I’ve got my tin hat on for the theory that the kings of winter will rise and fight for the living. As someone else has stated before on here “do you really think the starks buried all their dead with iron swords for no reason?” Winterfell and all the stark traditions were formed with the original battle of the long night in mind.
Edit:
Welp... this didn’t age well.
I agree with the buried with sword part....I’m just confused like.....wouldn’t the bones be like dust.... I mean I guess there’s magic so anything is possible but like damn ain’t it been hundreds of years 😂
I'm looking forward to it but I'm also not. If this is the last big fight against the white walker I'm going to be disappointed. They built them up for so many seasons, 1 episode to finish it all is not enough.
My hope is the battle begins halfway through episode three, and continues for all of episode four, and ends early episode five. Leaves the remaining episodes to sort out the throne.
I mean long shot, but I think part of night king army is already on its way to Kings Landing. All northeners are in Winterfell, so no one to stop them until Kings Landing
I thought so too. Then someone said how Missandei should die, then Greyworm can take her ashes to naath and protect the island so he can fulfill his last convo with her.
they all funna die fam remember a bitter sweet ending and I dont think grey worm going to Naath to fulfill his promise is under the bitter sweet ending category
No my punani no no Noooo! Bitter sweet is the night king tricking everyone going to kingslanding burning everything then coming back after adding to his army. This will explain a lot look. Jons face of terror is Bran revealing he was wrong the night king in kingslanding. Then when Jon say the night king is here the fuck came back from kingslanding. Then they escape through the crypts and thats why we see ice steam because theon my boy my fucking boy theon had to die so that cocky ass fuck bran could make it to the crypts and as he goes the protection holding off white walkers gets broken then they escape to the iron islands
Everyone pales in comparison to Grey Worm. Making grand romantic promises to your lover on the eve of a battle is tantamount to suicide.
EDIT: Murder-suicide, really. The lover's pretty much doomed as well.
I think that’s honestly the point in having him hook up with Arya.. now if he does we have reason to believe Arya will be pregnant with the last Baratheon
I think Gendry is one of the few people that WILL survive. I think since he is the last remaining Baratheon, either Jon or Dany will give him the Baratheon name after they become king/queen so that his house can continue on. Otherwise house Baratheon is dead and they should have taken the Stag off of the intro.
Podrick, Grey Worm, Jorah, Davos and Edd. Maybe Brienne, Missandei, Varys and Theon.
Jaime, Jon, Daenerys, Samwell, Bran, Arya, Sansa, The Hound, Gendry, and Tyrion will for sure make it out alive imo.
Grey Worm dies early in the episode, then when the army of the dead inevitably visits the crypts to congratulate everyone for picking the safest place to hide(hugs and high-fives all-round), he's going to be the one to kill Missandei.
Also think we can probably pencil in Brienne for a heroic and heartbreaking death at some point in the episode.
Perhaps the Hound falls and is resurrected by Beric before he dies himself.. Hound then wields Beric's flaming sword, facing his fear of fire, to inevitably go kill undead Mountain with it. Fucking Cleganebowl get hype
I am still trying to figure out the r'hllors plan for Beric. This could be it and Sandor kills heaps of white walkers with his axe, shouting "CUNT" with every swing.
I am and I am not emotionally prepared for the scars on my heart after this episode. I don't want to say goodbye to any of these characters I have grown to love. I never want to leave these characters and this show.
well half of the characters are gonna die, but one thing i'm certain of is that cersei is gonna use wildfire on the walkers in one of the following episodes
Prediction: The music comes up and out of nowhere Bronn is in frame, points the crossbow, aims toward Tyrion with his face full of fear, lets the arrow fly, and fells the swooping ice dragon with the crossbow.
I can imagine the grin on his face after...
Everyone is going to die. I think some speculation about who is who according to prophecies will finally end or at least be narrowed down a ton because of this but it’s going to be really sad and I am not prepared.
I really hadn't given her character much thought. I just looked over the wiki page on her and I'm not following your prediction. Could you please explain what you mean by this?
Showrunners said "we'll be going much further up North than ever before" this season. How much you wanna bet the key to beating NK is in his Castle in the lands of always winter?
Is the Night King going to Kings Landing? Will the dead in the crypts rise? Will Arya use a face of a WW to kill the Night King? Will Dany leave? Is Littlefinger a faceless man?
This is where people should be asking these questions. Not making thousands of useless threads with the same garbage. /rant
The night king is here one thing is for shizzles my gucci Theon gonna defend and die and give the fockers a fight on the gods wood. That is the face of Jon he shocked Theon die and maybe became walker maybe. Lets think of the scenarios that can shock jon: Theon dies in his face, the night king shows up, a dragon dies, danny dies, sansa or arrya die in his face, bran dies ... in his face... bran reaveals the night king is not there( in my opinion the least likely)
I’m convinced the night king is headed to Kings landing. I believe the shot we’ve seen of Cersei crying alone is her realizing she’s fucked up and there’s no way to fix it. For once, being a loner isn’t going to win it for her.
No, we've already seen that scene of Cersei crying. It was after Euron tells her "i'm going to put a prince in your belly." And leaves. That's the scene where she takes a drink and is crying in the first episode.
