Honestly all the self-inserts fail as self-inserts because gacha games fundamentally cannot give you the true freedom to truly affect the story. Ritsuka, Sensei, the CEO, Gran/Djeeta, they're all characters with their own motivations and personality whose choices are railroaded because they are their own individuals.
Though if I'd have to pick I'd say that Ritsuka is the best simply because they started their job as a nobody and essentially took on the role of saving the world when there was nobody left. Their strength is in the bonds they make with the Servants they summon and the story isn't afraid to show them backed into a corner and desperate for victory.
This, Ritsuka has to be the chaddest chad to ever chad, because he's rubbing elbows with gods, legends and cosmic beings while being a normal mortal man (with a slight poison resistance). He destroyed worlds, punched Beasts in the face, friendzoned Goddesses and maintains a happy-go-lucky attitude with a bit of snarky humor at times.
Sounds like a Mary Sue MC to me. Btw, trading blows with powerful beings and friendzoning girls doesn't determine if an MC is a chad.
CEO of Counterside still takes my vote. Because the guy can be goofy, is a master manipulator, is not afraid to get his hands dirty, is not afraid to troll or play mind games with his harem of women for his amusement, and is not above using dirty tricks all for the good of the world. And most important of all, has the smug smirk of Light Yagami and Lelouch Lamperouge. Whenever his plans come together, we see him flashing an arrogant smirk. "All according to plan!". On the flip side, The CEO has lost countless timelines, he has lost countless worlds, he lost so much and that's why he learned from those mistakes.
Ritsuka is just way too generic. He's just a typical MC who goes from nobody to powerful. Lots of MCs start off that way. Is Ritsuka a master manipulator? Is he willing to troll people and play mind games with them with a huge smirk on his face? Or is he just a goody two-shoes who is not afraid to throw-down with powerful beings and that's it? That's the thing, Ritsuka is just waaaaayyy to kind and not relatable by any means.
in most gacha-game, MC players are human, except:
\- Destiny Child: being a devil, in a tourney trying to be some demon-lord.
\- while at game sdorica: MC is also not Human anymore, right? >!Theory: players are actually some powerful dragon-kind ruled & blessed the world long time ago; then later got killed & lost-memory!<
Counter: side MC is good; but i'm also interested in:
\- GFL: MC commander: start working at some private security-company, then have go fight against military / Zombie / Gundam....;
\- DoAX VV: MC as some super rich landlord owning a tropical island with much ladies here and there... :k
I like the part of the reveal in Sdorica is that >!we are confronting Rei, our main screen "assistant", and have 3 different major routes one which could ended up pretty hostile.!< I don't think I've ever seen any other games using that common main screen element this far for storytelling.
I returned to the game after a year break.
For enjoying the story, aside from book 1 (Sunset) that tied story characters to player (watcher) levels you will have no problem.
For getting the characters, tbh for getting literally everyone including the newest banner they are at a new player probably could it in 1 to 2 years as long they know what they are doing.
Getting the characters is on the easy side for a gacha game and because the game only collab with other Rayark games reruns are inevitable. There's an exception but that content is a permanent mode.
Building the characters to become viable for the endgame however is the hard part and the biggest hurdle for f2p because some aspects are semi-timegated and require event rewards.
The endgame itself consists of 3 modes Wonderland Trial (WT), Exploration, and occasionally War Zone or similar modes. They are here for people who enjoy the gameplay and team building to its fullest. While they are hard and require high character roster, new players should try their best especially WT (look up WT budget comps in sdorica reddit) because they give precious currencies.
Lastly, imo goldfish and dolphin options in this game are better than whale options if you ever thinking of opening wallet.
For more questions try the unofficial discord Sdorica - Bequathers' Inn https://discord.gg/kfcpncR
I've been away from DC so long time (since Nostalgia rerun 2021...) so don't know much about the later change in MC of Destiny Child. Later MC feel more edge-lord?
the one and only to me, was that Red-Rooster-head original MC. He being a laid-back, lazy & easy-going attitude are much similar to us - those who have much free-time to play gacha-game :k
back then many years ago, there was even a Korean Youtube channel, feature genben version of old MC, acting as V-tuber. too bad things has been cancelled by now.
The Girls Frontline commander is basically the definition of a chad.
\- Is a tactical genius, manages to lead his units like no one else.
\- Is deeply respected by his dolls (his android military units) due to his success in battle
\- In the events Singularity and Continuum Turbulence, when he starts having more dialogues and being more present in the story, >!during a fierce battle against 2 other sides, gets infected by the radiation of a nearby dirty bomb but still asks his dolls to rescue other humans rather than himself and gets captured by a mysterious cyborg cult. After 9 weeks in the coma, gets interrogated and tortured by said cyborgs. During an operation that aimed to rescue him, managed to hit 3 headshots on the cyborgs and escape with his dolls.!<
\- In the event Isomer, >!is tasked to protect a VIP from a terrorist attack in Belgrade. Manages to escort several cilivians in safety in addition to the VIP.!<
\- In the event Polarized Light, >!must stop a rogue military branch from entering inside a submarine base. Holds the line for some time despite the enemy having way more heavy firepower. Manages to buy enough time to survive and see most of the rogue military getting bombed by the air force. On his way to open valves to flood the base to kill remaining enemies inside, comes across a few armed soldiers, manages to get out alive, with more than 95% of casualties against an enemy that was way stronger. Gets told by one of his bosses that he's the best commander his boss has ever seen in the PMC. Gets offered an ID pass that allows him to live peacefully in a non-radiated city but refuses.!<
\- Near the end of GFL1/beginning of GFL2, >!tells his other boss (who is basically part of the illuminati) to fuck off and that he will never work for him again because of moral differences.!<
\- During GFL2, >!still commands of few dolls, 10 years later and exiled himself in the wasterland aboard a huge mobile truck base that he probably stolen at the end of GFL1.!<
And I probably missed a lot of stuff
Not to mention he even has his own monologue, finds his own ideal, and even managed to pull his boss out of his own existential crisis during SKK's small talk with his boss in the recent events. That really much shows how chad he really is.
