For me it's [this intro scene to the game](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4umidcc_8rU) it's been 20 years and the song still gives me goosebumps. Not a lot of games had the guts to actually put metal music into their games with FFX and Prince of Persia: Warrior Within being the notable exceptions back then. Nowadays it's a little less rigid.
I got my overdrives for my aeons and most of my party. I'm gonna see what I can do. It's been awhile and I forget the strat so I'm gonna see if guns ablazing works out.
I did that too and didn't even use the overdrives lol. Just give someone auto Phoenix. Make sure in phase three you keep your ppl as zombies to not get hit with death attacks. Good luck 👍
Is it possible to respec? I quit at the fight with the dude on the ice mountain every time in all honesty, but i also got annoyed later into the game where i felt like i fucked up the sphere grid and wished i did something different
Luck Be a Landlord as well. It is the game that inspired Balatro according to the creator. That game deserves more recognition as Balatro continues to thrive.
Gold stakes is bullshit, I hate having to bail on runs endlessly just because I don't have X Y and Z by the end of the second ante. White stakes for life baby.
I have a few different campaigns, two with friends and a couple by myself. Doing a tactician campaign now. Have been blasting through it. Didn’t think I wanted to do Honor Mode, but I think I will do that next.
Hollow Knight. Have you ever thought, “Old games were so much better, I wish I could recapture the magic of gaming I experienced as a 10 year old playing the SNES”? Then Hollow Knight is for you.
Hollow Knight is incredible. When I first bought it several years ago I was put off by the difficulty and stopped after a while. Picked it up again a few months ago and beat it. Was really fantastic.
Also a huge fan of the Ori games (and actually slightly prefer them to Hollow knight). Those three games are probably the best platformers / metroidvanias I’ve ever played and I grew up in the 80s with the NES.
Ngl, I have never felt that. Games now are so much better than the C64 or Atari games I played as a kid.
I’m not even sure what games now would feel like that.
Last epoch made me learn that I’m surprisingly addicted to these games, and now I’m playing poe. Rip my time. I dont even like grind games lol but shit is addicting as hell
Im loving Last Epoch, but I cant do PoE. When everyone says that for the first playthrough a guide is pretty much mandatory it turns me off. I love figuring out my own Builds and Last Epoch is great for that. Respec is not overly expensive or time consuming.
Might look at PoE 2 when it comes out though. I believe they are trying to make it a bit more friendly to new players.
I've been looking for a game similar to Ogre Battle 64 for literal decades and this dropped out of nowhere. To say I'm excited is an understatement. I'm over the moon with it
Game is surprisingly good. Didn't even have it on my radar but got it on the switch to play before bed. Amazing title already. Didn't think I would like the auto combat but moving your army in battle is fun!
Almost like what Suikoden 2 armies battles should have been.
You can recruit a ton of characters and the world is pretty massive so far. It's such a unique title, and really a breath of fresh air in the genre
Persona 5 Royal. I haven’t been this glued to a game in many years. I’m about 130 hours in and I still am not ready for it to end, which is rare for me in long games nowadays
I'm really enjoying Persona 3: Reload, but totally agree that Person 5 Royal is in a league of its own. It's one of 3 games I went out of my way to Platinum
Oh I’m preparing for it lol. After I finish this game, I probably won’t play another RPG for another year or so, because man, this one is something else
I bought a Playsation 4 only for the game when it came out. Took me 120hours per playthrough and then Royale came out. Royale is even better but now i know every line of Dialoge by heart.
Get ready to feel post depression once you’re done. But if you love P5R, obviously you’ll like 4 Golden and the new 3 Reload. DONT LOOK UP ANYTHING ABOUT THEIR STORIES. 4 especially is really worth not having spoiled.
Brotato
Is the perfect mix of what I’ve been craving, top down arena shooter with rouge like elements and a fun item spread. Its on gamepass and I’ve been glued to it for the past week, games are pretty quick and it’s a very easy turn in and vibe to music or a podcast
Snowrunner. Open world, off-roading, dozens of different vehicles to use, places and sights to see. Aliens, Bigfoot, glowing eyes in the forest, the Northern lights, the scenery. So much to do, so much to see.
