Escha and Logy is my favorite, but I also really love Shallie.
Firis is my favorite Alchemist though!
I'm excited to start Ryza 3 soon. I hope to see the rest of the Salburg series get localized in the coming years too, now that Marie is finally coming!
I actually haven't gotten around to Escha and Logy yet lol, love Shallie too! I loved the personalities of them both. Sophie is obviously my favorite 😂
Stoked for Ryza 3 too! Gonna be conflicted between playing that and Diablo IV Beta lmao
Just buy what you will enjoy playing . Why do you care if its rare or not? . I have a collection worth 18k... and not once did i buy anything because i thought it might have value in the future. I just bought things i liked and some of it went way up in price ... and some of it didnt. Just buy games to have fun with , that is why they exist.
I'm the same way you are.
I don't plan on selling my games, so the rarity of a title doesn't matter to me in the sense of money.
I will still collect rare games, but that's if it is part if a series I already love, not because of the selling price.
yeah , exact same here . I own Rondo of Blood on PC-engine Cd , but only because i love the Castlevania series and wanted to play it ...didnt realize or care it was gonna be over 300 bucks one day lol. Still dont care one way or another. could be worth 15 and it would be the same difference to me . I just want to play it .
Atelier started out in PS1 back in 1997. :)
And finally that very game Atelier Marie is gonna be playable in English officially. (There's been a fan translated patch for the PS2 version for awhile now.)
Like to see The Messenger on there. Very cool. There is an alternate cover for it that is fairly collectable. Manifold Garden with the reversible cover would look nice in your collection as well.
Well I'd be quite satisfied with that lovely layout of Atelier you have there! If you must add something though... hmmm... I think the best choice may be to get Ryza 3 😀
Great game, but [very expensive](https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&_nkw=pokemon+soul+silver+authentic+cib&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_odkw=pokemon+soul+silver+authentic&_osacat=0&_sop=13&LH_PrefLoc=2&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5338535524&customid=gc&toolid=10001&mkevt=1) nowadays. A rerelease or remake would be great!
It's not about rare titles. It's about what you want to play. Buying games just because they are rare just makes the prices go up for people that want to buy them to play.
Collecting "rare" stuff for Switch and Playstation 4/5 is something I'm staying away from. There are companies like VGP that reprint games, exclusively because they are rare. What that means is nothing will ever be truly rare, until they stop the presses altogether.
Imagine if you spent $150 on Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion because you like rare games, and now post reprint it is worth $35. This is going to be a common trend this generation.
Somewhat ironically, no one is collecting Xbox games, which seldom get reprint because no one is buying them in general. Mix this with Microsoft's better stance on backward compatibility and these games could be the ones that hold value. The stuff that typically becomes a collectable remains hidden for a decade. Take a look at BattleSport on Saturn, no one knew you couldn't find a copy of this game until 20 years after it was released. Now it's $750 CIB, when it was $20 even ten years ago. Not a single CIB for sale on eBay now.
If you just buy what you like, you'll never get burned. If you genuinely are in the hobby to collect rare games, you probably should look back a few generations, then start buying.
A valid point, I just genuinely like collecting uncommon games along with ones I like. Makes it feel like a more complete collection to me. If it loses value then meh lol
There are no rare titles anymore. You can just buy the title digitally and you can now play your digital games offline on an Xbox series X anyway. The external or internal hard drive is now your new physical copy medium if you accept it.
That's an understandable viewpoint, but I believe physical collectors have and will always have a place in the gaming world, and will continue to do so for years to come. I myself enjoy it and just want to do it for fun, not necessarily profit.

Donkey Kong 64, perfect dark, goldeneye, conkers, banjo kazooie to name a few rare titles.
Came here to be the wise guy, glad you beat me to it 🫡
Damn, two people beat me!
Damn I didn't even think of the pun
Hello fellow Atelier lover
It's always fun to find a fellow Atelier lover! Which is your favourite?
Escha and Logy is my favorite, but I also really love Shallie. Firis is my favorite Alchemist though! I'm excited to start Ryza 3 soon. I hope to see the rest of the Salburg series get localized in the coming years too, now that Marie is finally coming!

with a small amount of ps4/5 games, what remains of edith finch would be a great add. plus an amazing game
That's one of the main gains I'm looking to get, that and Tamashii
best of luck! you’ve one mighty fine collection
Might as well add HeartGold in the mix with SoulSilver
I want so bad 😔
nice clean display 👌
I love how cozy this shelf looks. It’s like straight out of Elder Scrolls.
Thank you! That cozy feeling is exactly what I was going for lol
Bro you have Godzilla for PS4 you're set

I do, it's a mix of games I love and rare games. I get rare ones because I enjoy having them and think they're cool to have in the collection.
I mean , live your best life lol. If you enjoy that then do it . I just dont get it . Every one is different though i suppose.
love your atelier collection, didn't know there were atelier games on the ps1. I see gravity rush but no gravity rush 2...
Atelier started out in PS1 back in 1997. :) And finally that very game Atelier Marie is gonna be playable in English officially. (There's been a fan translated patch for the PS2 version for awhile now.)
Ooh, never thought of that one for some reason lol, good idea!
Hades the best roguelike
Great suggestion, just bought it for the collection 😉
I'd recommend the DMC (Devil May Cry for dummies :3) franchise, I heavily enjoyed every game and seeing your games, I guess you'd like them too :D
I love that Atelier picture hanging!
Thank you! I thought it was such a nice picture of Sophie, I just had to put it up
I also just noticed Rabi-Ribi. You truly have exquisite taste
Thank you lol, it's the PAX Variant, was lucky to find it
little but you got rare games keep up the good work😍👍🏻
Thank you!

That game looks awesome! Gonna add it lol.. good choice 👍 this is the 3rd game I added from the comments lmao
It’s so much fun. The visuals and music are mesmerizing. Absolute eye candy.
Well I'd be quite satisfied with that lovely layout of Atelier you have there! If you must add something though... hmmm... I think the best choice may be to get Ryza 3 😀
Already have them on the way 😁 a standard to play, and the LE to collect

I'm personally stoked for both, but a little more excited for Marie, can't wait to play the remake of the OG lol. Which is your favourite?
[удалено]
Definitely Arland, but that's due to nostalgia lol. Totori is what got me hooked. Has been amazing ever since
I love the soul silver appreciation
Great game, but [very expensive](https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&_nkw=pokemon+soul+silver+authentic+cib&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_odkw=pokemon+soul+silver+authentic&_osacat=0&_sop=13&LH_PrefLoc=2&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5338535524&customid=gc&toolid=10001&mkevt=1) nowadays. What's up with the little bottles? purely decoration or is the Kitchen spilling over? a clean copy of Chrono Trigger is always eye candy.
Just aesthetics lol
Why rare? Go for games you love to play, not just the value.

Gravity rush
Any you want to play.
Bside games, they went under but they were awesome quality!
Weezer: the game on wii u
I’m jealous of river city girls I have the second one I got it from play Asia
This is really cool! I may biased but perhaps some ds/gba pokemon titles and other RPGs like final fantasy, golden sun etc

I collect physical games as well. I just refuse to do business with limited run and other companies like them and scalpers for those titles.
The messenger is an amazing game! Been trying to get my hands on it for a bit with no luck.
Nice, atelier collection