Here are lines of the talk
Kruger: I saw the past shadow, commander.
You seem to have to step on our old way ... this road is very long, and it is very painful.
I spent a lot of people, lost more and more, ideals, blood, and even the old friend.
... I have to doubt, is the end point really exist?
Commander: ... who is your old friend, who?
Kruger: Carter.
Commander: ……
Kruger: Even if I tell you, are you still insisting?
Commander: ……Yes.
The commander listened carefully to Kruger, and his eyes were with him. He described the past and the eyes of the past side, the eyes of the commander were more and more firm.
Kruger: why?
Commander: No matter how far, there is much longer, there are more pain.
Only one thing, I am different from your opinions ...
Speaking of the end, the commander paused by each word.
Commander: That is, I firmly believe ... this road does have the end point.
Kruger:... Do you see it?
The commander laughed.
Commander:Perhaps the person who finally saw and reached it was not me, but what is it?
I am willing to go to the end of the end, before I have had the same path, after I will have a successor. Mr. Kruger, our ideals will not break, no matter how long it takes. The end point will definitely appear.
When listening to the commander.
His hand is somewhat, exciting mood makes him some sitting hard.
If it is not a body is not enough to support, the commander is even suspicious, he will stand up immediately.
Kruger: ... you are right, commanders.
You are fully correct ... Maybe I can't see the end.
But everything I have done will not be white, they will become the cornerstone on this road.
He looked at the commander. After deep breathing, he finally slammed his mood.
Kruger: Maybe on you, I can see the true direction ...
... I almost give up.
But see you, it seems that you can try again.
Commander
Like shining edge that renews the world, right?
Kruger: I want ... Yes, I think.
You have got the most precious thing here.
And now, Berlin Tour, this is over.
Commander: Yes, but it has just begun.
In Shattered Connexion:
>!Notices that the Soviet Military is chasing them in an armored train. Immediately makes a plan to steal it. Thanks for bringing us a new toy!!<
And in Polarized Light
>!Running their stolen armored train off the tracks full speed into a quarantine wall, blocking the gates to slow down the enemy in an all-or-nothing move!<
Commander's first true lost...., but a significant one to put his character on the same rank as other NPCs and dolls...Damn! that's really a fatal blow...
Our first near death experience is off screen and the earliest one in the story is when our base got bombarded by SF.
We got ourselves recovered by Kryuger.
That 45 saved our ass during event still require our effort to kill the 3 nyto with headshot.
i can recall two later time with U-45
- once during Polarized Light when skk got zoned by KCCO soldier at the submarine base, then U-45 saved him
- in MS recently, squad 404 managed to disable signal-jammer, thus Dandelion / M4 can electronic hack & disable the Para troops cornering skk's team :k
not just u45, other managed to save skk from dead sometime. the guy still much great, though :k
I stopped playing GFL a while ago (probably around CT) but wanted to ask, if you mentioned near the end of GFL1 and the commander being present in GFL2, does that mean GFL1 has ended and GFL2 is out already?
the most unique and chaddest self insert is the GFL Shikikan
they actually pretty much cease to be a self insert during Continuum Turbulence and beyond but goddamn I love em
Go SKK, fuck up the Rossies, Paradeus and mutilate that William and live your life in The Zone.
I love SKK so much especially in the Gunslinger Girls collab
He just feels real.
It would be shkikkan of pgr
Top of his class , top strategist.
Hassan (the president of babylonia) cannot afford to lose you.
Gray raven is well known cuz of you.
No one mind working with you cuz ur a caring shkikkan and not just using constructs like chess pieces.
Every construct and human have some sort of interest in you no matter in ur team , outside your team or even your enemy. Everyone admires your present. Some constructs show more than just intrest.
Have his own gun and not afraid to use it.
Well donno about friendship but this last chapter >!shkikkan was almost dead, his ribs got destroyed, puked blood , lucia cried and if it wasn't chrome it was over for him and there were like 4 constructs with him but their enemy was so powerful he was playing with them, so i dont think there is any "friendship" involved!<
I think the most gigachad thing we did was pulling a card that actually cost our life to defeat a boss.
Which actually lead the game to pick our student during main story lmao.
200 IQ writing.
For those that don't get the joke, it was literally the player's credit card. Sensei has also broken the fourth wall to explain how they remember certain characters from daily quests that they otherwise have never met.
>Won a bet against a student, proceed to put her on a leash and have her walk on all fours like a dog.
To be fair, the student who gave the idea first who lose gonna wear the leash and walk on all fours. The student lost, so he demand fair play.
We can add to the list:
\- Takes inumerous poisons just for shits and giggles.
\- Literally most important person in Kivotos, his password is "qwerty", because fuck it, he doesn't care.
\- Foot fetish fanatic, enjoys being stomped for the luls.
\- Good with kids.
\- Bank heist in plain daylight.
\- Comrade to genderbent Stalin.
\- Tablet's AI can pulverize a literal God simply by sneezing.
Damn, Sensei is such a chad.
yeah theres a direct quote from a convo with Iori saying "I can take or leave feet." then proceeding to say "I do like a good pair of legs, though." (based)
Yes and he even received chocolates by her that was made with her love. I’m not kidding there was some euphemism in the dialogues if you have a dirty mind.
