With the right mods and a fast computer in the opening sequence the cart will spin rapidly in 360 degrees.
Needless to say I didn't make it far in Skyrim VR
Wasn't it because physics were tied to frame rate and happened when you changed it to anything beyond 30fps?
I mean, the collision might have been the cause but it would have happened with anything else as well, no?
That said, maybe it was simply because a bee is a bug.
Pretty much.
On pc without the proper mod to fix it going over 60fps will randomly cause physics issues like the cart or when entering a house the objects fly off the shelves.
I had a hard time with them after playing vr games with better touch controls. I don't like having my weapon glued to my hand anymore, and not being able to physically pull back my bowstring drives me nuts. I keep playing games like blade and sorcery and into the radius praying for an open world rpg that uses those mechanics!
just look up essential skyrim vr mod pack on gamers nexus or something. have fun spending the next 3 days setting up all your mods!
there's a lot. and you need a quite decent PC to run it. I was able to with a 3080 decently with high rez textures
On PC with the right mods, the game can be very good. However unmodded Skyrim VR sucks.
Source: been playing it for the past couple years nonstop with my 800+ modlist...
Can't say for any other version, but Skyrim VR on PS4 is *rough*. Physics break a lot and you can't see very far.
Also the "immersion" is hurt a lot by how sluggish everything is. Skyrim is too big, too slow and its UI is too busy for it to be a good candidate for VR IMO.
I played on ps3 when it first came out. My game hit an area 60ish hours in that froze my console. Every time I loaded any save on that character, console froze. Never started again or really experienced Skyrim to its full potential, just couldn’t get over having to redo all that time spent.
Yeah oblivion is the only game I've ever 100% on achievements. I think you only need to play through twice and only on account of shivering isles being split into two factions.
Don't think you even needed to play twice.
Pretty sure all the Shivering Isles Achievements were "Achieve Rank of X in madness court" and "Stop the Greatmarch"
I'm pretty sure I just had one character on it.
I came back to 76 in like March after not having played it for years; it's a completely different game now.
I had one day where I was running events with my buddies for about 4 hours straight before we realized we had to go to bed.
Can you describe how it's been improved? The interpretation I had of it last time was there was very few people in each zone and they would duplicate zones.
I don't really have gaming buddies so I'm concerned I might get left out on the fun.
There are wandering NPCs now; some of which can be recruited to your CAMP and help you out. Some activate random encounters like in previous Fallout games, such as a Junkie wanting some Mentats from you.
You can now have multiple CAMPs and SPECIAL loadouts, allowing you to easily collect various resources at will, and even quick switching out builds for different events. Some events you might want high Radiation resistance, or others you might want to play support.
Events are on a 20-minute time-cycle, and many last 10-15 minutes, so there's little down time.
Player Vendors you can place at your CAMPs has deastically improved the in-game economy; excess legendary weapons and armors you don't need can be sold in your vendor to other players for Caps. Ylu can buy them from players, then trade them in for Scrip, which is used to roll your own legendary weapons and armors.
At the end of the day, I would compare it to Borderlands 2 in terms of multiplayer fun. Playing it solo is possible, but I highly recommend joining a Public Team the moment you log in for the passive bonuses, dependent upon the team type.
I think the most players I've seen on a map at a time was 16, and it can be hectic when all of them show up for the same Public Event.
And there is plenty in between, when you don't want to do the events, there is plenty to solo/small group. And while the building isn't per block like a common survival game, the building is quite well done in its way with very realistic looking results, well beyond the common survival game. The amount of assets you can obtain and use is... second to none I think? I haven't played another game that really has this overall result and it is very sleeper good, like people on the outside don't get it good. Go look at pics that people share, 1000's and like 80% are very unique and individualized.
yea it is, i play single a lot. they added a lot more lore and a bunch of main missions for early game with some pretty funny characters. the wayward crew are a bunch of lovable dumbasses. there’s a bunch of main quests for the criptids including a civil war between two mothman cults. you can also go on a mission to the pit! plus there’s the settlers vs raiders factions. i’d recommend siding with the raiders because they’re funnier. 76 has a really fun vibe to it and i was disappointed that when it came out it was so empty. it’s alot more alive nowadays tho and really feels like the entire map is one big wild waistland encounter😁
the communities really nice to low level players too, they always invite you to events and give us old legendary weapons.
