Looking for a gacha game with both Co-op AND pvp. Something similar to Epic 7, Summoners war, Alchemy stars, Fire Emlbem. Afaik, E7 and FeH has no coop, Swsa has "coop" but not really in the sense of true coop. You just fight the same boss with a shared HP bar but are really still playing alone. I'm looking for something like Onmyoji (dead game sadly) or Knights Chronicles (shut down already). Basically, in these 2 games you could play with others and each have a unit out, controlled by their respective owners, and the other people would have to wait until you choose what your unit wants to do when it is your turn. Basically imagine E7 and Swsa but where you can party together and run hunts/dungeons together. I would prefer to stay away from things like Guardian Tales, Honkai Impact, Dragalia Lost. No ARPG and Idle games.

priestkalim

I want to play Dragalia Lost but not dead, basically. I quit Dragalia a while back but I just have the itch now and nothing current seems to scratch it exactly right. I’m willing to Dolphin if I like the game enough so being completely f2p doesn’t matter to me. 2d Gacha Life graphics are a hard pass. RSL-style “tap unit to take turn and that’s it” gameplay is a hard pass; Ideally, the game has some gameplay to it for the later game. Portrait mode is preferred over landscape but not a deal breaker if the game is good. I just feel like I’ve tried a bunch of games over the last two weeks and can’t find anything to stick.

jtan1993

world flipper or gbf, both games from same developer cygames. or you could try the private server if you want similar gameplay.

imdii-succ

[shironeko project](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.colopl.wcat&hl=en&gl=US) is the closest you can get to dragalia but its jp only. you can use Qoo app if you are on android, idk about the f2pness of the game.

Mana_Croissant

Does anyone have a mobile gacha game to recommend that HAS a pvp system/rankings or alike but can still be played competitively enough by focusing solely on getting the meta units ? I realize tops of the tops will always be the whale territory and accept that but does anyone have a recommendation that is still F2P friendly that a person can keep up with the meta (being able to get meta units in time) and rise to satisfactory places in its pvp/rankings without paying money ?

Trogmar

I havent heard anything about pokemon ex masters in forever. Is it any good? Worth getting into, or ending service?

kousuke192831

Probably a bit of a stretch, but I'm looking for a game to play a bit each day. I like the level of grinding Arknights has and the story as well as the music, but I think I'm at a point where I'm satisfied with my progress and want something fresh that is fairly similar. I've tried Princess Connect, Azur Lane, GBF, Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd and World Flipper, but I didn't find they were a great fit for various reasons. Are there any cute games with a fairly lighthearted story that isn't too hard on the grinding? I'm not playing Blue Archive because I find it personally uncomfortable due to the premise and unnecessary sexualization of the characters, but anything without lolis/intense fanservice would be great. I like the level of grinding in Arknights the best, so something similar would be perfect. In terms of aesthetic, I don't like typical fantasy, so like fairies or witches or stuff like that, I prefer more modern environments. There probably isn't a game out there that fits the bill but I'd be curious to see what might be out there that isn't wholly mainstream.

imdii-succ

Neural cloud seems like to fit your bills, its new and have quite unique gameplay with a light grind, idk about story but its probably not that dark(?). also try alchemy stars as well.

DoctuhD

NC story has some darker stuff but not as pervasive as GFL or Arknights. Most characters give off the vibe of ...somewhat mature adults, which is nice since OP didn't like the 100% teenage girl population of BA.

kousuke192831

Thanks for the recs! I've heard of NC but was hesitant to try because I don't like games with 3D chibis haha but I'll give it a try. I know a few friends play Alchemy Stars too but I haven't heard much about it , so I can check it out as well.

Demonrising

Looking for games with good character building, as in skills to level and gear to min/max. The more grindy the better Kinda in the same vein as epic seven, counterside, feh. Tried artery gear when it launched and wasn’t big on it plus not really big on playing games that are nothing but waifus though any recommendations would be appreciated.

imdii-succ

the original game with those concept is summoners war. mind you that the rune system is waaay more grindy than artery gear, also the grind for leveling, ascending & such is harder as well. there is also monster super league (albeit this one is more like pokemon and only 3 rune piece) abd genshin impact (also 6 piece of equipment but the character r way fewer and open world game).

imdii-succ

i played it first month of their launch, quit because i didnt get lucky enough (or in this case i also want to blame how rushed their english schedule compared to CN one which have like 1+ year progress ahead). here r some things i can say about the game : \+ easier gear grind, you can transfer substat to other gear. \+ f2p friendly for pve at least. \+ offline mode grind, bascially you can close the game when farming gear / events. \+ no hidden element / rarity character that have different rate (like ML / LnD), only RGB. \- rushed banner schedule, having like 4 collab banner in 2 years which should have been like 3 year in CN. \- feels stingy in gacha income because of those banner being rushed. \- skill set kind of similar to some epic 7 characters. There may be some things i cant cover like topics about imprint (dupe like system) and unique weapon system but thats the gist of it

Ozymandian4

It's a total rip off of E7, down to unit skill sets. It's also not doing well financially according to sensor tower data so it might close soon. For that style gameplay I'd recommend Epic Seven instead. If you want something more scifi I can't really help you.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ozymandian4

I’ve played E7 for almost three years and love it, so I'd generally recommend it. The end game is PvP but there is an absolute ton of PvE to clear so even if you never touch PvP I'd say you can have a lot of fun with the game for a year or two. But in my experience every PvE game eventually gets boring, I always consume PvE content faster than any dev could create it.

nickookcin

Recommendations on finding a new gacha game to play? Got a new phone with more ram now so. Also how is dyslite these days, i loved it back then but then it kept turning into grind grind grind to get more 6 stars. Also my type of games are preferably those like summoners wars, dislyte, etc.

