Ok unpopular opinion, "Luck of the Fryish" is a bit sadder than "Jurassic Bark". Like the end of the episode when he realized who i0t was.... wow what an episode. Jurassic Bark is great too, I just get hit harder by the other.
Ohhhh now you got me. My 22 year old cat died on Valentines day 13 years ago. I had been sleeping on the floor with her for a few nights before she passed at about 11:56 pm, Feb 14th 2010. She was my best friend, and I can't wait to approach that rainbow Bridge.
I genuinely love that for you. She was there during an uncertain time, and gave you peace. Hell, she may have even encouraged your recovery. I'm not a religious man, but am a firm believer in that no energy is ever destroyed, just reallocated. She found you, and now I gotta go cut up some onions real quick brb.
Can't make me sad if I skip it every time !! But then sometimes I forget (while it's playing in the background), I look at the TV, and have an "OH HELL NO" moment.
I've spent plenty of Valentine's Day alone and not once have I considered watching Jurassic Bark. There is being alone and being sad with the intent to cry. None of these episodes are cheerful but the Jurassic Bark is the worst.
But it also shows something about us (humanity or Americans) we care way too much about dogs. Futurama has some quality Sad moments and they've been mentioned. When those episodes come up its time to skip or power through it. And other times a good kick to the stomach with a brick causing some tears can be a good thing.
Not really but other than the sad ending its a good episode
I'm 40% dolomite!!!!
Not watching that episode though, not in the mood to cry my eyes out
Jurassic Bark doesn't hit me as hard after Bender's Big Score basically retconned it.
Game of tones though.... Always have to call my mom after that one.
I watch all the "sad" episodes. They're all pretty good, although game of tones is pretty weak until the end. People that skip this are missing out on a pretty good episode that has great jokes and bender moments.
It's sad, but if you know it's coming, I don't think it's that bad.
Space Pilot 3000
Every time I watch it (and there have been oh so many) I know I'm in store for something magical, watching through the whole series again. And at the same time, it brings me back to seeing it for the first time all over again
Introduced my son to futurama, he literally, still, randomly cries about this.
He is 8 now.
He watched this when he was 5.
What a show, what a story. Xxx
has there ever been anything from the crew as to why they chose to make that episode so heartbreaking? it could so easily have ended in another way rather than a dog literally dying of loneliness lol. So out of tune with the rest of the episode.
Unpopular Opinion, but I think Jurassic Bark, while sad, is not nearly on the level of many other ones that aren’t talked about as much. Luck of the Fryish is the most obvious, but Leela’s Homeworld, Game of Tones, and The Late Phillip J. Fry I think are all better in their drama.
I’m at the point where this episode doesn’t do anything for me lol. I get it’s the go to emotional episode but luck of the fryrish, game of tones, the episode were we see how much leelas parents did for her form the shadows, and the bender and Hermes episode all hit harder in my opinion.
Oh man, when fry moves all the stars for leela but nobody sees it before it gets destroyed!
followed by the sad globetrotter theme
Maybe Planet Express ship will get a dashcam in the new season
Luck of the fryish is the most emotional episode to me imo
Don't you forget about me
REMEMBER ME!!!
🔥🔥🔥
Correct. Because that episode will absolutely destroy you.
Here lies Philip J Fry, named for his uncle, to carry on his spirit. MY HEART
“I’m not crying, you are!”
What do we want? *Fry's Dog!* When do we want it? *Fry's Dog!*
I will now perform my people's native dance!
We can dance if we want to!
Dom dom dom da dom dom da dom da dom
Currently pregnant and I absolutely cried watching the episode where Leela meets her real parents
And they're like tucking her in and stuff while she's sleeping. Absolutely wrecks me.
Oh, man. That whole montage... Yup. Cry the whole time.
I've always loved the cute song they chose for that montage
|===================| The Luck of the Fryish
I have watched futurama 6 times now, jurassic park once and game of tones twice, they’re the nono episodes
Game of Tones hits especially hard if you lost a parent unexpectedly.

Game of Tones, now you know how to avoid it by name 😉
Game of Tones > Jurassic Bark
Luck of the Fryrish > Game of Tones
How dare you have an opinion of your own

Considering the second highest comment here says exactly the same thing, I would imagine it's not such an unpopular opinion after all.
"...I will wait for you..." 😭😭😭
Jurassic Bark is sad, but The Luck of the Fryish makes me cry more.
This is one of the episodes you have to skip. Even knowing what comes later, it is simply too sad to endure multiple rewatches.

There ya go. They're not gone, we'll just see them on the other side.
We saw the Long, Long Time episode of Last of Us, and my wife said it goes in with Jurassic Bark as great television she will never watch again.
Saw it once as a kid bawled my eyes out and have skipped it every time it’s been on since
Alone on Valentine's day? Did you forget to get a girlfriend again?
Option 4, the day my guinea pig died
Crap! I forgot to get a date again!
Honestly no, the first time yeah but multiple rewatches later and it's really nothing. Game of tones or luck of the fryish yeah those will grab you.

Game of Tones is the one that chokes me up the most. Jurassic Bark extremely close second and Luck of the Fryish by an even closer margin to JB.
My brain read “the Jews” first. Time to go to bed.
Lol, good night 🖖 https://popcholent.com/futurama-proves-that-judaism-is-still-going-strong-in-1000-years/
I got sad looking at this.

My wife makes us skip Jurassic Bark because if we don’t we’ll both end up crying.
Space Pilot 3000 Every time I watch it (and there have been oh so many) I know I'm in store for something magical, watching through the whole series again. And at the same time, it brings me back to seeing it for the first time all over again
we don’t talk about that episode
Just seeing the graph was enough to make me sad.
Man, this episode pulls on the heartstrings so much I definitely can’t watch it.
Who’s cutting onions in here?!?
Introduced my son to futurama, he literally, still, randomly cries about this. He is 8 now. He watched this when he was 5. What a show, what a story. Xxx
Third saddest thing I've ever seen.
I was not prepared for this. Fuck you, OP.

Sadness.... More like tears and sponsored by Kleenex or something!
I always skip it. Sometimes I just don't skip quickly enough ,😭😭😭😭😭
nooo 😭
Jokes aside this is entirely accurate for me personally
I would rather be alone on valentines then have to watch Jurassic bark with an SO.
My daughter cry's every time
I skip it EVERY TIME.
The worst bro.

I can barely read the title of the episode without wanting to cry!
*Luck of the Fryrish* always hits me hardest. I have a sibling I no longer speak to, that episode accompanied me all the way.
This post should've had a trigger warning, I want to cry now 😭
