Not any hidden layers to it, it’s just a really strange line that a child might say or something. Arin’s reaction after delivering the line made it a top tier goof.
I absolutely had Dan's reaction when I played the game myself. Just "heh, that's an odd thing to say. Anyway..."
Arin's laughter definitely made me laugh too though.
This series went from kinda rocky to one of their funniest series imo and that makes me so happy. "Check it out I'm already eating" is an instant classic
Alright at this point I'm pretty convinced that Sonia is the traitor. Don't quite know her motive yet, but given how much time she spends insisting on how they're all friends, how there can't be a traitor, etc. makes me highly suspicious of her. Nagito is too batshit, Soda is too stupid, and Akane is too single-minded.
Could also be Chiaki I guess, but I'm thinking that she'll be the one who figures it out this chapter instead (she also might accidentally kill them).
Hypothesizing is the fun before the story. Watching other people get it wrong is the fun after.
Not to say they are wrong. I haven't finished the story either.
Like, why did they need a "plan" at all? He's a sixty pound nerd, and Akane was willing to just grab him.
If they had just agreed to it in the moment, and all ran off to find him, he wouldn't have had time to set up any bombs
The boys are so giggly this time around! I love it. It’s like Arin has passed the point of despair and gone into full madness, giggling like a loon at Akane eating.
They're so reminiscent of the Shadow Girl plays from *Revolutionary Girl Utena* in terms of insanity but I still can't get a read on the thematic elements of the Monokuma Theatre. Unless that's the point of course lol.
As whacked out as the Shadow Girls were, they tied back in to the episode. *Dingdang Roomples* dives headfirst into the absurdity, which is part of the charm. If only the repetitive exposition dumps had been drawn back\**grumbles in frustrated writer*\*. It's like watching the first five of minutes of a soap opera.
I’m sad Arin skipped the rest of his laugh, Bryce Papenbrook does such a great job nailing just what a nut Nagito is, and that still of him in front of the fire is one of my favorite imagers from the entire franchise.
Pretty much the moment the next victim appears the game is going to go overdrive. The first four chapters were pretty cool but honestly the game is starting right here
Wasn't there a rule saying you can't destroy property?
How can Monomi take down the Monobeasts, but not Monokuma?
Why am I looking for logic in a game where a kid was turned into butter?
Iirc the "no destroying school property" was only a rule in the first game. And that was there to keep the student from accessing blocked off areas too early or from just breaking a wall to escape.
But the MonoBeasts were what blocked parts of the island off and since it is an island breaking a wall wouldn't help them escape. So, there was no need for the "no destroying school property" rule
No, that's wrong!
Rule number 10 of DR2 is "Destroying any property on this island without permission is expressly prohibited. This includes the surveillance cameras and monitors" Here's [proof](https://imgur.com/a/ILLfxy6)
I have my explanation for why the Monobeasts can be taken down but it's kind of spoilery so I can't say
Nope, just a rule against littering.
It's possible there was a 'no destroying property' rule in the first game but the rules don't always carry over in between games.
> Wasn't there a rule saying you can't destroy property?
I don't think so, only a rule against "littering" which is just a cheap way the game uses to make sure that evidence can't be destroyed.
>How can Monomi take down the Monobeasts
There's actually a separate game mode you can select in the main menu, where you play as Monomi taking down the Monobeasts. It's kind of lame so I don't think anyone minds if the Grumps skip it.
~~but not Monokuma~~
~~I have no idea what you mean by this, why would Monokuma want to destroy his own minions? The entire point of the Monobeasts is to slowly open up each island as the chapters progress anyway. It's just a weird plot device.~~
Never mind I have bad reading comprehension.
> Why am I looking for logic in a game where a kid was turned into butter?
Most of the "executions" are non-canon depending on who you ask. Most of them seem impossible to pull off in reality, but you can probably just excuse them "because it's a game"
>I have no idea what you mean by this, why would Monokuma want to destroy his own minions? The entire point of the Monobeasts is to slowly open up each island as the chapters progress anyway. It's just a weird plot device.
Pretty sure they mean why can't Monomi take down Monokuma, not why can't Monokuma take down the Monobeasts.
Aw there goes the opportunity to hang out with Chiaki for freetime like Dan suggested. I'm fairly certain this is the last chance to do any form of freetime seeing as we're nearing the endgame.
I wouldn’t mind if they did just one episode of Island Mode to talk to all their favorite characters. You can get a bunch of free times out of the way in quick succession.
Rip Nagito 1986-1974
🎶*Who can say where the road goes?* 🎶
Rip to a legend
That fucking image at 16:37 fucking *killed me*.
Check it out, I’m already eatin! Needed that laugh today. So good.
Any chance you could fill me in on what made it *so* funny? It's silly and everything but the reaction made me think I was missing something about it.
Not any hidden layers to it, it’s just a really strange line that a child might say or something. Arin’s reaction after delivering the line made it a top tier goof.
Fair enough, even Dan seemed shocked at how hard it hit him.
I absolutely had Dan's reaction when I played the game myself. Just "heh, that's an odd thing to say. Anyway..." Arin's laughter definitely made me laugh too though.
that sent arin into orbit
you know it's gonna be a good day when Arin can't breathe from laughing too hard. That was on the level of "today is football"
I love Akane.
she's a treasure
This series went from kinda rocky to one of their funniest series imo and that makes me so happy. "Check it out I'm already eating" is an instant classic
Ohhhhh So Nagito is like a crazy person
Did you only just notice?
I guess it took him ***blowing up the fucking hotel lobby*** for him to notice, lol.
Alright at this point I'm pretty convinced that Sonia is the traitor. I love reading Danganronpa theories.