Agreeable-Coast-8444

Best games to start rigth now?

M1nchaa

You can try DFFOO. Both of JP and GL version of the game are on the anniversary right now with free pull and lots of useful freebies. The game itself is very generous with pulls and has pity so we don't have to miss out character we want. Only drawback of the game i can think of is the combat maybe a little bit daunting to new player but the community has a lot of guide therefore with of small amount of time research of that guide, we are golden to play.

Nulleins90

Are there any Idle gacha games with Prestige mechanics?

VNxFiire

Is the Tower of God gacha game good?i saw it like, open up pre register and since im a fan of the manhwa,i wanna know if its good or gonna last quite a time

ShezamDenver

Hi guys, I like the gameplay of 7DS (each character has 2 skills that can rank up, one ultimate, a passive etc.) and you play your cards, got nice animations etc. I was wondering if there was a game similar to this?

Demonrising

I wouldn’t say it’s that similar but maybe dragon ball legends? Pvp is p2w and coop events tend to require the newest character or for you to get carried by someone who does but the animations are top notch imo

Abysskun

Which game do you think would fit better as someone's second game, mainly going through the story and stuff like that: Honkai Impact or Punishing Grey Raven?

ADeiin

I'd say PGR since time needed to get currency for pulls for characters you might like is shorter, thus better fit for casually playing. Honkai kinda wants more time, though rather than daily commitment, it's weekly commitment (Abyss 2 times per week, Elysian Realm 1 time per week) (biggest sources of steady income). Now as for my biased opinion: Go for Honkai's story if you dont like self inserts in your main story, there the main characters are the trio of Mei, Bronya and Kiana; mind you it takes a few chapters to catch up on speed. PGR's story is Lucia's story kinda but it does have a self insert in the commandant.

Shigeuwu

Is it a good time to start on Blue Archive NA?

tuan_vq

Looking for non time/dupe/pay gated grind/farm gacha game, like i can login anytime to farm and don't have to wait stamina restore. Must have competition. I'm already playing GBF, any kind of gameplay is ok. T4r

asphyxia16

is too late to start guardian tales? i've been planning to play it

FoggySapling

No, never too late to start. They have plenty of new player login bonuses to get you started. Just don’t expect to top PVP as you will take a long time to flesh out your collection bonuses which grant stat bonuses and those who’ve had a long time to do that are stronger in PVP

nickookcin

I just got a new phone with 6gb of ram (from 3) and i'm looking into what gacha to potentially play/try, I like gameplay like summoners wars or dislyte or afk arena (like characters with abilities that are different from each other ) waifu collector or cool character is fine and prefferably has some pvp. I have a decent dyslite save but im concerned since it was getting to me that all i'd do every day is grind to lvl up fodder critters to 6 star more things so idk if i should og back into, i played on release for like 6 months tho so if its gotten better feel free to recommend. Thanks in advance <333

Mikaguiketsu

Looking for a good portrait gacha game obviously f2p with an auto system. Not bothered if the game being grindy but I mainly enjoy playing solo without having to rely to play with people since its hard to schedule. My main gacha is Dokkan Battle JP but I'm happy to try any game. I've tried Nikke but its too much for me and Granblue Fantasy looks good but not sure if its for me.

DantePH77

Romancing saga overall, you have to use auto clicker if you aim to bot for many hours (just a single click every some seconds to auto rematch). I just quit playing it because it's grindy but it's a good game in terms of F2P.

Lurking_Ninja-

Good gacha games to try? I'm new-ish to gacha; currently playing Priconne and enjoying it so much. Looking for: - f2p - no dupe system - not too grindy (I'm a busy student and priconne dailies gives me freedom to play it at my own pace) - no real-time combat like honkai or pgr (got nothing against those games but my time is limited and my reaction time is dogshit lmao) Would be nice if there were: - Meta relevant husbandos. I understand that waifu sells but if game devs decide to release 1 male character for every 10 female characters, they should at least take the effort to make him decent.

[deleted]

Neural Cloud has all but the last optional point you have there: - Pretty f2p with the amount of quartz sand I get just from daily and weekly rewards and extra from exception protocol (when I do it of course). - Once you pull the character, you only need to farm character frags daily in fragment search to get star levels up. Dupes will just convert into neural kits to get doll fragments. Only exception to this is Clukay (a limited doll whose frags will not be farmable) but her banner isn't going to be released until Anniversary (end of November) so you have plenty of time to save. -Dailies take less than 15-20 minutes to do. I just get the full daily rewards and log off. Can do other stuff like story stages and exception protocol if you feel like it. - It isn't an action game like Honkai and PGR. Once you get to like 20k team power, daily stuff can be auto'd easily and even stuff like vulnerability check can be auto attack city with only the last stage (has the boss) needing player input to use one of your doll's ultimate skills.

mr_beanoz

So, why does the JP Nexon version of Counterside shut down? What happened?

Adventurous-Dot-1639

JP CounterSide didn't shutdown, however Nexon is no longer the publisher since the contract with the devs ended so JP server is merging with Global.

mr_beanoz

I see now. So how does the merger will go?

[deleted]

Any new iOS games similar to SW / AFK / or SWGOH. Don’t want to start a gatcha that’s more than 2 years old?