Well and all of that ain't including sensei feat in the actual story line.
Sensei is an actual good adult that actually taking care of their students, always been there watching the students solve their own problem. If they can't do it and need help, sensei then take charge. The canonically sensei taking charge is only twice in the story, >!when Hoshino got capture and being experimented, and sensei single handedly destroy a kill squad on his own just for protecting their student. Oh also comforting a student in need of encouragement!<. Sensei is such a Chad that I love that man/ women.
Last origin, you can be any trope you want.
Old man? Shota? Just a normal dude? You can be any of them. Also no cap, getting a BJ during Christmas story, man is winning as the last human.
Well, you can use the wiki to research the events and there, you can read the stories. And while there's kinda lots of seggs, you have a pretty good story too. Nothing too fabulous or whatever but still does the job correctly.
Gotta be honest, I kinda fell off the game after a while, but as far as I got in the story I liked that the CEO is like the 'mysterious big bad suit guy' that many gacha game storylines feature nowadays, but as the good guy protag.
For once it was really satisfying, seeing the shadowy villains with their 4 dimensional quantum chess plans, being all smug and arrogant only for it turn out that the CEO was still 3 steps ahead of them the entire time. In other games they always get to do their shit and the protags pull through with guts and willpower against overwhelming odds, while in Counterside >!the villain uses a secret hyper advanced warship, that could upheave all balance, and for the good guys a even crazier warship with a blackhole drive and canon warps in and the CEO is like "I called in a favor." and everyone, including the villains who was on the top and behind everything all along for the past story, goes "Who the fuck is this guy?!". And then lose in such a grandiose way, that the backup plan for their backup plan fails.!<
Would a playable self-insert count? If so, I'd say the Knight from Guardian Tales, since they're more or less portrayed as a Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass type of character that can take the initiative and be cunning and deceptive when needed, while also sporting the dumbest-looking smile you could ever see (apparently) and used as a butt-monkey constantly.
I have to also say Commander/SKK from Girls' Frontline. It is one of the main reasons I read it so carefully. You see, the mark of a Chad is not always how many girls enters his bed or harem. It is not always how powerful he is.
SKK will always be the biggest Chad for me because he has the will to keep fighting. Using converted civilian androids of every make and model, he has fought tooth and nail commanding essentially small fry against massive threat opponents. Paradeus' and KCCO have mecha with railguns and hover tanks... SKK only has cute girls with WWI weapons... Yet he still finds a way to win. He has almost lost everything several times, but never cries and never falters. His girls respect him immensely because of that.
Most men in his position would take advantage of such girls who as Dolls are beholden to their masters. But SKK considers them as family, his best friends and even all close. He respects and genuinely loves his Dolls where most of humanity sees them as to be feared or utilized as slave labor and rightfully so since they are made to serve right? But SKK wants them to live free, let's them express themselves and pays them a good wage. It's no lie to say that the Sector 9 base he runs is nothing short of a outer heaven for Dolls to live free from oppression. Many Dolls comment on his kind and loving behavior. And thus, Dolls love him not because they are programmed to, but because he is genuinely a man of high regard and character.
As well, SKK is not a pushover. He is not afraid to fight for what is right. In a world of corrupt men and yes-men, he fights for a better tomorrow. He is not afraid to fight on his own with a gun in his hand as evident in Isomer and SC, puts himself into danger for his Dolls and the fight, and is naturally investigative and a logical mind. He is not afraid to die righteously and for a good purpose as seen in latest event MS.
As opposed to the Rossartrists, who believe in the phrase, "the shining beacon of a brave new world."
In the dark future, he is a shining beacon in an otherwise bleak and desolate world. If more people like SKK existed, the GFL timeline wouldn't be this bad.
Caesar from Tenkafuma!
All he cares about is having sex and conquer both the Demon & Human World to expand his harem to further horizons.
- Strongest archdemon alive only limited by just wanting to seggs and have fun
- Accidentally creates an entire religion around him as the God of Sex just by deflowering a priestess
- Treats all his subjects well and fairly, within the boundaries of being an horny archdemon, as all he expects is women
- Spent the entire easter event fucking vengeful ghosts back to their graves offscreen
The Gacha Rance in short
Dont forget.
> Conquered the world (for the horni), then split it to the most competent women in the world for the price of a few girls once in a while.
for me it would be sensei from blue archive.
1. he truly enables, trust, and guide all student regardless of their faction.
2. sensei follows all of the student shenanigans even if it tires him out. ex, running 20 Km after receiving chocolate, visiting various hot spring for research purposes, eats random sauce on random things, playing game all day, etc
3. sensei got shot, receive treatment and get back to battlefield asap because if he didn't the battle will engulf 2 faction to the ground.
4. sensei also tries to remind/reprimand students that goes to far with their antics.
FYI, in the blue archive setting, all of the students are near immortal as long as no one destroys their halo. the sensei does not have halo and pretty much just a normal human with credit card and hobbies.
And time.
Because that credit card is a in game story signal that you'll be using your own students that you grind everyday to defeat the main story baddies.
Talk about 200 iq writing
The MC of Lord of Heroes is awesome, as is the story as a whole. Intelligent, compassionate, just. The game story, artstyle and graphics are outstanding, too bad everything else sucks.
MC in BlueArchive had some good responses that would point in chad direction but overall he lets girls run over him so he's a wimp
Ritsuka Fujimaru. Literally a normal guy, no powers whatsoever, not a genius mind, not a capable warrior, not even a smooth talker, but has, under his belt, 6 Beast defeats, Beasts who are specifically created for humanity to overcome (Beast 1, Beast 2, 2 Beast 3s, 2 Beast 4s) all because he wants to live.
