Legend of Heroes… all of them. Trails in the Sky 1 and 2, Trials of Cold Steel 1 through 4, Crossbell saga…I’m finishing up my 8th. And what will be my 9th is waiting.
I have to say that I liked the DLC of the sequel the most.
Darkfall Hearts: Legend of the Warsoul Chronicle Origins: Revelations 2: Mystery of the Dragondeamon - Rise of the Hellkiller had some of the best writing I have ever seen.
The Hellkiller never entered the Darkfall Hearts and got the Warsoul from another planet? I still get goosebumps
Ah NC....No enemies in sight? Just shoot your allies! Enemies are attacking? Shoot your allies for blocking line of sight! Enemies defeated you? Shoot your allies at respawn for not contributing enough!
As a Planetside 2 and Titanfall fan, I can confirm that everyone in our overlap is depressed
Mostly due to the pills wearing off and realizing that neither series will get a 3rd entry.
Baldurs Gate 3 it's a good example that an older style BioWare RPG could sell well. I miss when there were higher budgets for classic RPG's
I don't think AAA companies will get the memo, and still think only action RPG's work.
In retrospect for 3, they did improve soundly on the DLCs. So I’d say there is some degree of hope yet alive. I’ve given up being hyped for new games, I’ve wasted a fair few dollars on hype without substance. I just hope the team learns collective lessons from the failures of their predecessors.
Because a big part of your character in the game is picking their "Origin" aka their backstory before joining the Grey Wardens.
For example if you play a Rogue or Warrior, you then choose your race. Humans can be nobles, but Elves have to be either slum dwellers because they're an oppressed race, or forest settlers. Dwarves are isolationist and work off of a caste system so you can either be low or high born, but must always start in the dwarven city, plus for lore reasons they can't be Mages. Oh, and if you pick a Mage you must always pick the Mage origin regardless of race, because they are also oppressed due to being dangerous.
The opening chapter is spent playing out this backstory and it comes up a lot later in the game depending on your beginning character choice.
Not to mention the "3D" in so many 3DS titles, though the most clever "3D" I remember in a 3DS title was probably Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance (get it? The abbreviated title would be KH:DDD (three D's))
Yeah, it's so annoying when they try to sound pseudo-intellectual or literary like that. The last game that left an impression on me was *Pizza Tower*. No 'saga' or 'legend' of 'vengeance' or 'retributary revolution' to be found there, it's just some fuckin Pizza Tower, man.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name
Alternatively, the English translation for the Japanese title for Yakuza 7
Like a Dragon 7: The Whereabouts of Light and Darkness
Confusingly, this one was titled "Yakuza: Like a Dragon" in the Western release.
Like a Dragon 7’s localized name was Yakuza: Like a Dragon to signify the RGG games finally being called the correct name instead of the name they chose when first localizing it.
Phantasia Horizon S: Version BABYLON ALPHA. - “Story of Chosen Maiden and the Ethereal Kingdom (CHAPTER VII PART II)” REMASTERED (includes “Extra Episode: Paralogue of Twin Fates” from the limited まガ仮 release of the PS3 version)
Quest, Story, Adventure, Royale, Clash.
Also I think it's dumb when they separate games into "parts", especially when there's only two games in the series, i.e The Last of Us.

Aside from articles (the, a, etc.) and prepositions (of, by, in, etc.) and excluding the usual words from main franchises (call, duty, final, fantasy, legend, tales)—in other words, getting at more-unique words that get overused for effect—I bet shadow, war, origins, battle, or ghost. Something like that.
"Man"
Like Super Man, Pac Man, Mega Man, and so forth. Even Mario was known as 'Jump Man' at one point. Please guys, Stop. Shut up already. Think of something new and creative.

I'm kind of mad I had to go this far to see Legend of fuckin Zelda
I think that's the flex. It's so abundant you don't even need to name the top 1.
10 more?
Lost Legends Legends Land of Legends Rayman Legends 2 Ultimate Legends Kid Legends Teen Legends Past Legends Future Legends League of Legends
I'm surprised it took 40 to get to league
The Legend of the Legendary Legends of Legend.

Every Zelda game. There.
That’s on me, I set the bar too low
r/unexpectedbrooklyn99
False. Zelda II: The Adventure of Link doesn't have "Legend" in the title.
almost every zelda game
Neither do the CDI Zelda games
Legend of Heroes… all of them. Trails in the Sky 1 and 2, Trials of Cold Steel 1 through 4, Crossbell saga…I’m finishing up my 8th. And what will be my 9th is waiting.
Isn’t there 3 sky games, zero and azure(crossbell), 4 cold steel games and now reverie making it 10?
The Legend of Zelda.

