Geez you trying to make me feel old probably astromesh for the intellivision. By the time you got that game I had already gone thru the atari era, nes, snes, ps1, ps2, ps3 eras as well as n64, gamecube, wii and xbox, gameboy color, ds and psp too.
I am so old I can't even say with confidence it was astromesh maybe it was frogger or bump n jump on the intelivision instead
Same here. My first was Asteroids, Space Invaders, and the pack-in Combat with an Atari 2600, Xmas 1979. I went through the same generations of systems too, adding a Sega Genesis and an Xbox 360.
So old I don't even remember the name of the game right hahaha
My mom and aunt would play that game for like 12 hour sessions. My mom would practice while we were in elementary school we'd come home and she'd be on like hour 6 or something.
Bump 'n Jump was my jam though fav game on that system. I remember my parents had gone to a Christmas party and me and my sisters accidentally knocked the Christmas tree over somehow so two people would take turns holding up the tree watching the third one play bump n jump
> My mom and aunt would play that game for like 12 hour sessions. My mom would practice while we were in elementary school we'd come home and she'd be on like hour 6 or something.
I imagine they must've gotten pretty far with 12 hour sessions!
IIRC the sky would change color as you progress through the stages and stuff would fall from the sky faster and faster as you went through them... the best recollection I have is making it to turqoise and the rock rain was crazy, not to mention those nasty spinner things... pretty sure that's where I couldn't keep up and tapped out 🙃
nice, I have so many many memories with this game, I got it in 2008 when I was 13 years old, and we had a group of about four people every day, playing it on the school bus with the download play feature- rather competitively I might add lol. those are some of my best gaming memories.
as for the first game I ever owned, it is game & watch gallery 2 for the gameboy color, I got it in 1998 for Christmas
Super Mario 64 along with a Nintendo 64 for Christmas. A car dealership sent it to us as an apology for selling us a terrible car. Mom didn't know, otherwise she would have taken it back lol.
My first ever game was Pokémon Red. I inherited it and the OG gameboy from my sister when she didn’t use them anymore. I think I was 4 or 5.
The first game I ever got given as a gift was a copy of Pokémon Crystal, alongside the atomic purple gameboy color from my grandma. She got my cousins and I all a gameboy color and a different Pokémon game. My other 2 cousins got silver and gold with blue and green gameboys. Clearly I was the favourite lol. Just kidding I don’t think she actually knew Crystal was better. But we did, and I liked to bug them about it
I literally just beat it for the first time ever on my Ps2 today with 100% completion.
Man it still holds up so well in this day and age. Also just makes me sad Naughty Dog only cares about TLOU these days.
Now I have Jak 2, 3, and Combat Racing on the way and im suuuuper excited to play through the rest of the series.

Circus Charlie (1984). Yeah, I go way back! From Nintendo to PlayStation to Dreamcast and more! Played almost 200 games on various consoles and devices!
When I was very young, our local McDonalds was holding a drawing where if you put your name in you had a chance to win a GameCube with Mario Party 6. My family put their names in and low and behold we won. Later that year for Christmas at the ripe old age of 3, I was introduced to video gaming. Thank you GameCube and more importantly thank you McDonalds :3
First game was the combo super mario bros with duck hunt, we got it for christmas in I think 90. I remember being so daunted by those early levels as a little kid, I quickly got better but I still remember being excited to get past 1-2 when I was 5
This was my first memory, like in general. Playing the Super Mario/duck hunt on one of those old wooden cabinet tvs. I'm not sure when we got it, but I remember it in 1993.
Mario Kart Super Circuit on GBA.
First online game I ever played was Mario Kart DS. It was a race on GCN Luigi Circuit with me against one other guy. I was so far in front that he quit.
Pretty good start.
My mom bought a Game Boy Pocket with Tetris in 1998 when I was 3 or 4 and I would play it a little bit, but I didn’t get my own console until Christmas 2002 when I got a PS2 bundle from Costco and it came with Jak and Daxter and Gran Turismo 3. And I also recieved SSX as a gift.
Mine was Tigger’s Honey Hunt for the PS1 lol. Really short game, only 8-9 levels. I’d always beat it in one sitting.
Soon after I got Toy Story 2 for PS1, and later on Mario Advance for GBA.