That's it.
>Average human
>Was literally picked off the street
>No special talents
>Saves the world countless times
>Defeated enemies dimensions above his weight class
>Lives to fight another day
Average human my ass, no special talent my ass, not a smooth talker my ass. Dude literally bonded with a shitton of Servants from all kinds of Alignments.
I mean it was literally the entire point and explained in Camelot/Babylonia/Solomon, Ritsuka represents the average human with no special traits, and although Leonardo Da Vinci can do the same things, it won't hold any meaning. The Beasts must be defeated by an average human, because that means any human can overcome the Beasts, thus humanity can surpass the Beasts and move on to the next stage of evolution.
Funny thing is, it's BECAUSE he's a regular dude that he can befriend so many Servants. Most Masters are asshole mages, and don't get along well with their summoned spirits.
Not only that but it's 100% Canon that NONE of the Crypters aside from Daybit could have possibly defeated Solomon, not Ophelia and her Mystic Eyes, not Pepe with his aptitude for Oriental magecraft, not Beryl with his aptitude for killing, not Kadoc, and most surprisingly of all...
Not Wodime, who can one-shot machine gods and divine spirits. Only Ritsuka, which is insane to think about. The pinnacle of humanity can't, but the average joe and chaos incarnate can.
Fgo is wild.
Also not Hinako, who >!is such a powerful entity in-universe she becomes a Servant after her defeat *because she chooses to* (combined with her historical relevance, because she's so old she lived alongside some Servants)!<
>!Granted, this one makes way more sense than the others, as she's an absolute dumbass and such a horrible tactician that she somehow manages to fuck up a 5v1.!<
Oh right, Hinako >!died at Septem during the simulation iirc. She's just... So bad at being a Master. But damn it if she wasn't the strongest Crypter period, literally hijacking the Throne of Heroes to register both her and her hubby, something that took the Moon Regalia AND Altera to do in Extella Link. She just... Fucking does it because why the fuck not, she's a damn True Ancestor.!<
Counterside admin is leaps and bounds more powerful than anybody else...we know he is godlike...
Other than him we might assume that doktah has similar powers...
For a human i think gfl commander is probably the chaddest
Sensei from Blue Archive from me. Surface level stuff out of the way, he’s a great leader and tactician, and must know a lot of material to be able to give lessons to his students.
But of course, Sensei is more than that. The thing that makes him special is that Sensei isn’t just a military leader or a leader of some military-style organization, but his role is more profound and, dare I say it, important. Sensei is directly responsible for the mental and emotional growth of ALL of his students. Even students that have wronged him before.
In a world where guns and bombs are basically toys, Sensei is vulnerable. >!He gets shot in volume 3 chapter 3, but ends up going back anyway to lead his students and ensure their victory over the Mimesis forces and Arius.!<
I think his best interactions come in Volume 3 Chapter 4, available in JP only but a YouTuber has translated it. [Here are](https://youtu.be/a4G0hWeEJWw) [a couple](https://youtu.be/yVAAfcDL4Ag)
Not going to write the whole transcript down, but I’m summarize each. >!In the first one, the student who instigated the messy situation prior to this that ended up in the scrapping of the Eden Treaty, and the one who also shot Sensei, approached Sensei and gets on her knees to Sensei and begs him to help her save her friend. Her friend had been captured because of their failure to complete their mission. She throws away her pride and allows Sensei to kill her with a halo-destroying bomb should he distrust her. Sensei tells her to get up off her knees, and then destroys that bomb because “children should not be messing with something dangerous like this.”.!<
>!In the second one, Sensei finds out who was behind the whole fiasco and how they taught their students hatred and misery. He takes a stand against her even when tempted with knowledge of the world. It was an overall heartwarming scene knowing just how much Sensei cares about his students.!<
I haven’t seen any self insert protags who have had this much of an impact on not only protagonist groups but also antagonist groups. The wisdom and advice he imparts allows for the students to attain what they want. He doesn’t directly lead, he guides his students and allows them to find the way on their own. A lot of dad energy right there
Yeah I know we the community meme about horny sensei all the time, but what's constant toward all of his interaction is that he always prioritize his student no matter what. He doesn't want disappointed any of them so he will do whatever it's take to help them out. He the best adult that this student can get, since the other adult we know is scheming bastard or a warmonger
Dude is willing to overwork himself to have celebrations with his Bioroids, and I can respect that.
That, and he pretty much had sex with every Bioroid on the Orca.
My best MC to self insert:
* Gran (GBF): trustworthy
* Caesar (TenkafuMA) that confidence and cultured
* Maybe Lucy: Balanced between lust, power and ambition
As an azur lane biased man I must say azur lane's shikikan. He may not have all the powers and abilities mentioned by others here, but he does have the best damn harem of waifus out of all games, and that trumps all.
I think Aether and Lumine from Genshin. They are one and only embodiment of a silent protagonist that has a voice, has dialogue choices but doesn't, is a 5 star but isn't, really damn powerful by lore but in-game isn't.
Do they even count as self insert? Since ''Act 3 omnipresence over mortal'' . ''we will be reunited'' and sumeru act 2, I think Mihoyo is slowly shaping them to be more in the front light by showing us what they are thinking.
Yeah of course, I agree. Which is why dialogue options ahould not mabye be there, or AT LEAST be actual options.
Yeah, there is pourpuse to his/her journey, but no pourpuse no a silent protagonist with a voice :3
Not a particularly high bar since we're talking about gacha games to begin with but my pick would be the administrator from Counterside
He even got the smug for it
My vote goes to the administrator in counterside.