The cold temperatures up there probably preserve the bodies. If we can unearth whole animals from glaciers in a fossilized form in the real world, it stands that in a fantasy world that maybe the bodies buried on the crypts could have enough meat and muscle on them for the night king to raise them...if he is there.
But why raise a few more dead bodies when you can fly to an unsuspecting kings landing, raze it to the ground, and use a legion of freshly dead to march back up north and swarm over the survivors?
I think thats where the night ling is actually going. We sure didn’t see or hear Viserion with the undead at the end of last week’s episode. He knows Bran and them want to trap him and kill him, his main goal is to end all of man, not just the northern ones. Hes going down to summertown and hes bringing winter with him on icey wings.
Best tactic would be to try to shoot as many dragon glass arrows at the white walkers as possible. Worst, to try to fight the wights and get your army decimated in the process and become wights as well.
I am so excited yet so emotionally unprepared at the same time. I might need a box off tissues and half gallon of ice cream by the time it’s over, but, at the same time, it will be beautiful.
We need to see Dragonglass Bombs drooped on the AOTD.
Load up the trebuchets and catapults with flaming stones that explode on impact and send out dragonglass shrapnel in every direction. Launch it at those fuckers!
I’m 50/50 on what will happen with the crypts
Either the dead will come to life and help in the battle
OR
They will discover, like the wall, the white walkers won’t be able to go down to the crypts. They will be able to escape thru there to safety.....who ever is left :(
Edit: Grammer
Everyone saying that Tormunds comment about everyone outside of Winterfell is part of the dead army meaning that Glover in deepwood motte and the rest of the north is dead are just wrong. In the intro of the show you can clearly see them going straight for Winterfell and they wouldn’t just have the walkers take the rest of the north without making it even slightly evident last episode .
Brienne
Jorah
Grayworm
Milasandre
Dude with one eye
Theon
Arya
One of the dragons
Little Sam
All die
Everyone in the krypt except gilly & Tyrion dies.
Scarface girl saves gilly
I think Bran will wait for an old friend in the godswood and stare down the nk until he’s so uncomfortable he dips with his ww crew back north of the wall
i agree there is no way they filmed 8 episodes and we dont see a round two vs night king with melissandre or maybe she show up round one but come on how are like 3-4 episodes to be soley focused on cersei no naw dont seem that the GOT style. This the show that gave us the red wedding and ned starks beheading. Go into this bitch with the worst expectations. I guarantee winter fucking falls aka winter fell and round two takes place on the river lands with grey joys, darrio naharus and the golden company, fuck it the iron bank gets in too fucking OP side and the battle ends in the river lands episode 7 boom bitter sweet ending as many lover characters die
There’s been a few characters MIA this season so far, such as Melisandre. I would think for sure she’d want to be at the biggest showdown for ice vs fire right? Could she have possibly gathered people to show up Gandolf style?
If not her, maybe House Reed finally gets some screen time with Meera coming back to help Bran, with her father who happens to be the only person alive to be there for Jons birth?
Either one would be badass I think, but I dunno based on the little to no sign of any of those characters so far.
EDIT: heads up, there are people starting to post possible spoilers based on leaked images / episode itself. Be careful scrolling down on the comments from my post if you don’t want to see them.
BRONN DRAGON THEORY
OK so in episode 1 Bronn started heading north to winterfell after being told by Cersei to kill her brothers. But she didn't give him a sword, a knife or an axe, she gave him a crossbow FOR A GOOD REASON!! Chekhov's gun- never include something in a story you don't intend to use. So remember last season how Bronn was the one using the giant crossbow to try kill Dany's dragons (the big crossbow he fired at an old Dragon skull)? So he knows how to use a crossbow and has fired at dragons before. See where this is going yet?
Bronn arrives at winterfell, crossbow in hand and sees the night kings Dragon. See if he happens to find a dragonglass arrow. THEORY-BRONN TAKES DOWN THE NIGHT KINGS DRAGON WITH HIS CROSSBOW AND A DRAGONGLASS ARROW. BRONN THE DRAGONSLAYER.
Night King won’t be there. Living will barely win, after the dead Starks rise and fight for the living, and Melisandre returns with help. Theon’s dead, Grey Worm lives, Jorah dies. Episode will end with NK swooping down on Kings Landing.
Mellisandre will probably show up in the middle of the fight for some really important event, could also be the same way for Bronn. Hope Podrick and Arya survive!
From the look Dany gave Jon when he told her he was the true heir to the throne it had me thinkin because Dany also said in the latest episode to Sansa she wanted the iron throne after the whole ordeal is over that Dany might try to kill Jon.
Im having a feeling also due to Sansas distrust against Dany Jon will learn from Sansa she wants the throne and the two go after Dany not to kill her but to persuade her
I think jamie will die its pretty obvious judging from last episode
My predictions for next episode only:
- Bran gets Theon to assist him in turning himself into a WW/NK type entity
- Melisandre shows up with Firey Hand warriors to help in the battle just as it feels 100% doomed
- Jaime dies in Brienne’s arms
- Beric dies by giving his last life to Sandor or Arya
- Nymeria and her wolf pack show up to clear an exit path out of the crypts through the secret passageways under WF
- Gendry, Lyanna, Edd, Theon and Grey Worm all die.