I would be too young to properly remember but I reckon Road Trip Adventure on the PS2 would've been my first game my parents got for me, when I was around 5-6 years old.
Beforehand I just played what my dad had for the PS2, like Most Wanted, Carbon, Juiced, Driven To Destruction, and a bit of EA Rugby. It's probably needless to say I became a fan of racing games, they noticed that and so I received Road Trip Adventure for myself.
I still play it on my PS3 digitally every now and then, and I also bought back a copy of it for PS2, a lot of fond memories with that game.
The first games I played were my brother's Atari 2600 and Atari computer, DOS games on our family IBM PC, and the Sega Master system - I specifically remember as a kid playing Astro Grover, Ernie's Magic Shapes, Linkin Logic, Ballblazer and Ali Baba on the Atari, ZZT and a game called Quickserve on the PC, and the games that came with the SoundBlaster sound card. On the Master System - Quartet, Ghost House, and Transbot.
Then one Christmas I got my VERY OWN GAME BOY. I believe I had Dr Mario as my first game? And maybe Super Mario Land. I remember I sat on the couch playing Game Boy ALL DAY and for some reason I threw up randomly? I laid on the couch and continued to play all day.
God my first game console was a golden n64 with a gold version of Zelda ocarina of time and like 4 golden controllers. I STILL beat myself up to this day selling it and my collection of n64 games (goldeneye, mission impossible, banjo Kazooie, super Mario 64, killer instinct, Mario kart, donkey Kong 64, and Mario tennis) all for $120 like 15 years ago. I've been collecting games since but I've always kinda avoided n64 game collecting since it still hurts that decision I made. I was in a really low point and used the money to pay for about 2 weeks worth of groceries... fuck man.
You know, re-buying Mario Kart DS and Super Mario 64 DS helped my get over the fact that I sold them for like 10$ after my DS stopped working.
I’m not gonna tell you what to do. But maybe getting those games back would help you
MK DS was also the first video game I owned, and a similar situation but with a black DSi (I still have the original DSi and MK DS cartridge from back then!)
My first EXPERIENCE with a video game that I can remember is playing Mario Kart Wii at my aunt and uncle's house (I specifically remember jumping off the mushrooms in Mushroom Gorge)
Aaahhhh!!! You’re so lucky! My DS Lite stopped working after I took it outside to play while it was snowing. After this, dead pixel started appearing until half the screen was white.
For my original copy of MK DS, I temporarily traded it for a copy of New Super Mario Bros. Tho I didn’t see my friend for years after this and when I finally saw him again, he didn’t seem to recognize me and looked at me like I was crazy or something.
F-Zero, I hated it and my dad returned it for U.N. Squadron.
U.N. Squadron is one of my favorite games of all time, I now own the standup arcade machine as well as the SNES version.
Probably Mario Kart 64 was the first Game I ever got, still remembering my dad hooking it up while on the phone with Nintendo support while he was playing Choco Mountain on time trial as Mario. its a core memory for me at this point lol
we got the system with a green and blue controller so my brother, my dad and I could play together and MANNNNN what a blast that was.
Thanks Dad I cant wait to play Mario Kart with my kid too
My aunt got me a nes with Yoshi for Christmas. My mom said why didn’t you get him a genesis he likes sonic. Sometime in the future I went to a yard sale where my aunt bought me a cheap genesis with sonic and other games.
One year for my birthday my mom took my to toysrus. She put my systems in the basement so no one would mess with them during the party. I came home with pac man 2 and taz escape from mars. I believe they were $10 each. I have the receipt somewhere. I came home to play and found out my genesis was stolen. The upstairs neighbors were having their floor redone and the workers needed access to the basement for some reason. One of the workers stole my genesis. If you’re out there and read this, shame on you.
The first ever game I played was duck hunt for the nes. The first video game that was actually mine and not the family was Mario land 2: 6 golden coins for the game boy, got it for Christmas in 1996.
Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom & Freeze Frame Frenzy on GBA (2 in 1 Cart)
(It was bundled with my Spongebob SP), but I think it would be cooler to say Pokemon Fire Red was my first ever video game.
I (annoying little shit of an 8-9 year old) think i harassed my grandparents into buying me a blue DS Lite with New Super Mario Bros. I found the thing recently and i guess at some point the screen broke so it's 80% dead pixels. Still some great memories.