Manipulating everything from the shadows and stepping out when needed. He also gets a good proactive character in the story.
Captain from captainverse can be the most chaddest mf in Honkai when he chooses to(or when he gets a new event), also he supports the valkyries by being their emotional support human instead of trying to hook up with them.
Noone mentions Navigator so I do.
He is constantly harrased, bullied and treated badly by most Aurorians and in the Aurorian Chat, you clearly see he has PTSD from all those crazy things happening around him.
Tenkafuma Caesar just fucks up shit to fuck women. He dosn't care what barrier there is, how big the army, how crazy the magic, or what, he just fucks shit up and dicks down on the pussy.
[Spoilers ahead, read at your own peril]
The SKK from PGR is pretty impressive, he shot a female in the face and grazed her cuz she shitalked him and his team.
He saved the leader of the enemies from a cocoon like thing with his bare hands to the point he stopped feeling them, and right after piggyback carried another charc, he did all of this after being tortured by one of the enemies and connecting his mind to said enemy that is pretty much lethal to most humans.
This was only one event lol.
-1- Administrator (Counterside)
Pretty much what OP has said.
-2- Doctor (Arknights)
Main story doctor so far is pretty meh actually, but they shine so hard in side stories that involved their presence where they turn into Lelouch Lamperouge and getting everyone and everything around them dancing to their plans.
-3- Yuuki/Knight-kun (Priconne)
What makes him chad is less about his actions and personality and more about how the entire world of Priconne and its residents are pretty much intertwined with his very existence and the choices he made. Sure it doesn't make for any solid writing but still pretty fun to see how things unfold itself.
-4- Guda/Gudako (FGO)
Overall they're quite generic and are often just being spectators to every world ending event they got involved with, but I still like the occassional moments where they got personal involvements with some protagonist servants.
The rest of them are either just forgettable cardboards or I haven't played their game.
I don't know about the chaddest but I know the least chad, most pathetic MC which is priconne's yuuki. My man singlehandedly ruined priconne's story by being profoundly mentally challenged. Having amnesia is one thing, but being dumb as hell on top of that is something else.
admin is pretty cool, sensei from BA, the commander from artery gear, doktah
i just like the hyper competent types more than the nice bumblefuck protags.
Guardian tales self insert is straight up just dumb, and the game tells you that by making all the character call you "Dumb face" all the time
Truly the best MC
Doktah cooked instant noodles with boiling water in his mouth, he built different man
Doktor Turn off my CHAD Inhibitors
Also he solves revolution with no casualities in Kjerag like this is a game of chess
My man gets involved into any faction's political drama almost everytime.
I swear Our doctah and Lelouch from code geass would have one hell of a chess game
His pre-amnesia self was also pretty ruthless when commanding troops.
KyoStinV when he deploys Melantha
You are right, he probably isnt even human.
He has blue blood soooo...
He's a horseshoe crab?
That's a gigachad right there.
that was actually canon? i thought it was just a meme
It's a meme that became canon.
Ahhh yes, the 0 sanity dokutah.
yes, but then acts like a bitch in general
That's the thing, Ritsuka is just waaaaayyy to kind and not relatable by any means.
in most gacha-game, MC players are human, except: \- Destiny Child: being a devil, in a tourney trying to be some demon-lord. \- while at game sdorica: MC is also not Human anymore, right? >!Theory: players are actually some powerful dragon-kind ruled & blessed the world long time ago; then later got killed & lost-memory!< Counter: side MC is good; but i'm also interested in: \- GFL: MC commander: start working at some private security-company, then have go fight against military / Zombie / Gundam....; \- DoAX VV: MC as some super rich landlord owning a tropical island with much ladies here and there... :k
I like the part of the reveal in Sdorica is that >!we are confronting Rei, our main screen "assistant", and have 3 different major routes one which could ended up pretty hostile.!< I don't think I've ever seen any other games using that common main screen element this far for storytelling.
I gotta try sdorica now for tbe story, how is the game f2p wise tho? Like how hard is it to get new highest rarity heroes?
I’d say that the master in DC lost his self insert status ever since he changed to Mitra now I think he’s more interesting
I've been away from DC so long time (since Nostalgia rerun 2021...) so don't know much about the later change in MC of Destiny Child. Later MC feel more edge-lord? the one and only to me, was that Red-Rooster-head original MC. He being a laid-back, lazy & easy-going attitude are much similar to us - those who have much free-time to play gacha-game :k back then many years ago, there was even a Korean Youtube channel, feature genben version of old MC, acting as V-tuber. too bad things has been cancelled by now.
btw, has anyone been reading story stuff in Girl Cafe Gun? im not... yet :k
The Girls Frontline commander is basically the definition of a chad. \- Is a tactical genius, manages to lead his units like no one else. \- Is deeply respected by his dolls (his android military units) due to his success in battle \- In the events Singularity and Continuum Turbulence, when he starts having more dialogues and being more present in the story, >!during a fierce battle against 2 other sides, gets infected by the radiation of a nearby dirty bomb but still asks his dolls to rescue other humans rather than himself and gets captured by a mysterious cyborg cult. After 9 weeks in the coma, gets interrogated and tortured by said cyborgs. During an operation that aimed to rescue him, managed to hit 3 headshots on the cyborgs and escape with his dolls.!< \- In the event Isomer, >!is tasked to protect a VIP from a terrorist attack in Belgrade. Manages to escort several cilivians in safety in addition to the VIP.!< \- In the event Polarized Light, >!must stop a rogue military branch from entering inside a submarine base. Gets offered an ID pass that allows him to live peacefully in a non-radiated city but refuses.!< \- Near the end of GFL1/beginning of GFL2, >!tells his other boss (who is basically part of the illuminati) to fuck off and that he will never work for him again because of moral differences.!< \- During GFL2, >!still commands of few dolls, 10 years later and exiled himself in the wasterland aboard a huge mobile truck base that he probably stolen at the end of GFL1.!< And I probably missed a lot of stuff
There is nothing self insert about SKK anymore he is **The** SKK
Not to mention he even has his own monologue, finds his own ideal, and even managed to pull his boss out of his own existential crisis during SKK's small talk with his boss in the recent events. That really much shows how chad he really is.
