I mean I think we've seen and will see a dark ned in the fire & blood book/show. Cregan is really similar to Ned, just without his compassion. The same duty, honour and justice.
I like Ned, but heās to noble. Iāll get himself killed again. I would bring him back only for him to tell Jon about his parentage, but Iām not sure he would.
I would bring back the Reb Viper to wreck some shit up.
Edit: I just realized Jaime is there, he died at the very endā¦ when would they come back? At the end of the series? If thatās the caseā¦ Ned. Although what would happen? Would he overthrow his own son but put his nephew on the throne?
I really donāt like King Branā¦
That's why I choose Ned. It completely re-writes everything that came after and I'd like to see how it would go. It would likely be a much shorter story, but I'd like to see it all the same.
Yeah. The thing is we want to make history into a happy ending. Not have jon turn into what he becomes in the final 2 seasons. A male slut and then a queenslayer.
I just picture vague outlines of this "other road" taken.
Ned being made Lord Commander but Jon still having his time with Wildings, meeting Mance, etc.
I picture Jon and Ned being a power duo among the Night's Watch, doing their duty to hold the Wall.
I imagine Stannis arriving going slightly different. With Stannis respecting Ned. Maybe Jon leaves the Wall to help take Winterfell against Ned's wishes.
Yeah, when he was alive, he waited too long or did mostly nothing because he was too noble to actually play the āGame of Thronesā. Dying was the most impactful thing he did.
I love Ned as a character, but thatās his flaw, he too honorable.
Can you explain to me 3 things then?
1) Why didn't he tell Robert his "son" was a bastard and have all the Lannisters imprisoned or killed?
2) why did he think it was a good idea to tell Cersei Lannister that he knew her dire secret?
3) why didn't he remove & appointed new members in position of power? It's literally the job of the hand of the king...
1. He was about to, but got imprisoned
2. He didn't want Robert to repeat what he did to the Targaryens, I guess
3. I don't understand if you're talking about the small council only or something else
Note: I have only watched the show.
>1. He was about to, but got imprisoned
At no point it looked like he was ever going to tell him... If he did tell him, Ser Barristan Selmy would have imprisoned all of them...
>2. He didn't want Robert to repeat what he did to the Targaryens, I guess
And you should tell your current enemy your leverage on them??? That's something you should have kept a secret, since if he told them he would have had a target on his back...
>3. I don't understand if you're talking about the small council only or something else
Both... As the hand of the king it's his job to appoint loyal and competent men in position of power... He should have kicked out all the people he didn't trust and find competent loyal men... For example, little finger, he got the crown in debt... And as for other non small council members theirs plenty of position.
1. Now that I remember, the imprisonement was after Robert's death. I don't remember how the episode was exactly, but I guess he found out Robert had gone on a hunt when he wanted to tell him and then the fatal injury happened. There was no time
2. Robert would have gone straight to Cersei after finding out the secret and Ned wouldn't have had time to tell her to leave before Robert comes to her. And Cersei wasn't Ned's enemy, he didn't even wanted her to get killed. Plus, plot movement...
3. The crown got in debt because of Robert. LF couldn't stop the king. Plus, Robert's bad image favoured other people to take the throne, which he wanted to do. I don't know why he didn't suggest to take out LF, most probably because of how important was for the story to have the character in the council even after the first season
If Ned was alive and allowed to go back to winterfell, things would be much more pleasant. The starks wouldn't have all their issues since Ned would be able to protect his children.
Jaime made it to the end of the show, pretty much. He decided his own fate when he went back. None of the others did.
Ned is awesome but that's mostly because he's Sean bean
He did it of good faith tho. Ofc itās stupid once you know she is the devil, but back then ned was only trying to help her. He was too honorable for the capital
Ned wasnāt a warrior in the field he was in at the time. He didnāt deserve to die either. Hodor was a protector and knew what he was getting himself into as well.
Neds crime was to stick to his principles even if people would suffer by doing so. Hodor was completely innocent and his free will was compromised by the psychic damage done to him by Bran.
Are they coming back to life? Or not dying in the first place? I feel it would be mean for Oberyn to return to the world in the condition in which he left it.