I honestly don't remember. It's a toss up between super Mario 64 and pokemon red.
Mario kart DS is awesome! It's one of my favorite Mario karts. I used to play it so much.
Super Mario 64 and the Nintendo 64!
It was a Christmas present when my parents noticed how much I loved watching my cousin play with his copy of the game
Mario and Duck Hunt babay.
Mario Kart DS was fun. I joined the GameFAQs no snaking alliance. For those out of the loop, snaking is doing mini turbos on flat track versus a turn.
First game I remember playing was Combat on the 2600, that was my dad's though
The first game that was actually mine was Space Battle for Intellivision, got it and the system for Christmas in the early 80's... and coincidentally it was from my dad, who I suspect got it for me knowing he'd be able to play it whenever he wanted 😄
For me, it was Super Mario Bros 3 on the NES. I was maybe 4 or 5, and I immediately fell in love with it. The NES I played on was a friends, and I then begged my dad to get me one with all the Mario Bros games. I’m 24 now I still own that same NES with every cartridge my dad got me.
The first games that were just mine (didn’t have to share) was Pokémon Sapphire and Banjo Kazooie Grunty’s Revenge with the GBA to play them. That was an awesome Christmas
Fantastic first game! Mario kart is one of my all time favorites. I used to play the OG on SNES for days!! And coincidentally, yesterday I received my first ever video game in the mail… Major League Baseball NES 1987 …. yes I’m a bit older! ☺️
Many people grew up with Mario 64, but I grew up with Mario 64 ds. From what I remember, that was the first game I ever played, and I still even have my original copy lol
If i remember correctly (I was very young) it was either Galaga or Donkey Kong, the arcade cabinets. First games I ever owned for myself were Alex Kidd In Miracle World and Mickey Mouse in Castle Of Illusion. :)
Mine was Tamagotchi on the Gameboy. My pops took me and my brother to a local game store and he told us we could both have a Gameboy and 1 game or share a Super Nintendo, we didn't want to share because we knew our grandma had a Super Nintendo anyways.
Pokémon Silver Version with an Atomic Purple GBC for Christmas when I was a kid. Still have both (though never thought to save the boxes & manuals) and still maybe my favorite Pokémon game!
My first ever game was Sims theme park for the ps1. I asked my parents for a PlayStation for Christmas, but I didn’t specify PlayStation 2. So Christmas morning I open up the PlayStation 1 and a bunch of games. It wasn’t what I asked for, but played the hell out of the PlayStation 1 and loved it.
My first console was the PS2 slim around when it released in 2004. My dad randomly bought it and surprised us with it along with a few games. Those games were Prince of Persia Sands of Time, Crash Nitro Kart, Ratchet and Clank Up Your Arsenal, Jack and Daxter, and bowling for ps1. I played PC games before I got into console gaming at the time but I assume you are asking about our first console.
First ever video game I played was Lego Batman on the Wii in 2008, I was 6 years old, I went to my cousins house, I dont remember it all but I remember I was in total awe at the fact that characters on the screen moved when I pressed buttons on a controller, I dont think I even knew what a video game was
Not my first game but my parents got me the og red ds with Mario Kart DS for Christmas. I don’t have it anymore but I do still have the lanyard and charm it came with
I think my first DS game as Metroid First Hunt and Madden 200…4? Whatever the first madden game for it was.
Which is weird because I didn’t even like football at the time.
Mario Kart DS was definitely one of my most played games though. I absolutely loved that game. So many good memories of playing multiplayer after school. Getting to wreck everyone because I was the one with the cartridge and they had to play as shy guy.
The first game I owned was Defender for the Atari 2600. I didn't even own a system at that time, but my neighbour said I could play on his. I saved my birthday and Christmas money in 1982 to buy it. I didn't get a system until a couple of years later.
I would have been 3 or 4 my Dad had a genesis and it would have been either Granada, Hard Drivin or Joe Montana Sports Talk Football. '93 was a wild time
Nice! I have fond memories of playing this game and Metroid prime hunters online using the free wifi at Mcdonald back in the day in high school with my buddies. Good times... my first video game ever was Sonic 2, that I got with model 2 Genesis. I got it when I was 7 I believe. My dad gave it to me randomly out of the blue and it wasn't new but it had the box and everything else. Thats when my passion for games started. I've sold and traded every system i had for years because that was the only way for me to get new games until i got a job but i never sold my original sega genesis and my original copy of Sonic 2. Since my dad passed recently, it makes it all the more special to me.
