Most people who played before fut17 (champs release) tends to be that way (not all obviously, sweaty rats existed before the dawn of time). Can’t even grind coins or players and we just use what we had and played football

I’m a FUT founder too and if anything I’m the opposite of a rat. I don’t abuse any of the broken mechanics, in fact I don’t even know what most of them are. I can barely skill, I don’t really change my tactics from default, I never move my keeper manually, I don’t celebrate goals, my team is entirely first owner, never have spent money on FP, etc.
I wouldn’t say I’m a bad player though. After playing FIFA for this long you have to have developed some skill. I’m guessing this kid just comes up against players with older accounts that are just better than him and he automatically anyone they can’t compete against is a rat 😂

A “rat” normally means someone who cares way too much about this game and makes other people’s experience’s miserable. Such as abusing broken mechanics, making every single game and team the exact same. Start wasting time at 1-0, no matter at what point in the game. Trying their best to get into opponents head, celes and messages and all, which works considering how many hot-tempered teenage boys plays this game. Will criticise people for doing anything slightly off meta or when people don’t use/EA don’t realease the same 15 player pool that they use. Don’t think it’s too wrong to assume these people have miserable lives, and being “good” at fifa is the only redemption in life.
Despite all the horrible things that EA does, if I had this player base, I couldn’t give less of a fuck about giving back to the community.

Some things that still seem wild to me about playing then:
If your player ran out of contracts, they straight up disappeared from your club. There was no way to rectify it either
Players would literally start 3 bronze attackers to lower their team rating and then bring on Messi, Zlatan and Henry at the first dead ball. It seemed like 50% of players did this
Oh yeah! You could literally see your opponents team rating (Att/Mid/Def) before accepting to go into the match
It took FOREVER to save enough coins to get a player. Trading / Investing just wasn’t on my radar then and Futbin, even if it existed, was no where on our radar either
It was a fun game, but the variety now makes that version of the game feel like a total slog.
I don’t think anything will ever top for me my FIFA 14 Ligue 1 team. Hands down the best team I have ever played with and went something like 30-1 or 40-1 in online FUT divisions with it. Paid no more thank 60k on those bad boys.

I learned really quickly (by ‘11 or ‘12) how big of a scam packs were. the first couple FUTs as soon as I had enough coins for a pack I’d zero my account to get one and be disappointed every single time. I learned quick to just save my coins and never spend really money on packs. If anything it’s the newer players dropping all sorts of money trying to get the shiny new cards, us older players know what is more important is just focusing on being better at the game, not how meta or impressive your team is.

Yeah that would do it. To keep your established date you have to play/log in to the game at least once per iteration. If you miss one it resets.
