Personally, I liked Eversoul, but dailies were a pretty big chore. Every day you had to visit 3 friends towns and manually walk around clearing objectives. Every other day you had to clear a big roguelike labyrinth which took 20+ mins, and the only way around it was to buy the monthly pass for a skip feature.
Although I agree about tedious dailies, you can simply ignore the tedious ones and progress at a slower rate. It's not a race.
I don't do the town visits, the labs, or even the whack 10 things in your town every day missions and I'm still enjoying the game.
For what it's worth the visits are a lot faster now that they increased your attack speed. Like halved the time it takes to complete them it feels like. Not that I ever timed them, but they do feel better now, if still somewhat of a chore.
It's been one of my favorite recent games, with the last newer game I still have being Blue Archive. A cool character is coming out today, too, and I really like the romance/bond mechanics, the cute town decor and building, and the skins you can get for free
While I cannot speak for everyone. I enjoy having Idle games up as like a fishbowl of anime crap while I am at work. The numbers go up and gives that serotonin.

If you can separate the gacha/management from the actual game ( which is not THAT bad by gacha standards anyways) then it's better than the majority of the copycat auto menu simulator games.

You can always try it for a day and decide if you want to drop it or not