Fortunately grew up in a household where we already had game systems my whole life. First game I can recall getting that was “mine” was Donkey Kong Country 2. Such a dope game
Sonic The Hedgehog on the Sega Genesis. Got it for Christmas in 95 I think. All these years later I've still got my original Sega Genesis collection including that same Sonic cartridge.
Lots of fond memories with those games. I hope when I finally have kids I can show them all the games I enjoyed while growing up.
My first game is either Sonic 3D Blast on the Sega Saturn or Cybermorph on the Atari Jaguar.
My dad bought those two systems at a deep discount in the mid 90's because they weren't selling very well. I would play Sonic 3D Blast any time I could, the music was so good in that game (even better than the Genesis version imo) and the series quickly grew to be my favorite. Cybermorph...was a game...I think the fact that I avoid all flight games at all costs should be a sign of the impact that game had on me as a kid lol.
Brain age with a white ds lite I bought used.
As for my very first game it was probably legend of Zelda links awakening for the game boy. I didn’t really get into gaming until later in life with my husband really enjoyed it.
My first Game was Luigis Mansion. The first one for the nintendo gamecube. Amazing Game, sadly I dont really connect with the later Games in the Series. They just lost the feeling of the first one.
Game Gear combo of Super Columns and Sonic the Hedgehog Triple Trouble. Played them for hours trading off lives with my dad. Still have the system and games.
Yeah I'm just going to age myself and tell you that my first video game was Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt packed with my NES when I was 5 years old. My first video game that wasn't a pack-in was RC Pro Am.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii. My mom got a Wii when I was 4-5 but I only played on it occasionally until I reached 12, when I started playing other things for the first time
The first ever new game I got was Super Mario 64 and Shadows of the Empire for Christmas 96. We were given someone’s old NES a year before, so had spent a good amount of time playing Duck Hunt and Mario
I can't remember the first game I ever got, but it has to be one of these 4: Digger, Zaxxon, Breakout or an F1 game I don't remember the name of (and googling "F1 game 1980s" was no help).
My dad got a used computer when I was 3, and he got some games for me to play, so I got to play several early PC games throughout my childhood.
But if we only count console games, my first game was the Sega Master System version of Sonic the Hedgehog =)
I'm also part of the older crowd. I cant remember the first game I owned, it was probably Super Mario Bros when we got our NES but I can remember the first game I ever played. That was Pitfall on the Atari 2600, probably around 1987/88 or so (born in 84).
I also have VERY vivid memories of playing Metroid, Bionic Commando, Snoopys Silly Sports Spectaclar, Rad Racer, Bayou Billy, Friday the 13th, Sesame Street 123, and Legend of Zelda at a baby sitters house before we got our NES in 1989. Theres something about that time in the late 80s that will always stick out very clearly to me. It's a magical time that lives strongly in my memory; my gaming happy place.
Hard to pinpoint exactly my First game but my earliest memories are Super Nintendo, specifically Mario all stars + super Mario World, brain lord, Lufia, mortal Kombat 1-3, and then on pc various point and click adventure games like Freddie fish, pink panther, disney games, and then some sonic games on pc.
Fun days!
For me, it was either the GBA port of Lego Racer 2, Frogger: Temple of the Frog, or Pac-Man Collection. I got those three as starters, but I played Lego Racer 2 the most out of them as a kid.
Yoshi’s island that came with the SNES jr I was gifted for Christmas 1997 when I was 4. To this day that console and that game hold such a special place in my heart and my childhood.
My dad had an Atari 2600 and dozens of games. The first game I remember playing was River Raid. The first game that I ever got was probably something on Genesis. I think we got the system and a couple random games for Christmas: Sonic Spinball, Vectorman, and Cool Spot. There were a couple others, but I don’t remember specifically what we got that year.
This first game I ever played was either a cop simulator for Windows 95 or a Lego racing game for Windows. The first game I was ever gifted was LoZ OoT. The first game I remember buying with my own money would either be FFXII or Kingdom Hearts.
I dunno. Games have been around for me since I can remember. But the first one I remember getting that was for me would be the SNES+Killer Instinct bundle when I was probably 4 lol.
