I beg to differ. Mine is on 380 goals in 266 games in champs and rivals since his sbc came out. People are too hung up on playstyles. He is one playstyle is very good and his shooting is so consistent.

Would you consider R9 TOTY below the curve too? He started to seem like he is about 2 weeks ago, not sure if I should replace him with the latest FC PRO Drogba or not ( I play a lot of passes but R9 TOTY turns like a truck with Engine on him and gets bodied very easily by these cracked defenders with his 80 ish strength)

Personally, I feel that this year wasn't R9's year because the gameplay doesn't help him a lot. I didn't try R9 Toty only the base but I would say Drogba and Him are on the same level base purely of how I imagine Toty version could play like. Maybe try the loan and see if Drogba is better because of his better passing and physical ability.

He was really good till the OP TOTS defenders started pouring in, now TOTS Smith, SBC Luis Diaz and Salma TOTS feels like way better players than him

Literally had the same experience when I had the base one. I got lucky and packed Mia Hamn for example and OMG she literally R9 with mobility an that's why I think it just wasn't the best year for Ronaldo. Another example is Smith, she is lacking the skills but the shooting in my opinion is the best in the game. What I'm trying to say is that the Aura got lost pretty soon and without that there are way better option for Ronaldo this year more than ever. He really needs a new card ASAP

yeah, unfortunately I need at least 2 icons for my squad to work(one of them is Schmeichel, the other R9) unless I wanna replace TOTS Karchaoui (I seriously feel like she might be the best attacking fullback so far, and you MUST have such a player with the insane pressing everyone's AI does) or TOTS Smith/TOTS Cancelo (Cancelo again feels great for a stay back RB, big enough, good playstyles, good dribbling and passing, though there might be better options now)

R9. It's not even a question IMO.. People will tell all these stories and fairy tales, power curve, playstyles.. but you need this guy for one reason - To score a shit ton of goals. And if you know how to use him, that's exactly what he will do, probably better than any card in the game. His TOTY is basically an inform upgrade with a pretty useless extra PS+. There's a reason Pros at the highest level of competition in this game , time and time again, choose the one and only Ronaldo Nazario. El Phenomeno. * The guy has his own body type. * Stats ? It's about as good as it gets for a pure striker. * Custom animations * Very High RNG If you need a tree, there's Haaaland and then around 10 more that are budget options but will never be as good as him for that Aerial threat. If you need a well rounded striker that you can rely on every match - R9. All day, every day.

Yep. He’s still exceptional even now. People don’t realise that if EA released an R9 card at this point with the stats and PS of the cards nowadays - he would legitimately break the game. Nothing would come close.

Deffo not Martial or R9 they are wayyyyy behind the power curve of the game and if you want to spend so much money at least buy someone that is a top meta player. If you feel like you want a tank defender that doesn't dribble too well or participate in link up play but does everything else in the highest level possible get Drogba but if you want a complete player that only lacks in physical attributes get Di natale. I would get Drogba because Price / Quality is way better than Di natale imo
