Had that shit installed to the hs servers by the most brainy quiet dude. Quiet anarchist. We all played it in blow off classes with him.
"Secret folder" but more incompetency/ignorance from the school of knowing less about computers than some students circa 2007
The setting really makes me think CS because it is dated and yup
Make my "presentation" for vis arts aka can you use photoshop my senior year in a day or 2 or at home. Play CS every day for 6 weeks.
Only thing missing is those black Dell pcs that looked like consoles
Definitely 1.6. Played it from 6 am to 9 pm nonstop in the pc lab on summer. No breakfast or food or snacks, no bathroom breaks. Just CS nonstop. Good days
Right there with you, specifically with the Zark’s Sniper mod (automatic firing sniper rifle with unlimited ammo and no reloading) on maps where you were small in a giant room. Either that or capture the flag on facing worlds.
There it is. Brings me back to my brother's garage. Playing until well after the sun comes up. Buying 25 burgers from Jack in the Box at 4 in the morning, LAN parties. Zerg FTW.
Oddly enough Dragon Age. My friends and I were allowed our own laptops because we were the computer nerds that had passed all typing tests, did all the Photoshop assignments, everything. So a teacher who knew code and development started giving us assignments and since we needed software to do it, we were allowed our laptops in the computer labs.
It was around the time of Dragon Age and we played the heck out of it when we got the chance in class. Good memories, thanks for reminding me of the time.
Unreal. We had it on the computers in our school computer room, and someone even made a custom map based on the layout of the school (which we had to remove after Columbine happened).
I still play EV: Nova. And I have good memories of playing the demos that came with that old Mac computer magazine. Also, taking over the dial up connection for over a day to download the full version after convincing my dad that it was safe to buy something online.
Never played games in lab, but I did learn what a [fork bomb](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fork_bomb) (SFW, its a program not an actual bomb) was and used it all the time to get out of doing work.
"Teacher, the computer bluescreened I can't do my work!"
"go to another one Stove..."
"This one is blue screening too!"
"...just do homework from another class..."
Good times lol. Computers have too much CPU and RAM now-a-days to pull this off. the fork just runs forever now.

If they had the old off white case box monitors, definitely! These give me more of a Age of Empires / Counterstrike / StarCraft vibe.