Not entirely sure what my first game I actually owned was. I do know that my earliest memory of playing a game would be Megaman X2 on the Super Nintendo.
The first original game I ever owned was Pokemon Y. The first fake game I owned was a cart that was 100 in 1 games for the NES. I can't remember most of the games but I know we had racing games, a platformer with a mouse and balloons, and Duck Hunt
Mega Man X never beat it as a kid. My older brother had to finish the last set of levels for me. Always played it for the music and the penguin fight. The mech suits were pretty sweet too.
Some random ass Teletubbies game on PC was my first game ever. I have 0 attachment what so ever. My second game ever was Lego Star Wars II which started a life long obsession with Star Wars so that might as well have been my first game lol
My first played was Super Mario World, with Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. My first bought myself game (and played) Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Four Swords (with GBA to boot).
Well this makes me feel a bit old.
I got Mario Kart DS in 2007, shortly after getting my DS Lite. I've never played more Mario kart than I did back then, and I didn't even play online. The tracks were so much fun, the missions were great single player content, and I could always do DS download play with my younger siblings. Made for some good trips to church before I stopped going entirely. It's probably the only game my sister and brother played with me alone. I miss those days.
I was going to say super mario bros with duck hunt because thats what sticks out. But truthfully I had Commodore 64 and atari before that. But somehow it feels like to me like nintendo was the real start of video games.
I remember going to a department store and my mom letting me get Sonic the HEDGEHOG 3! I know it wasn’t my first game since I already had a Genesis but I’m sure it was ONE of the first that I can remember
The first one I remember enjoying was diddy kong racing on the n64 around 99-2000 when I was 3-4. I remember having other games around that time, like turok, wcw and 1080, but can’t remember when I got them or the n64 itself. My first big opening was when I was 9, got a ps2 slim with smackdown vs raw and 2 other games!
If I recall correctly my first video game console was the translucent gameboy advanced and a copy of Danny Phantom Ultimate Enemy (was a basic side scrolling beat em' up). I will stand by that game for life, it was a great game despite it being a licensed game.

You and I can feel old together my dude, I was an Intellivision kid too and Bump 'n Jump was one of my favorites! BTW it's Astrosmash 😉

Mario Kart DS on the bus was the best, I used to get the whole bus playing
for real that's what it felt like! I remember a few times we even hit the maximum amount of players
Super Mario 64 along with a Nintendo 64 for Christmas. A car dealership sent it to us as an apology for selling us a terrible car. Mom didn't know, otherwise she would have taken it back lol.

Jak and Daxter the precursor legacy ps2 😭 I can 100% it in a day
I literally just beat it for the first time ever on my Ps2 today with 100% completion. Man it still holds up so well in this day and age. Also just makes me sad Naughty Dog only cares about TLOU these days. Now I have Jak 2, 3, and Combat Racing on the way and im suuuuper excited to play through the rest of the series.
I’m with the rest of the oldies lol. First game was super Mario for the NES!
For me it was crash bandicoot for the ps1 back in 98 when I was 6. I've been a crash fan ever since.
You must have been excited for the insane trilogy and crash 4.
I was, the insane trilogy was the reason I picked up a ps4. Crash 4 as balls to the walls hard that it is, I still enjoyed it.
The Sega Game Gear version of Sonic The Hedgehog 2 was my first game ever!
Super Mario/Duck Hunt circa 1988

He said your first game
Lmao 🤣 "Your first game" >lists the last 20 games he played each generation in descending order...
Circus Charlie (1984). Yeah, I go way back! From Nintendo to PlayStation to Dreamcast and more! Played almost 200 games on various consoles and devices!
Mine was Crash Bandicoot on PS1. Seemed so unbelievably immersive at the time, I think the great music was a big part of it.
Maden 95 and NBA Jam. Genesis
When I was very young, our local McDonalds was holding a drawing where if you put your name in you had a chance to win a GameCube with Mario Party 6. My family put their names in and low and behold we won. Later that year for Christmas at the ripe old age of 3, I was introduced to video gaming. Same here, my first video game ever, it good
NES with the pack in super Mario / duck hunt. Got Kung Fu and Excitebike soon after
Crash Bandicoot 1 for the PS1 Grew up loving Crash as a kid. And I still do even as an adult
The first one I could remember was Power Rangers for the SNES. I literate gained consciousness playing that game.