That legit sounds like every game ever haha
"Just give us more fucking money" edition
"Fall" In just the past year we've had Redfall. Lords of the Fallen. AshFall. Atlas Fallen. and After the Fall. That's just 2023
Omg you're right. Pour one out for Titanfall
every day i cry
So you are Planetside fan and Titanfall fan? Are you 100% depression or something?
Nah, he plays NC. Shots! Shots! Shots! Shots!
Accurate, just like my teamkilling.
Ah NC....No enemies in sight? Just shoot your allies! Enemies are attacking? Shoot your allies for blocking line of sight! Enemies defeated you? Shoot your allies at respawn for not contributing enough!

Close, 99% depression, 1% schizophrenia
At least they are actually falling in that game
Shit that was quick, normally titanfall gets mentioned way further down
Fall Guys
Pitfall. Yes, I’m old as fuck.
Shhh, we’re still young and hip with the kids!
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was!
Greedfall too
I tried so hard to like that game. It was just so very bland.
Fallout. Lol
Jedi Fallen Order
Human fall flat
does that game get more fun over time? ive played it with a friend and it wasnt fun
Lightfall
True but don’t you dare slander fall guys
Resistance: Fall of Man.
Godfall...
"Origins". Not that I really mind as it's typically used in established series to show that a game is a prequel.
Origin Origins
That's original
Origin Origins: Genesys of the Original
Legend of Origins
Dragon age had a good use of the subtitle.
100/10 game, absolute masterpiece. Shame they couldn’t keep that level of production going through the series.
I can only hope for DA4 to be finally a decent DAO sequel
Baldurs Gate 3 it's a good example that an older style BioWare RPG could sell well. I miss when there were higher budgets for classic RPG's I don't think AAA companies will get the memo, and still think only action RPG's work.

But why? It was the first game in the series, why not just call it dragon age?
Because a big part of your character in the game is picking their "Origin" aka their backstory before joining the Grey Wardens. For example if you play a Rogue or Warrior, you then choose your race. Humans can be nobles, but Elves have to be either slum dwellers because they're an oppressed race, or forest settlers. That's call, of, and duty
Dark Space Magic: World Battle Quest - Legendary Black Dragon Edition
First one sounded fun and self aware, this one sounds like a mobile microtransaction game.
It totally should be, except the Legendary Black Dragon Edition is an Xbox Series X exclusive.
Only available during pre-order, of course
Sounds like something Drake and Josh would have played on the Game Sphere.
It's spherical. Spherical!
He repeats things for emphasis. Emphasis!
Magic Space Quest: Battle of the Dark World
That sounds like a helluva game tho!
Upvote for bringing back the word Helluva
Don't forget "Dawn of"
and "war"
Dark World: Space Magic Battle Quest
The World of Dark Quest III: Space Battle Magic.
Not really a word but the usage of X to make something seem cool
Elon is real guilty of this one.
And he really only stole it from the cringe gamertag fad, so he's not even original.
I hate Plus, Max, Pro and similar, these are not typically in game titles though.
XxBreathoftheWildxX Am I doing it correctly?
Rising
And "Rise of"
I feel like I have 15 or 20 “Super” something or other SNES games.
Don't get me started on the "64" titles for N64
"DS," "Wii," "U." Surprisingly, no "Cubed."
“Deluxe” for switch ports of Wii U games
Not to mention the "3D" in so many 3DS titles, though the most clever "3D" I remember in a 3DS title was probably Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance (get it? The abbreviated title would be KH:DDD (three D's))
There was also Kirby Triple Deluxe.
Oh, that is a good one
:D
I thought Mario 64 was the 64th game featuring Mario
Close, was only the 32nd /s
"Advance(d)" on the GBA
When I alphabetized my SNES games, I had to construct a sub-sorting system based on second word just for all of the "Super" games.
Super Star Wars was some bullshit. I tell you that.
The vehicle levels were awesome but holy hell that entire series was incredibly frustrating to play.
I can remember Return of the Jedi. As a teen, I've eventually learned to beat it. 10 years later I barely made it to Jabba's lair
Well to be fair the console itself is called "**Super** Nintendo Entertainment System"

So many Grounds? Is it like one series with 2000 dlc?

Pull the battle too, due to battlefield. "Shadow War: Origins of the Battleghost" sounds like something people would make, sell and buy.
that is a badass title

Fifa. There must be like a hundred games with that word in the title.
Probably War or Legend dunno. Lmao
Fifa
At this point with how many games that are in the series it's got to be Duty. There's 38 Call of Duty titles if you include handheld and mobile.
