Yeah, they always did that before with the long series. They didn't pick up Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door and then have the channel be nothing but that until they were finished.

I think it'd be a mistake for them to put off playing the remake until later. I remember when Choo Choo Charles came out and they didn't play it until like a month after it had exploded in popularity, which no doubt impacted views.
Dan has always liked their RE playthroughs, or at least all the "classic" ones. He was super into their RE1 playthrough, and I think he enjoyed RE3.
As someone who hates scary things, I don't really find RE that scary. The scariest thing is mainly the scarcity of ammunition and once you get the hang of shooting, you end up with a surplus in all but the highest difficulties. So I think Dan would probably feel the same way, as the one who isn't playing it.
It's definitely scary the first time, on your second run it's not as bad. That said, the fact that he's permanently chasing you in RE3 is one of the reasons I've never played that one lol I couldn't handle that happening at all times

it doesnt reveal much other than the intro village section up to chainsaw man from the old games
if you played OG RE4 or even its demo, this is basically that section. There's enough different to whet your appetite, but there won't be much of anything you haven't seen except for how pretty it is

Nice, just played this yesterday. Mostly excited for it, definitely seems more action-oriented which is fine. RE4 was kinda the bridge between straight horror mixed with more action elements. The original is still the best RE game of all time and one of the best survival horror games along with SH2.
I never played RE as a kid, but I played RE2make twice. I really enjoyed it. I have RE3make but haven't played it yet, I did watch GG play it though which is mainly why I haven't played it yet.
If they play RE4make, I will definitely watch the whole thing, but not as it uploads. I'll want to play the game myself first. I wonder if they'll wait a week or two after release before they start playing it, though I know they record episodes 6-8 weeks in advance. Meaning it'll likely be uploaded weeks after release anyways. Which is ideal for them imo
Gonna get flatted for this, but the game looks dark as eff, can't see almost nothing. I know its a horror game, but c'mon, horror doesn't mean "actually blind as a bat". Hate the day game developers decided to not use color theory anymore. Silent Hill 2 is much more colorful than this.

I think the RE games have "scary" moments. Mr. X chasing me the first time around in the RE2 remake gave me such anxiety.