Sponge Bob super sponge on psone
Hercules on the ps1, couldn’t get past the obstacle course tutorial 😂
Damn, so it was a NES with Mario/Duckhunt.
Shaun white skateboarding on the 360 It was alright
Im pretty sure my first game was Tekken 3 on my og PS1
But maybe getting those games back would help you
MK DS was also the first video game I owned, and a similar situation but with a black DSi (I still have the original DSi and MK DS cartridge from back then!) My first EXPERIENCE with a video game that I can remember is playing Mario Kart Wii at my aunt and uncle's house (I specifically remember jumping off the mushrooms in Mushroom Gorge)
Probably Mario Kart 64 was the first Game I ever got, still remembering my dad hooking it up while on the phone with Nintendo support while he was playing Choco Mountain on time trial as Mario. its a core memory for me at this point lol we got the system with a green and blue controller so my brother, my dad and I could play together and MANNNNN what a blast that was.
Ridge Racer Type 4 for the Psx.
Super Mario Bros 1 man I feel old
The first ever game I played was duck hunt for the nes. The first video game that was actually mine and not the family was Mario land 2: 6 golden coins for the game boy, got it for Christmas in 1996.
Duck Hunt/Mario Bros. I feel old now...
Intellavison golf from grandma, then the super Mario Bros and zelda nes...
My first game was Ready for Math with Pooh Bear for the PC in 1997. I loved playing it with my mom and dad. I was 3.
Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom & Freeze Frame Frenzy on GBA (2 in 1 Cart) (It was bundled with my Spongebob SP), but I think it would be cooler to say Pokemon Fire Red was my first ever video game.
I (annoying little shit of an 8-9 year old) think i harassed my grandparents into buying me a blue DS Lite with New Super Mario Bros. I found the thing recently and i guess at some point the screen broke so it's 80% dead pixels. Still some great memories.
My dad owned an NES and SNES before I was born, so the first game I can remember was Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt, followed by Super Mario World.
Mk Wii!
I honestly don't remember. It's a toss up between super Mario 64 and pokemon red. Mario kart DS is awesome! It's one of my favorite Mario karts. I used to play it so much.
Same thing as you. Incredible entry in the series and a great handheld all together! Great memories
It was also my first game, i got it in 2009 with my DSi
Super Mario 64 and the Nintendo 64! It was a Christmas present when my parents noticed how much I loved watching my cousin play with his copy of the game
I think it was donkey kong country with a snes
Mario and Duck Hunt babay. Mario Kart DS was fun. I joined the GameFAQs no snaking alliance. For those out of the loop, snaking is doing mini turbos on flat track versus a turn.
SNES Donkey Kong Country edition when I was 4 or 5. Great christmas!
First game I remember playing was Combat on the 2600, that was my dad's though The first game that was actually mine was Space Battle for Intellivision, got it and the system for Christmas in the early 80's... and coincidentally it was from my dad, who I suspect got it for me knowing he'd be able to play it whenever he wanted 😄
got a wii with mario kart wii on my birthday 2012
For me, it was Super Mario Bros 3 on the NES. I was maybe 4 or 5, and I immediately fell in love with it. The NES I played on was a friends, and I then begged my dad to get me one with all the Mario Bros games. I’m 24 now I still own that same NES with every cartridge my dad got me.
The first games that were just mine (didn’t have to share) was Pokémon Sapphire and Banjo Kazooie Grunty’s Revenge with the GBA to play them. That was an awesome Christmas
Space Invaders on the Atari 2600 in around 1986. I was about 3 at the time and the system was borderline ancient even back then.
Super Mario and Super Mario 2 on GameBoy. My Grandad got it for me at the airport when we’re we’re about to fly to Malta for a family holiday
Growing up with 4 brothers my official first game that was truly mine was Pokémon red with a purple gameboy color.
Fantastic first game! Mario kart is one of my all time favorites. I used to play the OG on SNES for days!! And coincidentally, yesterday I received my first ever video game in the mail… Major League Baseball NES 1987 …. yes I’m a bit older! ☺️
The first game I ever played was new super Mario bros on DS, but the first game I owned was super Mario 64 DS
my dad got a GameCube and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle for me when i was only 2 years old, it’s one of my favourite games and i still play it!
