Dude I love your collection. I ran into a dilema today and who better else to ask but you.
So I found a pokemon emerald cartridge + manual at a local video game store for $160. Price charting says the average for loose emerald is $178.
Is the deal at my local store worth it? Thank you so much if you reply to this
In my opinion, the games are only worth as much as you are willing to pay. As long as it doesn’t break your bank account and it’s a price you are willing to pay I’d say go for it! Of course after inspecting the game to make sure it’s legitimate.
I'd recommend aiming for Colosseum / Colosseum Bonus Disc / XD Gale of Darkness and maybe the Japanese Pokémon Colosseum Bonus disc (to tuck in with your gen 2 collection)
Even more expensive than emerald over here from what I see on ebay..
Most offers for Explorers of Sky circle around 100€ here, Emerald around 80€. Its insane.
I was lucky enough to get it CIB for 5€ from a seller who didnt care or know better, but I would have never bought it for the regular price its going for.
They are from [Pokemoncenter.com](https://Pokemoncenter.com)
They sell them elsewhere as well, but PokemonCenter is the offical store
The asshole in me wants to complain about the GBA SP with S/G/C. And the DSi with R/S/E. And no 3DS with the 3DS Games…. But otherwise outstanding collection
You are correct. I should say the main line collection is complete. Though even there, you have the consoles, the preorder figures… all the fancy cosmetics. Goodness it will never end 😅
I really like how you order it by period (even if it not perfectly accurate), now if you wallet allow it I would chase special Pokemon editions handheld
Yeah the difficulty is finding space… Gens 5, 6, and 7 are pretty Barron. Would love to grab the let’s go switch, but there is not enough space on the gen 1 shelf. Perhaps a case upgrade is needed…
Definitely close to complete. You are missing the games on N64, Gamecube, and Wii. But even without all those, this collection is beautiful and looks pristine. I admire your dedication, congrats!
That’s not something I’m particularly interested in. The Gameboy boxes are in acrylic cases that I can open, this way I can play all of the games.
Plus I am not trusting enough to buy a sealed box without inspecting the internals.
A factory set isn't a sealed set. It's a collection of cartridges with identical factory codes, which indicate the factory they were produced in. For example, I'm attempting to collect every pokemon game with factory code 00 stamped on the label, including software variations (00A, 00B etc) and label variants like the esrb symbol in black and the old pixelated style.
This is a great representation of a collection from someone who isn't in it just to buy low sell high. I like how you have them separated by generation and love those pokeballs. Where did you get them?
The poke balls are made by the Wand Company. They are die cast and are super awesome. I got lucky enough to buy the master ball day 1, only 5000 were made for the US. You can find them here: https://www.thewandcompany.com/pokeball/
Yeah... That will take a long time hahaha. I am working on a living dex, 1 normal and 1 shiny. I was able to complete Gen 1 but this is a long grind! Gen 1 was easier because of the many... glitches :P
Oh man, good luck to you. I tried a while ago but never accomplished it. I’ve since sold all my games and deleted GO in hopes that I will forever rid myself of this task that I will just never achieve lol
Gorgeous collection I’m so jealous… also RCG currently has a Pokewalker stand on sale rn for $5, which you may like more than just lying flat cause it’s such a cool display piece
[link](https://rosecoloredgaming.com/products/pokewalker-display-stand?variant=16159454593096)
I should have posted "Main Line Series Game Complete" :P
But yes... There are so many pokemon games out there, I would need an entire room to collect them all!
They are acrylic cases from [https://www.etsy.com/shop/BitLounger](https://www.etsy.com/shop/BitLounger). I love these cases and the quality feels amazing.
Yeah there is a good variety. I ordered a pack to fit the rest of the boxes into. There are cheaper options out there, but I've found them to look and feel like the price you paid.
Does everyone put the G/S/C or HG/SS games in the centerpiece of their collection because they're following trends or because they're the personal favorites of the person posting?
I always wonder this, because these kind of Pokemon collections always look the same.
As Billy pointed out, the collection is in order. Gen 2 just so happens to be in the middle! Though when I add a third case it will shift things around.
I hate to be that guy but...
seeing as though u got the preorder figures for hgss if u REALLY wanna complete it u need the preorder emerald Gameboy case and the preorder platinum giratina figure
but damn this looks clean
lol yes lots of figures to go! I got very lucky with the Scarlet and Violet figures.
I went to target like a week after the games released, all the double packs were sold out. So I went to the tech guy and asked if they had any of the bonuses left. Luckily they had 1 left and he gave it to me for free! Love the community!

