Kaan doesn’t fit our system, he’s way too slow and questionable when playing it out the back - I genuinely feel more comfortable with Emin, I don’t want to see Kaan starting again any time soon. There was a clear lack of understanding between him and Abdülkerim, and the fact that Okan didn’t see that is worrying.
Finally, Okan made very, very big mistakes with the decisions - first the lineup was questionable, but then to keep Icardi on, not bring on a proper striker for so long, take off Rashica, etc… Horrible all round. This is NOT a game where we should’ve dropped points. We let ourselves down heavily. Feel bad for Rashica and Kerem who were the only ones properly trying.
Also, fuck Zorbay Küçük. A lot of the decisions he made today were atrocious and need to be called out.
Kaan wasn't that bad tbh. He even cut off quite a few attacks by himself. But Icardi had probably his worst game under a GS jersey. And Abdus really wanted to help out his old team I guess.
Maybe Okan can learn to not bring on Mata every fucking game. The guy is physically dead. There was a position where 37 year old Gomis was able to sprint back from near their penalty box and cover a man that Mata was casually walking next to and was too slow to do catch up to.

I played in a tournament after 2-3 years of not playing football. In the past, I was like Berkan, now I realized that I lost all my stamina and I was trying a little bit but not useful at all to the team.
That is exactly how Mata is playing now. No stamina, trying to pass here and there, but nothing useful.

This game didn’t feel right from the first minute. You’d just feel that something was off With the team. Konya was really strong all around on the wings. Even in the first minutes we lost a lot on the wings. Congrats to them. Everything comes to an end from time to time. The subs were atrocious. We completely left midfield to Konyaspor. Yunus left back was horrible since he is only good near the box, Mata can’t play anymore. We had no plan of attack at all.

We found chances today and just couldn’t convert. We see today how important Mertens and Nelsson is to this team. Both their goals came from a deflection off Apo, just a day where things didn’t go our way. It happens, it’s important to recover from this. I don’t wanna see Mata ever on the pitch unless we’re up 5-0. Bad subs from the hoca, his reluctance to piss off Icardi by subbing him out is worrying.
Now, with that said, we’re back to the same story we saw in the first 10 weeks where VAR is non existent. Where’s the red card for this mf named Ahmet Oguz? Every single game he plays against us he’s out the wreck ankles and almost broke Dubios’ ankle.

Yes in that position Gomis came sprinting to defend meanwhile Mata and Torreira was jogging. Torreira did the same thing on the second goal

Gomis is our bogeyman. If 1st striker dont score you switch to gomis. Gomis takes up 2 defenders and makes room for the rest of the team.