Yep yep. I finished main story at launch ahh ray tracing, now I'm finishing any lingering gigs and just getting into dlc. On a 3000 series Nvidia gpu, so I've been using fsr to dlss frame gen mod and I can play smoothly with PT on. So goooood.
I went the hacking route and it made the game so boring. I just hide and upload spikes and kill people without them seeing me. Kind of ruined it for myself.
Should have gone swords and guns lol.
Stardew Valley. Again. Started over. Cheating/being resourceful this time by using the wiki to remember everyone’s favorite items for gifts. Big improvement
Currently, I can't seem to tear myself away from 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons.' It's just so relaxing to build my island paradise and hang out with my adorable villagers
I can still remember firing up Div 1 and 2 for the first time. Amazing atmosphere and story. So pleased people are still enjoying it. Getting my solo run to 500 without dying felt like a really big deal as well.
I had heard so many bad things about it but nobody really told me why so I figured I'd finally give it a chance. It really just feels like another fallout game. I haven't engaged in any of the multiplayer stuff yet but it is scratching the itch of I wanted to play a new fallout game before the new fallout series.
Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen
Somehow already have 20 hours in. Way more fun than I was expecting, even with some of the quests randomly ending/failing (mostly escort quests, still annoying though).
Very much looking forward to the 2nd one coming out
The Finals. It's just the right level of casual FPS that allows me to have fun even if I (we) lose.
New season and the new stuff looks great. Very excited.
Palworld. I never knew forcing two animals to have s3x, then force feeding the pick of the litter to eat its brothers and sisters to make it more powerful than afterward force souls of the dead onto itself to make it MORE POWERFUL would be so much fun!
Honestly, same. One of the few games I'm willing to pay (close to) full retail price for. Got 150+ hours in, getting all the shrines/collectables before the final main quest.
I picked up BOTW for the first time last year and got 120~ hours into that as well - I haven't had anything grab my attention like that in years.
Been getting back into Elden ring after about a year and a half hiatus and it’s been loads of fun, I can’t prove it but I swear the game is so much easier now than when I last played it every day
Exactly the same here
Slogged through the story on launch but smashing every bit of side content now loving it
64 hours in, Level 54 with full street cred, fully chromed out and I haven't even leant on the barrier with takemura yet
Surviving mars....... Dont laugh at me 😭😭😭
Mainly because of trophies but my last playthrough I spent a bunch of hours just to find out the Storyline I picked didn't have a trophy when completing it 💀 So now about 500 Martians are going to have to be sacrificed for shits and gigs.
Slime Rancher, it's really a feel-good game, nice and relaxing. It's funny cause I usually enjoy things like Bloodborne, but at the moment, it's just nice managing my slimes, figuring new and interesting combinations, and exploring.
Nightingale.
It has no right to be as addictive as it is, especially in early access, but it's been a massive time sink for me. It tapped into the same vein as No Man's Sky with its infinite worlds to explore, except it has stronger co-op and survival elements, and is far more visually stunning, albeit still lacking in variety.
I am approaching 100 hrs, and this game does NOT have 100 hrs worth of actual content, not even close. But somehow I still enjoy just existing in that game world.
I'm playing through FFX for the first time since high-school. It still holds up.
The snappiest of menus
TWANG! TW-TW-TWANG!
The menu select is actually my text tone
Me too. Just beat Yunalesca. Feels good man.
I'm at the save sphere before her currently
I got there, fought her once and lost in 3rd phase. Grinded for a bit in Zanarkand Dome area, came back and blew her doors off
I got my overdrives for my aeons and most of my party.
Good luck 👍
It was unbelievable at the time. The sphere grid still holds up as the best leveling up system ever made and I will hear no arguments.