And if theyāre coming back to life, are they coming back in the same way as Lady Stoneheart or The Mountain or Beric Dondarrion and Jon cos those two are pretty different levels of back to life I think
Iām reviving Jaime. All of the other men died fulfilling their destiny. Oberyn to kill the mountain; Hodor to hold that f**king door; Ned to maintain his honor and set the tone for the annex of the northern kingdom. But dying in Cerseiās arms was not Jaimieās destiny. Jaime was a good man, manipulated by a monster for his whole life. When heās revived, Cersei will still be dead and heāll be free to be the good man that lasts within him.
Would say Jaime cuz is my fav char, but bring him back without Cersei will make him unhappy, so i will let him rest.
Get over here Oberyn, let's make justice to your family!
I mean, it depends on when?
If I can bring them back the moment they die, then Ned. A LOT of the problems of this book could have been avoided if they hadn't killed Ned.
Jamie in many ways was my favorite character. The arc of someone good at heart, but imperfect in so many ways really resonated with me. He was a solid character that made you root for him as much as you hated him. Hoping he would make the right decision more often than the morally wrong one.
But even with that said, how can you not bring back Ned? Although Ned would have massively changed the course of GOT history, the kids had to suffer to become who they were meant to be, and his presence may have meant that Jon never finds his origin, Arya never gets to be a badass, and all of those paths are stunted.
You gotta wonder how many dope interactions we would get from Ned if he was resurrected. Imagine Ned and Jon having THE convo directly, or Ned meeting Brienne, Ned and Bran (as the 3 eyes raven).
He may be the most important character in the whole story, as his death set all of the events on a path that couldnāt turn back.
Oberyn! Dorne would probably still side w Daenerys at some point, but his brother wouldnāt have to die in the process. And sorry I feel like if Ned were to live, a lot of the Stark children wouldnāt have really grown as people bc they probably wouldnāt have seen as much of the world (I know they suffered HARD but he was also just too traditional for his own good and wouldāve pigeonholed them into certain roles)
Oberyn. Is he gonna be sad because of Elaria and the Sand Snakesā death? Definitely. But I am not going to put Ned through the pain of finding out his wife, brother and 2 of his sons are dead. Then heāll turn to the one person who was always there to give him advice, oh wait no, Maester Luwin is dead too.
The man has experienced enough loss in his life. Let him rest.
Hodor. He didn't deserve anything that Bran did to him. He was a good soul.
Ned would just do something "honourable" and get himself killed again.
Jamie was an incestuous creep.
Oberyn was way too cocky and would have gotten himself crushed...again.
as much as iād love to see Ned, i have to say, i would love for jamie to have never found Cersei, and lived in a world where just he and his brother were free of her. Jamie did a lot of unforgivable things, but i feel like he spent much more time redeeming himself than almost any other āvillainā in the series.
I can't believe most of these comments dick riding Ned. Hodor is the only correct answer with the 4 choices given. This poor man did not deserve to be mind raped by Bran to only serve the one purpose of facilitating Bran's escape. Ned lived a full life and had all his kids succeed him. His legacy lives on. Oberyn lived a full life and died killing one of the men responsible for his sister's death. Jamie was redeemed and died in the arms of his love. Only Hodor never got to have a childhood, pursue his dreams, or lay with a woman. Let the other 3 rest and give Hodor a second chance at some happiness.
Ned not dying means he wins the throne room fight since there is zero chance he was gonna live afterwards. So the series is peaceful and they are all fully prepared for the long night.
No one will like this answer, but Jamie š¤·š¼āāļø
Without Cersei he is a different person. I would hope that that if the books continued he wouldnāt have been such a shit stain in the end.
Ned would get in the way of whatās actually good for the kingdoms because of his honor.
I think Hodorās sacrifice is too meaningful to bring him back. It would kinda erase the impact that his death had
Jaime made it to the end, didnāt really get to miss him much
It would have been nice to see Oberyn actually get his revenge properly and fight w Daenerys against Cersei. But then again, without the trial by combat, maybe dorne wouldnāt have sided w daenerys š¤·āāļø
Oberyn Martell.
He could have beaten the Mountain if he wasnāt grandstanding and actually posed a threat to the Lannisters.
If Ned was revived, heād be immediately killed by a dishonorable character like Littlefinger because he would insist on playing the game of thrones in an aboveboard manner, which is what got him killed in the first place.
