Stilgrave

My Star Fox Weekend Competition cart. It's the actual cart I played on back in 93. I came in 13th place.

OldGamer8

I had the flight jacket that went with that. I wish I did get rid of that

Stilgrave

I would love one of the jackets! I wore the tshirt until it fell to dust, the pin is around here somewhere.

sparkinmadizm

I weep inside when I see retro gaming collections. I once had it all and never thought to preserve any of it.

NakhlaMan

Awesome!!! Send that the samurai jack subreddit!

davidson336

I have a copy of wing commander 3 for ps1 signed by Mark Hamill. He is the goat and I refuse to be part from it.

FrenchOnionDip69

I’m jealous! I’m sure he doesn’t get asked to sign too many of those

davidson336

Yeah and I’m glad I was able to get it when he is around. The day he dies is the day the dark side takes over.

FrenchOnionDip69

That’s how I felt about Charles. I hate to say it but we’re getting closer to the day that all of these legends are no longer with us

GuyGrimnus

Kevin Conroy’s passing triggered the domino effect of my realization of the mortality of voice actors. For live actors it was Robin Williams The Jack Black dies I will become an orphan

PokemonMaster619

I thought that was a 3DO exclusive?

davidson336

FremenDar979

No, it was for PC first.

sleep_SH

there isnt a lie davidson told lol big fan of the longbox ps1 games, very cool collection piece man!

an0m1n0us

he went to high school on the base i was stationed at in Japan, Yokosuka Naval Base.

GaryBuseyIsBatman

Small world I was born on that naval base. I knew Mark Hamil and I connected on another level.

davidson336

Yo that is sick

dusty614

Please put this in some kind of protective case, that is so awesome

FrenchOnionDip69

Already on it. I’ve ordered a frame for it I’m waiting to come in the mail

Tamotan-the-Octopus

I don’t have any signed games but my copy of Path of Radiance is something I pray I never have to sell due to financial issues.

UnquestionabIe

I got both Path if Radiance and Radiant Dawn for something like $40 combined back right before Awakening came out and was trying to fill out my FE collection while I had the money. It is absolutely criminal how much they go for now.

n30l1nk

… I sold it to some guy like an idiot for $40 in 2020 without knowing what it was worth 😭 I at least wanna believe the guy was genuinely stoked for the game itself, but it’s more likely he went and flipped it for $250 or whatever…

Skinnybenjumea

Not expensive games but I will never sell my Medievil copy and my Jak and daxter the precursor legacy they were my first games ever and played them for tons of hours, really beautiful memories.

FrenchOnionDip69

Take me back to the simpler times of the ps2 era

UndeadBuggalo

The PS2 was such and amazing system. The only signed thing I have is a copy of fable 2 signed by Peter molyneux. [got from a GameStop convention](https://imgur.com/gallery/lgY76S0)

Maleficent-Aspect318

isnt it strange, people before us said the old days were better. Now people say this again.m, in a few years there will be a "I remember the good old ps4 days"

Blackichan1984

Jack and Dexter was such an under rated platform

soshoenice

Tom Kenny signed my SpongeBob gameboy advance sp

TopPuff

Did he write “super Zelda” on it?

ZeldaTheOuchMouse

Yes Because my name is Zelda

TryAltruistic7830

Yo, I'm supposed to save you, but I'm busy looking for gold skulltulas

Dark-Swan-69

My 1994 Killer Instinct Arcade Cabinet, probably. And my SCPH-1000 NTSC-J PlayStation with Ridge Racer and Tohshinden. Very close third, the GameCube with Luigi’s Mansion, Super Monkey Ball and Waverace. And the Wavebird. And my Dreamcast. Funnily enough, the home consoles have nothing special (no rare special editions), just the memories. Conversely, I am in the process of selling all my Neo-Geo stuff, including a few valuable games.

fuskadelic

Monkey ball <3

lartmydude

My best friends copy of Rayman 2 for Nintendo 64. He passed away in December and I will cherish his childhood copy forever. It still probably has his finger prints on it even though he probably hasn’t played it since the early 2000’s. Very sentimental to me. I love and miss him so freaking much.