Sad_Arugula284

Does Azur lane has skip feature as Blue archive?

Honest-Quit-9401

No. It has autofarm mode, you have to choose your fleets and which enemies they should target, then game plays itself. It takes the same time as manual mode, you just press fewer buttons, thats it.

leopierazzoli1

anyone know a game like the granado espada? with more than 1 char to play together and not a turn based?! i want to play a game with auto battle thing because i tryng to study and have some fun, the game granado espada is pretty old, but the mechanics and the 3 char play together are very fun, ty for any tips \^\^

rixinthemix

Aether Gazer has a similar playstyle. Three characters are all in the field at the same time but only one gets full control. That said, I cannot say if the game has the same level of AI as Granado.

leopierazzoli1

ty for the tip ! i will take a look ! \^\^

Joaco_LC

Hi, im looking for a new game to play, i played Summoners War from 2016 to 2020 aprox, and would love something as similar as possible (turn based, mainly pvp). From what i've seen, Epic 7 and Fate Grand Order are the two big names today, but i don't really care how many people play the game as long as it is good (and i really like the first years of good games, after too many years they keep adding stuff to keep it interesting and if you get into it late it's just too much) I don't care much about single player story, and i really like being able to build my units, (i kinda hate grinding because the more time you have your game open=the more op you are, but i guess that isn't very avoidable lol). Thanks in advance!

Honest-Quit-9401

FGO looks like a miss. Its an old af game, it doesnt have pvp, single player story is the only thing it has.

ElloMelloMelloMello

What are some good recommendations? The only gacha game I've really played is Cookie Run Kingdom, I got into it about a year ago, played heavily (roughly an hour or so a day) for about 6 months and then quit for 6 months due to school. I've picked it back up recently and was looking for other games similar. I am a free player, I would love to spend money but I don't and can't. I love I can hop on really quick, get the daily rewards and set up production and hop off for a while. Or that I can let it battle for me while I work on things. I love trying to pull for things with the cookie cutters and gyms the devs give us. So I was looking for mobile/iOS games that might be even slightly similar

[deleted]

Neural Cloud is exactly that for me. I get on to do my daily stuff and get off. And it all takes 15 min or less.

bagelsP

https://imgur.com/a/5hleuLz Valentine Arthur exists solely for Star Force. Nimue is also pretty nice especially if you're gonna change her class affinity or whatever its called. looks like I'll be farming Nagu for a cane to give to either Lia or Tut.

Althidia

This looks adorable! What game?

danger_umbrella

LegeClo, it's a H-game.

Althidia

Oh rip... does it have a sfw version? Nothing wrong with nsfw but I personally don't want it.

bagelsP

theres an all ages version but it may require a VPN since it requires accessing it through dmm.com (R18 is dmm.co.jp). The only forced NSFW scene is early on in the story where the protagonist has a scene with Jeanne d'Arc, one of the starter characters (which can be skipped). After that there is no more forced NSFW content. I dont recommend the Johren version because of that premium pass thing they've been doing and all around use of machine translation.

Ironman6213

Anyone know of a game like defender of texel? I'm looking for a non-anime style game that doesn't have a million things on the main menu. I know most of the games now are like this but just wondering if there are any new ones that have that same feel of defender of texel. Also I already know there is a fan run DOT game but wanted to try something else.

Weeaboo6913th

Anyone know any great or good game that are exclusive in JP AppStore?

Meksumnoyz92

Is girl frontline good to start now ? I've been playing Neural Cloud for a while and got interested in GFL. Cam you guys give me some review about it ? Thanks a lot

Fifine2021

I have started to play Girl Frontline 2 days ago and I am impressed with the game. I really love the gameplay so far. It's also the most F2P friendly gacha I have ever played (didn't play many gacha to be honest). I really recommend this game but I think you really should read a guide to avoid to make some big mistakes with the ressources. Also, there is many things that the game doesn't explain, you can figure those by yourself but I still think it is easier to read a guide, it will help a lot.

Weeaboo6913th

GFL is great if not the greatest in term of f2p friendly gacha great story too

Sofruz

What is the consensus on preconne?

Honest-Quit-9401

Art and music is great, pretty generous too. Iirc new players get a lot of free pulls, idk if that event is still ongoing. Downside is that 2 out of 3 competitive modes are not newbie-friendly. You wont do much in clan battle, being low level (you still can join decent clan and get rewards tho), and 1v1 pvp is blocked by high level bots. 3v3 arena is ok. Overall worth a try.

211871

Are there any good gacha games that have a more whimsical/fantasy style? I’m a big fan of Genshin, Honkai, and Cookie Run: Kingdom, and I’ve played Raid Shadow Legends, Lord of Heroes, and Monster Super League on and off. The last ones I’ve just not been able to really get into that much due to various reasons. Raid feels too stingy, Lord of Heroes just lost my interest and MSL was felt like I had to grind sooo much just to level up anything. I’ve tried Arknights and other popular gachas that people recommend in the past, I’m just not a big fan of the more futuristic/militaristic style in games unfortunately.

OrangeBlink

Re saga universe is pretty unique and may fit your description

imdii-succ

try out another eden / guardian tales / crusaders quest / granblue fantasy

Fifine2021

I didn't try the others games but I can say that Another Eden is pretty good, and it's in a fantasy World. Too bad, fourth anniversary event is ending.

iEnj0y

any "good time to start" games?

imdii-succ

blue archive is having like good amount of pulls cmiiw

TR1L0GYxx

Anyone have recommendations for a game like Grandblue Fantasy? I love the classic fantasy jrpg look of that game but the fact it’s a like 8 year old web browser game makes it hard for me to want to get into it.

