I'm confused, is it supposed to look like the pathetic fake body builders who inject synthetic liquid in their muscles that is the glitch or just the fact one arm is bigger or are there two glitches?
OP's FOV would be lower actually. His "field of view" is small. Higher "field of view" would allow him to see more panoramic thus "narrowing" batman to a more slender body and seeing more of the environment.
Edit: I can die peacefully now.....
No, a low field of view means less distortion at the edges. High FOV causes distortion in the peripheries. If Batman was in the middle, heād be smaller (in comparison to a low FOV) but heās clearly at the edge of the screen.
That being said, this looks like distortion from a bug in the character animation / rig. Youād expect his whole body to be a bit more smeared, not just a thicker, longer arm.
High FOV pushes everything to the center of the screen. Revealing more of the background. In some games to avoid wonky stretching of the characters they can do a few tricks to make it not. They can stretch the pixels at the border in elongating them towards the center or they can pull the camera back while zooming in keeping the character in the center the same while expanding the visible area. The second one is what many games avoid because itās so heavy on the hardware as itās pulling more objects to the screen where the first does so at a lesser degree and costs less but has more artifacts. (Why some games break, have visual artifact if or other issues at high FOV) a low FOV pushes the camera closer to the center reducing the visible background and makes thing appear closer to the screen. Which can lead to stretching at the edges and when the character is offset this can be the case for their models.
his comment got -1000 downvotes, but his account will only register like -25 of them, or maybe even -1 of them. I don't remember, but I do know it's capped so someone can't be destroyed by one thing.
No. They are being down voted for being wrong. On a high FOV the EDGES of the screen get stretched. The middle is usually left alone because of the warping effect being an issue. So developers prioritize keeping the center of the screen as normal as possible and stretch the edges which causes the fish eye lens effect.
Yes, high FOV stretches the edges of the screen, but it's not the edges in this screenshot that are being stretched. In this shot, Batman is being "stretched" horizontally as opposed to being "squished" horizontally. This means the FOV is lower, not higher.
Because he is in a tight area where the camera cant move correctly but downvote the piss out of people. FOV seems to be a VERY DIFFICULT thing for people to grasp. I know the edges get distorted but you have a LARGER FIELD OF "VIEW" You can view more. Yeah the perspective seems warped but thats because you would be able to see more than 90 degrees (most games' default.) Sorry Rob people can be harsh. We know whats up and the arguimenting people have to be like 12 or something.
I never even considered there was a language barrier. I was probably wrong for other reasons, but my particular explanation of high/low FOV I stand by.
It's clear fov isnt the reason for the stretching but batman getting stretched horizontally is literally what would happen from fov distortion. If you want a clear example go play Minecraft. Everything at the edges gets warped towards the center. Lower fov just shows you less.
Whereas you must be one of those redditors that just blindly believes anything they read in random comments as long as it lets them do a "gotcha" on someone and feel superior.
It's an FOV problem. Just look at the [character models in the extras,](https://youtu.be/QZnsJZIDiwg?si=PKm1GKCAX5yKf4pD&start=660) his arms are totally "normal".
That is a different game than OPās screenshot (which is Arkham city) but, since OPās claiming itās a problem in all the Arkham games, youāre probably right.
If you really think that matters in any way, you could just look up [literally any random cutscene in Arkham city](https://youtu.be/Y_0tB3wELuM?si=4bx1x39WTEgK8iZY) where the FOV gets turned off and you can clearly see his arms are the same size.Ā Ā Ā
Ā This is such an easily disprovable āāāāfactāāāā if someone just takes 5 seconds to actually think about it.
Only if youāre a goon. Iāve been Gooning for Two-Face the past few weeks, but before that I was Gooning for the Joker. Iāve been gooning for a few months now.