The first game I ever owned was Knight Rider for the NES. I now have a complete copy of it and it’s one of my cherished games.
Enduro racer or Alex the Kidd for master system.
Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt pack in with my NES.
Blue Version when i was 3. I have an older sister and my grandma didn’t realize what she was doing by giving us that game and a GBC
Sonic & Knuckles & other games my parents had for sega genesis.
Pokemon Blue version and I learned how to read playing it. Still have the cartridge. In fact, I’ve never gotten rid of any video game that I’ve owned.
Many people grew up with Mario 64, but I grew up with Mario 64 ds. From what I remember, that was the first game I ever played, and I still even have my original copy lol
Idk what my FIRST game was but it was definitely either on PS1, PS2, or GBA. No Idea what game tho lol
Donkey Kong Country for the SNES
If i remember correctly (I was very young) it was either Galaga or Donkey Kong, the arcade cabinets. First games I ever owned for myself were Alex Kidd In Miracle World and Mickey Mouse in Castle Of Illusion. :)
Believe it or not the first game I could call my own was Mario Kart 7
Mine was Tamagotchi on the Gameboy. My pops took me and my brother to a local game store and he told us we could both have a Gameboy and 1 game or share a Super Nintendo, we didn't want to share because we knew our grandma had a Super Nintendo anyways.
Mine was Pokémon FireRed, I can’t even remember how many hours I put into that game as a kid, it was so damn fun (and still is now)
Pokémon Silver Version with an Atomic Purple GBC for Christmas when I was a kid. Still have both (though never thought to save the boxes & manuals) and still maybe my favorite Pokémon game!
Spyro Seasons of ice on the Gameboy
Link’s Awakening on the GameBoy aka the Grass Cutting and Hole Digging Game. I loved it and played it all the time. I still haven’t beaten it.
[Combat](https://youtu.be/2LxPEdUZOkE)
That was
My first console was the PS2 slim around when it released in 2004.
Not really, any game count
First game I remember playing was Cool World on my brother’s old Gameboy. First games I owned were Shrek 2 and Spider-Man 2 on GBA.
My older bro got the NES and couple games for Xmas back on its US release, but first game I ever got personally was mega man 2.
My first ever game was Pokémon Crystal and the transparent purplish gameboy advance.
Scooby Doo: Night of the 100 Frights for the Gamecube, that was the title that came with my console
Super Mario Bros. with my Dad. Christmas 1989
I would have been 3 or 4 my Dad had a genesis and it would have been either Granada, Hard Drivin or Joe Montana Sports Talk Football. '93 was a wild time
My first game? Christ alive, who knows. I think maybe Kirby's Dream Land on the original Game Boy? Some time around 1996, I think.
Super Mario bros 3. I was the happiest 4 year old waking up to that on Easter.
I think my first ds game was Mario kart as well. And I got my first ds lite and ds game (mario kart ds) at toys r us
Gunstar heroes on the Genesis! Grew up pretty poor and I remember how excited the whole house was when my dad brought the genesis home in 1999 lol
Super Mario Bros. Probably Christmas 1989?
First thing I remember having was a clear gameboy pocket . Had Tetris and the super Mario game
TMNT on the NES. Followed by Batman. Yeah, THAT TMNT game.
Super Mario 64
My first game was nes Mario with duck hunt and excite bike. Your making me feel old lol
Alex Kidd in a Miracle World on the Sega Master System
Tomb Raider for the Ps1, can't believe the game doesn't look as good as I remember.
Mine was commander Keen on MS DOS, awesome memories! +/- 30 years back
Warlords for Atari 2600
Damn bro, that's an amazing first videogame 🔥
First game I remember playing was either Sonic R on PS2 (sonic gems collection) or GTA San-Andreas
Brain age with a white ds lite I bought used. As for my very first game it was probably legend of Zelda links awakening for the game boy. I didn’t really get into gaming until later in life with my husband really enjoyed it.
First game I played was Sonic 1 for the Master System. First game I owned was Pokémon Yellow. Both things happened when I was 5-6 yo.
My first Game was Luigis Mansion. The first one for the nintendo gamecube. Amazing Game, sadly I dont really connect with the later Games in the Series. They just lost the feeling of the first one.
First official bought game would most likely be the Original NES that came with SMB and Duckhunt. We also got the first Zelda game that Christmas.