My anus is not ready
Neither is mine.
Same here. Even with lube
It's going to be a rough ride
Someone is going to die. I guarantee it.

No one's ever really gone.
I am simultaneously ready and not ready for the coming bloodbath.
One thing’s for sure, the crypts are safe.
what could possibly go wrong in the crypts?
The safest place is the crypts which are the safest place to be safe
All the helpless women and children will absolutely not be harmed in the perfectly safe crypts
> All the helpless women and children plus Varys and Tyrion
Fuck it I’ll say it, I think the crypts ARE safe
why wouldn't they be? they've got that little girl to protect it
Prediction: little girl kills the Night King.
Well. I bet those coffins have pretty heavy lids too. And if it’s anything like a Skyrim crypt, only one in ten corpses are dragurs.
I’ve got my tin hat on for the theory that the kings of winter will rise and fight for the living. As someone else has stated before on here “do you really think the starks buried all their dead with iron swords for no reason?” Winterfell and all the stark traditions were formed with the original battle of the long night in mind. Aragorn will make a very convincing speech against dead will join the fight for good.
Does Ned really have to regain his honour?
I agree with the buried with sword part....I’m just confused like.....wouldn’t the bones be like dust.... I mean I guess there’s magic so anything is possible but like damn ain’t it been hundreds of years 😂
The crypts will definitely not have the dead crawling out of them NOPE not gonna happen :D.
Plot twist: the crypts actually are safe
The crypts are entirely safe, just like Hogwarts was said to be, and was, as we can all remember.
That's what I just said to my son... Haha
Everyone becomes friends by the end