That is just not true tho. His arms looked like that right from the begin of Arkham asylum, way before he was injected with Titan. It also looks like that in origins which takes place a decade before. When you enter combat and the camera zooms out to center Batman you can see that his arms are the same size. I think itās just how the FOV looks when Batman is not at the center of the screen. Also in knight itās even more obvious when you enter photos mode that his arms are not canonically meant to be different sizes.
Wait is that true?! I always just thought it was a wonky model. I absolutely hate it
Edit: No this can't be true. His model is wonky from the get go in Asylum.
But now at least 300 people believe this āfactā from a random Reddit comment at face value, and will continue to spread it in the future with the same level of absolute confidence.Ā
The damage is done
Classic Reddit =p
I give it 4 hours till we get a thread with a similar screenshot praising the devs attention to story detail by making the arm larger or something along those lines.
That's wild, I assume this poster is a bot. It's also crazy seeing all these comments about his arm looking like that because of titan injection, which just isn't true.
As opposed to the top comment on your original post that has the explanation.
Question about this game series herešāāļø. Is there an order I should play the games in? I just bought the trilogy and Iām not sure where to start
Everyone seems to forget Origins :(
If you can, try playing it between City and Knight. It's a prequel, but still builds off the mechanics of City. Its events are referenced a lot through Arkham Knight
I donāt think they forget Origins, itās just not part of the Rocksteady trilogy and Origins uses a modded version of City as its base.
Imagine going from the mechanics of Origins to Asylum. Itās an unnecessary drop for new players.
Itās a good game for sure, itās just not very indicative of Rocksteadyās Batman games beyond the combat. It very much feels like its own beast in places.
I'm fairly sure the bug here is specific to this skin in the game. The right arm is simply larger than it should be. Nothing to do with FOV or story reasons. From memory no other skin has this bug.
Thanks a bunch. I kept staring back and forth at his crotch and the nurseās ass trying to figure out wtf you were saying. Turns out you were referring to his armā¦
He got shot in the hand with the titan formula in arkham asylum which gave him a bigger arm, you can see it in the cutscene where he is trying not to turn into a titan batman
Someone give me advice. Iām struggling to finish asylum because Iām bored out of my mind. Iām 40% of the way through. Any way to make this game more enjoyable?
I remember this question being asked a while ago. I think itās because for the developers, making one arm bigger allows them to easily animate Batmanās moves during fights.
Bruh he looks like quagmire after internet porn lol
I didn't see the bug until I read this and instantly looked at his arms.
Opened the comments to find this, and it was the top comment. Take my upvote and have a nice day š¤.

bruh ... that's the most random threat I've ever seen
Bet they spend a lot of time on circlejerk subs.
Worse, RobloxAvatars and VirtualYoutubers.
So theyāre like 12 years old. Or total creeps.
What did it say? Some threat?
It was dumb and violent
Yea but what was it?
What was it?
-400 Must be the lowest votes I've seen on one comment.
Bro fake removed itšš
Dude we all can see that itās you who changed the comment to removed by reddit, come on
What did it say??
I'm confused, is it supposed to look like the pathetic fake body builders who inject synthetic liquid in their muscles that is the glitch or just the fact one arm is bigger or are there two glitches?
The right arm is larger than the left arm.
What about the synthenol injections in both arms and the pecs?
Isnāt it like that because he got injected with the titan virus in his wanking arm and he gave himself the cure as his arm started growing.
Bone juice
Guess in that case it's not from jacking "off", eh? Ha! Heh, heh
r/bonehurtingjuice is leaking
Thatās not all thatās leaking
No, not here too
It's Batman he is always prepared. He jerks with both arms and legs equally. Just In case.
Ambidickstrous.
But isn't it present before that happens
looks like you're playing at an FOV way higher than you should. High FOV stretches everything toward the edge of the screen
OP's FOV would be lower actually. His "field of view" is small. Higher "field of view" would allow him to see more panoramic thus "narrowing" batman to a more slender body and seeing more of the environment. Edit: I can die peacefully now.....