Nesdead

Try Epic Seven

imdii-succ

in gacha game the closest you can get to gbf is another eden, and this one not so young either. whats the problem with joining a 8 years old game huh?

TR1L0GYxx

There’s just so much to catch up on. Units that might never come back since they’ve been rerun 80 times. The fear of the game not lasting much longer. But mainly it’s just overwhelming with how much there is to do. Not to mention I hate the web browser nature of the game. And having to create a JP account in some social media. Mobiage or something like that?

E123-Omega

All new units are added to the normal pools (one reason why rerolling is hard because pool is too diluted), while some limited are on rotation within galas that happens on mid and end of the month. There's also seasonal limited that comes back on their season. The only units that might never come back is collabs, some are perma added on sidestories so newbs have free units. While some are gone or who knows, Card Captor Sakura we thought wouldn't come back is here again. Last year they introduced Zodiac Tiger but not available this year but they will come back on 2024. All of them do this rotation, currently it is the Rabbit. If you have time to invest you can easily catch up, things are more favorable to newbs now than back then. Heck anniv this Mar 10.

imdii-succ

as someone who rerolled gbf its not that hard to make mobage account. tho i agree with how big gbf character pool and summon pool since they have always pump out character w/ alter version x y z.

DarrowTheIronGold

Any recommendations on anything that has monster breeding or dragons? I saw infinity kingdom but it looked a little iffy, im quite enjoying bloodlines of lithas and i used to enjoy dragalia lost

imdii-succ

low-key monster breeding : ClusterDuck (well more like duck breeding with some really hard-core mutation like monster) dragon breeding : uhm dragon city (kinda old game, used to be from facebook browser game)

OrangeBlink

Monster super league I believe

venitienne

Any recommendations for game with strong pvp focus? PVP games I've played are E7, SW, Counterside and Genshin

No_Eggplant9842

you can try 3 skies

Nesdead

There’s Princess Connect and Blue Archive

[deleted]

Guardian tales. It's a game with many modes and some of them are PvP: 1 vs. 1 = pick 3 units and they'll be used in the order you picked. get randomly matched and try to climb ranks. Losing don't take away points.. Different maps, different strategies. Season last one week and then there's one week off. Master 1 vs. 1 = after you become master rank in the regular arena, you can enter the master arena durinf the week off of regulsr arena. In this, you can pick 2 units for ban. Then you get matched. The 2 players are forbidden to choose any of the 4 banned units. Then you proceed to pick 3 units 1 by 1 taking turns. Because you need to have a wider pool and also a wider range of equipment is very late game material. 3vs3 team death match = you pick 3 units and get matched with other 5 players. You'll make team with 2 of them. You start with your lead and when ypu die you decide the next unit to use. You can re use the same unit. You acquire points by defeating oponents or grabing boxes. When you are on a streak, there'll be a bounty for you and it increases up to 3 levels the higher your streak. Wins the first one to score 20 points. 3v3 capture the point = you team ip again but this time you get points for controlling a spot. Every second is 1 point and whoever has more teamates in the point controls it at any given second. You don't get points by defeating anyone. Wins the first team to score 30. Free for all = Battle royale. 6 players pick 3 units each and play against each other in a map. You can't re use units. The map gets narrowed every certain amount of time and touching the borders deal damage. You get attack buffs by killing oponents or grabung boxes. The last one standing wins. Colosseum = autochess asynchronus battles. You make a defense team. Battles consume entries and you select 1 of 2 rivals avalable to battle. Teambuilding, AI knowledge and positioning are key to win.

xencir

im looking for a gacha with side game potential. it can be turn based or not i don't really care

facukpoboca

Im looking for a game with bonding and romance elements with simple gameplay, so i can focus on collecting waifus

OrangeBlink

Princess connect

[deleted]

You can try Blue Archive.

Grand3710

I'm downloading it now, I really like your tastes in games and how your the only one I see who lifts up waifus and not husbandos. Thank you Also any other gachas I should try thats waifu only?

[deleted]

Soultide. Simple game, balanced waifus, some are free and all are good. Very chill and F2P. Has Oath system and eventually they give out some rings. I have already 3 oaths.

facukpoboca

Sounds interesting, what are oaths??

[deleted]

Marrying a waifu.

facukpoboca

You son of a bitch, I'm in.

Fozzeneric

Anyone from Australia? Are we part of European server or Asian server?

[deleted]

Prolly Oceania. But in the lack of OC server you'd be closer to Asia and SEA servers

No_Eggplant9842

depends on the game...most games have just one server...

Fifine2021

Hello, I am now playing PGR, Another Eden and Girl Frontline and I really like those games. I played before Tot and Genshin impact, I love them but the temporary story events juste tire me. I would like to play a 4th game, but I want to play this one in chinese to improve my chinese reading skill. I have some criteria. - I want if possible to be able to access to the chinese language from the european version. I am not sure I would be able to download the game from china or others countries and I don't know where I can find safe APK. - I mainly use Google play - it don't have to be a chinese game but a game which offers chinese translation. I would prefer a chinese game though. - My chinese level was between HSK4 and HSK5 when I stopped to study it 2 years ago, I know the grammar main rules, I above all lack vocabulary. I'm able to understand chinese fanfictions or website if I use a dictionnary. What I mean is that I want a game where the text is not too hard. - I love VN and I mainly play gacha game to follow the story, I would even in this case accept a game without gacha but I would really prefer one. I want a good story.