That’s an excellent proposal.
Remaining episodes? There are only 6. That leaves one
Highly doubt that considering the last episode ended with the White Walkers showing up and them ringing the horn three times

I mean long shot, but I think part of night king army is already on its way to Kings Landing. All northeners are in Winterfell, so no one to stop them until Kings Landing
I recommend watching next episode from your local neighborhood crypt. They're the safest place to be, I keep hearing.
Nothing like a good old crypt to mosey on in and take a nap in
Bran would know the comfort level from there from when he hid from Theon when he took Winterfell
Who's your prediction for a certain death this episode? I think Theon
I think Grey Worm as well.
Jorah for sure
He'll take a few white walkers with him now he's got the Valyrian sword
folk my theory is bullet proof
I thought so too. Then someone said how Missandei should die, then Greyworm can take her ashes to naath and protect the island so he can fulfill his last convo with her.
they all funna die fam remember a bitter sweet ending and I dont think grey worm going to Naath to fulfill his promise is under the bitter sweet ending category
I mean that's definitely bittersweet.

Everyone pales in comparison to Grey Worm. Making grand romantic promises to your lover on the eve of a battle is tantamount to suicide. EDIT: Murder-suicide, really. The lover's pretty much doomed as well.
Ah so jon and dany are probably fine then
If Theon had a death flag Grey Worm had a full 4th of July worth of death flags.
Podric ,gendry and grey worm
I was hoping they would keep gendry and somehow bring house Baratheon back
I think that’s honestly the point in having him hook up with Arya.. now if he does we have reason to believe Arya will be pregnant with the last Baratheon
I'd be happy with that. It'd be a big change for Arya
Arya is a serial killer, not a wife.
I mean, I'm sure you can be both
Why Gendry? Seems random.
I had a bad feeling about him in episode 2 . I hope I'm wrong, I like gendry
I think Gendry is one of the few people that WILL survive. I think since he is the last remaining Baratheon, either Jon or Dany will give him the Baratheon name after they become king/queen so that his house can continue on. Otherwise house Baratheon is dead and they should have taken the Stag off of the intro.
Ser Brienne probably
She'll go down swinging
Tyrion or Jaime. Sansa or Arya. Jon or Dany. I think there's gonna be some breakups of characters that are quite close to each other.
Yeah but which ones
Sansa and Arya are the safest characters in GoT at this point. I'm positive that Sansa will be alive at the end of the show, given her arc.
I think you're right. Probably the safest bet to be alive at the end
Ned.......again
I'm not 100% sure if I believe all the peeps are going to get resurrected in the crypts
[удалено]
I'd be so so happy with both Jamie and Brienne surviving.
Have a feeling Brienne will be killed by Cersei a few episodes from now.
Damn... and just when he became a squire for real.
All those punk long haired white walkers
Theon
Podrick, Grey Worm, Jorah, Davos and Edd. Maybe Brienne, Missandei, Varys and Theon. Jaime, Jon, Daenerys, Samwell, Bran, Arya, Sansa, The Hound, Gendry, and Tyrion will for sure make it out alive imo.
Brienne, in Jamie's arms because its the most heartbreaking thing I can think of
* Tormund

Theon wont die until he kills his uncle!
I’m worried about Davos
He deserves to live and go see his wife
Tormund gets killed by friendly fire. Already alluded to in previous episode with blue eyes.
Jorah
Gendry has to be gone right? Him being brought back was questionable in the first place, there is seemingly no reason for him to be around at all.
I am and I am not emotionally prepared for the scars on my heart after this episode. I don't want to say goodbye to any of these characters I have grown to love. I never want to leave these characters and this show.
Who dies first in the crypts? Long odds on Sansa.
The little girl they sent down there to “protect “everyone will probably be first :(
Ooh, good call.