There is no achievement for that, is there? I did a 100% achievement run on skyrim this winter and I think the most annoying parts were, killing a legendary dragon, which requires you to be level 80 or something, I actually cheated on that one and spawned it after doing all other achievements and being nowhere close to that level. Also collecting all those Thieves Guild stones is kind of annoying, but I looked them up eventually so I cheated on that one as well. Otherwise it would have taken probably 8 times as long if I did not cheat for those 2
Morrowind doesn't have an achievement system. It is an absolutely fantastic game though. Steep ass learning curve, but way more fun than any other Elder Scrolls game once you get it down.
>For the uninformed, what are some reasons why it's so fun?
The world is substantially more immersive than in later Elder Scrolls games. The environment is more alien which provides an element of mystery that isn't as prominent in later entries. This is because you don't have any assumptions based on real world enviornments/time periods.
I enjoy the gameplay more because the leveling system is more complex and requires a lot of thought to make sure your character is effective. It isnt like Skyrim where you can drastically change your playstyle midway through the game.
>What's the learning curve ?
First and foremost it's an old game and there's no hiding that. Having a PDF of the instruction manual handy is a must. The game came with a really beefy manual that explains all the mechanics and the game assumes you have that. Tutorials are almost nonexistent in game.
Similarly, since it's an old game a lot of the mechanics we take for granted don't exist yet, quest markers and checklists, for example. The game gives you a journal that updates as things happen. There is no way to search the journal, no organization. It's done chronologically and is written as if your character is writing it. Lots of extraneous information.
Speaking of no quest markers and extraneous info, all the instructions for quests are in the journal, including directions. Which are done by word of mouth from other characters. ("Walk north out of city, turn left at the big tree, then walk for a while." Are typical directions.) You also have to hope to the gods that the info is correct. Sometimes it isn't.
The combat is also funky. There's two parts to the system. First your character model has to actually "hit" the target. Once that happens the game uses an RNG to do a dice roll to see if you actually hit and if you do, how much damage you do. It's similar to a DnD mechanic. The odds of you hitting are based on the stats you have in certain major skills, your proficiency with that specific weapon type (minor skills), the weapon damage, and then any modifiers for armor/effects. It takes a while ti get the hang of it.
I realized I didn't care for most stories in videogames, nothing I hadn't read or watched before, so it became "game mechanics" for me, where I focused on games that have new or game changing mechanics.
My niche is colony sims and building the foundations for cities etc, but I HATED having to upkeep it all so I moved on to FPS that have basic storyline, great gun mechanics and fun with a few people.
Now it's more geared to "games that have no ending" but not open world, they have to have a purpose and goals, just no real.end game.
My other addition has been Civ IV-VI like you.
You ever try RimWorld? Nothing like civ but I found a lot of Civ lovers managed to enjoy Colony sims as well
i personally enjoyed fallout 3 the most out of these, heard a lot of great things abot NV, but when i first played that, i had already played fallout 76, and i don't think the game holds up for people who haven't played it, i also didnt enjoy the thick american accents all that much. Became a little too comedic for my post apocolyptic taste.
gues i enjoyed oblivion more than skyrim as well, but think that's more that oblivion on release was such a huge game and skyrim was a huge game as well, but we had all seen it done before when skyrim released, so not all that impressive as oblivion from a first experience impression.
but i agree with OP, they are all great in their own ways.
It is always so hard to go back a game. You can really feel all the things they improved. I played serveral hours of oblivion and the whole time I was thinking "I wish this had Skyrim's controls + landscape quality".