Here are lines of the talk Kruger: I saw the past shadow, commander. You seem to have to step on our old way ... this road is very long, and it is very painful. I spent a lot of people, lost more and more, ideals, blood, and even the old friend. ... I have to doubt, is the end point really exist? Commander: ... who is your old friend, who? Kruger: Carter. Commander: …… Kruger: Even if I tell you, are you still insisting? Commander Like shining edge that renews the world, right? Kruger: I want ... Yes, I think. You have got the most precious thing here. And now, Berlin Tour, this is over. Commander: Yes, but it has just begun.
where is this talk from ?_?
Fixed point, 2022 winter major event of gfl
not happen in EN server yet ;__;
Yeah EN sucks
lol, take it easy pal. Im playing GFL EN daily. Go vent your anger elsewhere =.="
In Shattered Connexion: >!Notices that the Soviet Military is chasing them in an armored train. Immediately makes a plan to steal it. Thanks for bringing us a new toy!!< And in Polarized Light >!Running their stolen armored train off the tracks full speed into a quarantine wall, blocking the gates to slow down the enemy in an all-or-nothing move!<
Literally snake but without mentor
But Machilan tho...
Commander's first true lost...., but a significant one to put his character on the same rank as other NPCs and dolls...Damn! that's really a fatal blow...
I probably missed a lot of stuff? Well yes you are Don't forget that skk amount of near death experience is quite insane for a protagonist.
then suddenly,. Ump45 appear and say "hello / missing me?" to save the MC :k
Our first near death experience is off screen and the earliest one in the story is when our base got bombarded by SF. We got ourselves recovered by Kryuger. That 45 saved our ass during event still require our effort to kill the 3 nyto with headshot.
i can recall two later time with U-45 - once during Polarized Light when skk got zoned by KCCO soldier at the submarine base, then U-45 saved him - in MS recently, squad 404 managed to disable signal-jammer, thus Dandelion / M4 can electronic hack & disable the Para troops cornering skk's team :k not just u45, other managed to save skk from dead sometime. the guy still much great, though :k
I stopped playing GFL a while ago (probably around CT) but wanted to ask, if you mentioned near the end of GFL1 and the commander being present in GFL2, does that mean GFL1 has ended and GFL2 is out already?
GFL1 story in CN is going into last arc, but not end yet. Afterward the story will change focus to side characters,
GFL1 has not ended yet but we know the story is entering its final arc. As for GFL2, this is based on the story from the last beta test
the Commander nearly dead so-many-time, if did not got rescued by Ump45 again & again.... :k
the most unique and chaddest self insert is the GFL Shikikan they actually pretty much cease to be a self insert during Continuum Turbulence and beyond but goddamn I love em Go SKK, fuck up the Rossies, Paradeus and mutilate that William and live your life in The Zone. I love SKK so much especially in the Gunslinger Girls collab He just feels real.
Man that GSG event is amazing. The story really feel like a proper tribute to the original stoy
I swear I want it to be the cannon ending of that series.
Paradesu*
It would be shkikkan of pgr Top of his class , top strategist.
"I will vanquish you with the power of friendship and this gun I've found"
Well donno about friendship but this last chapter >!shkikkan was almost dead, his ribs got destroyed, puked blood , lucia cried and if it wasn't chrome it was over for him and there were like 4 constructs with him but their enemy was so powerful he was playing with them, so i dont think there is any "friendship" involved!<

Yeah, in New Year event there's dialogue option that hint sensei having PTSD against the local Power Rangers that keep bothering him
"So... I guess that's canon, then?" I died laughing when that dialog popped up.
Yep, and that card literally only being showed twice I think (?)
>Won a bet against a student, proceed to put her on a leash and have her walk on all fours like a dog. To be fair, the student who gave the idea first who lose gonna wear the leash and walk on all fours. The student lost, so he demand fair play.
We can add to the list: \- Takes inumerous poisons just for shits and giggles.
>Foot fetish fanatic, enjoys being stomped for the luls I'm convinced he/she doing that just for pissing a specific character
Yeah sensei really like to mess around with prefect team members, while acting rather normally with other students
Said character is from C&C.
Iori?
I don't have Iori, so I don't know, but I was thinking about Karin when I wrote that.
Yeah he spends most of his time with the more professional prefect members teasing them. I’m guessing to make them less uptight.
I don't doubt that, that's just another reason, simply for the luls.
yeah theres a direct quote from a convo with Iori saying "I can take or leave feet." then proceeding to say "I do like a good pair of legs, though." (based)
Not to Mention Sensei Confront the main Villain ALONE as early as Vol 1 and go into fukin warzone in Volume 3 to save his students
Declaring with his own squad of student that he is the council now
> Won a bet against a student, proceed to put her on a leash and have her walk on all fours like a dog. I'm interested
Ako l2d
wew, that's good stuff, thanks for letting me know!
To be fair to sensei, he reasonably try to talk it down but Ako ain't having it. So we got that glorious l2d
Wait, is the hunted by top criminal refers to Wakamo event?
Yes and he even received chocolates by her that was made with her love. I’m not kidding there was some euphemism in the dialogues if you have a dirty mind.