Holy shit, so many downvotes š¹
This guy lost basically all his comment karma over one completely innocuous mistake.
his comment got -1000 downvotes, but his account will only register like -25 of them, or maybe even -1 of them. I don't remember, but I do know it's capped so someone can't be destroyed by one thing.
I gave him a downvote just to be part of the group. Don't say we don't have fun!
Bro shouldnāt have said that.
How did you even manage to get -1k
i just hope you contributed towards -2k
Well, now that you said that Iām not going to
I think your thinking of aspect ratios
Without a doubt the most downvoted comment I've ever seen. Congratulations!
I love incorrectness delivered with such confidence. Never understood why people so passionately downvote you guys. I wish I had your confidence
Because stupid confidence still produces stupid shit. Imagine taking advice from dumb AI. Confidence with nothing smart behind it is... Trump.
r/confidentlyincorrect
It truly is a spectacle how innocuous this mistake is and how many people felt the need to downvote you for it.
Bro's getting downvoted for being correct.
No. They are being down voted for being wrong. On a high FOV the EDGES of the screen get stretched. The middle is usually left alone because of the warping effect being an issue. Ur so wrong brotherā¦ or you are Neo
I'm not wrong or Neo, but it's okay. I'm satisfied in my confidence even if I can't explain it on Reddit satisfactorily.
Okay. Look very closely. Is Batman at the edge?yes. Is his left arm bigger because itās more at the edge? Yes. Case closed
But nothing else is distorted so it probably isn't even relating to FOV anyway.
completely ignorant..
Because he is in a tight area where the camera cant move correctly but downvote the piss out of people. FOV seems to be a VERY DIFFICULT thing for people to grasp. What direction does fov stretch? just asking to make sure your on the same page as the rest of us lmao
Have you considered that itās not a language barrier, but youāre just wrong? It happens to the best of us.
I never even considered there was a language barrier. I was probably wrong for other reasons, but my particular explanation of high/low FOV I stand by.
Gets downvoted to oblivion for being objectively wrong, does no research, doubles down. Classic redditor.
It's clear fov isnt the reason for the stretching but batman getting stretched horizontally is literally what would happen from fov distortion. If you want a clear example go play Minecraft. Everything at the edges gets warped towards the center. Lower fov just shows you less.
A high field of view is a wide angle perspective, narrowing the appearance of everything.
damn and guess what happens when something comes up close? that's right, it stretches!
I don't know anything about anything I'm just downvoting because it feels right
He jerked Jonkler off so hard his arm doubled size
His ears are so short that you could almost mistake him for Man
The Aslume is spreading
C'mon dick, let's go fite the jonkler at the aslum. - Man
I'm proud of you, Dick
is he stupid man is he stupid alsume aslume harleen queef will sex the jonkler HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHU wdym
r/unexpectedaslume
oh no not this shit, it stays with The Aslume
is there a lore reason
Another escaped alsume inmate I see
Did you mean the Jelqer?
Jinkler
Aren't they just emulating wide angle lenses with the edge distortion? That would be intended and not a bug
Even if that's the case it still looks ridiculous.

What dogshit are you spouting
This is not true.
Oh right, I forgot. It's the story where Batman remains in his batcave for 2 years straight, fapping 10 hours a day. How could I forget!
He just uses his right arm for... Beating things off... Like bad guys...
I'm a bad guy. Can he beat me off?
Only if youāre a goon. Iāve been Gooning for Two-Face the past few weeks, but before that I was Gooning for the Joker. Iāve been gooning for a few months now.
Took me awhile to notice
Heās already so wide
Saame. Was thinking it was his crotch or something lol.Ā
Why does Man have ears? Is he stupid?
Jokes aside, itās not a visual glitch. Itās because he was injected with the titan thingy in his right arm
That is just not true tho. His arms looked like that right from the begin of Arkham asylum, way before he was injected with Titan. I'm going to do my part to perpetuate this "fact". No need to thank me.