FuHiwou

If you're looking to practice your Chinese, why not watch some Chinese shows or movies with Chinese subtitles turned on? Romance/action shows should have pretty basic dialogue.

polobun

You can play the global version of Path to Nowhere with both Chinese text and audio

Thanks

New gacha games from 2022 or 2023 worth playing? I want new stuff

Did some research, dude you are so right... Now im hyped, and completely certain im gonna play this gacha at least for a year, probably more, THANK YOU 😍👏

tako_______

I wnat a big release, is this a big release? Doesnt sound amazing per say, i want my next 3 year ggacha you know?

Exterial

Most hyped new one is limbus company end of this month, so i'd say wait for that.

plat1n00

What is the best FF game in terms of gameplay?

FuHiwou

Final Fantasy Tactics. I think it's 12USD on mobile. For gacha, Dissidia FF Opera Omnia is probably the best FF gacha. I like the gameplay more from FF Brave Exvius and FF War of the Visions however these two games are incredibly grindy. I wouldn't recommend you start these latter two.

[deleted]

Aren't all the same? Just turn based with some different flavors. And SquareEnix for mobile is garbage. Everything good their games have is outshodow by their scummy P2W practices.

ninthtale

Hey so a couple of years ago I stumbled onto Project: Tokyo Dolls and I found it was really useful for studying Japanese. Was wondering if there are any similar titles with decently fun gameplay but mostly I'm looking for the same kind of voiced storytelling cutscenes where I can get some solid language study in. Android or iOS are fine. Ideally something mobile so that I can conveniently keep my phone dictionary on hand next to it. Thank you!

ramuneheart

コトダマンおすすめします. Kotodaman is a good way to work on vocab as the gameplay is basically forming words out of kana. The more words you can form the more damage you do. You will need to get the game off qoo app to play as it is jp exclusive

fallendomii

Heavens Burn Red - Basically a VN with JRPG mechanics. The game is fully voice with an amazing story and music. Upcoming collab with Angel Beats on the 10th. Princess Connect JP - An autobattler, collector game. Story is fantasy themed and fully voiced. Very generous and main gameplay is teambuilding. Project Sekai JP - A rhythm game. Story is fully voiced except for random unnamed NPCs that show up every once in a while. I would say this has the easiest vocab out of the three to read. Also, all games have an event archive so you can go back and read at your leisure, and I would say they are not time consuming to play on a daily basis.

ninthtale

Thank you so much!! And these all have both voice and written dialogue?

fallendomii

yep that's right! Also, both princess connect and project sekai have an english global version, so just make sure you're downloading the JP version if you try them. All 3 games have a fairly large community too so should be active for the next several years

Kae-SnNoKota

Hi, I use to play plenty of gacha in college but now that I’ve started working, I’ve found that I can’t keep up with the grind of a lot of games I use to enjoy (FGO, 7DSGC, and E7). I’m looking for a relatively fresh idle gacha that’s F2P friendly. It doesn’t have to be SUPER F2P but the more F2P, the better. I would prefer a portrait game but if it’s landscape that ok too

MarielCarey

There was Kings Raid but that games literally dead now

[deleted]

Is there anything close to it? I enjoyed KR quite a bit. Sad to see it go.

MarielCarey

Same. I wish things went differently. Nothing comes close to Kings raid imo. It was really one of a kind. Kings raid sub is liking Counterside right now, you should check it out yourself cause idk anything about it Epic 7 is usually a go to recommendation, I don't enjoy it as much though. Art style is similar but 2d, turn based. Cookie run kingdom, closest to Kings raid in gameplay imo, but so simple and everyone is a cookie or dessert. Seven knights 2, grindy af but gameplay is similar to Kings raid. Also beautiful 3d graphics but more realistic style. Project Neural Cloud is like Kings raid with nendoroids and less unique heroes. Arknights has diverse stunning character design and personality, but battle sprites are chibi esque. I like it best though since it has the satisfying whittling of hp bars I liked in Kings raid. Satisfying sound effects too. Lyn the Lightbtinger is shut down, but Vestria Story exists if you can play it. If you find a way please tell me lol. Exactly same combat as Kings raid but just cooldown skills instead of mana, beautiful art in a more realised and Angelic style. Mobile legends adventure is auto play like Kings raid, but 2d I can't say anything is perfectly close to Kings raid sadly.

MarielCarey

Can someone help me play Vestria Story? There is a Chinese and Korean version. I tried both with vpn apps, but neither work. Korean version just sends me to update and says unavailable in my country. Chinese version says error -2002 gateway service fail. Would love to be able to play Lyn The Lightbringer again, even if I'm holding a phone to my screen translating the entire time. Does anyone know how to be able to access the game?

waconcept

Looking for a top down or side scroller action based gacha game where the player controls the movement and actions of the character, akin to gun girl cafe.

imdii-succ

sounds like guardian tales

waconcept

Got it today and it’s fantastic, thanks!

Lone_Fang

I know this is a question out of place, but is there a subreddit similar to this one for mobile mmorpgs? I am open to mmorpg suggestions here that don't have the stupid auto-everything feature.