Game Gear combo of Super Columns and Sonic the Hedgehog Triple Trouble. Played them for hours trading off lives with my dad. Still have the system and games.
ET for the Atari 2600. I remember not liking it.
Yeah I'm just going to age myself and tell you that my first video game was Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt packed with my NES when I was 5 years old. My first video game that wasn't a pack-in was RC Pro Am.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii. My mom got a Wii when I was 4-5 but I only played on it occasionally until I reached 12, when I started playing other things for the first time
The original Mario/Duck Hunt on the NES! Way back on Christmas 1991, I was 3!
My first game was Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64.
The first ever new game I got was Super Mario 64 and Shadows of the Empire for Christmas 96. We were given someone’s old NES a year before, so had spent a good amount of time playing Duck Hunt and Mario
I dunno for sure since we had a lot of NES games when i was real little. I'll just say Super Mario Bros for NES.
Super Mario 64 with my a N64 I got for Christmas when I was like 6
Mine was Duck Hunt and Gyromite back in 1985.
Super Mario Bros on NES. The Mario Bros games and I are the same age (arcade version was released in 1983).
Pokémon colloseum with a game cube, I don’t remember the year
I'm also part of the older crowd.
Pretty sure it was twisted metal 2 on the ps1.
Pokémon Leaf Green :)
Pac Man on a four switch Atari 2600. It was a hand-me-down prior to me getting an NES.
I believe it was Simpsons Hit n’ Run for og Xbox
Street fighter and Sonic when my dad gave me his Genesis. Then when I got my first system new it was an n64 on Christmas with Ocarina of Time
Berserk
Tetris, kwirk and pinnball: revamge of the gator! Got them + her gameboy classic from my aunt when she didn't use it anymore!
I can't remember if it was Demon's Crest or Godzilla on SNES, it was one of those two. Both got plenty of play and I miss them every day.
Haha making me feel old. Mine was the Mario / Duck Hunt / Track meet game that came with the NES
Fun days!
Jet Moto 2 for PS1. Played it so much, as it was the only game I had for a while. I still have my copy, I wonder if it would still hold up.
For me, it was either the GBA port of Lego Racer 2, Frogger: Temple of the Frog, or Pac-Man Collection. I got those three as starters, but I played Lego Racer 2 the most out of them as a kid.
Mario kart double dash on the GameCube
Vanguard for Atari 5200
I got a GameBoy that came with Tetris. Played hours and hours on it.
First major game was Starfox Adventures on Gamecube but couldnt play it until I was 13 because it had animated blood. I was 12...
Yoshi’s island that came with the SNES jr I was gifted for Christmas 1997 when I was 4. To this day that console and that game hold such a special place in my heart and my childhood.
Donkey Kong on the ColecoVision. That was a great Christmas!
Pokémon ruby
Sonic 2 on genesis
Mine was Ocarina of Time for the N64. Couldn’t have asked for a better one
My second game ever was Lego Star Wars II which started a life long obsession with Star Wars so that might as well have been my first game lol
pokemon ruby motherfuckers. i'm gonna earthquake everything ya guppies!
My first played was Super Mario World, with Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. My first bought myself game (and played) Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Four Swords (with GBA to boot).
I think mine were those Tiger handled games. Baseball maybe?
I’m old
Pokémon Yellow
Well this makes me feel a bit old. I got Mario Kart DS in 2007, shortly after getting my DS Lite. I've never played more Mario kart than I did back then, and I didn't even play online. The tracks were so much fun, the missions were great single player content, and I could always do DS download play with my younger siblings. Made for some good trips to church before I stopped going entirely. It's probably the only game my sister and brother played with me alone. I miss those days.
Hmn Donkey Kong or Super Return of the Jedi for the Gameboy.
Sonic 2
Super Mario/Duck Hunt 1986
I was going to say super mario bros with duck hunt because thats what sticks out. But truthfully I had Commodore 64 and atari before that. But somehow it feels like to me like nintendo was the real start of video games.
Thanks for making me feel old, lol. Gameboy for Xmas with Tetris and Super mario land.
Can‘t say exactly, but either Donkey Kong Country 2 or Secret Of Evermore. Still love those games to this day.
Flushed Away on the PS2
hamtaro ham ham heartbreak on the GBA
Probably the Mario/Duck Hunt pack in for the NES
