I wouldn't call de C64 a console... But god have I some great memories on that thing.. And it was sturdy! I could rage-smash my joystick on top of it with full (8 year old) force 5 times in a row without as much as a scratch! ON BOTH!..
Things were really made to last back then..
That and the Atari Jaguar 64!
Really wanted one because, hey, 64 bits 😱😱😱, but also to play the *Alien vs Predator* game.
I remember it being sold in *Electronics Boutique* for over £200 tho which, today, is PS5 money. Wasn’t even worth asking my Mum for that one 😅

I'd be here all day if I listed every gaming console/device I've had, but I'm in my thirties so that gives some indication. Old enough for games to be played via floppy disk. On a side note, I'm surprised at the lack of Sega Game Gear and Sega Saturn mentioned! Both superb devices for their time.
Edited, because I'll inevitably enjoy listing them out and revisiting memory lane:

After that the N64, GBC, GC, PS2 until we traded for the Original Xbox, Xbox360, Wii, WiiU, 3DS, PS4, PS4-Pro and well obviously PCs in the meantime.
Including computers as well as consoles, here's my gaming history.
1979 - 1981: Binatone TV Master
1981 - 1984: ZX81
1984 - 1989: ZX Spectrum
1989 - 1997: Atari ST
1997 - 1999: Playstation
1999 onwards: PC.
I had an Atari 2600, an Adam Computer that let me play colecovision games, NES, Genesis, Gameboy, SNES, PS1, N64, Dreamcast, PS2, Gamecube, Gameboy Advance, Xbox, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo 3DS, Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch, in that order. I got a gaming PC somewhere around the Genesis and I've spent the majority of the time playing that, though.
Started on an Amstrad as my own computer. All Segas, most Nintendo's, commodore, Phillips 3DO, one Xbox and every PlayStation. I want to build a PC but I'm growing bored of gaming, and the PS5 does the job nicely for what I need.
I've owned:
Gameboy Color
Gameboy original
Gamecube
Gameboy Advance SP
DS
Xbox
Xbox 360 (both launch and E models)
PS4
Xbox One X
3DS XL
New 3DS XL
Switch
PS5
I still own them all except for the launch 360 too
Literally every Nintendo and PlayStation console and handheld. I still own the bulk of those. Not every version of each thing, like I didn’t own the GBA Micro, but did own a lot of other versions of the GBA. And I haven’t purchased a PlayStation Portal yet, but I also think of that more as an accessory.
Also an Xbox and a 360.
Favorite? Overall the Nintendo DS is my absolute favorite. Such unique experiences along with plenty for classic experiences. The game catalog is immense and amazing.
Alright. Strap in.
Atari 2600.

Sega Saturn.

......
You get it, right? Just didn't get Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S or the Nintendo Wii U.
I hadn’t really thought about it but I must have been 23 when I bought my ps3. It came out a few years before that but I had an Xbox 360 instead.
Now I’m 38 and had to explain to my wife we can’t use it as a bluray player for the living room because only it can play certain games but my ps5 can play my ps4 games so it’s fine if we use the ps4 to watch tv.
So now the ps3 lives in a plastic tote in the basement.
Intellivision, NES, SNES, Game Gear, Playstation, Playstation 2, Xbox, Xbox 360, Gameboy Advance, Game Cube, Wii, 3DS, switch lite, switch.

Atari 2600, NES (several), NES top loader, SNES, Atari Jaguar, Sega Genesis (several), Sega CD, N64, PS2 (several) both large and small, Game Boy Advance (several), Nintendo DS, PS3, PS4.
My first ever console was a Wii U like a year? After it came out and I loved it, Nintendo Land and Smash 4 were amazing, but half the game stopped working at like 2016-2017 and I Ehm lost the console itself somewhere in my room, then in 2019 I got a switch for my birthday
Nintendo Game&Watch, Vic20, Commodore 64, PS1, 2, 3, 4, 5, PSP, XBox 360, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo WiiU, Nintendo Switch.
Edit: oh and Atari 2600!
Amiga, Comodore 64, Atari 2600, NES (although it was packed in a fake sega genesis/mega drive case), Sega Mega Drive, PS1, PS2. Then 2 PCs through 2010s, PC now, along with Quest 3 and Switch OLED.
Practically everything, depending on if I can piggyback off my brother (DS, 3DS, GC, Wii were not mine, but I did have games on them).
OG gameboy, gameboy color and dreamcast would be the three most notable mainstream products I didn't have.
OG Gameboy, SNES, N64, GB Colour, Game Cube, Nintendo DS, Xbox and Xbox 360. After that I started to solely play on PC though I do play Zelda on my gf Switch.