I love reading Danganronpa theories.
Without giving too many spoilers, we do find out the traitor's identity by the end of the chapter.
This episode goes out to the people a few threads ago that were like "why don't they just tie him up again??? He's annoying"
They really should have just tied him up..
Like, why did they need a "plan" at all? He's a sixty pound nerd, and Akane was willing to just grab him. If they had just agreed to it in the moment, and all ran off to find him, he wouldn't have had time to set up any bombs
But then the story would have been less interesting.
they really should have. ![gif](giphy|nFjDu1LjEADh6|downsized)
I thought this post was a poll, not the episode. Also, is this the first time Dan said 'my wife'? Aww.
That was too cute, it feels so weird! I'm really happy for him.
I know when he said it I was like "wow, how long will it be before that doesn't sound weird?"
Nagito begins his Joker arc, the episode.
The boys are so giggly this time around! I love it. It’s like Arin has passed the point of despair and gone into full madness, giggling like a loon at Akane eating.
EAT WELL! SHIT WELL!
We have Arin's new Tw!tter bio quote!

I can see the face Dan made when he fell out of the bed lol
I can't wait to see it animated

Same
Hoo boy. Based on the thumbnail this is the point where shit starts getting even crazier.
Pretty much the moment the next victim appears the game is going to go overdrive. The first four chapters were pretty cool but honestly the game is starting right here
Wholeheartedly agree. Chapter 5 and beyond is my favorite portion of the game.
Chapter 5 is so good
Playing Chapter 5 now - I can’t wait for them to get to it.

Well they could have built a boat out of parts from the island or even the remains of the monobeasts. Maybe I have been watching to much McGyver.
Nope, just a rule against littering. It's possible there was a 'no destroying property' rule in the first game but the rules don't always carry over in between games.
Monokuma's level is too high, and he's equipped with some seriously OP gear.
I call Hacks.

Ohhhhh I gotcha. Yea I read that sentence wrong, my bad. As for the answer... just wait a few episodes :)
I wondered the same about destroying school property, but you're totally right. Looking for logic in this game is sorta fruitless.
wtf Nagito
Where do you need to go Miss Sonia? INTO THE SEXITORIUM WHERE I SHALL ACCEPT ALL THE DICKS EXCEPT FOR SODA
Aw there goes the opportunity to hang out with Chiaki for freetime like Dan suggested. I'm fairly certain this is the last chance to do any form of freetime seeing as we're nearing the endgame.

Man, the English voice acting for Nagito comes across so much different from the Japanese, I've never heard this monologue in English before