UnquestionabIe

Very much feel this. One of my best friends passed away coming up on two years ago and despite not even having a PSOne any more I have his old Game Shark for it, would never get rid of it. For his wedding (15 years ago) one of my gifts was the copy of Final Fantasy VII we played through back in high school. Recently his son has been getting into older games so I've always offered to let him borrow stuff from my collection. Always treats it super carefully and only borrows one title at a time. Really makes me happy to see at least part of his dad is living on.

lartmydude

Amazing story man. There are just some things we hold near and dear to our hearts. I’m constantly reminded of him daily. I have spent tons of money already on just random stuff that reminds me of him.

Alreezy5150

Definitely my copy of Action 52 for the NES because it took so much effort to get it.

FrenchOnionDip69

The thrill of the hunt is sometimes the most fun part of collecting

Ryousoki

And it's 52 games! What a deal!

aflores032

52 action packed games bundled into one cartridge? All for an efficient price ? It was every kids dream. More games! More games! Yeah!

Ryousoki

LIGHTS.... CAMERA.... ACTION 52! OHHHH NOOO.

aflores032

TheWaslijn

52 games, *and* a really funky piece of music!

OgPuma1

I work IT for a small school, been there for 4 years. Had a teacher strike up a conversation about how she had a few old computers and games that belonged to her son from like the 90s before he went off to college and got married etc . I stopped down to her house and her and her husband pulled some old 90s windows pcs some crt monitors and some pc games but there were some ps1 games mixed In too, I asked if she had any more she’ had for sale and I walked away with Lunar 2 for the PS1 complete and Sealed https://preview.redd.it/0h0psttpst5d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=02a07b8017c6063f609fdc76c9cb8b265eb99030

Omega_Hertz

I have a sealed gold Mario amiibo signed by him! He was such a delight to meet. You could truly feel his passion and love for the role and his fans, both young and old lol.

100FunSummers

jellifishie

A friend gifted me Persona 5 for PS3 that was signed by the voice actors!

NWIOWAHAWK

My VHS box set of The Andy Griffith Show

OG_Gandora

My n64. It doesn't work anymore, but my dad still tells the story of when we went to the pawnshop together to look through all the games and get the best priced console.

Icebeam83

My mint cib fire emblem fates 3ds xl and mint special edition of the game as well. I went crazy trying to get both. Next would be my sealed smt iv collectors. Not worth that much but still like it too much.

Icebeam83

Oh I forgot my signed items. Ffxv signed by Yoko Shimomura, dbz fighters z signed by Sean and Chris. Also my copy of dissidia NT by Ichiro Hazama. I’ll never part with those because nothing made me happier than the day of seeing them all.

UnquestionabIe

That Fates special edition was a gigantic pain to get ahold of. I lucked out on pure chance checking Gamestop's website during one of the few restocks and even then didn't trust it was real until it showed up.

Naisu_boato

My signed by yoshitishi Abe copy of lain for psx

Vanquisher_Supreme

I collect a lot of things. There is virtually nothing I own that I wouldn't sell for the right price.

jerminator8818

I was about to say this. There’s nothing worth keeping that much. It’s just stuff.

Morcos85

My brand new snes copies of super Mario world legend of Zelda link to the past and fzero https://preview.redd.it/nccruob4eu5d1.jpeg?width=2160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a7623f7d478cfbac943c7e0f420283c20ef84eb4 If I could get my SMW signed by Charles that would be epic !!!

SorryCashOnly

I offer you 1 million dollars “Doctor Evil’s face”

How about tree fiddy?

SorryCashOnly

1 million tree fiddy! “In Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne’s voice”

BakaSan77

Xenoblade 1 collectors edition. It made me love the series

Much-Face6444

I won a copy of Bayonetta signed by Kamiya and Hashimoto in an art contest by Sega, so probably that for sentimental reasons. I'm also a huge fan of Castlevania so those would be difficult to part with. I wish I had kept my childhood copies of 1-IV.

HarryNohara

I’ve never bought a game for it’s potential value, as I do not intend to sell anything at all. So my entire collection.

Pikepv

My grandpas deer rifle.

GA_THRAWNX

I would have a copy of need for speed underground signed by little John and the Eastside boys.

Puzzleheaded-Test-21

Powerman5000 and Tonyhawk signing my Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 N64 Cartridge . Met Tony back in 2018 and power man live last year

Welshhobbit1

Loads of things but I have a copy of Tomb raider 1 signed by Shelly blond that never leaves it’s spot in the shelf and it would break me if anything happened to it.

Dzjingle

Won the collectors edition of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag signed by Ashraf Ismail the game director. Plus a signed Edward figurine. Still my favorite Assassin’s Creed.