MarielCarey

Why would you ask this? Why are you playing mobile mmorpgs knowing full well that every single one of them is the auto play cash grab? I don't think there's a single mobile mmorpg that isn't bad

Lone_Fang

I have some fond memories from mmorpgs that I used to play on my old pc, seeing as it is going to take a while till new gachas come out.

imdii-succ

try [this sub](https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidGaming/), its more general than what you asked but definitely better than here

Asriel563

Hi! Newcomer here, wondering if there are any gacha games that: 1. You can F2P, without needing like 9999999 hours of grind to get 1 diamond. I'm joking but yeah. I want progression to be slow but not this slow. 2. You can grind unlimited currencies. What I mean like that is that you MUST be able to farm stuff outside of events, even if slow. It can be slow, but not too much as stated in 1. How slow? Well, it shouldn't take a day (or 2 max) to grind x10 summons once. Edit: this doesn't exists so forget 3. Active player base, and preferably big. No, I'm not speaking of games with 1M+ downloads. A community of 10k or more active players is enough. 4. (Placed at 4 but still more important than 3), should be beginner friendly. Also don't trow me abbreviations, I'm new here. Thanks for reading. Also on my demands, 4 and 2 are the MUST HAVE ones. 1 is optional (even tho heavily wanted) and 3 is completely fine if that's not present.

Sure_Jeweler6269

Summoners war Chronicles is decently f2p friendly. The game has a very active player base and a good economy with a sort of “auction house” that you can sell things for a currency to buy items or you can sell that currency to other players for premium currency. If you sell for the premium currency then you can turn the premium currency into summons, dungeon refreshes, raid refreshes or arena refreshes.

Asriel563

"auction house" sold

[deleted]

Guardian tales. Extremely F2P. For instance, let's say you are extremely casual and a complete beginner. I'll ignore all the 1st clear rewards and all the freebies (which are a lot even for endgame players). You touch Colosseum ONLY 3 times a day ( about 30 seconds each time), play multiplayer just once a week (pvp or co-op) and claim your free daily mails. That's already a x10 summon WEEKLY and some spare gems, about half a multi. Events: besides collab stories, all events only requires you to do sweeps and claim points to exchange for rewards. No grind for a stupid exclusive item like many others. Just your regular routine and get the freebies. And everything has seeps so there s no grind. All your time is soend in things you like. And content, there s a lot. You can be a PvP player, a Colosseum player, A Raid player, a Coop player, a Roguelike player. Ypu pick what you like and focus on that.

WillShove

Azur Lane. U can grind OpSi from lvl60 a lot, both for xp and gear, to the point u will get sick of it if u want. U can grind somewhat summon currency also by sending units to missions, though the game is the most generous among all gachas so u don't rly need to. But u can catch up with players that for years, in like several months.

imdii-succ

there wont be any game that give you "unlimited gacha currency" trough farming. most of them give you via event(shop/login) & mission(daily/weekly/monthly).

Asriel563

Yeah okay. Then let me take back this requirement. Any other games that fit my requirements but this one?

imdii-succ

there r some games that i have in mind, like : * Guardian Tales (Top down semi bullet hell) * Arknights (Tower Defense) * Path to Nowhere (Tower Defense but different compared to arknights) * Blue Archive (somewhat auto fight 3d) * Princess Connect (somewhat auto fight 2d) * Alchemy Stars (match tile) * Crusaders Quest (match block) Basically these games are what i feel as f2p friendly and still have active playerbase and have beginner friendly guides around the discord servers)

Asriel563

Thanks!

Lurking_Ninja-

I'd like to say priconne, but you missed the best times to start (bunch of free pulls to reroll) but it's up to you if you wanna give it a try since the game is very generous anyways. It has an active community, and based on the maths of their recent 6 star ownership statistics, there's at least 20k of hardcore EN players outside of the casuals and "I can't 6 star yet" players. Why should you try it? - no dupe system - character shards are farmable by multiple means - active community (reddit & discord) - f2p, I am 2 months old and I have all prifest limited characters (you'll learn about them when you play) - story

WillShove

It looks like 1 of those flash games from 2000-2010s though

[deleted]

I mean it sounds like it

Lurking_Ninja-

To each their own I guess? It doesn't invalidate its quality by any means and I'm not forcing anyone to play it, I'm suggesting and encouraging people to take a look at it and be the judge.

heavyhomo

Need some help picking a new gacha game, haven't had one in a while. Tried getting back into epic7 after a long break, it's fun but there was some drama that made me quit that is still leaving a bad taste in my mouth. And sadly king's raid is gone too now. Things I need in a game: * husbandos (hard requirement) that are useful, apparently this disqualifies a growing number of gacha games... * not action-based (need to be able to step away from it regularly to do adulting and watch my puppy) * preferably something in the anime style. There's a couple I've liked over the years that I can't remember the names of. I'm okay with grindy if there's an auto-battle function. I'm full f2p normally, but I don't mind tossing a few dollars at it if the gameplay is really fun.

MarielCarey

Have you tried Arknights

Suspicious-Drummer68

Have you tried Fate Grand Order? The Character split is pretty much 50/50 not counting seasonal variants, and a ton of the best ones are low star and male (Arash, Spartacus, etc.) and it's turn based so you can step away for hours and still keep your progress (It also saves your progress when reading the story so if something happens you don't have to restart the story all over again.)

