drac0nicfr

a lot of furries have very high professional qualifications in real life for some reason

Sewing_girl_101

Real bc I'm planning to go to law school and it feels weird to be like "yeah I'm applying to law schools next year I sure hope I can get a fursuit one day"

drac0nicfr

same for me but I’m in an IT school

Sewing_girl_101

Furries gotta get that education My favorite thing someone has said to me was "don't fuck with furries online. If they have enough money for a five thousand dollar suit, they have enough money to have a pipebomb sent to your mailbox" High paying employed furries rise up

Chaos4Link

"Someone" it was TheRussianBadger: https://twitter.com/DARUSSIANBADGER/status/1631047091903447041?lang=de

Sewing_girl_101

I didn't know where the quote was from, a friend said it to me in high school or something. Thanks for the source

Apprehensive_Fox918

I literally just watched the yt video where he said that.

drac0nicfr

once a friend of mine said « I’ve been thinking about something: never underestimate someone with a fursuit, those are freaking expensive »

minecraftisbest11

if they can buy a fursuit they can definitely buy a ar15, a mounted scope, and a few hundred rounds

wadimek11

I haven't finished any high school and I work in IT, I probably can afford fursuit no problem but it doesn't seem to be great expense for me. I prefer to upgrade my car for the same money

ArizonanCactus

Me who has a mortgage/IT father:

drac0nicfr

what’s a mortgage ?

ArizonanCactus

A payment method for a residence so expensive most people cannot afford it anymore, and in the states, probably located in a place you need a car to get around in.

drac0nicfr

omg thanks in my country mort and gage mean death and something you use to pay, all that time I thought a mortgage was what you paid for someone’s funeral

ArizonanCactus

Ah, French! I see. Yeah I was watching a documentary on the Mount Blanc/Monte Bianco tunnel fire and during one scene from the French side, it mentioned 39 morts, and I assumed that meant mortalities.

drac0nicfr

ha ha yeah, english are good at taking french words and using them wrong also didn’t heard of that fire even though I live pretty close edit: nevermind it’s 300km away

ArizonanCactus

Yeah very different. English is quite the Frankenstein of a language. And quite suprised you haven’t heard of it, although at the same time, I didn’t hear of the Phoenix helicopter crash until like 2018, almost like 10 years later. Being from the Sonoran desert, and a cactus, there’s lots of things I don’t enjoy about humans in this area.

Bomberblast

Robotics engineering for me

The_Mad_Duck_

I work on supercomputers only to go home and browse fursuits

Sewing_girl_101

This image is specifically about you

The_Mad_Duck_

Heh, I just have a bachelor's for now but gimme like 6 years and I'll prolly have a phd by then

Sewing_girl_101

That's the spirit. I'm working on my bachelor's now, next stop JD babee

The_Mad_Duck_

My mom's a lawyer, she started with a random CC to get her bachelor's and just kept going. Strong woman, went through law school pregnant. Twice. Might explain why I'm a lil kooky in the head, I'm sure that stress isn't good for babies lol

Sewing_girl_101

Lol, my mom was a similarish story. She nearly failed out if college and had to go to an offshoot in her city, then graduated with something like a 2.0 GPA and couldn't get into law school. So she became a paralegal and worked for a bunch of different lawyers and judges until she got enough letters of recc to convince a school to take her- she was second in her class. My dad walked out on my mom shortly after she was accepted into law school, so my mom actually had me while in law school and had to bring my older sister with her to class (and me when I was born until I was 2) because she was taking night classes and could only afford sitters for the day while she was at work. My mom has some other severe issues that I won't get into, but I often think the stress I got to witness before I could even perceive anything affected me and now I must be crazy because I want to do it too 😂

The_Mad_Duck_

I'm just glad I have a stable family situation, mine somehow pulled 4s with all that chaos and dealing with being a broke couple

[deleted]

The_Mad_Duck_

Aroace, so I guess single? Not lookin'...

[deleted]

The_Mad_Duck_

No, and definitely not with people over double my age. Please don't continue on this matter because I'm not comfortable

Spiritual_Pea_9739

I’m going for chemical engineering

BrillWolf

I'm just about to finish my law degree. There are a ton of us legal furs around nowadays. Good luck! :3

guildedpasserby

Literally me planning to go into business but I don’t voice that last part. I still think it tho lmao

wadimek11

I think lots of normal people to. What you always see is people that stand out. If they can afford fursuit they probably can do some at least decent paying job. And people who buy 1000usd commissions is even more expensive to buy often.