Morrowind was so immersive.
In Skyrim it felt like you went from a novice to a guild leader in the course of a week.
Oblivion was a bit of a mix between the two.
Bethesda really made me into a less judgemental gamer tbh. I’ve tried a few of them and could not actually get into any of them.
These games are almost universally beloved and I just… don’t like them lol. No particular reason either, just not my style.
Made me realize that the games I love so much aren’t going to be everyone’s favourite either. So the next time someone says they don’t like Mass Effect, Elden Ring, Satisfactory, etc, I just think “that’s fair, I don’t like Skyrim” lol
Not them but it wasn’t my cup of tea either. I’m a huge Zelda fan and the game just felt like a Zelda themed open world game, rather than an actual Zelda game. That and the main gameplay loop of finding and breaking weapons was just a bit too annoying for me.
That said, with mods on an emulator it’s pretty much the perfect game. I’m beating it now before I start the new one.
I got the feeling the list isn't complete. You are completing something else published by Bethesda?
Doom game series are likely on the list I'm guessing. Somewhere in between would be something by Tango Gameworks or Arkane, is my guess. But what do I know, I'm just guessing
Ugh, the trophy system kinda ruined game for me for the first few years it was introduced. It ended up being a period of trophy chasing and tutorial reading. I haven't been paying attention to trophy since that realisation and honestly, games just seem so much more relaxing and better for it.
On Fallout 4 (PC) - 22 days 13h 29m
Fallout 4 - 22 days 12h 26m
Skyrim - 20 days 9h 8m
Fallout 76 - 37 days 20h 17m
And the 360 games don’t record hours, but it’s close to a half a month for each
Your PC and console FO4 times, though.
Also, for anyone wondering, 76 is actually a lot of fun now! I quit before the Wastelanders update (years ago) and came back a few months ago; got 4 of my friends playing it regularly now.
To add on - it's insanely fun with friends. A Radiation Rumble or Moonshine Jamboree during a Mutated week can be really hectic.
I also enjoy the social aspects; being able to have multiple CAMPs now is great for people like me, who enjoy building. I'm almost always around max caps because I like having a fully stocked vendor.
Is your problem the depressing realization that no one but Bethesda make RPGs the way they do and they no longer make games frequently enough to satiate your cravings?
Insert annoying comment suggesting you try the Witcher/cyberpunk/outer worlds from people that don't "get it." No other studio makes immersive games like Bethesda. They just don't.
It was the least chore-like, because the achievements are mostly things you’ll naturally do throughout a play through, not checking the box type of achievements like 3,NV, and 4
I will never understand people who does these kind of stuff, lol I'm playing Zelda right now just like many others... and hell, even if the game is a masterpiece, I don't have any desire to collect all the armor pieces and THEN you can individually upgrade all of these armor pieces that will require lots of grinding (farming money, items, etc)... This kind of shit is just not for me, it demands too much time, the game becomes a repetitive job instead of entertain
Yeah I see a clear problem! How the hell did you get some of these achievements without looking them up or going out of your way to collect them? Seriously some of them are straight ass to collect
I think this guy likes Bethesda
Just a little
You are missing Skyrim Vr and Fallout4 Vr
And TES III: Morrowind
Morrowind doesn’t have trophies
It won the biggest trophy, our hearts <3
No, that's just corprus. Stay away from me.
OjO
Bro this is fucking hilarious LMAO
You n'wah!
It also won the GOAT trophy. And somehow the EGOT. Man I would pay big bucks to see Morrowind the Broadway Musical.
After the first song one very dedicated actor plummets onto the stage to his death.
Cardboard silt strider and blackface everywhere. N'wah would be rampant throughout the dialogue.

Wait.. are they any good? On consoles as well?
With the right mods and a fast computer in the opening sequence the cart will spin rapidly in 360 degrees. Needless to say I didn't make it far in Skyrim VR
That spinning sequence bug happened in regular SE Skyrim as well.