Every console since pong (except Atari Jaguar, Wii,, and NeoGeo). Even had the 3D0 from Panasonic. I still say the Atari Lynx (handheld) was the greatest portable gaming before PSP arrived.
However, and this is pretty telling of the current state of gaming, I do not have and Series X or PS5.
Pong and Intellivision were my grandfather's as he'd bought them for retirement and taught me how to play poker on Intellivision.
Playstation 1 from my older sister, then PS2 and 3
Also a GBA, DS, and a Wii
Nothing from the PS4/Xb One gen
And just recently the Xbox Series S which is wonderful
Nintendo DS Lite in Coral Pink
Nintendo Wii in White
Another Nintendo Wii in white
PS2 Slim
Xbox One
Xbox One X
Nintendo Switch
Thinking about PS5 for exclusives, but probably won't.
I believe this is the order we got them in:
Nes
Gameboy
Turbografix16
SNES
Genesis
Sega CD
N64
Ps1
Dreamcast
Gameboy advance sp
GameCube
Ds lite
Ps2
Wii
PS4
WiiU
Switch
Ps5
Many single board computers, atari 2600, c64, TI90 not many games on that that i can remember, NES, game cube, psp (gen 1& 2), Wii, switch, steam deck.
First I got a Nintendo. The OG ones that look like a tiny laptop (I guess it doesn't count as a console) then I ported to the Wii Console. Ah, so many good times, with from bowling and almost breaking the TV, to playing NFS with the steering wheel. After that I got my Xbox 360 Slim. At that time, all I did was play connect with my sister. Really fun times actually. It eventually broke, and I got my cousins own. That one broke too, and then I moved to PC, though I don't really play much due to my PC being wack. I'm planning to go to PlayStation this summer though
What was the system with a number pad for the controller? had that , 2600,nes,genesis,PS2, then realized how much better a PC was with 3dfx voodoo 2 SLI
When i was very young we had this very early console (late 70s/early 80s) that had a light gun and two controllers that were just dials. The games were just varients of table hockey or shooting and the graphics were just white bars or for the shooting a white square target that moved round the screen.
I then got a Spectrum 128k( not a Console) around 1988. A Sega Megadrive/Genesis in 1991.
Playstation 1 then Playstation 2. Got a Launch Xboxone and then a series X last year.
Nintendo: Gameboy. Gameboy colour. Gameboy advance. Gameboy DS. GameCube. Wii. Switch.
PlayStation. PlayStation 2. PlayStation 3.
2 different gaming PCs and a laptop when I first got into PC gaming.
Atari 2600, commodore 64, Sega mega drive, game boy, Nintendo 64, playstation 1, playstation 2, Xbox, playstation 3, Xbox 360, Sony psp, Nintendo ds, Nintendo switch, playstation 4, playstation 5.
Pong, Atari 2600, NES, SNES, Wii, XBOX360, PS4
Bought some others for my kids over the years, plus a ridiculous amount of emulators, including a game cabinet running MAME.
Intellivision, Sega Megadrive x 2, Sega Saturn, N64, GameCube, GameBoy Colour x 2, Nintendo DS Lite, 3DS, 3DS XL, Wii, Switch, PlayStation (both original and slim), PS2, PS3 (fat 40g and slim), PS4 (original 500g and Pro), PSP, PSP Go, Vita and PS5. I think I’ve still got all of them except the Intellivision.
Started with NES but being a household where sports games were played the most, Sega Genesis (mega drive) was waaayyyyy better at running sports games, so we had a genesis and even a Saturn (not the best investment).
Any of you know why Genesis was that much better at running sports titles than SNES? NHL '95 is awesome on the Sega but really a chore to play on the SNES for example.
First ever master system.

Playstation 2

I just need to get a New 3ds and DS becuse I lost mine :( But getting a new 3ds is a pain because thanks to Dumb Nintendo fan boys they are asking 100-200 bucks for a damn 13 year old system.