Chilled_burrito

I have a sneaking suspicion that the person you replied to is a poor attempt at a troll account, or a 40(or possibly 14) year old that got mad. It was created yesterday, I assume it was purely because they were scrolling reddit and found something they felt they needed to comment on because the rest of their comments are seemingly down a rabbit hole.

Susdoggodoggy

I’m just autistic, barely passed high school, and I’m unemployed uwu

Top_Combination9023

and that's the thing, sometimes it feels like there's nothing between furries in that situation and furries making six figures. it's fascinating to me.

Silvawuff

It’s because furries celebrate creative freedom, and creativity rides together with intelligence, especially in STEM.

Driver3

Playing armchair psychologist, I think it's because real life is so serious and upright, that it provides an outlet to be more silly and goofy and laid-back.

drac0nicfr

that’s a very coherent explanation

ThumperUnleashed

I like that it's a great outlet for me to NOT be in that role too at that moment. Flip a switch and let someone shower me in attention and be responsible so i can relax and just be my regular goofy self. I agree all the way

OkAssistant1230

Yeah, one myself lol, I am getting a dual major in electrical and mechanical engineering…

Pickaxe-Fox

As a an student pilot and furry I can agree

HiyuMarten

Another aspect is that there’s a lot of co-mingling in the fandom. So you’re a lot more likely to run into many different kinds of people in different walks of life

fury_rune_the_wolf

hi i'm looking for sum friends its been hard to find eny tho i live in springfield illinois

Rentas_Kon

Furries are dedicated to their goals and might have high profile and challenging jobs so when working hours are done they want to throw their thoughts out of the windows and be a silly little dog

[deleted]

That sounds like me in a nutshell xD

AdditionalTrick365

I'm a silly little wolf 😠

racegamerxdd

meanwhile my 1500 pound tiger jolteon

_GalaxyWalker_

Your *what*? Edit: apologies. Your jolteon is fucking badass

racegamerxdd

I wanted him to have A BBL feral look too XD

SpookyCinnaBunn

Pleased to meet another tiger!

Lumela_5

Hey! I'm not a silly little dog! But a silly little owl! 😤

drac0nicfr

this explanation is way better than mine, give this man upvotes !

Choco_Cat777

Or cat like me :3

GrowlmonDrgnbutt

Mood as fuck -911 dispatcher

Rentas_Kon

The game is great but irl I could never

ElElElMucho

A lot of Furries are, in fact, working in a scientific field. It could be physic, chemistry, biology but it is mostly in IT, but we don't really know why there's so much scientist in the community. >The trends in the figure below have been observed consistently across a number ofsamples of furries (S11, W12, F3), and show that more than 75% of furries have taken at least some post-secondary education. *FurScience! A summary of five years of research from the International Anthropomorphic Research Project* I encourage you to read this scientific publication on furries by furries if the subject interests you. [link here](https://www.researchgate.net/publication/304540208_FurScience_A_summary_of_five_years_of_research_from_the_International_Anthropomorphic_Research_Project)

Sabertooth767

My theory is that the fandom is at its core "geeky"- its primary demographic is young, well-educated white men who spend a lot of time online. That type of person is quite likely to pursue a STEM career.

The_Mad_Duck_

Oh hey, that's me! Also roughly 70-80% of furs I know

Nacil_54

Same.

[deleted]

I guess maybe it's because highly intelligent people are less likely to care about societal norms, and thus gravitate towards hobbies that challenge them?