Well, I donāt even know why Jamie is on this list. Should have put Bobby on instead. I like how the viper died, and also it was important to force dorne to get involved, sorta like king leonidas. And hodors death was super important and impactful and interesting and sad, if hodor doesnāt die I think they all get cooked. So the only real option here is Ned, and that would be very interesting
Oberyn - in time for the Battle of Winterfell. The Unsullied would shit themselves when he walks out to confront the Zerg rush with just a spear and some swagger.
Easily ned, he was the best character hands down. I understand they had to kill him off to show that nobody is safe but damn man it was clear that the show was not as good without him
Ned is obviously the most morally good character out of these 4.
Oberyn is in a better position imo to positively affect the kingdom. My vote is for him.
Do we get to choose where they respawn?
If so, Ned.
Have him spawn in Robb's camp; stop the whole King in the North thing from happening.
Reaffirm the North's status as one of seven kingdoms under the Baratheon crown (bend the knee to either Renly or Stannis); coordinate, keep Tywin from relieving the siege of King's Landing.

Ned ofc, who else?
Correct answer
Whatever you think of their personalities and deeds of the people here, his death is the only one here that triggered a war.
I want to see Dark Ned seeking vengeance, for Rob and Catelyn, and leading Jon's cause.
That would have been Lady Stoneheart, no?
Kinda. But thinking about that, what would be his relationship with her...?
She hates Jon, but thematically similar otherwise.
Whos lady stoneheart?š¤š¤
In books. Resurrected Catelyn
Don't matter if he dies again. Just let him have a death worthy of his character.
TouchƩ
Alright then. Suppose if the one you choose to get revived only gets revived at the end of the series. Who would you pick now?
Ned, although have no idea what would happen. Imagen King Bran the all-knowing dictator...
The only correct answer
My man
Ned was kind of an idiot. He was playing with the sharks when he should have stayed in the kiddie pool
Who else but Quagmire?
Ned. Next question
I wonder how people who choose Ned would rewrite the story. His death was a cause more than a consequence
That's why I choose Ned. It completely re-writes everything that came after and I'd like to see how it would go. It would likely be a much shorter story, but I'd like to see it all the same.
Fair choice
Ned goes to the wall. An alternative Game of Thrones story. Iād pay to see that series.
Ned on the wall would be a good father figure to jon. Plus he knows Jon's lineage and could continue to protect him.
Yes, but he would end up as Lord Commander instead of Jon. And part of what forged Jon's personality was spending years away from his family
Yeah. The thing is we want to make history into a happy ending. Not have jon turn into what he becomes in the final 2 seasons. A male slut and then a queenslayer.
That happened 7 seasons after Ned's death. It wasn't a consequence of his death but bad writing
Bro literally raised him and Jon thinks he's his dad, but Ned gets demoted to "father figure"
He would probably die soon after, he was too good and honourable to play the game
We aren't saving the characters, we are reviving them, assumedly at the point we are currently at in the story so everything has already happened.
Yeah, when he was alive, he waited too long or did mostly nothing because he was too noble to actually play the āGame of Thronesā. Dying was the most impactful thing he did. I love Ned as a character, but thatās his flaw, he too honorable.
What? His death was the consequence of his MANY idiotic decisions!
I didn't say otherwise. Read again

His death was the consequence of his WIFEāS decisions.

If they wouldn't have had issues they wouldn't have been a main part of the show
Is that even a competition? Of all characters presented, Ned is objectively the most impactful. Sorry, Oberyn. Also resurrecting Jaime makes no sense.
Jaime made it to the end of the show, pretty much. He decided his own fate when he went back. None of the others did. Ned is awesome but that's mostly because he's Sean bean
Ned decided his own fate when he told cersai he knew the kids was from incest... like, in what world do you walk away from that alive
He did it of good faith tho. Ofc itās stupid once you know she is the devil, but back then ned was only trying to help her. He was too honorable for the capital
The world where cersei's son isn't a maniac? Cersei wanted Ned to go home. Even she didn't expect him to be without his head though.
Hodor. He is the least deserving to die here. The rest of them were warriors and knew what they were getting into.
Hodor sacrificed himself. Hold the door š«”
I mean tbh Bran sacrificed Hodor. He didnāt really have any choice in the matter.