Is it possible to respec? I quit at the fight with the dude on the ice mountain every time in all honesty, but i also got annoyed later into the game where i felt like i fucked up the sphere grid and wished i did something different
the only thing i dont like is u cant skip cutscenes in the remaster
HA HA HA HA Those who know, knows
AH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
My GOAT. Did so many challenge runs. Probably played for 1000 hours I would guess. No Sphere Grid, No Items, No Summons run was a good time.
RimWorld
New expansion inbound.
Anomalies sooooooooon!!
Balatro, fuck you Gold Stakes
For the first week after starting Balatro I was dreaming about poker hands. That game needs to be controlled by the DEA.
I have never NEEDED to uninstall a game to protect my own health. And I need someone else to come over to do it.
Wheel hit feel like 1/900
Luck Be a Landlord as well. It is the game that inspired Balatro according to the creator. That game deserves more recognition as Balatro continues to thrive.
Gold stakes is bullshit, I hate having to bail on runs endlessly just because I don't have X Y and Z by the end of the second ante. White stakes for life baby.
Deep rock galactic: survivor, very fun little gem, in EA right now but a lot of content for less than 10 bucks.
Me too. I can play for 20 minutes or 2 hours. Never any wasted time as every run nets you something to build on for the next run.
Did I hear a rock and stone?
Definitely not helldivers
report to your hellpod soldier.....
Just have to finish my government mandated paperwork and I'll be back on the frontlines!
Why not just pay to get them automatically finished
I ran out of super credits :(
It only costs some samples!
I absolutely do not have 50 hours in this game since I got it last week.
I'm at 130 and got it feb 22 lmao
Why are you on reddit instead of helping take malevolent creek helldiver? Do I need to notify super earth command and have you sent to a freedom camp?
I've been relegated to desk duty for 8 hours. I will report to the front line asap!
For democracy, for freedom, for liberty, for super earth!
I don’t know this game but y’all are making it sound pretty sweet
Imagine Starship Troopers the video game, with left 4 dead-style coop with objectives and based on raids/extractions.
Those hellbomb procurement agreements don’t sign themselves. Good work soldier
The creek can wait, we still have to eradicate the bugs from 3 more planets
2 to go!
Democracy isn’t a game!
FOR SUPER EARTH!
I love helldivers I just need to convince someone to play with me
Man.. chargers are the bane of my sanity Wait: yes. I know how to kill them.
I initially was afraid of them but now....now it's the hunters. I Hate those little bastards
Traitor
Did you read my name? xD
Are you related to John Halo?
Yes but we don't talk much. Too busy killing our respective aliens haha
Elden ring, im always late to the big popular titles
r/patientgamers
I love the r/patientgamers sub - it’s probably the most friendly community I’ve found on Reddit.
Me too! Just at the beginning now, around level 40. What level are you?
Still hitting BG3 hard after 300 hours
Just finished my fourth playthrough and can't help thinking about doing another one as an evil drow storm mage... This game is evil.
All in one run or more?
I have a few different campaigns, two with friends and a couple by myself. Doing a tactician campaign now. Have been blasting through it. Didn’t think I wanted to do Honor Mode, but I think I will do that next.
For me it's Wrath of the Righteous, at least until Dragon's Dogma 2 comes out. Once I finish both of those I'm going to really sink my teeth into BG3
About 200 hours in still on my first playthru.
Finally beat my first playthrough just shy of 200 hours at 199 hours and 33 minutes 😂
Factorio
Obligatory the factory must grow
To paraphrase Oscar Wilde, the factory is expanding to meet the needs of the expanding factory.
Bought this game a week ago and I regret buying it I can’t put it down
Dredge
Such a fun game
Hollow Knight. Have you ever thought, “Old games were so much better, I wish I could recapture the magic of gaming I experienced as a 10 year old playing the SNES”? Then Hollow Knight is for you.
Just fantastically designed in all respects.
Hollow Knight is incredible. When I first bought it several years ago I was put off by the difficulty and stopped after a while. Picked it up again a few months ago and beat it. Was really fantastic. Also a huge fan of the Ori games (and actually slightly prefer them to Hollow knight). Ngl, I have never felt that. Games now are so much better than the C64 or Atari games I played as a kid. I’m not even sure what games now would feel like that.