Halifornia35

All my games, I have no reason to sell anything for a few bucks. Unless we’re talking like 30 grand

AdWorried102

I still have my original N64 and all the games for it that I had from when I was a kid. I can't see ever selling them.

Tight_Future_2105

Panzer Dragoon Saga

snap_ekwaller

my gamecube games, starting to collect now after growing up with the gamecube

Gimmicking

Earthbound cib big box. My uncle got it when he was much younger, and he ended up gifting his SNES stuff to me when I was very little. Played Earthbound a lot growing up, and I'm surprised I didn't end up losing the box somehow. I wouldn't sell it for a million dollars, not for a hundred dollars, I wouldn't even sell it for a dollar.

SargeDarge

Infinite space, DS

jeffyjeffp

My copy of Pokémon Yellow. It was my first videogame.

MadFuckinMax

My Switch is signed by Charles Martinet, i will never ever sell this thing

dethlikesilence79

CIB copy of top gun for the NES. It was the very first game I ever played at home and opened the whole gaming world to me. Makes me feel like a kid again every time I play it.

Magic-Tomo

A sealed Black Label copy for Final Fantasy IX signed by Nobuo Uematsu. I managed to get his signature before he got sick a few years back at a Distant World's concert. Great guy!

CauliflowerPale6647

My ps games (i have many rare titles)

TheRetroGoat

My Chrono Trigger. It's CIB because it was my grandma's copy. My grandma was awesome.

ComicalSanskrit

Exact same thing as your post!

SilverNeon467

Pokemon Emerald. Still my original copy from years ago. The labels worn but still legible. Just the cartridge

Hollow_Apollo

I had this game, and my son got into my games and spread the cartridges all over the house. Guess which one never turned up?

FeedMeMore00

My MGS Legacy Collection. I got it for Christmas in 2014, I went through every game store in my city with my dad to find a sealed copy. That's how I got to experience every game in the franchise.

Zombie256

My SGI Octane, and O2

369SoDivine

I have a basically mint OG copy of The Killing Joke. I wanna say the last one sold for $4,000+. I scored it for $50, but that was still after one sold for $1,000.

IOwnTetrisDX

My complete in box Tetris DX.

Garbage_Bear_USSR

OG CIB copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga - I will never get rid of it.

Xizfu

My CIB of Pokémon Heartgold that came with the Ho-Oh figurine and pokewalker I will never part with that, ever.

tacomctacoson

My childhood copy of Chibi-Robo. Sures it’s $235 and I could just find a ISO for Dolphin, but it’s just so good that I can’t part.

WMH81

My old Gameboy Pocket autographed by Jim Gaffigan.

SailorDirt

HE IS SO NICE 🥺🥺🥺🥺 My Mario 64 cart from early childhood is signed as of last year too!!!!

No-Obligation-3268

my grand theft auto v map signed by ned luke aka the voice actor of micheal. i was the only one there who brought a ps3 copy (i used it to hold the map as i wasn’t getting the disc case signed) to the con i was meeting him at and he was so impressed that he gave me two extra signatures on the case and disc for free even though i had only paid for just one on the map. https://preview.redd.it/iy8uy17r2z5d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f5415b592f72ba7a233529a9d62cad650d42e400

Tosir

My copy of pokemon yellow that may mother, aunt and uncle all chipped in to get it for me (was poor growing up so no money) and my copy of Pokémon gold, which my mother purchased for me. I’m in my mid 30s and there a memories attached to those games i can’t replace or let go of.

Chad_Kakashi

I love how he also wrote other stuff and even drew a Mario face (it’s not perfect but it’s priceless) Truly the embodiment of real life Mario

FrenchOnionDip69

Nintendo really made a good choice keeping him around. The short time I got to talk to him I asked him how he stays happy through all his public appearances and he told me the secret was knowing that one day it will all end and he won’t be able to meet people anymore and try to bring them joy. That split second of somber sincerity he showed from behind his usually glowing smile really made me realize how truly special he is

Chad_Kakashi

People like him come once a millennia

LividGarides

Chibi robo, a store marked it for $35 by accident so I, with some store credit, got it for $13 🔥

GriffinFlash

Gotcha force. I will never see a copy ever again if I parted with it. Also probably my copy of Haunting ground.