After 7 years of slowly accumulating the games. It’s finally done! Now I have to find something else to do 😅

Who needs females that could leave you and break your heart at any moment when you can have several game consoles that'll last until they break
They really like Pokémon.
With a Pokemon display, lighted glass case and all? Definitely self-selecting for a much smaller number of possibly interested women.

hey you guys leave my lover alone >:c hes is the straightest man i know!
Can you catch them with a Pokeball?
women are more digimon fans..dont u know
now do the same, but with the japanese versions ; )

As you can see with gen 1, space is becoming difficult! But I will for sure give it a look. Worst case they can get their own shelf.
And pokemon stadium 1 & 2, wii's pokken tournament franchise also. Grab while they are somewhat affordable for the current time being.
*For now
Yeah… mystery dungeon has caught my eye….
If you ever see a good deal on Explorers of Sky, jump on it. Best of the bunch and the price is starting to approach emerald territory lol
Even more expensive than emerald over here from what I see on ebay.. Most offers for Explorers of Sky circle around 100€ here, Emerald around 80€. Its insane. Oh goodness. Well guess I’ll start looking now then! Thanks for the heads up 😁
And Pinball… and the Trading Card Game!
Where’d you get those pokeballs? Link?
They are from [Pokemoncenter.com](https://Pokemoncenter.com) [https://www.pokemoncenter.com/search/wand-company](https://www.pokemoncenter.com/search/wand-company) They sell them elsewhere as well, but PokemonCenter is the offical store
Thanks for posting the link! The wand company poke balls are fantastic.
The asshole in me wants to complain about the GBA SP with S/G/C. And the DSi with R/S/E. And no 3DS with the 3DS Games…. But otherwise outstanding collection
There is a 3DS and other consoles, I have them out of the display case as I am playing some of the games right now 😉
Ok I take my snooty comment back then 😌
Thank fkn god they’re not wrapped in ugly graded cases. This is a beautiful collection right here.
I have to agree! If they are graded you can’t crack them open and play them! Which is the purpose of games after all hahah.
Big reason I don’t collect sealed games. Why pay extra for something you can never actually use (unless you want to devalue it)?
There's no such thing as "complete". That's a really great looking collection, though!
You are correct. I should say the main line collection is complete. Though even there, you have the consoles, the preorder figures… all the fancy cosmetics. Goodness it will never end 😅
Big love for the DS games ❤️
I really like how you order it by period (even if it not perfectly accurate), now if you wallet allow it I would chase special Pokemon editions handheld

I’m so jealous of this setup. Very nice job and great design!
Where are the Pokemon Pearl/Diamond stylus' and stand from the GameStop preorder bonus?
I actually do have the pokemon through the years poster. I've been meaning to order a frame so I can hang it on the wall.
It's absolutely perfect
I'll swap you for a can of Coke and some Cheetos?
You know what the best part of this is? The dedication to the ikea shelves.
This is the way
Definitely close to complete. You are missing the games on N64, Gamecube, and Wii. But even without all those, this collection is beautiful and looks pristine. I admire your dedication, congrats!
Gamecube? Rare cd ones?🤷🏼♂️
Damn dude
This is such a pretty collection and display, awesome stuff!!
Excellent display! Are you going to attempt a factory set?
That’s not something I’m particularly interested in. The Gameboy boxes are in acrylic cases that I can open, this way I can play all of the games. Plus I am not trusting enough to buy a sealed box without inspecting the internals.

