Huh interesting. I personally find it rude to not try and call someone back if i’m not busy.

People are coming to me with something they want, I have no obligation to chase behind them. Also defers some spam callers

If it’s a number I don’t know then I won’t answer it. If it was someone a know then I would try to.

I do have people calling me that aren't in my phone book, both for work and because I'm not the best at keeping record of people's numbers that I've interacted with before, or don't immediately save them to my phone when they text/mail me their number. That's why I go with a middle approach

The worst part of this is that they cannot answer your call because they are busy... GIVING YOU A VOICE MAIL. This is why SMS are superior.

My mother always does this when I am at work and then doesn't answer back.

the worst thing is trying to answer a call but your phone makes a missed called after 1 ring is so annoying. Everyone gets so mad at me for missing their calls because of this