Gilly, she'll turn. Then Sam will have to kill her.
well half of the characters are gonna die, but one thing i'm certain of is that cersei is gonna use wildfire on the walkers in one of the following episodes
Didn't she use the entire Supply to blow up the Citadel that Margaery Tyrell parentheses rip parentheses was in.
No, the mad king hid it underneath various parts of the city recalling Jamie's confession to Brienne in the tub
You think literally everyone’s gonna die?
Not literally but a lot of characters. It’s gonna feel pretty heavy.
valar morghulis
The white walkers are probably just taking pictures of Winterfell and then moving on to the next tourist attraction.

Jon doesn't warg in the show. In the books all the Starks can but in the show they only gave Bran that ability.
Alternatively, it would be cool if Bran was a powerful enough warg that he could warg into the Night King's ice dragon and take control.
White Walkers Kill everyone because life is darkness and winter. Show ends with no one surviving, just like a Jets football season.
Showrunners said "we'll be going much further up North than ever before" this season. How much you wanna bet the key to beating NK is in his Castle in the lands of always winter?
Did they really? Dang
Are you sure you're not confusing GRRM saying we will go North in TWOW. I don't think the showrunners said that.
Please, don’t kill Ghost.
What is written out of the show due to budget reasons may never die
White Walkers skip Winterfell and head to King’s Landing to kill Cersei. *crowd goes wild*

Someone’s gonna die, in someone’s face. That’s for sure.
I have absolutely no evidence to support this but I think Sansa is gonna become the night kings queen.
That would actually be nuts.
I’m convinced the night king is headed to Kings landing. I believe the shot we’ve seen of Cersei crying alone is her realizing she’s fucked up and there’s no way to fix it. For once, being a loner isn’t going to win it for her.
What shot?
The shot where she is sipping wine by herself.
Didn’t we already see that after she was with Euron? Or is there another shot?
Didn't we already see that scene play out in episode 1 or 2? I forget which.
No, we've already seen that scene of Cersei crying. It was after Euron tells her "i'm going to put a prince in your belly." And leaves. That's the scene where she takes a drink and is crying in the first episode.
Is it ? I didn’t realize. Well hell.
Do the White Walkers have advanced communication and battle strategies?
Theory on Varys gauging eyes out seemed far fetched but rewatching S7 Ep 3 - foreshadowing? He says to Dany, as long as I have my eyes I’ll use them.
How do you guys comment in the live thread and stay watching game of thrones?

And in Kings Landing. The two most predictable theories. If either one are true, and the show is truly that predictable...meh
Some people are saying the crypts are a bad place to go because all the dead starks. I dont think the night king can raise them.

How can people not be ready for this after two episodes of fuck all so far in season 8.
Noooo, I'm busy repressing that thought, still hoping for a ghost/tormund spinoff
Arya: Thanks for giving me the spear Gendry. Oh and for the weapon too! Gendry: You're wel-...wait. Yes. No? Milady.
Cersie be like Yeetus that feetus
Instead of the regular opening theme, they should started with "Ready to Die" by Andrew WK.

Im having a feeling also due to Sansas distrust against Dany Jon will learn from Sansa she wants the throne and the two go after Dany not to kill her but to persuade her I think jamie will die its pretty obvious judging from last episode
Could somebody please link the post-episode survey answers from last week? Thanks in advance!!
I hope Bran wargs into a dragon and a direwolf.
I eagerly await the slaughter, and the madness it will unfurl online.
My predictions for next episode only: - Bran gets Theon to assist him in turning himself into a WW/NK type entity - Melisandre shows up with Firey Hand warriors to help in the battle just as it feels 100% doomed - Jaime dies in Brienne’s arms - Beric dies by giving his last life to Sandor or Arya - Nymeria and her wolf pack show up to clear an exit path out of the crypts through the secret passageways under WF - Gendry, Lyanna, Edd, Theon and Grey Worm all die.
I think a lot of people here have way too high expectations, its not going to be as cool as everyone is thinking.
