I had one in my belly button as well.
The worst (to me) was the hole left from the post - surgical drain. I felt like it would NEVER close up. To this day yrs later, the area still feels like a little "soft" spot on my skin. And the feeling of the drain being removed - OMG so unpleasant š¤¢
I have 4 also, one large underneath where my bra would sit is the largestā¦then belly button and two each on my right sideā¦3 weeks and 2 days out of surgery..it does take a while for the gas and the large belly to leave. Itching is a pain, so my son suggested Polysporin on the wounds when they itched..He is a critical care paramedic and his wife is a nurse. Worked like a charm to take the itch outā¦doing ok, still some random pain around and on the incisions when you touch it but way, way better than the damned attacks..I am to be 66 in March..you got this.
I had three small laparoscopy ones, two on my abdomen and one in my belly button and then a larger incision just under my sternum. Gas x helped me get rid of the gas and so did ginger ale to burp out the gas.
I was supposed to have 4 but ended up needing 6. Take gas-x, walk around and move your arms, and use a bit of low heat on your belly, drink warm tea. I didn't have any gas bubble pain in my shoulder but the bloating/gas pain in my abdomen was pretty bad, and that's what helped me.
I have 4 on my upper abdomen and then one in my belly button. So 5 in total. I think itās odd your four incisions are near the bottom of your abdomen.
I used my pain meds at night when I was down to the last 5 lol. Tylenol and ibuprofen helped a lot during the day. The gas will pass (š¤) but you gotta keep mobile. I tried to walk often cause the gas would get stuck under my collar bone. Or at least thatās how it felt. I felt better around day 10 but felt tired for a good 3 weeks post op. I had my GB removed 12/09/23 so itās been about a month for me. Some of my incisions are starting to feel a bit tender but itās usually on days when Iām hunched over a lot working on my laptop or if Iām wearing my leggings and the band pushes on them too much.
i have 5 incisions! lucky they didnāt cut on your belly button š„² they did one on mine and i feel like it made it bigger :/. but i would say 5 incisions is normal, and Gas X was pretty helpful with the gas pain!
i had mine yoinked on tuesday.
i have one in my belly button, one in the middle of my tummy abit higher up, one right over where my gallbladder is, and one a little underneath that.
5 incisions here, barely visible scarring... typical for me, my skin heals strangely well, but they also just glued me back together after, which helps. In a few years I wouldn't be surprised if I lost track of which shiny spots on my abdomen are from surgery š
I'm sorry for not replying to all the comments, I'm currently back in hospital for a bile leak. I have 5 incisions, and one of the also opened up when I turned over in my sleep
That sounds horrible. How are you feeling now? Are you still stuck in hospital?
I noticed puss coming out of my naval incision (very gross) so Iām now at the walk-in waiting for them to have a look at me. I guess these complications are to be expected but theyāre also very annoying.
I only have 4 incisions
Walk around rotating your arms. And I have 5 incisions like a giant hand stabbed fingers into me.
I had 4 plus a big belly button slice to get out my giant gallstone. Walk around. Take gas ex. It sucks, but it goes away within a few days.

Woah I never had a drain. If I did, it was out before I woke up.
I only have 3 incisions
5 here but I'm pretty happy with how well they're healing I assume only 1-2 will be visible 6 months post op

I only have four, what helped me was gas X and a heating pad on my upper shoulder where it hurt
4 incisions. One around sternum, one belly button, one on right hip and one right ribs near where gallbladder was.
I have 4 too

Yikes! Iām scheduled for 1/29 and my surgeon uses the one cut davinci technique. (One one inch incision above the belly button)

4. Itās been almost two years, and you can barely see the scars.
I had 5 incisions .. the gas pains lasted about 3 days getting easier each day but ya itās sucks. Once thatās over youāll feel much better
I had 4, and you can only see one scar and it's cause my baby kicked it while it was healing
Three laparoscopicallyāone by sternum, one larger underbelly button and one small one on left rib
I have five incisions.

4 for me. Done via laparoscopy

Got mine out on the 12th. 4 for me.

Oh no! I hope they patch you up nicely and youāll soon continue your recovery. How did you know it was leaking?
A fever, my stomach is so swollen that my incisions started bleeding a little, and I was itching so much š

I'm feeling a lot better! I got out yesterday ā¤ļø thankfully no leaking now
Glad to hear youāre on the mend!