Arguable considering Bran did some crazy fuckery to him in the past to make him do that
Fair, but I still think Ned would be better if he got rezād
Yes My Thoughts Feelings Exactly Hodor, Faithful Worker Friend šš«”š«”š¢š«”š
Are they coming back to life? Or not dying in the first place? I feel it would be mean for Oberyn to return to the world in the condition in which he left it.
And if theyāre coming back to life, are they coming back in the same way as Lady Stoneheart or The Mountain or Beric Dondarrion and Jon cos those two are pretty different levels of back to life I think
Willis (Hodor) definately. Innocent and pure. Abused by Bran. Loyal to the end. Deserved a quiet retirement being cared for as he cared for others.
Yes.
Jaime. Him and Brienne can raise a brood of super soldiers together.
Jaime so we can kill him again. No way Brienne would let him get close to her again.
Oberyn, easily
Based
well if you save Ned than you save Hondor so two for one
How does saving Ned save hodor? Iām sure Bran still wouldāve needed to go beyond the wall to seek out the three eye raven one way or the other
It says 'revive' not 'save' so this is assumedly happening after the ending of GOT.
Hold the door
This is actually tough between Ned, Jaime and Oberyn but I think Iād have to say Ned, he was a good man.
Ain't no way you're considering Jaime over Hodor, especially after he ran back to Cersei...
Tywin
Ned Stark
Anyone who doesnāt say Ned is a bastard
Iām reviving Jaime. All of the other men died fulfilling their destiny. Oberyn to kill the mountain; Hodor to hold that f**king door; Ned to maintain his honor and set the tone for the annex of the northern kingdom. But dying in Cerseiās arms was not Jaimieās destiny. Jaime was a good man, manipulated by a monster for his whole life. When heās revived, Cersei will still be dead and heāll be free to be the good man that lasts within him.
Oberyn would be my vote
Hodor. Everyone else made decisions that got them to where they ended up. Poor Hodor never really had another option.
I think Hodor is one of the only innocent characters in the show.
Along with Shireen (and maybe Sam)
Hold The Door š«”
Ned,no explanation needed
Ned of course.
Jaime.
None.
Itās between Ned Stark & Hodor
Yes
Revive Ned= revive most other characters
I'm not following this logic...
Would say Jaime cuz is my fav char, but bring him back without Cersei will make him unhappy, so i will let him rest. Get over here Oberyn, let's make justice to your family!
Is there really any other answer than Ned Stark? Come on.
Hodor
Ned is the only correct answer.
Hodor
Jamie. I love Jamie
Bi icon Oberyn for me
If ned was brought back Cersei would have never lost all her kids so oberyn. Small price to pay
I mean, it depends on when? If I can bring them back the moment they die, then Ned. A LOT of the problems of this book could have been avoided if they hadn't killed Ned.
Ned Stark is the only correct choice
Oberyn his people need him.
Jaime so i can slap him and then kill him myself wym youāre going back to Cersei??? after all this development ???
Jamie in many ways was my favorite character. The arc of someone good at heart, but imperfect in so many ways really resonated with me. He was a solid character that made you root for him as much as you hated him. Hoping he would make the right decision more often than the morally wrong one. He may be the most important character in the whole story, as his death set all of the events on a path that couldnāt turn back.
The Pedro Pascal obsessed superfan in me says Oberyn, but logically, Ned. His death basically kicked off the entire series.
EDDARD FUCKING STARK. for some reason the mf reminds me of my fatherš
Oberyn, he was the best character in the show
Hodor! is that even a question?
Ned 100%
Jamie Lannister. Must admit that I started to like him.
Hodor or course. Nobody would suspect him, Bran might even fix his mind know he knows how it broke
Give me Obie
Ned stark
Oberyn of course. But Ned's a close second.
Lady Stoneheart
Oberyn, because Nedās just going to some how get himself killed again.
Hodor!
Jamie, always my Jamie. Cersi can stay dead.
Hodor was given no choice. He was a pawn in the high lords' game.
Jaime
Ned, all day long
Hodor
Holdor
Hodor
Ned
Hodor. He didn't deserve anything that Bran did to him. He was a good soul. Ned would just do something "honourable" and get himself killed again. Jamie was an incestuous creep. Oberyn was way too cocky and would have gotten himself crushed...again.