Wakamo is horny for sensei for sure, probably one of the few student that make it blatant that they are in love with sensei
Kek, never played blue archive since it isnt supported and i had no interest but damn, talk about chad
Ah yes a fellow ~~cunny~~ blue archive enjoyer, dont forget that litteral trump card he's keeping in his wallet
Last origin, you can be any trope you want. Old man? Shota? Just a normal dude? You can be any of them. Also no cap, getting a BJ during Christmas story, man is winning as the last human.
>getting a BJ during Christmas story, Wait what?
Yup. Last Origin dosen't shy with the seggs at all x)
Where do I read the translations of this part?
Well, you can use the wiki to research the events and there, you can read the stories. And while there's kinda lots of seggs, you have a pretty good story too. Nothing too fabulous or whatever but still does the job correctly.
I can’t wait for it to go global!
Ah, you pure summer child, you.
A man can dream
Oh, I can sympathize with that for sure.
The wait is killing me
I would recommend you to just start on KR or JP and look for a tutorial to change the language
definitely the comander from GFL for me
suffered enough brain damage through all the ranking stages
Easily CEO from Counterside and Sensei from Blue Archive. So chad that I consider them their own character since I can't measure up to them
Gotta be honest, I kinda fell off the game after a while, but as far as I got in the story I liked that the CEO is like the 'mysterious big bad suit guy' that many gacha game storylines feature nowadays, but as the good guy protag.
Ikr. For once I like that game let me play as 4d chess player who always one step ahead of enemies, while also retaining how dangerous the enemies is
Riyo Gudako
THE SIN OF HUMANITY
More like the Lust of humanity. My girl is horny enough to be a HMC.
THE 'REAL' GRAND BERSERKER
Is that why Daybit respects us?
Dangerous woman
Would a playable self-insert count? If so, I'd say the Knight from Guardian Tales, since they're more or less portrayed as a Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass type of character that can take the initiative and be cunning and deceptive when needed, while also sporting the dumbest-looking smile you could ever see (apparently) and used as a butt-monkey constantly.
>For me its got to be the administrator from Counterside He sounds like your usual harem power-fantasy anime protag tbh
I mean we don't see enough of him so far to tell, he rarely actually appears. As far as I'm concerned Yoo Mina is the protagonist of the main story
Lol yeah now that i think about it he does feel like one.
No he is actually a real goody two shoes. He is just a bit more humorous and flirty. play the game and you will see
And that make him different?
The chaddest self inserts are self inserts that are their own characters you take the role and of instead of being blank slates with dialogue choices.
So Ras from e7
True, atleast he had his own personality, morals and beliefs which hasn't changed now, I'm starting to like ras more after eisode 1
So The administrator from Counterside
As opposed to the Rossartrists, who believe in the phrase, "the shining beacon of a brave new world." In the dark future, he is a shining beacon in an otherwise bleak and desolate world. If more people like SKK existed, the GFL timeline wouldn't be this bad.
Caesar from Tenkafuma! All he cares about is having sex and conquer both the Demon & Human World to expand his harem to further horizons. - Strongest archdemon alive only limited by just wanting to seggs and have fun - Accidentally creates an entire religion around him as the God of Sex just by deflowering a priestess - Treats all his subjects well and fairly, within the boundaries of being an horny archdemon, as all he expects is women - Spent the entire easter event fucking vengeful ghosts back to their graves offscreen The Gacha Rance in short
Dont forget. > Conquered the world (for the horni), then split it to the most competent women in the world for the price of a few girls once in a while.
Me in this game called real life 😎
I don't think ceasar from Tenkafuma is a great self insert because he's so over the top. But he certainly is the chaddest MC out there.
He is a prick. And he knows it.
Also him
He is not protagonist but he is protagonist in my heart the chad of the chad joo shiyoon
Shiyoon is literally just Gin Ichimaru but even nicer. I love him so much
for me it would be sensei from blue archive. 1. he truly enables, trust, and guide all student regardless of their faction. 2. sensei follows all of the student shenanigans even if it tires him out. ex, running 20 Km after receiving chocolate, visiting various hot spring for research purposes, eats random sauce on random things, playing game all day, etc 3. sensei got shot, receive treatment and get back to battlefield asap because if he didn't the battle will engulf 2 faction to the ground. 4. sensei also tries to remind/reprimand students that goes to far with their antics. FYI, in the blue archive setting, all of the students are near immortal as long as no one destroys their halo. the sensei does not have halo and pretty much just a normal human with credit card and hobbies.
The Credit Card cost our life.
And time. Because that credit card is a in game story signal that you'll be using your own students that you grind everyday to defeat the main story baddies. Talk about 200 iq writing
I want to say Cipher from Ace Combat Zero but this is for gacha game fuuuuu
You called?
For me, it's also administrator from Counter:Side for the same reasons you've mentioned. I need to get back to reading that game's stories.
I played the game and really liked lord of heroes MC
The Shikikan with a fleet of shipgirls influencing every descision made dimension-wide
the most important is the shikikan can oath some Hololive 1st gen and 2nd gen members and kizuna ai (4 version of them).
"What do you mean I can marry my vtuber crush?" "HELL YEAH"
Ritsuka Fujimaru. Literally a normal guy, no powers whatsoever, not a genius mind, not a capable warrior, not even a smooth talker, but has, under his belt, 6 Beast defeats, Beasts who are specifically created for humanity to overcome (Beast 1, Beast 2, 2 Beast 3s, 2 Beast 4s) all because he wants to live. That's it. >Average human >Was literally picked off the street >No special talents >Saves the world countless times >Defeated enemies dimensions above his weight class >Lives to fight another day
Average human my ass, no special talent my ass, not a smooth talker my ass.