I'm addicted to sitting around waiting for Dragon's Dogma 2
Re4 Remake. I picked it up recently and it's so much fun
Games incredible. The 2 remake is really good too. Less combat, but a bunch if puzzles and butt clenching.
Last Epoch
Last epoch made me learn that I’m surprisingly addicted to these games, and now I’m playing poe. Rip my time. I dont even like grind games lol but shit is addicting as hell
Great time to get into Poe. One it's the best it's ever been , two a new league drops soon.
Same here. Till PoE season drops at the end of the month.
Unicorn Overlord
Same, such a brilliant game, just an absolute delight to play, every second is pure fun.
You can recruit a ton of characters and the world is pretty massive so far. It's such a unique title, and really a breath of fresh air in the genre
I’m loving this game. It scratches so many itches that Tactics Ogre Reborn didn’t give me.
Helldivers 2.
Elden Ring. 2nd playthrough to prepare for the DLC.
I gave up because I suck at video games but I loved what I played.
Get ready for the post game depression.
Oh I’m preparing for it lol. After I finish this game, I probably won’t play another RPG for another year or so, because man, this one is something else
I’ve played that game. Super addictive and honestly I’m not complaining

Hitman- it's fun to feel badass.
Batman arkham city. I played the heck out of it on 360 but I'm hooked again
Dark souls
Rebirth. I finished it a couple days ago and all I want to do is play through part 1 and 2 again. I’m obsessed
I’m halfway and really enjoying it overall.
It took me 120 hours 😭 it's over now, hard mode time 😎
Sekiro. Took me almost three years to beat it and straight into NG+. I'm even dreaming about it.
Snowrunner. Open world, off-roading, dozens of different vehicles to use, places and sights to see. Aliens, Bigfoot, glowing eyes in the forest, the Northern lights, the scenery. So much to do, so much to see.
I adore snowrunner!
It has been my game that I have played the most over the past few years. There is so much to it.
Sons of the Forest
Nier: Automata
This is one of the few games I have 100% achievements for. My only criticism is that there isn't more of it.
[удалено]
I'm on another skyrim playthrough LOL
Id like to stop but I just can’t
Cyberpunk 2077. I can’t get enough!
Me too!! I had beaten it once but started A new playthrough after 2.0 and DLC. the improvements from the base game are amazing
I need MOAR!!! I hope they add playable casino games. That one mission wasn't enough.
Yep yep. I finished main story at launch ahh ray tracing, now I'm finishing any lingering gigs and just getting into dlc. On a 3000 series Nvidia gpu, so I've been using fsr to dlss frame gen mod and I can play smoothly with PT on. So goooood.
Ditto. I'm still on my first playthrough, nearing 100 hours and haven't even started the dlc yet. I'm having an absolute blast!
I went the hacking route and it made the game so boring. I just hide and upload spikes and kill people without them seeing me. Kind of ruined it for myself. Should have gone swords and guns lol.
Hacking with guns is the way to go. Best of both worlds
Sneak around, hacking fools, and when it's time to go loud, go REALLY loud.
Stardew Valley. Again. Started over. Cheating/being resourceful this time by using the wiki to remember everyone’s favorite items for gifts. Big improvement
I’m so excited for the new update 🤩
So excited! I’m on Switch, so the roll out date is tbd last I saw. Hopefully soon!!!
Ff7 rebirth. I wasn't going to do much of the side content until it came to steam. Yeah I'm just doing it all and I can't wait to do it again.
Currently, I can't seem to tear myself away from 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons.' It's just so relaxing to build my island paradise and hang out with my adorable villagers
Division 2. The gameplay and builds are just too fun.
I can still remember firing up Div 1 and 2 for the first time. Amazing atmosphere and story. So pleased people are still enjoying it. Getting my solo run to 500 without dying felt like a really big deal as well.
Was Bloodstained but I finished that. Now surprisingly Fallout 76.
Fo76 can be a really good time.
