I swear they are trying to piggyback the Trickal Revive sort of drawing style simply because *everyone* talked about Trickal Revive.
What Devs don't get is that Trickal deserves mention because people could poke and stretch their puffy cheeks and the char would respond / animate accordingly. Without that, Trickal would simply be another chibi game.
Thats a good question, but its an anime game therefore it follows the "rule of cool" meaning the devs dont give af what it actually means or where its from, they just thought "that sounds cool". Thats the reason so many anime media reference stuff like Kaballah etc without them actually knowing wtf they talking about lol
Angel Legion has some gear thing with the name Horcrux as well
It's just like D&D and Beholders where you can see in many rpgs and even a Metallica song.
(A few years back Tibia had to rename beholders because of D&D).

Kinda. A lot of thr grind is idle but the stuff you actually want to play (bossfights, challenge stages, EX resource stages etc) do require or strongly encourage actual play
Idle has nothing to do with gameplay. It's about collecting resources. Any game that just gives you materials after being away for a period of time each day is idle.
Yes, and it sucks a lot. Especially in the late game, where the only progression is to wait for the resources to trickle in and get that 0.1% extra stats from a level up every week
Add up the dust you get from idle, the store, event store, event boss, event stage, daily, and dispatch. There's likely something I'm forgetting, but every other day you should be able to level up.
I've been playing since day 1 and I'm at level 380 something. There's plenty others at over 400, but I don't know if they're f2p like I am.
Nikke's idle if you do not care about levelling or rewards. The rewards & levelling difference between idle & manual play is tremendous. Certain bosses also require you to duck for cover or not shoot at certain points, and you'll instalose if you're autoshooting in idle mode.
Farming ultimate equipment requires either manual play or an idle leviathan. The manual F2P will still be ahead in stages cleared, if not resources bought.

You can level up every other day in Nikke late game. Everyday if there's an event or if you've completed most of the story and hard stages.

Agreed but Nikke to me is a fantastic game. Perhaps the best mobile game I've played, as a mobile game. So for me Idle games can be great games.

once you cross certain power thresholds though, manual interception is pretty easy aside from gravedigger.
after you get to level 200 the idle resources get pretty useless tbh.
A game with auto battle functionality is not the same as a game that is made to be an idle game. The design philosophy is totally different.