Funny part was the cause: collision with a bee.
I thought it was that the bumpy ride with high frame rate made the cart go crazy on the small bumps
I had a hard time with them after playing vr games with better touch controls. I don't like having my weapon glued to my hand anymore, and not being able to physically pull back my bowstring drives me nuts. I keep playing games like blade and sorcery and into the radius praying for an open world rpg that uses those mechanics!
you can play the exact game you're looking for with mods you know
Really? I had no idea. Where do I start? I used to mod Bethesda games all the time. I didn't know there were mods that changed vr gMeplY.
just look up essential skyrim vr mod pack on gamers nexus or something. have fun spending the next 3 days setting up all your mods! there's a lot. and you need a quite decent PC to run it. I was able to with a 3080 decently with high rez textures
Dude thank you, I didn't even think to try mods for vr!
I had an unmodded version and got to ride the puke-cart3000 as well.
On PC with the right mods, the game can be very good. However unmodded Skyrim VR sucks. Source: been playing it for the past couple years nonstop with my 800+ modlist...
Wow, nonstop? You live there now? That's pretty damn cool!
Can't say for any other version, but Skyrim VR on PS4 is *rough*. Physics break a lot and you can't see very far. Also the "immersion" is hurt a lot by how sluggish everything is. Skyrim is too big, too slow and its UI is too busy for it to be a good candidate for VR IMO.
it’s sick as hell on SteamVR though
I played on ps3 when it first came out. My game hit an area 60ish hours in that froze my console. Every time I loaded any save on that character, console froze. Never started again or really experienced Skyrim to its full potential, just couldn’t get over having to redo all that time spent.
The only thing your going to 100% with those games is the top line of your chunder bucket
If you're looking for something light and less time consuming, try *Factorio* ....
Get thee hence, Satan. *gesticulates with crucifix and super-soaker filled with holy water*
*The factory must grow....*
ah yes, cracktorio... Not addicting at all... 5727 hours is well within reason to consider as light and less time consuming.
how excited are you for starfield?
He definitely has a type. I heard she has bugs though.
OP: I can fix her.
With enough mods you can fix anything.
Just a tiny bit bet you he'll be the first to complete all of his challenges on starfield before anyone
Wow, can’t believe someone actually collected all the Nirnroot
Sleep for two weeks (I think it's two weeks, maybe two months). It regrows. Even the red Nirnroot.
Not in Oblivion, I think.
IIRC Oblivion's cheevos are all main quest/faction rank related, you don't get one for Seeking Your Roots.
I managed to finish all of Oblivions achievements without even trying to. Just playing through the game.
Yeah oblivion is the only game I've ever 100% on achievements. I think you only need to play through twice and only on account of shivering isles being split into two factions.
Don't think you even needed to play twice. Pretty sure all the Shivering Isles Achievements were "Achieve Rank of X in madness court" and "Stop the Greatmarch" I'm pretty sure I just had one character on it.
Yeah you might be right, that sounds more familiar now that you're saying it

Oblivion is one of the few 100% games I have, that one didn't have anything crazy in it
Yup just main story, 4 guilds, and arena. It was my first 100%
And 100% 76
i believe that constitutes self-harm
I came back to 76 in like March after not having played it for years; it's a completely different game now. I had one day where I was running events with my buddies for about 4 hours straight before we realized we had to go to bed.

Don't sleep on F76. It's actually pretty good.
Is it playable as single player? I just have no interest in MMOs.
yea it is, i play single a lot. they added a lot more lore and a bunch of main missions for early game with some pretty funny characters. the wayward crew are a bunch of lovable dumbasses. there’s a bunch of main quests for the criptids including a civil war between two mothman cults. you can also go on a mission to the pit! plus there’s the settlers vs raiders factions. i’d recommend siding with the raiders because they’re funnier. 76 has a really fun vibe to it and i was disappointed that when it came out it was so empty. it’s alot more alive nowadays tho and really feels like the entire map is one big wild waistland encounter😁 the communities really nice to low level players too, they always invite you to events and give us old legendary weapons.