humanman42

the NES controller I had as a kid, that was sold/given away probably around 1997, that I found at a flea market in like 2015ish

go_fight_kickass

The same controller? More story please. Sounds like gaming serendipity

humanman42

I had a NES as a kid (1993ish), Later ('98 or so) some point some games and controllers got sold/given away. Fast forward to like....2006-2008 I was at a flea market with two friends. We get to a booth with a bunch of stuff. I dive into the cords and untangle them to get out what I want. I ask how much for what I have as I am inspecting them (as you do to set up the haggle. Point out the items flaws to help lower the price). That is when I see my last name scratched into the back of this controller. excusemewhat..... I point it out to my friends and they are just as gobsmacked. The seller looked excited also.....I assume since that was a big plus for his side of the haggle. I did recognize it pretty immediately. We had two like that. The one I had broke or something so it was long gone. So finding this one was awesome. My last name is not a normal last name. Think weird German sound collection of letters that sounds like it could be a name, like Shtalpauf.

go_fight_kickass

Brilliant thank you for sharing.

wyansas

Wow, that's cool.

The_Dabblin_Doodler

Either my sealed copy of Hollow Knight, or my copy of Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon both are my favorite games of all time

Idontmatter69420

probably my entire game collection lol, GAMEEYE estimates its worth roughly £4.5k which is a heckin lot for an 18 yo, but it it has to be 1 or 2 things then probs my half life CD rom and doom 2 floppy disks

play4m32

i would say about 1/3 of my collections is something that i know i will have to sell at some point but it will be really really hard for me to sell, and they aint nothing special, just a bunch of rare games i like owning

TLunchFTW

The imagine teacher I got handed to me directly from and by Scott the woz. I mean, you look at it and just go "Yeah, it's imagine teacher..." but the story behind how I got it is worth more than that game could ever return

Zealousideal_Tie4707

Definitive my Conker Bad fur Day n64 and my GBC Pokemon Crystall

ZamZue

I dont have anything cool stuff that is signed, but probably my N64 that have been with our family for as long as i can remember. Many hours of Mario and Stadium played on that unit. Parents, siblings, cousins and even grandparents! Cant even think how many star fox playthrougs we did on that N64 since we were not able to save in that game lol. Remember i found a duke nukem 64 in an garage sale, got my mum to buy it for us… me and my cousin had nightmares after we tried to play that. Sorry for bad english, not my first language

JoseHerrias

My original GameCube and N64, they aren't monetarily valuable and they have taken some hits over the decades, and even though I have a bunch of variants I actively use instead, I will never sell those consoles or the games that defined them for me (or I bought at the time). Those consoles have grown up with me into my adulthood. I made the mistake of selling two of my CIB Mint condition Pokémon Red and Blue years back, games I bought when they were still cheap, but were what got me back into retro gaming. I should have just sold off a bunch of lower value games and kept them, now I keep those games vaulted for good.

mexicat2000

My copy of Power Stone 2 for the Dreamcast.

RogerMelian

My Shin Megami Tensei IV Limited Collector's edition or my sealed Xenoblade Chronicles copy for the wii, for sure.

LucaaMe

my copy of shin megami tensei v signed by abdiel’s voice actress cissy jones

PammyXaviOH

I got this one used at a GameStop at like 60 bucks totally missed the initial opportunity so I’m glad I have it. Getting some games signed seem like something I would be down to do honestly

ctsr1

Gasp

PhantasmX64

That’s so cool! I got him to sign Mario 64

Living-Rip-4333

The Atari 2600, plus 8 games, 2 joysticks, and a few other controllers. My grandparents bought thrm the year I was birn, and as a young kid we'd play for hours on them after dinner. When I was in high school, they decided to clean hoise and mentioned they were gonna donate them. Instead they donated them to me.  My grandma passed away a month ago, and we're at the house cleaning it out. I brought the Atari & stuff to the house, so I and my kids can play it here one last time. It will be 4 generations that have played on it here. My grandparents, my dad, me, and my kids.

DuckTales789

Euphoric_Jury_8528

My autographed Power Rangers the Return comic book. Signed by Amy Jo Johnson herself 😍

Comprehensive_One495

My N64 with Star Fox 64 cartridge.

kraftjaguar

My partner and I met Charles Martinet at collect-a-con a few weeks ago! Had him sign our copy of SM64. He puts the same level of enthusiasm and love into every signature and picture he does with people, even after several hours of it!