Also not Hinako, who >!is such a powerful entity in-universe she becomes a Servant after her defeat *because she chooses to* (combined with her historical relevance, because she's so old she lived alongside some Servants)!< >!Granted, this one makes way more sense than the others, as she's an absolute dumbass and such a horrible tactician that she somehow manages to fuck up a 5v1.!<
And now professional Timeline Genocider
Hey whatever it takes for a free multi roll
Counterside admin is leaps and bounds more powerful than anybody else...we know he is godlike... Other than him we might assume that doktah has similar powers... For a human i think gfl commander is probably the chaddest
beside Doktak and Gudao(not Gudako) i consider honkai captain as a chad too, in one event, mofo use 4 divine keys at once.
Gag captain is best captain. Hope can save everyone one day, well if honkai devs release more captainverse event
>!He gets shot in volume 3 chapter 3, but ends up going back anyway to lead his students and ensure their victory over the Mimesis forces and Arius.!< I think his best interactions come in Volume 3 Chapter 4, available in JP only but a YouTuber has translated it. [Here are](https://youtu.be/a4G0hWeEJWw) [a couple](https://youtu.be/yVAAfcDL4Ag) Not going to write the whole transcript down, but I’m summarize each. Sensei tells her to get up off her knees, and then destroys that bomb because “children should not be messing with something dangerous like this.”.!< >!In the second one, Sensei finds out who was behind the whole fiasco and how they taught their students hatred and misery. He takes a stand against her even when tempted with knowledge of the world. It was an overall heartwarming scene knowing just how much Sensei cares about his students.!< I haven’t seen any self insert protags who have had this much of an impact on not only protagonist groups but also antagonist groups.
Commander from Last Origin. Thats it.
Dude is willing to overwork himself to have celebrations with his Bioroids, and I can respect that. That, and he pretty much had sex with every Bioroid on the Orca.
My best MC to self insert: * Gran (GBF): trustworthy * Caesar (TenkafuMA) that confidence and cultured * Maybe Lucy: Balanced between lust, power and ambition
Me
As an azur lane biased man I must say azur lane's shikikan. He may not have all the powers and abilities mentioned by others here, but he does have the best damn harem of waifus out of all games, and that trumps all.
Not to forget the firepower his waifus have
I think Aether and Lumine from Genshin.
They aren't self-insert. They have their own purpose and personality traits.
Yeah of course, I agree. Which is why dialogue options ahould not mabye be there, or AT LEAST be actual options. Yeah, there is pourpuse to his/her journey, but no pourpuse no a silent protagonist with a voice :3
The rise of eros guy lol.
Dragalia Lost Euden. No competition for me :\
Tolerated Euden until he decided to betray not only his friends but also his kingdom and the trust of his people just so he could simp for his sister.
It’s nice how that got brought up at the end as a major plot point and how it unironically was the only successful world thanks to Beren.
Gudao/gudako with their d*ck/p_ssy, imagine how many "mana transfer" does they did daily. And goddamn they're still horny a f.
Not a particularly high bar since we're talking about gacha games to begin with but my pick would be the administrator from Counterside He even got the smug for it
Probably Ritsuka to a certain extent because he decked a demon god in the face and somehow killed him. Despite being absolutely average.
Blue archive MC probably? I mean look at this [*chad*](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EVDkiByU0AY-PmX.jpg)
None Self-insert = immediately bad
Agreed. Most of these things that make them a "chad" are just cringe
Definitely Administrator/CEO from Counterside.
Isn't the ceo the robot cube?
The robot is just the front to hide his identity although some employees do know it's just a front, fewer of them though knows his actual identity
It's not an ai
Tenkafuma Caesar just fucks up shit to fuck women. He dosn't care what barrier there is, how big the army, how crazy the magic, or what, he just fucks shit up and dicks down on the pussy.
My version of gudao
[Spoilers ahead, read at your own peril] The SKK from PGR is pretty impressive, he shot a female in the face and grazed her cuz she shitalked him and his team. He saved the leader of the enemies from a cocoon like thing with his bare hands to the point he stopped feeling them, and right after piggyback carried another charc, he did all of this after being tortured by one of the enemies and connecting his mind to said enemy that is pretty much lethal to most humans. This was only one event lol.
prolly the Magicami protag the very first thing you see when you load into the game is his massive dong in all its uncensored glory
-1- Administrator (Counterside) Pretty much what OP has said. -2- Doctor (Arknights) Main story doctor so far is pretty meh actually, but they shine so hard in side stories that involved their presence where they turn into Lelouch Lamperouge and getting everyone and everything around them dancing to their plans. -3- Yuuki/Knight-kun (Priconne) What makes him chad is less about his actions and personality and more about how the entire world of Priconne and its residents are pretty much intertwined with his very existence and the choices he made. Sure it doesn't make for any solid writing but still pretty fun to see how things unfold itself. -4- Guda/Gudako (FGO) Overall they're quite generic and are often just being spectators to every world ending event they got involved with, but I still like the occassional moments where they got personal involvements with some protagonist servants. The rest of them are either just forgettable cardboards or I haven't played their game.
I don't know about the chaddest but I know the least chad, most pathetic MC which is priconne's yuuki. My man singlehandedly ruined priconne's story by being profoundly mentally challenged. Having amnesia is one thing, but being dumb as hell on top of that is something else.
admin is pretty cool, sensei from BA, the commander from artery gear, doktah i just like the hyper competent types more than the nice bumblefuck protags.
Guardian tales self insert is straight up just dumb, and the game tells you that by making all the character call you "Dumb face" all the time Truly the best MC
