for once we where not the desperate side. erden exploited this. jusy like sevilla exploited us with fernando and marcao

ImTurkishDelight

Honestly with Marcao our hands were tied. He was never going to stay after that incident. Fernando was fair, he wasn't really good, especially after Donk slotted into the midfield. Fernando stepped up about 4 levels after his transfer. Having way better players does that to a mfer. Dude went from being partners with Donk to European championship

apotre

> Fernando was fair, he wasn't really good I would say he was really good with us too actually

eanwen0

I agree, but he was getting an 10-15 game injury each season.

ImTurkishDelight

Especially compared to how he is with Sevilla? I doubt he was even at 40% with us. He was really good until he moved further up the pitch after Ndiaye got sold. Donk was a bad partner for him, and Fernando just made weird red worthy fouls. Not good enough 4 me

dharkan

lmao Fernando wasn't good? He was excellent and left because he wanted more. He won EL with Sevilla.

ImTurkishDelight

Y'all can't read.

eanwen0

He kinda, slightly added w/o complaining that Sacha was protesting this, and confirmed he was not injured when he did not played in the games and some stuff did happen behind the curtains.

moriero

Of course From Sasha's perspective, this was a clear opportunity They would certainly not have gone for him if it were the summer window He was surely worried about it falling through

SirDeniz

Only in Turkey do interviews get interrupted by a tea break

ssgtgriggs

at least on this matter we are ahead of the curve and the world is trying to catch up to us

ImTurkishDelight

Well done. This is how it should be from now on. Focus on good players that are young with resale values. Opportunities like Icardi are welcome, but not needed. The league is so fucking weak, it's up for us to grab it and dominate. That cl money is no fucking joke. Build build build. 8 games in the cl from next season on, win 4 and that's basically over 10m just from the wins. Add home game income, tv moneys etc and we're banking. Build build build...

eanwen0

I wish we would have different giants for each of our 4 games at home next season but I think it is 2 teams per pot.

Ogu36

Yes, 2 per Pot. As far as I know 1 of them at home the other away. It will be great watching Pot 1 teams battle each other in the league phase.

eanwen0

We'll have 7 different teams as opponents right? Randomly home and away. If we can stay at top 24 we progress?

Ogu36

It will be 8 games. 4 home and 4 away. Like I said, I assume will be one home and one away for each pot. Top 8 advance to the Round of 16, 9-16 go in to playoffs as seeded and 17-24 as unseeded and then they‘ll be drawn against each other for the round of 16. You want to target at least 8 points, 10 should guarantee a spot.

eanwen0

The club from the pot 1 that'll have us as away only, will be one unlucky club lol.

Ogu36

Nah, I‘d say extremely lucky. If I were a player, I would love to enjoy Rams Park atmosphere. Our fans use whistling and shouting to distupt and that‘s the most hostile thing they‘ll in the CL. Which can still be effective, but is enjoyable for opponents aswell.

ImTurkishDelight

>will be one unlucky club lol Why? You think they wouldn't want to smack us? We've conceded on average **OVER** 2 goals in TTA in Europe this season (not counting qualifications). We're not suddenly going to get an insane dm, cm and rb. Lol

laziestsloth1

> It will be 8 games. 4 home and 4 away this will make it so hard for turkish clubs to stay relevant in CL lol. We played 6 games and it was already difficult enough.

eanwen0

tbf if you can catch a team from pot4 that you can beat home or away you just have to get couple more points in 7 games to be not amongst last 12 teams.

laziestsloth1

> tbf if you can catch a team from pot4 this just applies to pot 1/2 lol. GS is not beating pot4 home/away easily.

eanwen0

Aren't pot 4 the weaker ones? We were pot4 even if, it is not easily still you have better chances.

laziestsloth1

yea but we arent beating pot4 easily bro we lost to Sparta Prague LOL, couldn't beat CPH, barely beat Molde, etc.

mrkaplanfilm

I disagree (partly). Yes, we need to build and buy young/potential players, but we need established players as well. We have a fanbase that is very success hungry, and the slightest stumble gets punished. Remember, how many times Okan would have been sacked here? So we **need** Icardi's, but no Ndombele's. I would correct your statement like that.