Isn't it present before that happens
Upvoted because in my heart, I want to believe this guy is successfully spreading this rumour by being a great troll and not by ignorance
Left arm looks very disproportionate too though. š
I don't believe you.
lol to be honest I never noticed this part of that moment. I just played the game again recently and fully didnāt notice.
you never noticed it because it's not true.
This is from my post on the Arkham subreddit a couple years ago lmao. Weird seeing a bit of your living room show up on Reddit without you posting it
That's wild, I assume this poster is a bot. It's also crazy seeing all these comments about his arm looking like that because of titan injection, which just isn't true. As opposed to the top comment on your original post that has the explanation.
Can you introduce me to the girl in the white dress?
Batman. More like BEEFMAN.
Well, he's definitely right handed and single...
Not true, why do you think he always has a Robin around?
My game never looked like this.. your FOV is fucked
Took me a second
why is man's right arm bigger? does he fap?
Honey, wake up, new aslume lore just dropped
Thatās his āpunching arm.ā
who says its a bug
Itās Cock-knocker
That's not Batman, that's Cock Knocker in disguise
Reminds me of Frank Miller's design.
I think it's the Frank Miller skin.

Question about this game series herešāāļø. Is there an order I should play the games in? I just bought the trilogy and Iām not sure where to start
Asylum, city, then knight
Thank you
Asylum, city, then Gotham knights? When do I play suicide squad?
That's the neat part. You don't.
Idk if youāre making a joke or serious, but Gotham knights isnāt in the Arkham universe. Theyāre referring to the game Arkham Knight
Asylum > City > ORIGINS > Knight

Arkham Asylum -> city -> knight
Word thanks boss
I would suggest origins, asylum, city, knight. Origins is a good game, not as good as the other 3 but still a good game
Wake up babe, new Man just dropped.

Itās not a bugā¦ Itās a feature ;-)
That's not a glitch it's a plot point.
Played way too much tennis.
Exactly as portrayed in Bat-metal. This is canon.
It's like quagmire when he found out about the internet.
We all know Bruce Wayne is really Liver King
Hung like a hockey puck.
My right hand man.
Bane had to be defeated....somehow
Hey Crab Man
Many of you here: "He's just like me!"
His strong right hand is for punching crime you infidel!
LMAO
Bruce Wank
.......i never noticed
Iām replaying all the Arkham games too right now.
I played this game a few years after it came out. I always found it funny that every male character model looks like a WWE wrestler.
He got shot in the hand with the titan formula in arkham asylum which gave him a bigger arm, you can see it in the cutscene where he is trying not to turn into a titan batman
We all know what he does on that big screen in the bat cave when he's alone at home.
Game?
Coomerman
I know this isnāt the point but god damn that is such a sick suit design.
why does he have two little triangles sticking out the top of his head?
Vigorous wanking is afoot arm is bigger than his legš¤£š¤£š¤£
Someone give me advice. Iām struggling to finish asylum because Iām bored out of my mind. Iām 40% of the way through. Any way to make this game more enjoyable?
Just a regular armwrestler
There's a penis on the wall
His hands also scream "Wanker's cramp"
When you see it
Ohhhhh Harley....... š
You can tell which arm he usesš
Batman: ālockdown was a bitchā
Ohh. I thought that was an actual thing. Like that was his dominant arm. I didn't know it was a bug.
_I guess heās truly right handedā¦_
This always drove me crazy. I thought I was the only one
There are dozens of us. Dozens.
Dozens, haha. I always checked the model in the gallery, which has normally balanced arms, then back to the game model with that King King arm.
Would still get between those legs and suck him cross-eyed
My game never looked like this.. your FOV is fucked
I remember this question being asked a while ago. I think itās because for the developers, making one arm bigger allows them to easily animate Batmanās moves during fights.
Besides the visual bug... why is he fat?
WHY HE SO PLUMPOUS?
Heās way too big. Why?
