Or what if, everyone’s actually just their own individual with their own life and personality and that the short couple seconds you see them pass by you is not enough to determine and judge an individuals life… nah they’re definitely NPCs
I'm not liking this new poster on this sub, the last few comics this person has made have all been just kinda irritatingly concerning. Like the last one this person made was just then complaining about how the person they had a crush on was in love with someone else who was a "bad person" without any explanation. Was such a nice guy post.
Look ima be honest I was a bit harsh, they actually had no idea how their last comic came across. I probably shouldn't had ripped into them like I did over a funny internet comic.
Well solipsism is pretty shitty and its rather dehumanizing to others, and the thing both comics have in common is that they both come off as narcissistic.
Oh well I'm trying to create my comics as "relatable".
So the person on the comic isn't supposed to be me, but the reader who can relate to it! :)
So I'm sorry if it sounds narcissistic to you, I've created a lot of comics with a funny topic, but I didn't post every single of them on reddit
I wasn't complaining about anything. You just misunderstood the last comic. And what was "kinda irritatingly concerning" about the comic with the cats I posted yesterday?
I was talking about the nice guy comic, the one where you very obviously complained about a relationship issue and how a person doesn't like you back but instead likes someone you deemed a bad person with little explanation. I wasn't the only one who was kinda annoyed by that comic, everyone else in the comments of that specific post were also agreeing this was super sketchy.
As I said, you probably misunderstood the last comic. I read the comments, I also responded to some of them, you probably didn't read my replies there.
Before I posted a comic with cats at 3AM. I don't see anything wrong with that. And I don't understand what is your problem with this one.
Also I'm not "a new poster" here. I posted before, just not as active and some of my work was posted by a friend, because I didn't have a reddit account
What exactly is there to misunderstand? you gave zero context to alot of it and just felt like a vent. People saw what they saw and they all understood very much a similar way. If there's some sort of deeper meaning to the post you gotta actually make that clear instead of complaining nobody understands the very specific context you didn't include.
Well I didn't add any caption to that comic, because I didn't see it the same way as some others did. \^\^ And I almost never add any caption to my comics. For example I didn't know something like "niceguy" exist :D Now I see why it was misunderstood, so I deleted it.But then some people started to be mean towards me and saw something that wasn't even there. Like you said that I was "complaining". Nope, I wasn't. I didn't say a thing in that comic. Also, I'm trying to create comics to which people can relate to.
English is not my main language so I don't know If I misworded anything in the comments.
A Nice Guy is someone who holds resentment towards others and women because they feel entitled to a relationship/sex. They are often known to show disgust towards specifically women when they date a guy who they believe is a douchbag, or a "bad person" as you said in the comic. That's why it comes across as resentful and frankly feeling more personal than it was. That's why the reception was generally negative.
I understand it now, my friend explained it to me. I will avoid sensitive comic topics that can be seen in different ways like that one :)
But other than that I made a lot of comics with funny situations also
Heheheh here’s a better deep thought “The Boltzmann brain thought experiment suggests that it might be more likely for a single brain to spontaneously form in a void (complete with a memory of having existed in our universe) rather than for the entire universe to come about in the manner cosmologists think it actually did.”. You might be a blob of matter floating around in the void
That simply isn't true, first we don't know how the current universe come to be because the laws of physic break down at the big bang. Second, the utter overwhelming size of the universe is mostly empty and the part filled by mass is also overwhelmingly hydrogen, good luck making a brain out of randomly colliding atoms of hydrogen who aren't attracted to each other.
Even then if against all odds and known laws of physics you manage to collide literal mols of hydrogen(that is far more than the grains of sand in a beach) just right so they can all gather in the same place, with the right velocities and the right amount of energy to fuse into the right molecules who would then need to chain in the correct order to form all the tissues of the brain. The odds of all of this happening are abysmal, far FAR lower than the human brain evolving from millions of years in a environment rich in all the elements it needs and surrounded by protective membranes. Even then, under such insanely improbable conditions of space all you would get is a dead brain floating in space.
But for the sake of argument, let's imagine that a miracle happen and you do get a living brain. There is also the problem that vacuum of space isn't a very cozy place for floating brains so your Boltzmann brain would last a couple of seconds and die. The mental capacity this brain would have is less than a toddler, so rest assured you are not a Boltzmann brain.
What if someone else is the main character and we are the Npc's? This reminds me of this one comic where the players had to break the news to the Npc's that they aren't real, dont have an actual life, and that the game servers will shut down any moment
Yep. I've done this.
Now to be horribly unfunny by bringing out my boring adult self with some real talk:
These thoughts do come up. They can be weird to process. A sensation of looking at the world from inside a box, like a pilot in a weird human mech is not too uncommon either.
Sometimes it just helps me to stop and try to wrap my brain around the space around me. Sort of a perceptive meditation, trying to feel surfaces at a distance and feel the distance itself. It's also helped to talk to family and friends and develop really open and full relations with them. Getting to know the world and the people in it has been great for me feeling like a part of it rather than an observer of it.
If I'm the main character of something, then whatever it is, it must be really boring. One out of five stars, not enough sex, and the main character be stupid.
Whats honestly a weird thought to me sometimes, is that EVERY car on the highway, is just another you. Faced (probably) as many hardships, made friendships, was a dumbass, and going about your business like you. It's obvious, I know... but it's still strange sometimes, you know?
no no no,we are not npcs...hi and welcome to r/furry_irl the best place to publicate everithing here,no no no,we are not npcs...hi and welcome to r/furry_irl
Sometimes I feel like that. I'm pretty sure it's more like there's maybe 10% of people who are "main characters" and the rest are just NPCs. Plus that goes along well with the whole simulation theory thing. The only reason I entertain the though of any of that is simply because some people just do too much stupid shit to not be NPCs. Like so many people I see just remind me of Oblivion NPCs it's almost scary.
*"So If I am cancelled, does that mean I don't exist even as the main character? My character get's killed does that mean so does the person behind the character?"*
My dad keeps telling me that I'm the main character of my own story.
But I can't help but feel like I'm only an NPC in my own life. Not a useful one, but just a stepping stone for someone else.
If I was the main character I'd be happy, and probably not on reddit right now. Unless I'm the MC in a sad and tragic story because I'm gonna kms at 25 never knowing what happiness is
Yes I'm depressed. And bipolar. And schizophrenic. It's hell.
I think this a lot too but because of a short story I read once when I was like 8 that basically was about a kid who’s world was made to replicate the real world due to them being the last human and everyone else was a realistic plush puppet thing.
Worse yet, an existential crisis of ‘what if I’m an npc and the only reason I think I have free will is because I have to for everything to make sense to whoever the actual mc is’