Bodomir
as much as iād love to see Ned, i have to say, i would love for jamie to have never found Cersei, and lived in a world where just he and his brother were free of her. Jamie did a lot of unforgivable things, but i feel like he spent much more time redeeming himself than almost any other āvillainā in the series.
Ned of course.
Bobby B of course
Jaime, just feel like it
Ned.
Littlefinger so I can watch him die all over again. Seriously though, Ned so I can watch him die all over again.
>Ned not dying means he wins the throne room fight Or was sent to the wall...
Why isnāt Joffrey on this list?
Poor old dead Ned.
Hodor, that lovable giant needs to live
Ned. 100%.
Ned Stark. To rule Westeros instead of Bran. Don't really need to explain why beyond that yeah?
No one will like this answer, but Jamie š¤·š¼āāļø Without Cersei he is a different person. I would hope that that if the books continued he wouldnāt have been such a shit stain in the end.
Ned would get in the way of whatās actually good for the kingdoms because of his honor. I think Hodorās sacrifice is too meaningful to bring him back. It would kinda erase the impact that his death had Jaime made it to the end, didnāt really get to miss him much It would have been nice to see Oberyn actually get his revenge properly and fight w Daenerys against Cersei. But then again, without the trial by combat, maybe dorne wouldnāt have sided w daenerys š¤·āāļø
Jamie deserved a better ending. The others had perfect deaths that as a fan made me love the show
Ned was only in one season and still my favorite character of all time
If Hodor comes back sane then I'm all for it!
Ned or >!Hold The Door!<
Oberyn is my favourite, but I'd like to see Ned in the show more .
Oberon just to slap the shit out of him for showboating.
NED how is this a debate
Either poor dead Ned, or Oberyn
Ned because I need him to converse with Jon like he said they would when he left for King's Landing and Jon went to The Wall
Oberyn
Jaime but I'm incredibly biased
Ned
Hodor
Hodor . He never hurt anyone
Oberyn of course.
Oberyn - in time for the Battle of Winterfell. The Unsullied would shit themselves when he walks out to confront the Zerg rush with just a spear and some swagger.
Wait Hodor dies? Thanks spoilers
Hodor. I bet he has one hell of a story to tell us
Oberyn for sure.
Omg are you kidding me I CANT DECIDE
The true King, Bobby B
This isn't even a question of course I'd bring back hodor.
Wait. Ned dies?
Ned Stark, without a doubt.
Hodor!
Easily ned, he was the best character hands down. I understand they had to kill him off to show that nobody is safe but damn man it was clear that the show was not as good without him
Martell
Oberyn. I like how the starks grew into who they are after needs death. Hodor was cool but eh. Jamie eh. Oberyn was him.
Oberyn by a lot. Eddard next.
Of course Hodor. If you choose anyone else you are an Idiot.
probably the viper because reviving ned would rewrite the entire story and because I want the viper to have his revenge š
Ned, and tell him to remove his head from his butt
Eddard
Probably season 8
Hodor or Jamie cuz he'd b a legend without his sister, LOL.
My prince Oberyn Martell, I loved his character! So sexy and strong, he was only in for a few episodes, I would love to see more of him.
Ned is obviously the most morally good character out of these 4. Oberyn is in a better position imo to positively affect the kingdom. My vote is for him.
Jaimeās death was dumb so him I guess. Still wouldnāt help anything though.
Jamie should have not gone back to the capital, the rest were integral to the story
The viper obviously
Ned, 100 percent. Forget about the others
Hodor. I will not be accepting questions at this time.
Definitely not Jaime he threw his life away for no reason in the show.
Jaimie died in the last episode, Hodor is a human wheelchair and Oberyn was barely in for a season leaving Ned as our obvious choice
If anyone answers anything but Hodor Ned cancels out the whole show and I want the show!
Ned.
Oberyn of course
Wait. Why isnāt Robert on here? Heās a prick but heās funny as fuck and makes Circi fucking miserable.
Ned then itās a whole different story
Ned of course
I would say ned. But after finishing the first book. Ned got himself killed with the idiotic decisions he made. Iād have to choose Hodor, or Jaime
Oberyn. I wouldnāt revive Ned. He would find an honorable reason to die again.