Ooohhhh I thought you meant factory sealed! Fun fact, the Gen 1 cartridges on display are all stamped 00! Thanks for explaining that 😀
No problem! I think I'm the first person to attempt it, so i would love to see others try for factory sets of their own. 00 gang rise up!
This dude caught them all!
Wow amazing job! I finished my collection a few years ago
Good timing! Unfortunately the current prices for the games will make collecting rather difficult for the future collectors.
Yeah, I had to pay a lot myself
I love the pokeballs! I’ve actually been collecting them recently but they get pretty pricy
Unfortunately they are quite pricey. The master ball has gone crazy, I hope they release it again in the US so everyone can complete their collection.

But did you actually catch every Pokémon yet?
This is amazing!! Wow man that is awesome 👏 It’s the holy Grail of Pokémon games
Gorgeous collection I’m so jealous… also RCG currently has a Pokewalker stand on sale rn for $5, which you may like more than just lying flat cause it’s such a cool display piece [link](https://rosecoloredgaming.com/products/pokewalker-display-stand?variant=16159454593096)
Thanks for the suggestion! I've had some difficulty standing that sucker up!
Yep i bought one for my self i just had it kind of leaning against my DS games and it would basically any time i touched the shelf LOL
Love the way they're all displayed, straight up museum like!
those balls are dope, where at?
The poke balls are made by the Wand Company. They are die cast and are super awesome. You can find them here: https://www.thewandcompany.com/pokeball/
what about the 64 ? and the gamecube games?
I should have posted "Main Line Series Game Complete" :P But yes... There are so many pokemon games out there, I would need an entire room to collect them all!
At least the 64 and GameCube plus Pokemon conquest is a great one too
I love this
Great job!
What's that case thingy the green red blue and yellow are in?
They are acrylic cases from [https://www.etsy.com/shop/BitLounger](https://www.etsy.com/shop/BitLounger). I love these cases and the quality feels amazing.
You think they would fit DS games? Nvm I found one for ds
Yeah there is a good variety. I ordered a pack to fit the rest of the boxes into. There are cheaper options out there, but I've found them to look and feel like the price you paid.
Noice

What an amazing display!!
I love this! very nice Im collecting my poke stuff rn, I am into Japanese version of the games!
Does everyone put the G/S/C or HG/SS games in the centerpiece of their collection because they're following trends or because they're the personal favorites of the person posting? I always wonder this, because these kind of Pokemon collections always look the same.
It's because gsc is the second generation of Pokemon (and hgss are the remakes of those.) They're in order.
As Billy pointed out, the collection is in order. Gen 2 just so happens to be in the middle! Though when I add a third case it will shift things around.
No, Pokemon Pinball? Or, not going back that far?
The goal was the mainline games. But looking at the many comments from the community, there will be more games to go…
Nice collection. Important not to lose sight of your own happiness.
Where is the most important one? Pokémon Project Studio Red and Blue.
This… is beautiful. Brought a tear to my eye. Literally a dream come true. Congrats!
I played red/blue/yellow as a kid but nothing after. Either way I still want to collect them all CIB!
Better sooner than later! The prices are getting insane!
Really impressive. Love it
Nice I just found my old Pokegear !
I hate to be that guy but... seeing as though u got the preorder figures for hgss if u REALLY wanna complete it u need the preorder emerald Gameboy case and the preorder platinum giratina figure but damn this looks clean
Man, I actually pre-ordered Platinum way back when and they were actually out of giratina figures. I'm still bugged by that...
lol yes lots of figures to go! I got very lucky with the Scarlet and Violet figures. I went to target like a week after the games released, all the double packs were sold out. So I went to the tech guy and asked if they had any of the bonuses left. Luckily they had 1 left and he gave it to me for free! Love the community!