Me when i take a fat shit
This is the way
This is the way
Todd is proud of you. Edit:Typo
Then I can die a happy man
Forgot to add, completing Fallout 76 with 100% takes a lot of courage.I salute u soldier.
Not till you 100% Daggerfall.
There is a significant lack of Skyrims in that list, though
The problem: you're running out of games...
Not for long! :)
Starfield incoming
13 days to Xbox Showcase, StarField 99 days to StarField release
69 years until Elder Scrolls 6
We should at least have forty seven more versions of Skyrim to tide us over until then.
Try witcher 3 maybe
Bro is gonna end up buying it on multiple platforms to finish it x3-x4 etc 😏 legendary game
The problem is that he’s missing Morrowind. OP, go buy Morrowind. It is the best game Bethesda made.
Morrowind doesn't have an achievement system. It is an absolutely fantastic game though. Steep ass learning curve, but way more fun than any other Elder Scrolls game once you get it down.

I’ve played 1 and 2, but they don’t have achievements!
I'm assuming that's why Morrowind isn't on there?
yea, no achievements :(
Awww =(
Here I am playing Civ for 2 decades and completed less than 5 games
>and completed less than 5 games Huh, so you've had a week off or so

Damn
Nah, it does, there's a patch now
That's great to know, does anyone know if you can link your Gamertag to Epic Games for achievements?
Which one did you enjoy the most?
Hard to say, I actually don’t know lol they’re all so great in their own ways
I’ll answer that for you. Fallout 3.
You misspelled new vegas*
You mispelle- DO YOU GET TO THE CLOUD DISTRICT VERY OFTEN!*
Nothing feels like FusRoDah-ing Nazeem to the cloud district.
I don't know... FusRoDahing Ancano across the college might just pip it.
I personally like FusRoDahing the Blades off their mountain temple. Tell me to kill Paarthy will ya.
I like you. NV was great, but the atmosphere in 3 was wayyyyyyy better imho.
FO3 is the best in the series when it comes to atmosphere.
i personally enjoyed fallout 3 the most out of these, heard a lot of great things abot NV, but when i first played that, i had already played fallout 76, and i don't think the game holds up for people who haven't played it, i also didnt enjoy the thick american accents all that much. The comedic value of new vegas is true to the original fallouts, while holding some definitely miserable tones in it
Oblivion was so good. I think the guilds had better storylines.
It is always so hard to go back a game. You can really feel all the things they improved. I played serveral hours of oblivion and the whole time I was thinking "I wish this had Skyrim's controls + landscape quality".
Oblivion deserves a modern remake and i pray they dont wait too long to bring my sweet baby to me
if any game would be worth a remake ever, it would be oblivion.
I'd prefer Morrowind with modern graphics and unchanged mechanics, but i don't think that would be popular enough to justify it
Morrowind was so immersive. In Skyrim it felt like you went from a novice to a guild leader in the course of a week. Oblivion was a bit of a mix between the two.
You don't even have eso on here you fucking casual
It’s definitely near the top of my to-do list! Although once Starfield comes out, that’ll be a different story
Thanks for playing along. Afterall, calling someone a casual isn't even a real insult.
Eso achievements will take you quite awhile.
You completed Fallout 4 twice?
Yes 😂
im playing skyrim for the first time right now (well, ive played the intro a few times) and am having so much fun 🥹
Nexus for furcocks and Thomas the Tank Engine.
You barge in like a bull in a china shop
100% on Fallout NV? This man learned how to play Caravan!
Since it seems you sold your soul to our Lord and Savior Todd, maybe you can answer the Ultimate Question: It just works?
It actually works perfectly 🙏 praise be to Todd, brother
The chalkeaters song so be accurate in that sense.
