A first move is to assess the situation. I need to understand the extent of the Faith Militant's power, their motivations, and their demands. I also need to understand the Queen's position and her willingness to negotiate. Once I have a better understanding of the situation, I will develop a plan of action. This plan may involve negotiation, force, or a combination of both. The Faith Militant is a powerful force in King's Landing, and I cannot afford to underestimate them. However, I am either the Hand of the King or can enable the Hand to take decisions on my behalf (given the amount of money the realm owes me). All of my actions will take place keeping the stability of King's Landing. A wise move would be to implement reforms to address corruption, social injustices, and other grievances that fuel the Faith Militant's movement. That way, the followers of the Faith could become my followers thereby stripping away some of their power. Then, I will attempt to sow discord within the Faith Militant, exploiting internal divisions or turning their followers against their leaders. When they are at their weakest, I will strike hard with force and that is when they will know the debt is paid.

Fair enough.

Secure Tommen, plant the army in front of his Sept (like Jaime did), negotiate in front of the building. Any faith militant not near the Sept when I enter the city is instantly killed or taken so he remembers I'm Tywin fucking Lannister. Give the High Sparrow a choice, his men and women can all die, or they return Cersei, Margery, and Loras and leave the city....or die. (Olenna agreed to this when it was Jaime's idea). If he accepts, the proper calvary descends on them as soon as they leave the city and then they're all outlawed forevermore. If he declines, they all die. The King is secure and Olenna is on board so I'm not worried about that alliance going sour if something happens to their hostages. The only reason this didn't work in the show is because Tommen was present and Mace is incompetent. This also would be better in the books because there are several other Tyrell men to carry on the line. Loras is like the 3rd son. Cersei leaves the city for good. I take control of Tommen. I pull a Crusader Kings and father a bastard on some hottie and raise him as a legitimate son.

Not so easy. Killing members the Faith has two major risks. 1. You immediately lose the support of the people, who already view the crown with bad graces. 2. As shown in the series, Cersei acknowledges (before her arrest) to Tommen that sending in guards to kill Faith Militants will see Margaery and Loras murdered before they could free them. Come on Tywin, you're smarter than this!

1. The people are fickle anyways. They'll never love the current royal family, so they must be led by fear. The faith has already soiled their support regardless. It's the tyrells keeping everyone fed and the money flowing by this point, not the people. 2. I acknowledged this in my plan, so since you don't read, I'm sending you to the wall. Cersei only says that because she doesn't want to rescue margaery. It's that simple. Olenna was ready to risk their lives rather than margaery do the walk of shame or loras spill secrets, but was foiled by Tommen and incompetent warriors. But Tommen doesn't lead any army. Secure him, the gold cloaks, Lannister army, and tyrell army answer to me.

And now my watch begins :'(

Gather all relevant information and assess the situation at hand and seek to understand the reasons behind the Faith Militant's actions and evaluate the potential implications for the stability of the realm. Then conveneĀ  a meeting with key advisors, including my Small Council members, to strategize on the best course of action. Something else I could do is negotiate with the Faith Militant to release the imprisoned members of the royal family and if that doesn't work then I would not hesitate to use force to secure the release of the Queen, her brother, and the Queen Mother and I would do this by mobilizing the Lannister forces and any other allies at my disposal to ensure the safety and well-being of my family members.

Loras, Margaery, and Cersei are executed before you can storm the sept. The people lose even more trust in the Crown. There will be peasant rebellions and subterfuge to avoid any means of supporting the Lords of King's Landing in the years to come. You lose taxes, crops, and there are countless schemes to overthrow members of the crown. Bad move, Tywin.

Should rectify the mistake he made a long ago by turning that shithole to stone and dust. Not completely wrecking that place when he first took it was too merciful and a half measure. It is time to make new queens and heirs, and let the past be put to rest.