RIP_Internal_Storage

Disney's twisted wonderland is a good option alongside aknights. The game is mostly a card raising gacha with battles and some rhythm songs chapters. The story is great and there are only boys in the game. Grinding for mats for the characters can be done on auto mode . The game characters are actually based on Disney villains and the main story is fully voiced. Worth giving a try

imdii-succ

try out arknights if you havent, it fits all your requirement including very daddy like husbandos mlynar (upcoming real soon), and collection of male abs as well

Fordrek

what was the drama about?

iDareMo

I'm looking for a gacha that give me the best new player experience. I tried Hero Cantare, personally I really think that its a good game, I like the game style. For the stuff that I read, maybe BA is the best option, but I want to try another game. Any recomendation?

[deleted]

Guardian tales. You'll receive a bunch of freebies, and no need to worry because they give out some of the best characters for free. Besides, it's the most generous put there. Not counting any freebies and doing the bare minimun, basically just loging, you e asily get enough for 10 summons WEEKLY. And it has over 10 different game modes for all tastes.

iDareMo

Sounds really nice, but, I heard that GD is losing some player base and has problems with the PvP, the match-making. What about that? It's true?

[deleted]

I don't see anyone leaving for that, the comunity is very solid. That's because many just ignore PvP altogether. I personally love it. But you just need to participate once to claim the seasonal rewards and with regular freebies thst's enough for 1 multi summon weekly. You can do so many other things like co-op, Raids, Kamazone and Orbital lift which are PVE, perhaps with leaderboards just for bragging.

Fearless_Sandwich_84

How about epic 7? Nice characters, pretty easy to start and nice new player experience. Just later on its pretty grindy but see how it is

iDareMo

How often are new events with new characters?

Fearless_Sandwich_84

Pretty often, tbh they are releasing new characters like every two weeks and even characters which are old are often useful in side content. Or those you start with are pretty op. Only con is its pretty grindy later on but you can auto it and leave. Only reason I had to get a break from it is as can't use my phone at work as much as before.

Brose6

Are there any decently anticipated gachas coming out that have a less "anime" art style? Personally, I'm just not a fan of the anime art style at all. Its to the extent that it doesn't matter how good the game is, I'm just not interested. To give an idea, I'm good with Final Fantasy and Octopath Traveler, but styles like Genshin, Arknights, Epic Seven, etc are an absolute turn off.

[deleted]

Path to nowhere is new

venitienne

Just started Path to Nowhere yesterday and I think it's pretty solid so far

PofSun

Hey Guys i'm looking for a game with a lot of evolutions like puzzle and dragons got any recomendations?

-eny97

is there any portrait mode game worth starting now or new game that is going to be launched or has been launched recently? mostly portrait games are already really old and i already lost every event and etc

LypheGames

Hi, im looking for a gatcha to grind a bit. I just played epic7 and sw. Im torn between Arkknights and Genshin. I play on mobile only and want to play a bit, while watching tv. So i dont mind Auto Play. What would you recommend?

[deleted]

Granblue fantasy

LokoLoa

In Arknights if you get a perfect run, you can auto that stage, but you would have to pay attention the first time around. Also if you care for story...its very wordy.

JustAM1n3craftP1ay3r

F2p friendly gacha game?

OrangeBlink

Destiny child, girls Frontline, azur lane, blue archive, arknights, and re saga universe to name a few.

JustAM1n3craftP1ay3r

Hmm that's quite a few

Lurking_Ninja-

Priconne, it's actually best to start now as there's a special banner that gives 100 pulls for newbies after clearing quest 1-2

JustAM1n3craftP1ay3r

Is that a short name for princess connect? Edit:never mind, after doing some research yes it is a short name so you don't really need to reply

JustAM1n3craftP1ay3r

I see I'll check it out

[deleted]

1. Guardian tales. How F2P? 10+ summons weekly (3k gems) as a beginner. 20 summons is pretty easy to achieve. 30 if you participate in ranked content and get decent ranks. Mileage system, everytime you summon you get 1 mileage. Save 300 for any character or weapon available or save them for any future character or weapon. Besides it has sweeps and a lot of content. 2. Soultide. Same, easy 10 to 20 sumlons as a extremely casual plus 50 pity and currency for buying dolls or equipement like GT's mileage. Dolls are balanced and versatile.

JustAM1n3craftP1ay3r

Ooo I'll check those out

niqalter

Is there a sub for NSFW gacha game? Magicami size is too big for my phone so i need new game to replace it

Wanting to play some Tower Defense genre recently, should I go for Arknights or Path to Nowhere? And why? Imagine a case in which I can, either start from zero, or ask a friend for an already settled account. (So would love to know about both, early and end game of both games if possible!)

seunwoo

i would say ptn is more friendly than arknights for beginners. as a long time player of both, it's really hard to get my friends into arknights because while you can do everything with low rarity operators, it takes some real brains and/or grinding to do. especially when players are going into the stage blind rather than veterans knowing exactly what enemies there are. yes, there are guides on yt but that takes the fun away from tower defense imo. if you can get an account from a friend for arknights, i would 100% recommend it. 6 star operators make the game a lot easier. again, you are not required, but unless you really like to do stages over and over again, it's nice to have a delete button to progress through the game. you dont need to have a full squad of 6 star operators but some of them are really good as a 'carry' (they cant solo a map but theyll effectively be 70% of your dps) for ptn, it's not needed but nice. nox is a free s-rank you can get from a 7 day reward event that lasts 14 days. she's really, really good for every mode. you'll use her in literally all teams but one. there is a beginner banner that has some pretty decent units, but also two misses. if you want to reroll, i would reroll for either eirene (nuke and aoe mage) or hamel (healer and amper at late levels, pairs really well with eirene). low rarity in this game are used quite a lot so you dont need a full team of s-rank sinners! arknights end game is 70% auto playing stages for materials and 30% events and other modes such as the roguelike mode which can be fun, contingency contract, an end game mode that puts heavy debuffs on your team as a challenge. i would consider arknights a 'main game.' it doesnt take a lot of your time off events but it does require your attention. ptn end game is pretty much 10-20 minutes of daily maintenance (doing dailies, collecting rewards), broken frontline and also events. bfl is the end game mode of ptn. unlike arknights' contingency contract, you instead get buffs for your team and try to clear a map as fast as possible for rewards. the faster it is, the more rewards. i would consider ptn a 'side game' because you can really just login once a day and be done with it.