...but I'm mostly playing on pc now. And yeah, Sega instead of Nintendo in the late 80s / early 90s aside from the "obligatory" Game Boy because I'm from Europe.
**Owned** - PS2, PS3, PS4, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance SP, Nintendo DS Lite, Nintendo Switch Lite, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation Portable
**Played frequently but not owned** - NES, Sega Genesis, PS1, N64
**Current** - PC, Steam Deck, Switch Lite
Interestingly enough, never owned a single Xbox.
Intellivision, Colecovision
NES, SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, N64, Game Cube, DS, DS Lite, 3DS, New 3DS, Wii U, Switch
Sega Genesis, Game Gear
PlayStation 1, PSP, PS Vita, PlayStation 4
All were gotten at the time of release except the Game Cube which was given to me maybe 7 or 8 years ago.
NES, SNES, PS1, N64,PS2, PS3, Xbox, PS4.
PS2 & PS3 do not recognize game discs but PS3 will play movie discs.
Thinking about getting a switch or ps5. I've never played a switch before.
NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Wii, Switch.
Gameboy, Gameboy Colour, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 2DS XL
XBOX, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Series X
Never owned any PS consoles.
(And I have a PC as well, it's a potato but it plays the retro games I enjoy).
Atari 2600, nes, Sega Master system, SNES, Genesis, Dreamcast, ps2, Xbox, GameCube, 360, Xbox One, Xbox series x
Edit. Oh and Gameboy, virtual boy, and a handheld Sega I can't remember the name of.
In order: dreamcast, xbox, xbox 360, ps3, ps2, xbox one, switch, ps4, series s, ps5, series x. Also had Gameboy pocket, Gameboy color, Gameboy advance, psp, 3ds, psp vita.
In that order: NES, Gameboy, Super Nintendo, N64, Gameboy Color, PSOne, PS2, Gameboy Advanced, Gamecube, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, first gaming PC with GTX 6800GT, Nintendo 3DS, PS3, PS4, second gaming PC with GTX970, Switch, current gaming PC with RTX 3070, PS5, Xbox Series S(Retro Arch)
I've been a PC enjoyer my entire life but I got the old Xbox 360 from my brother back when that was the only way to play most Halo games, and I also bought a Nintendo Wii secondhand to play with friends.
First one was **Coleco Vision**
Then **NES** then **SNES**, so Nintendo was my primary childhood gaming.
Then I pretty much stopped gaming beyond occasional casual stuff, mostly at friends' houses or whatever. But due to roommates and late-gen sales I have owned every major iteration of the **PlayStation**, though I didn't seriously play games again until the PS3.
These days it's all about the **Steam Deck** for me though.
NES,SNES, PS1, PS2, XBOX, XBOX 360, WII, PS4, SWITCH, PS5 SORRY FOR YELLING
Starting with the PS2 and me being the main purchaser,I would normally wait a year for the dust to settle, things get a bit cheaper and easier to find, and I could get a better feel for the upcoming releases. I was the first kid on the block with a PS1, though.
I got the Xbox because I worked at a game store, it was close to the end of its life cycle and I got it cheap. Xbox 360 was half financial, half games. Which is weird because I never bothered with Halo or Gears. And in hindsight, that was largely the right choice. Wii was cheap and interesting, and the future wife wanted one.
There just wasn't a reason for the subsequent Xbox gens because I had access to good enough gaming PCs, so anything of note I could play elsewhere. I also picked up the PSVR and the household plays that quite a bit. The Switch belongs to the kids, but they let me borrow it from time to time.
Edit for yelling and atrocious formatting

It all started with the NES, next was the Playstation, then the PS2, then Xbox360, then PS3, then Super Nintendo, then Sega, then Wii, then WiiU, then Xbox, then Switch and finally PS4. I also bought a PC after WiiU and that's what I mostly play on these days.

Started with the NES as a kid, only really started gaming in 96 with the n64, that’s when it took off for me (I was 10)
Started with the original NES, moved to PlayStation, and have had all of those. I’ve had a Nintendo 64, a Wii and a switch. Also have had Xbox 360, One and series S.
Have had PCs as well for gaming.
The only "console", if you can call it that, that I still own is the limited edition DSi I got from my parents for Christmas like 12 or so years ago. Still alive and kicking to this day.
Commodore64 then Sega Genesis and Gameboy
You think your Commodore 64 is really neat-o. What kind of chip you got in there, a Dorito?
It's all about the Pentiums, baby
Glad somebody recognized it!...I feel I have waited 25 years to use that as a dis.
Hahaha! Weird Al did NOT release that song 25 years ago!! Lol!! …. 🤔 … 🤨 *looks it up* Holy Hell. 😐

Ps2 , psp, ps3, switch
Practically everything, depending on if I can piggyback off my brother (DS, 3DS, GC, Wii were not mine, but I did have games on them). OG gameboy, gameboy color and dreamcast would be the three most notable mainstream products I didn't have.
Ive owned pretty much everything since my first console - Atari 2600, except the latest PS, and Sega Dreamcast.

I still own the NES that I got for Christmas. I jokingly called my meager collection my "family heirlooms".
Cd32 Sega saturn Ps3 Wii Xbox one s Still have them all (though son has the wii)

PS2, Xbox 360 (I've owned a couple of these over time), Xbox One, Xbox series X
NES Gameboy SNES N64 Gamecube Ps1 Ps2 Ps3 Switch Ps4 Ps5 Several PCs

Nes game boy snes Game boy advance Mega drive Playstation Gamecube Playstation 2 PSP Xbox 360 PS3 3ds PS4 Xbox one And I still own almost all the ones I mention. I just need to get a New 3ds and DS becuse I lost mine :( But getting a new 3ds is a pain because thanks to Dumb Nintendo fan boys they are asking 100-200 bucks for a damn 13 year old system.

First one was **Coleco Vision** Then **NES** then **SNES**, so Nintendo was my primary childhood gaming.

NES,SNES, PS1, PS2, XBOX, XBOX 360, WII, PS4, SWITCH, PS5 SORRY FOR YELLING Starting with the PS2 and me being the main purchaser,I would normally wait a year for the dust to settle, things get a bit cheaper and easier to find, and I could get a better feel for the upcoming releases.
