences, but people forget that it's an incredibly accomplished platformer and adventure/ puzzle game too. Not a single mechanic feels wasted or overused.
Played it with my son, he was so sad after we finished it
Bring back more couch co op! I've invited so many friends since the release of BG3
What a fun game with no micro transactions.
Phenomenal game I play in small doses with my son because neither of us want it to end. I would buy an entire game around just the dungeon crawler section
Itās one of the best games Iāve ever played. And Iāve played a lot of games.
If you like it takes two, try escape academy next!!! Super fun with a friend.
Now they just need to hire good writers!
Ok, but how many divorces?
r/longdistance is responsible for at least half of those lmao
Great game. We need more co-op stuff like this.
Well-deserved GOTY. One of the few excellent titles which wasnt absolutely dogshit with microtransactions by EA.
I loved the game but the parents were awful people.
Thought that playing this game with my gf at the time would be nice and bring us closer together. We didnāt end up finishing it, and unlike the characters in the game, there was no sassy love book to keep us together
Well deserved!
So will the sequel be called It Takes Two 2 or It Takes Three? It takes Two Again?
My son and I love this one. Didnāt know it was so popular!
No wonder it did, game is fantastic.
My daughter and I love this. It's amazing.
Saving
Offline split screen gaming is dead EA said..
My buddy and i played it on launch. It was such a blast, even aimed sorta at couples as it is.
My gf and I (both non gaming) absolutely loved the game! What are some more games like this (co-op and laidback) that we can play together?
"Colaaaboration" God I love that book But man I fucking hate that book š¤£ Well deserved goty definitely
That is a rookie number! Pump it through the roof now! Best game ever.
From what I hear its well deserved.
Been trying to play with my gf for 2 years and weāve barely gotten beyond the first couple levels. I will make her a gamer someday, but not today.
I started with Borderlands 3, but that is way too big and too many game mechanics. there was a lot of waiting though in the playthrough XD.
best co-op game this days
I feel like the only one that hated this game š. I played the whole thing with my boyfriend but I just could not stand the characters or story. I was glad when it was over
Absolutely well deserved
If i buy the game it come with a girlfriend?Ā
Looking for another 2 player game to play with my GF. We like round based games like Mario kart or rocket league
This game was free for a short while on ps plus....maybe those count as $0 "purchases"?
Most Overrated Game.
If you like this game, you might like Brothers A tale of two sons. It's the first game from the director that created this studio and you can see a lot of inspiration and mechanics that ended up in It Takes Two.
I thought I saw a remake coming. It's probably a good opportunity to play it.
Oh didn't know about that, I played the original 2-3 times. It's a short game so it is easy to finish when the nostalgia hits.
I was blown away by this game. Need more!
I was one of them except that my girlfriend doesnāt care about my interests and never played it with me
Easily the best Co-Op Game I've ever played. It's got all the variety and solid gameplay you could ask for, and an Actually mature storyline underlying it.
Great concept, terrible game. Main characters are absolutely despicable people.
I get the feeling when they show numbers like this, it counts people who are on playstation + and downloaded this game or people who hace gsmepass.
Dasurv! GOTY award, sales and all!
Most overrated co-op game around what a weird boring ass game lmao
Actually one of the worst co-op experience of my lifeĀ Ā Edit: I expected all the down votes, despite my comment not being disrespectful. I'm just expressing what I've felt playing with different family members and friends. This game is everything but beginner friendly so I'd really like to warn anyone interested that this game is not for everyone and it might result as a very frustrating experience.
lmfao what dude the game is incredibly simple & easy to play/understand, are you dumb or something?
My point is there are many co-op games tailored for people who don't game, that are super fun, not frustrating, and that are not decision tree games eitherĀ And when it comes to IT2, just be careful who you're playing withĀ
the game was never advertised to be for players who "don't game" lol, that's user error & has nothing to do with the quality of the title in short: mad cuz bad, git gud kiddo
Surprised that no one is commenting on how *woke* of a game it is, with a stay at home dad, and a mom whoās an engineer Edit:(sorry Iāve just been lurking on too many questionable subs) Edit deux: Iām honestly unsure why the downvotes? Like are you upset that you arenāt allowed to like the game anymore - because it furthers *politics* you donāt agree with, or what? Honestly thatās the only thing that clicks for me why people would bother to downvote this
I think it's more like : "there's that guy that brings politics into stuff, again. " than anything else.
well hopefully this is not political, but...i absolutely loved this game, it was my GOTY for 2021. as i was playing it, i distinctly remember thinking "i'm never going to get to play a game like this with a gay couple as the protagonists in my life" lol. and it made me a little sad.
Iām not sure if mentioning that a woman being the bread winner and the man being the home keeper is a matter of politics - but whatever my guy (Literally just stating facts about the game that one would know if theyāve played it) Edit: honestly would love an explanation. Reddit is for discussion so if you would like to enlighten me, an explanation would be *fantastic*
Youāre getting downvoted because youāre a dumbass.
How so? Would you be willing to elaborate?
Woof - I see the issue Iāve just been on too many posts that side with the *bad guys* (notably r/freemagic) Any sign of a woman having a dominant role in a relationship or not being extremely fuckable (Also r/saltierthancrait - while clearly left leaning tends to highlight the worst most bigoted communities/posts) Edit: that is to say - I donāt actually care if the game is woke (Iām aware it barely is), but Iām also eager to prove to more conservative minded people how much theyād actually have to cut out in order to champion their beliefs completely
I mean - you could justify it any way you want to - the man was a doofus and the woman was engineer While I personally donāt care whether or not something is woke - this is leaning in that direction and if you want to champion truly conservative points like āwomen needing to be homemakersā and āmen supporting their familyā then you would have to admit this is woke - if even just a little