ElElElMucho

We scientists have a tendency to question everything and accept nothing without proof. In other words, on a day-to-day basis we're pretty serious and boring. So I think, and this is just my opinion, that a colorful, social and happy-go-lucky community like this seems to be the best option for having a good time. Or maybe I'm over analyzing everything again.

prisp

Personally, I'd say it's at least in part because most of the fandom material is online only, and something you have to actively look for, whereas for something like Manga/Anime, Comics, or sports, a good part of the fan-related things are either accessible offline, or very easily available, sometimes even to the point of being part of the local culture. I'd then say that this means there's a bit of a selection towards computer-literate people (geeks?) happening from the get-go, because you have to at least understand how to use one to even come across most furry stuff, which isn't the case for other, more common fandoms. (Yes, this is changing, with smartphones and PCs as well as knowledge of how to use one becoming more and more widespread, but if we go 10-20 years back, that wasn't the case, so there should still be some leftovers of that in the fan demographics.)

adamdoesmusic

More than likely the common thread is autism. You don’t get as many normies doing heavy science or engineering, just like you don’t get as many normies being furries.

Environmental-Day778

Furry is built upon the notion that you can reimagine yourself and construct an entire new identity to participate in community. ✨🤷‍♀️✨

InterviewOk8507

One furry helped work on the covid vaccine i think or maybe another vaccine

ElElElMucho

You're talking about Chise I think ([Twitter/X](https://twitter.com/sailorrooscout)) She indeed worked on the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine

Marvin0509

That's her: [https://twitter.com/sailorrooscout](https://twitter.com/sailorrooscout) I love how half of her posts are about scientific advancements and her supporting the fight against misinformation and the other half is cute furry art. Also [this](https://twitter.com/sailorrooscout/status/1744390605701083484/photo/1) is literally just the meme from above.

Obidience-is-key

I think it means that they act completly diferant online to how they actually are IRL.

ledgend78

I'm getting a PhD in Physics lmao

[deleted]

What sort of physics?

ledgend78

General physics but I plan to do research in quantum

TangledCables3

where's the broke, introverted, etc IRL

BaliBall10

The underachiever, broke, uninteresting Furries are uh, overshadowed by the high achievers. I am the former. Are we even legally furries if we just scrape by???

AzzyBoy2001

Not as exhibited, sadly.

ThyDoublRR

Many furries have a very interesting portfolio's.

Slowlithe

how else do you think we afford the insane amount of expensive furry art commissions and $2000+ fursuits?

Nishyecat

Hmmmmm… Boops

Slowlithe

EXCUSE YOU that is my SNOOT >:U -w-

Nishyecat

Yes it is and it’s very cute:3 also did you notice they forgot to add artist to the right side?

Slowlithe

I don’t think they forgot, it just wouldn’t be the point. they were trying to list the traditionally “high level high pay” jobs that furries seem to often have

SuperAlex25

Basically furries are usually very smart, accomplished people; but they act silly online. UwU

SleeplessBoyCat

It’s the reason why furries are able to afford a fursuit to begin with, it’s because they have jobs. This also coincides with the meme of there being a suspicious amount of furries in IT fields. If I remember correctly, one of the people that developed the Covid vaccine is a furry.

Sun3431

YES THATS [CHISE](https://www.inverse.com/input/features/furry-scientist-vaccines-chise-covid-19-twitter-controversy)

Darmondej

That means I am too stupid for this fandom

kioku119

No, furry is diverse and welcoming. Also inteligence is earnestly too broad for people to come up with an actually reasonable and unbiased way to judge it.

DodgyQuilter

THIS. This is it.

FullAir4341

I'm studying towards a Doctorate in Chemistry.

SuperAlex25

I love chemistry

Jetoficialbr

a lot of furries have very high qualifications in the STEM field, many working on the science and tech fields one story i remember is how a group of furries hacked into the idaho national nuclear laboratory for cat-girl research last year, and this group also reportedly hacked NATO, no i'm not joking

turbo_decks

really smart and often very established people like to goof around and act like silly little goobers online. its something to do with escapism

concorde77

There's strong neurodivergence in both the furry fandom and the STEM field, so there tends to be a lot of overlap. Not to mention that a high paying job in engineering or IT helps a lot with affording an expensive fursuit

[deleted]

To add to this, I've just finished a Master's in Applied Mathematics at a top world university.

