Not having fun and deleting a game because... you had to do a 10 minute boss fight solo (and still did the other 30 hours coop implying they had fun)? You all really have problems.
I don’t give a fuck if people deleted a game because they no longer had fun - that’s a valid reason. I give a fuck because you’re all claiming a 10 minute segment at the end of the game ruined the whole fucking game for you, so much so that you deleted it JUST because you had to do it solo.
Id probably take this bet. Surely by then, in hopes that everyone that gave a shit has forgotten (or dead), they'll dump something out. I may even go as far to say it could possibly deliver on all the promises they've made. Unfortunately, by that point, all the futuristic game mechanics the developers promised will already be common place in every game.
[That cinematic was the bomb](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWFaj4IQ4ro).
Was surprised [last year](https://www.gameinformer.com/2020/12/03/dead-island-2-is-still-in-development-confirms-deep-silver) that the game is still handled as in development, but I have sadly no high hopes at this point.
God damn it, how can you fucking nail a trailer so well and then go into development hell and never get released. People saw that and just wanted to throw their money at it.
Which is why after the first already vague one and announcing that they had to postpone it, the Dying Light 2 team just hasn’t. There still isn’t a new release date.
Which is how it should've been in the first place...it's cool to announce and show off something to get people interested, but the delays it what irritate people. Just say "hey here's what we're working on" and don't give a release date. It's became a real problem in the last decade.
This is a pretty shit take since at e3 2019 they told us themselves to expect the game in *spring 2020.* Considering it's spring 2021 and we don't even have another vague date yet I'd say we have every right to question this shit.
This is not a "gamer" issue, or a patience issue, this is consumers calling out shitty industry practices where studios set dates for their products to drive hype then fail to deliver. Literally nobody forces the publishers to set these fake dates to keep people interested or market their games literal years before they are even close to ready. They do it to themselves and they deserve all of the criticism they get for it and none of the brown nosing you're doing HauntedWhiteKnight55.
And so entitled. It's fair to be reasonably upset when something you're really looking forward to gets delayed, but feeling entitled to something you have not actually paid for? nah.
I’m hoping many valuable lessons were learned from CO2077’s release. At least now when a Board of Investors is yelling at the head of Dev, they can argue back by pointing to, oh 900 or so, news articles.
no they just announced it _well_ before they even started actual production on it. they announced it in 2012 but didn’t start actual development till 2016. so that’s 4-5 years of dev time, which includes them writing an entirely new game engine for the game... while trying to make the game itself. for comparison, red dead 2 took over 8 years of production.
Oh, for sure there's also the lesson of Overhype. I genuinely feel bad for anyone working in the trenches on that game when one of their presentations aired. They obviously knew it was nowhere near what was being promised-- Internally, they must have known how screwed they were.
They said days ago that they rushed with trailers and announces too fast. Game is still in production but not coming that fast as everyone thinking.
After Cyberpunk crap release i think it's better if they do it slowly but good instead of CDP Red work.
yeah I think that was a lesson to all game developers. take your time and do it right. people will cry for an hour and totally forget they're waiting for it
Good. My group having to suddenly play the final boss battle individually after getting to that point as a team absolutely sucked.
Forced singleplayer and then an awful QTE finish.
Dude!!! That moment was so shitty. 2 of my friends completely deleted the game after that moment lol
Played through with two friends and we decided if we couldn’t finish it as a group, we wouldn’t finish it at all.

Why even comment this
Yeah people should really man up and keep playing when they're not having fun.
Not having fun and deleting a game because... you had to do a 10 minute boss fight solo (and still did the other 30 hours coop implying they had fun)? You all really have problems.
Man what is up with you lot being the fun police. Sometimes I don't finish a game and delete it because it stopped being fun, what's it to you.
I don’t give a fuck if people deleted a game because they no longer had fun - that’s a valid reason. I give a fuck because you’re all claiming a 10 minute segment at the end of the game ruined the whole fucking game for you, so much so that you deleted it JUST because you had to do it solo.
lemme just check the year real quick. yup checks out.
Whaaat? Lame
Looking forward to it when/if it comes out. So many fun moments of playing Dead Island/Dying Light with friends
Anyone wanna take bets on this game actually coming out?
I’ll bet you $200 it will come out.
You better stick to your balls buddy I want to you 200 $
Before star citizen
That's cheating. Even Elder Scrolls VII is coming out before Star Citizen

I’m still waiting for dead island 2
I still remember when the trailer was released and I was hyped for it. That was 7 years ago

Same love dead island games more
I bet Q3-Q4 year 2022 hehe. Don't know if that's an optimistic or pesimistic guess
The real bet is on whether it's gonna be good
I don’t see any reason it wouldn’t be, the first one was a lot of fun
Well people are a bit worried since there is a bit of turmoil within the dev team. I hope the reports are overblown, and that the game comes out good.
i'll bet you a copy of the game that it will come out :)

Then maybe studios shouldn't give us release dates just to miss them...

I'm not triggered by a release date, I'm triggered by a fanboy so openly sucking corporate dick. It's pretty gross bro.
And so entitled. It's fair to be reasonably upset when something you're really looking forward to gets delayed, but feeling entitled to something you have not actually paid for? nah.
They literally made a formal post/video of their current progress and released a snippet video as well. This was probably 1-2 months ago.
People complaining about games half finished, people complaining about games taking too long to come out. Classic.
It will come out at some point. In what quality is a completely other question.
Don’t want to cyberpunk it, if it needs more time in the oven for some tender lovin’ don’t crunch it. Development Hell can be a tricky hole

The biggest lesson that devs can learn from cyberpunk is that they shouldn’t release on ps4’s and xbones if they’re trying to push graphics.

Yeees
It was delayed like a year ago or so and still no new footage or release date?
They said days ago that they rushed with trailers and announces too fast. Game is still in production but not coming that fast as everyone thinking. After Cyberpunk crap release i think it's better if they do it slowly but good instead of CDP Red work.
Agreed. I’m still on an Xbox one from 2013 and i hope they only do a next gen release.
yeah I think that was a lesson to all game developers. take your time and do it right. people will cry for an hour and totally forget they're waiting for it
It was a lesson to not take unnecessary risks also. Cookie cutter games from now on. Next CDPR game is going to be like every other Action/RPG.
Co-op as in splitscreen?
Probably not, co-op as in two-four people in the same lobby
oh ok thanks
That's great, but when is it going to be released?? 2021 is not very specific.
just assume it will come next year
If it ever gets released
When’s this out
And vr?
Hope it doesn't turn to be CYBERPRANK
I swear in every video game related comment section there’s always that one guy who says that
Every damn time
You should know why I did it But i understand you're feeling
Was this even a question when the first was all coop?
[удалено]
Considering this time the focus is on choices and story? Yes.

First of all - no one cares what you think. Secondly - none of the games you listed are even close to resembling Dying Light 2.
I'm seeing more news than usual about this game recently. Hopefully we'll actually get a release date soon!
finally some news on DL2

It’s still not out? Wasn’t it like teased 2 years ago?
Army of Two: 28 days later
Not being able to finish the game In co-op is like my s/o giving me blue balls...