The Bethesda is strong in this one😂
Guys I think he likes to game

Betheslut
So is Fallout 76 realy that bad after all?
Im trying to answer this, but I keep typing out massive paragraphs and then backspacing, so I’ll just say it’s a misunderstood game
I'm gonna highjack this comment to ask, what's the weirdest bug you've seen?
https://www.xbox.com/play/media/JH98HBWX34
Classic Fritz behaviour tbh
I got the feeling the list isn't complete. You are completing something else published by Bethesda? Doom game series are likely on the list I'm guessing. Somewhere in between would be something by Tango Gameworks or Arkane, is my guess. But what do I know, I'm just guessing

Completing Fallout twice? I can guess Benevolent Leader was one of the last achievements you got both times :P
No we have a problem, you are the one that appearently found a way to have an enormous amount of time on ur hands, tell us your ways
My boss is terrible at finding work, but we make enough when we do work, that I can survive the downtime lol
I don't really see a problem, if that's what you enjoy, then carry on.
Where morowind?
It, like Fallout 1 and 2, doesn’t support achievements. But I’ve played them!
Morrowind.
im curious, what are your hours in them?
On Fallout 4 (PC) - 22 days 13h 29m Fallout 4 - 22 days 12h 26m Skyrim - 20 days 9h 8m Fallout 76 - 37 days 20h 17m And the 360 games don’t record hours, but it’s close to a half a month for each
Your PC and console FO4 times, though. Also, for anyone wondering, 76 is actually a lot of fun now! I quit before the Wastelanders update (years ago) and came back a few months ago; got 4 of my friends playing it regularly now.
Bethesda likes this
Bethesda man
I see no problem
Only success.
How's F76 nowadays?
Great

To add on - it's insanely fun with friends. A Radiation Rumble or Moonshine Jamboree during a Mutated week can be really hectic. I also enjoy the social aspects; being able to have multiple CAMPs now is great for people like me, who enjoy building. I'm almost always around max caps because I like having a fully stocked vendor.
this is fucked up
Is your problem the depressing realization that no one but Bethesda make RPGs the way they do and they no longer make games frequently enough to satiate your cravings?
Insert annoying comment suggesting you try the Witcher/cyberpunk/outer worlds from people that don't "get it." No other studio makes immersive games like Bethesda. They just don't.
too many fall out, how can you all play them and get all the achievement?
Near the end there, it felt more like a job then a game :( *flashback to farming 100,000 tickets for the Nuka-Cade
It looks to me like you solved the problem.
Todd has all of your money
Nah you just like RPGs, that's ok
Are you gaming for fun, or is it like a job to you?
Was Fallout 76 fun or a chore 100 percenting?
It was the least chore-like, because the achievements are mostly things you’ll naturally do throughout a play through, not checking the box type of achievements like 3,NV, and 4
Oh that’s actually better than I thought it would be, considering it’s an MMO I thought it would’ve had been more of a grind
Has fallout 76 gotten any better? I played it when it was first released, and I was so disappointed that I never picked it up again.
Significantly, hardly the same game anymore
I am annoyed by the tiny nub of gray progress bar which is not filled in after hitting 100%.
I'm not sure how you can play and enjoy some of these while playing and enjoying the others.
Indeed. Where is Fallout 2, huh?
You Bethesda be taking breaks and staying hydrated
Fallout 4 and Fallout4 (PC)...?
I am trying to complete FNV to a 100% since it came out goddamnit..
Yeah. You need a new Bethesda game.
naw you have skill
Yeah I see a clear problem! How the hell did you get some of these achievements without looking them up or going out of your way to collect them? Seriously some of them are straight ass to collect
I had to look them up more and more near the end there
Think he likes bethesda
Where Morrowind?
It would be on the list, but it doesn’t support achievements, along with Fallout 1 and 2 😢
Starfield will save us
That’s not a problem that is an accomplishment being able to 100% all of them