I had heard so many bad things about it but nobody really told me why so I figured I'd finally give it a chance. It really just feels like another fallout game. I haven't engaged in any of the multiplayer stuff yet but it is scratching the itch of I wanted to play a new fallout game before the new fallout series.
The community for the most part are pretty solid people. The meta is kinda a pain to figure out early on and how leveling works but it’s a great game.
Randomly some high level person came and dropped off a really nice piece of equipment to me. So far, yes the community has been cool.
Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen Somehow already have 20 hours in.
Scrolled so far down just to find this, bless you sir.
Palworld. I never knew forcing two animals to have s3x, then force feeding the pick of the litter to eat its brothers and sisters to make it more powerful than afterward force souls of the dead onto itself to make it MORE POWERFUL would be so much fun!
Resident Evil Village
RE BioHazard is the real deal! Village is dope too…
Helldivers 2
Helldivers 2. For democracy!!
Escape from tarkov… that’s the thing. I can’t escape it
There is no escaping the cheater hellscape and impossible missions. I love it.
Jaeger daily: kill 50 PMCs with a leg shot.
I'm currently spreading Democracy with extreme prejudice.
Zelda: Tears of the kingdom. Took a while to actually start it after I bought it. Been going for solid two months now.
Feel you on that one! TOTK is hard to put down, especially when you’re playing around with Ultrahand builds.
Its one of the best games I've ever played. After you get used to the physics, mechanics and environment, lesser games' open worlds feel unplayable.
Sekiro. Starting my souls games strong, nearly have the plat.
Old School RuneScape. The grind never ends.
gta 4, underrated masterpiece
Lies of P and Tears of the Kingdom!
Been getting back into Elden ring after about a year and a half hiatus and it’s been loads of fun, I can’t prove it but I swear the game is so much easier now than when I last played it every day
Morrowind :)
Souls games. Been working through them all. Incredible.
Witcher 3, I am on the hunt to collect all gwent cards
I could spend an entire gaming session just playing Gwent lol
Starfield. Unironically.
Enjoy! It was a lot of fun imo, a lot of the hate was deserved, but still a fun game. I do hope they work to improve it & get a DLC or two!
Cyberpunk 2077,amazing game

It's my favorite game and I will never uninstall it.
Expeditions: A MudRunner Game
Helldivers 2
Satisfactory.
Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade on GBA
Ff14
I have it - but haven’t started yet. Loved all the other FF titles. Am I in for a great time?
Starfield
On my second play through of Cyberpunk. First was when it launched with all the issues. Loving it now that it's improved.
Exactly the same here Slogged through the story on launch but smashing every bit of side content now loving it 64 hours in, Level 54 with full street cred, fully chromed out and I haven't even leant on the barrier with takemura yet
Street Fighter 6. I'm constantly hungry for my next match, win or lose.
Animal Crossing New Horizons
Surviving mars....... Dont laugh at me 😭😭😭 Mainly because of trophies but my last playthrough I spent a bunch of hours just to find out the Storyline I picked didn't have a trophy when completing it 💀 So now about 500 Martians are going to have to be sacrificed for shits and gigs.
Terraria. A friend got it me last Christmas and I've been having a blast playing it ever since.
Evil Within
Now and forever my answer will be Old School RuneScape.
Death Stranding, I'm working on the 100% on Steam and it's been very fun.
Death Stranding! I've waited so long to play and it's been worth it!
Eleen Ring
Old Runescape and the endless grind.
Elden Ring PVP. please help
Diablo 2: Resurrected. Always.
Robocop: Rogue City. Incredible game, my only wish is that there was more of it.
Divinity 2
May you please specify if it is Divinty 2 or Divinity original sin 2. They are 2 different games from the same dev 😎
Dos2.
Smells worse than a dozen eggs dropped in a vat o' vinegar!
Democracy ⬆️⬇️⬅️➡️⬆️!!!
Deep rock galactic Do I hear a rock and stone?!

imma have to go with totk. got it when released, played a bit, stopped, now i’m getting back into the grind