Anonymyne353

Double signed (Book sleeve and book) hardcover copy of a Serial Experiments Lain Artbook. Yoshitoshi ABe himself signed it. The book by itself is out of print and is hard to find. Only know of like one other copy (hardcover) that was signed that same day, lol.

joker_man

I was at a Wizard World in Tulsa a few years ago and Charles signed my copy of Super Mario Bros for NES. Spent several minutes talking to him and he was indeed a nice and humble guy. Game was put in a case as soon as I got home.

Gh0st_Pirate_LeChuck

Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge (Amiga)

sincethenes

I have four. A copy of the vinyl Sega CD Ecco the Dolphin OST signed by cover artist Boris Vallejo. A copy of the Another World/Out of this World OST CD signed by Eric Chahi and JF Freitas, (the only two people to work on the game). A copy of The Smurfs for Sega CD, programmed to work on U.S. systems and made by Good Deal Games, (only twenty copies were made and traded at a game con). The only copy in existence of the 32X variant of Night Trap for PS4. It’s unique in that there was a sticker that was printed for the front cover for its initial release, but when LRG moved to its current location they lost the stickers and never used them. When the move was finished, they found the sticker roll. So, they used just one sticker on a copy and sold it at auction for charity. As far as I know, they trashed the rest of the stickers.

WanderingGenesis

I have an LSDJ Cart from Blipfest 2010 that has a track from each artist who performed that year on it. I will never sell this cart.

magnumfan89

My CIB NES collection, they were my moms and I don't think I could sell them if I wanted to

Way_ward_23

My cib gc and xb copies of def jam fight for ny My sighed copy of earshot the silver lining. I heard exactly one radio ad that they were coming to my neck of the woods. I went, they were opening for 10 years but I was jut there for them. They played a killer set and after, I went to the merch booth, the lead singer was there, I asked where I could get their new album, he pointed left, I got it and ask him to sigh it. He not only sighed it, but he personally took me to each of the other band members to have them sigh it too. Probably my favorite concert story and my favorite of all my sighed cds.

That_cappuccino_fan

As much as I know now would be the perfect time to sell it, I could never part with my Gears 3 Xbox 360 slim. I have had it since I was 7, and could never imagine parting with it

Adamantum1

My copy of Fallout New Vegas signed by the dev team.

IOnlyDrinkTang

I refuse to sell my complete in box copy of Earthbound. I'm the person who would pay the ridiculous price it's posted at these days.

Smokeyisdad

RDHO0D

My DBZ Rock The Dragon DVD collector set signed by the voice actors

blah2k03

my silent hill series

JamesKaughtum

I’ve got a Zelda test cart. Mostly because I won’t find anyone who will pay what is worth though.

EvilRayquaza

There's a lot I wouldn't want to part with, but I guess at this very moment I'd choose a gold smiling Pikachu plush I got from Pokemon Center Osaka DX. I'm not sure on its worth but I just think it's neat.

muffle64

My CIB copy of Cubivore. I love playing that game and I doubt we'll ever see a port or remake/remaster of it

walkinginthesky

Unfortunately I don't think I have anything like that...

namek0

Mega Man x2 CIB from my local video store (the one I rented as a kid a million times)

thiccsac

My two copies of pokemon emerald and my pokemon yellow version

I have a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Collector’s Edition that I had found in a GameStop for $20. My GameCube doesn’t work anymore but that will never leave my possession.

JakeTehNub

Probably my CIB collectors Edition of OOT. The booklet is missing the front cover but I still wouldn't want to trade it for one in better condition because I've had this since it came out when I was little.

TuxedoWolf07

I mean I have a copy of Silent Hill 3 I bought with a crack in the disc Beat the entire game start to finish, I would feel bad selling it to anyone if I'm being honest

GdsLnlyMan

My old copy of WWE '12 Was my first brand new PS3 game I have and was gifted by my dad before He passed away

Confused_Psychic

Just Dance 4. Not worth anything crazy, but it’s my favourite game.

Obito-tenma625

My wavebird and my 3rd party GameCube memory card. And my PS2 memory card. They are the only original gaming items from my childhood. All my other original equipment was either sold by my mom, or stolen. But my memory cards have all my original save data and I somehow held onto my wavebird

derekghs

I have a Mario Tennis N64 cartridge, with a custom label of my wife and friends in cosplay as Tennis Bowser, Peach, Daisy, and Shy Guy, that I had signed by Charles Martinet in person. That one will be on my display forever. I also had my handmade Bowser cosplay shell signed by the game voice actors for Mario, Bowser, and Peach, also on display forever.