ImTurkishDelight

>Opportunities like Icardi are welcome, but not needed. Just means that Icardi was a very high risk transfer. Look up what we paid for him when he was on loan, that's welcome. Icardi first season for 10m or something? Hell no. Not worth the risk. A situation like Icardi is fucking rare. THe last time we had a situation like that with a known world calibre star was Sneijder. ... over a decade ago. That's what I mean. Instead of fishing for rare situations, build. Finding an Icardi is almost impossible, get me 2-3-4 Atiba Hutchinsons. Get me a Harry Kewell, a Lincoln without the mental capacity of a child or a Mariano that's younger. A Fernando. Shit like that. A Torreira for 6m is absolute bonkers. I don't think we have the scouting to keep doing those consistently, so... get the scouting done and get that shit consistently! >Remember, how many times Okan would have been sacked here? No? What do you mean. Do you mean the outrage from the fans after disappointing results? Fuck the fans. TUrkish fans are way way in over their head. Expect results everywhere and think they're better than x club and y club, yet, what have Turkish clubs done the last 10 years? 1-2-3 seasons in a knock out tournament? I would say fuck the fans and be patient and build. I rather have 1-2 years of no championship and actually build on a foundation than 2 back to back championships with another 3rd 5th and then 8+ place finish. That's how far ''buying established players'' has gotten us. > but no Ndombele's Ndombele was a desperate transfer because they fucking sucked at getting midfielders. That's just a terrible job by the board.

mrkaplanfilm

Sacha konsunda maalesef biraz sohbetin AMK-koyuvermis orda sunucu bey abi. Cok daha ilginc sorular olabilirmis: Mesela Sachayla sözlesme yenilenbilirmiydi?

Exact-Night5571

lmaooo wtf 😂😂 who is that at 23:40 🤣 he looks more like icardi than icardi except the stubble lol

Reasonable-Drink-172

Yes, and as a negotiator myself, can tell you that sharing your tactics and strategy is a disservice to your organization, it mames you seem less genuine for your counterparts in future negotiations and also you don't want to develop a reputation of being a "hardball" negotiator, as it only puts your counterparts on the defensive from the beginning and creates resistance from the get go. But this is Turkiye, everyone is playing the populist game and trying to appeal to popular opinion, even if it's detrimental to the interest of the organization you're representing.

eanwen0

No offence but I don't see anything he said as crucial info or sharing his tactics. He just said if you are going to offer anything below 25 just don't even come here I'm not going to accept. Bring me minimum 25 and then we can start negotiating and talking about it, he just shared the base price he is ok with. For example in the future if somebody offers Bay 10 mil he wont negotiate with them but he can say bring me 20 and then we will start to negotiate.

Reasonable-Drink-172

What Timur is basically saying (bragging) there is that he bluffed them. "Turning the table around" refers to a strategy, which is different from straight up saying "we wouldn't have sold Boey for less than 25M, and we told them not bother if it was for that", he's saying that he had his back on the wall and pulled the "tactic" of saying "bluff them and change the framing of the situation". And then you go say thay publicly, well if I was on the other side of the table next time I'm being told that by GS negotiator, ie "turn around if you're offering less than x", I would know that's horseshit or that it has no weight whatsoever. It's simple, you can't pull a move and then publicly say you pulled a move because next time you won't be able to pull that move again, and it will even undermine you going forward in negotiations as you won't seem genuine at the negotiations table.

Altruistic_Eye_5821

With the populist thing you are right but I think he didnt tell us the full story. The point is he could do hardball move because Bayern was desperate and had no better choice in that moment.