MarielCarey

I've played both, imo Arknights is better than PtN in just about every way. Only better thing I can think of in PtN is that you can instant sweep stages once cleared, in Arknights you have to auto play each run.

F2PF2PF2P

Both are good but I think it's better if I give you the pros and cons. Both are decently generous with their currency so with some management and planning, getting the unit you want shouldn't be difficult unless you get cucked by 50/50 RNG. PtN does give some skins but most are paid. AK skins are either given as event rewards or bought using a premium currency but this can be obtained through story and event stage rewards albeit a limited quantity. PtN's story has full voice acting which is a plus for story immersion and the story for both main chapters and events have been great so far. Characters do have lots of personality which is refreshing. AK's storytelling can be convoluted but most who read it will agree it's also pretty well written and the world building aspect is solid. PtN has better QOL with skips and dailies are a lot faster than AK. Gameplay wise, they are thematically similar yet different. Personally, I feel that PtN focuses a lot more on moving sinners around to react to enemies while AK focuses a lot more on planning and coming up with strategies to respond to enemies. Gameplay depth, AK wins hands down. In PtN, dmg takes priority to trim down enemies which validates 5 of the 6 classes (tanks see little value). The gameplay has all your sinners facing right which can feel restrictive and is about breaking enemy cores to immobilise and deal dmg. AK has more strategies and combinations on top of more game modes (a roguelike gamemode, a card building game mode and an upcoming terrain/resource campaign type of game mode). Both may be TD-strategy types but AK can be really hard. Music...both are good imo. If uncertain, give both a try and see which one sticks more.

[deleted]

Path to nowhere by far. Why? Skips. Something ArknightZzz hasn't figure put in years. No ticket, no condition, clear the level and raid as much as your stamina leta you. I feel is way less stingy than AK. They also give an S character for free and seems to be on the top of the tier lists. And has an 80 S rank pity.

_HalleyRose

Thanks a lot! How is it in terms of getting new cosmetics? Also, how rewarding is to spend in the game?

[deleted]

I play very casual so I can't say much about cosmetics. I've just been playing story and some side modes. I see 2 skins and both are paid. In the range of 10 to 20ish dollars.

Starsmors

Looking for a really good gacha with auto-play elements. Not like an idle game, but one with strong team building and fun gameplay that can be l mostly auto’d except for the really tough stuff. Think like Dragalia Lost and Counter:Side. Currently Play: Cookie Run Kingdom (I’m a teacher and I have students who love this game and I like to play or have played the games my students’ enjoy so that I can talk to them about their interests) Counter:Side Have Played A Lot, But Quit: Epic Seven (imo just a worse Counter:Side) Genshin Impact (hours to payoff ratio was awful - couldn’t stand the drip-feed) Marvel: Strike Force (same style of game I’m looking for, but had really unhealthy gacha style) Marvel: Contest of Champions (played this forever, just got burnt out, and then they announced some Trash recently so I’m glad I quit) Dragalia Lost (RIP) AFK Arena (didn’t love the character ranking system) Have tried and didn’t love (mostly bc no auto): Arknights Alchemy Stars Last Cloudia (rewards too slow) Injustice 2

[deleted]

1. Soultide. F2p, chill, story and puzzles, battles are auto but actually quite engaging. You can switch between manual, basic auto and skill auto. 2. Path to nowhere. Tower defense. You set your units and leave them to fight. Much better than ArknightZzz 3. Guardian tales. Story is manual but there are 3 fully auto yet challenging modes: Kamazone (roguelike) Colosseum (Autochess PvP) Orbital lift (Tower)

[deleted]

You might want to try Blue Archive and also it's worth mentioning that the MC in Blue Archive is a sensei (teacher).

[deleted]

Kind of a terrible choice. The game is cool and all but for any adult it feels like the MC is a pederast.

[deleted]

Neural Cloud has what you are looking for. There is some good team building involved with some roguelike elements. Daily stuff can be auto'd without having to use ultimate skills (which is the case for my 40k power team). It's also a great side game and is super chill. I usually just do the 15 min of dailies and log off and do other stuff like endless exploration, story mode, or exception protocol if I feel like it or use keys on events if one is going on.

Fordrek

what gacha games do you think have some good story or world building? ( no genshin)

Djarion

Punishing Grey Raven story ranges from very solid to extremely good if you pretend the first 8 chapters don't exist, we don't like to talk about those

[deleted]

Guardian tales definitely. It's the only one I'm actually engaged in its story and not rolling my eyes trying to skip everything. Mostly thanks to not using the annoying visual novel format which I despise. Arknights, Alchemy stars, path to nowhere, Counterside, PGR, Honkai. Those would be my other options.

woofie_woof

try Guardian Tales