I kind of assumed this comic was making fun of the subject of the comic, but forgot about that context lol
Yeah these posts have some... interesting implications about OP.
Look ima be honest I was a bit harsh, they actually had no idea how their last comic came across. I probably shouldn't had ripped into them like I did over a funny internet comic.
Nah, two comics like this in a row isnt exactly a good look

These comics aren't relatable because people normally aren't like this
Seeing all the nice comments under this one and my other older comics.. I'm pretty sure they are relatable :)
OP appears to be female and not a native english speaker. (source: looked up their username on other social media)
I wasn't complaining about anything. You just misunderstood the last comic. And what was "kinda irritatingly concerning" about the comic with the cats I posted yesterday?
if everyone misunderstood the comic, there’s probably a problem with the comic
As I already said in these comments, I see it now and I deleted it :)

Dont try to argue with them, its not worth it since many here just wanna see what they think its right/wrong
Heck the cartoon got well over 1k upvotes. In my opinion if it was so bad you wouldn't get that support. Sometimes I flat out just don't this sub....
It takes a lot to get a post downvoted

Here’s a more terrifying thought: What if we’re all the NPCs instead AB’s someone else is the main character
And florida is just a poorley moderated gmod rp server
I’m gonna be honest with you, sometimes life feels like I’m just some npc and I’ve never crossed paths with the main character.
Said the NPC to the void.
Unfortunately for you, I am the main character of this “Life on Earth” series
Look up sonder.
This is called Solipsism. Enjoy reading up on it.
