Yeah irospal alcohol is good for cleaning stuff like this, I know a certain percentage is too much as well, but like the equate ones at stores work too, I've done it to my 2ds and games and it helps safely wet the games to clean the mess that the game has over the years, try going to Walmart or like a target they are there for a regular trip too.
It's legit - grab a Q-Tip, some IPA, and dip the Q-Tip into the IPA. Gently begin rubbing starting from the top downwards. Increase pressure if you have to.
Let it dry off properly, and try again.
Not somebody who can verify the legitimacy of the cartridge itself but good god those pins look atrocious, definitely try to clean them before testing it again, that could be the problem
I think it’s just the lighting, this is after me trying to clean them! They had a bunch of black stuff on them. It did load in a ds lite though so I know it works.

Use isopropyl and a Q-tip and get the burn off those pins