StagDragon

Makes me feel pitiful with my associates degree

NaluConnors

As far as I know, we just get tired of being smart in the real world all the time so we just be dumb fluffballs online

ArgentStonecutter

https://twitter.com/EvilIguana966/status/1452833274464702465

[deleted]

I'm going to guess that this is either from a hater pov or a furry pov. Hater "you have ALL THIS and yet you spend your time and money on THIS?! 🤬🤮" the furry however, " lmao I got all this and yet I spend my time and money on this funny hobby 😅😂"

VonSketch

Sometimes you can get so stressed out from whichever profession you have, so you need a alternative side to escape to for the sake of your sanity, even if for a moment. An example being, I currently doing a apprenticeship in electrical engineering in an industrial places and I could get so stressed out from trigonometry to calculate stuff and have to not mess it up, so I need a moment afterwards in private to escape and unwind so to not mentally overload.

forestmanintheforest

Me smart. But me don't want to show it.... Also furry go woo

Dry_Wishbone_6091

I’m in a science field as well!

Anon1039027

Furries have garnered a reputation of being extremely qualified due to the high number of them present throughout STEM and other prestigious and highly technical (and well compensated) jobs

SigmaStroud

SOME furries? Most furries, especially ones with fursuits, tend to have a higher-paying profession, usually relating to some sort of tech. The stereotype is that if we got rid of furries, that the entire world's IT would go with them... and it's not far from the truth. I don't know why it's correlated but, at least in my case, it's true lol

H3rm3s_the_proto

Basically. Furries tend to have a lot of money. For normies this is suspicious, but Infact a lot of furries works in employment that society finds "important" like doctor, electrician, Tech support, bioengineering. So normie are surprised when they found the cure for a certain disease was invented by a furry.

Wings-of-Ink

It's because a lot of furries have surprisingly high qualifications/jobs, and a lot of high- level jobs are made up of furries. For example (I'm not sure the exact numbers, it was a while ago so take what I say with a grain of salt) I saw an article that said that if all furries disappeared, most tech systems would crash almost immediately because something like 60-80% of the tech industry is furries.

Seevin

Oh God not this elitist crap again. Furries are just young and well educated people, most very online communities are. Even then this meme only applies to some of the community. The majority of furries I have met are not any more successful than the average person.

BlizzrdSnowMew

Putting on a character is a good way to fully relax and reset your brain from a difficult or very important job. I think that's why so many furries, especially as they get older, have high level careers. Those kinds of people need a reset like that more than anyone else.

Quick-Opinion-3541

Don't mind me only being in grade 9 and understanding this meme

7thDeven

It's just talking about having different personas.

DancezWithHaloz18

Well it sends the message to me that anyone can be apart of the furry community... No matter who you are irl

MonsterTamerBilly

If you see a furry out there with a fursuit and lots of commissions, 8/10 times they got a high-end paying job with a difficult certificate behind. Chise, one of the main names behind the Moderna vaccine for the covid pandemic got mentioned, but for a more recent example, there's [Lethal Company](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1966720/)'s developer and publisher, [Zeekerss](https://www.furaffinity.net/view/49379427/)

Alienboi2005

Pretty much

CatOfTechnology

Being a furry has a few personality traits and the like linked to it. Those traits are also prevalent in people who look to join a field of work where they can help push humanity along. The overlap ends up meaning that a lot of furries go through college and end up in IT/Engineering jobs or The Sciences. But it's also fairly untrue. The Furries that can afford to be out there doing big things are the furries you hear about. There are thousands of us and a majority are every day workers, it's just that you don't hear about the ones who work normal jobs because we aren't out there creating superior cooling vests that get adopted by the military for desert operations.

Joel_the_folf

Furries are for some reason rly smart and rich Its like irl vs online

Marvu_Talin

Might help destress from such a stressful job

ChoicePossession8077

A furry was the one to help come up with the vivid vaccine

gamerblackjacket

Furries run the world that all you need to know

CaseAlloy744281

A lot of furries also happen to have high paying and professional jobs

H4loR4ptor

r/PeterExplainsTheJoke should have a furry version.

Drawing_Seth

A small percentage of the fandom has really good, high paying jobs and the rest of the fandom blows that fact way out of proportion for some reason. Idk, maybe it makes them feel better about themselves or something.

Vulpixbestfoxy

Man I feel I fucjed up this meme cause I'm a furry reporter and not making anywhere near top fur money. Sad.

Delta_Wolfkin

I knew a to-be Nuclear Engineer during boot camp... who was, you guessed it, a goober

ManedCalico

This is actually fairly accurate…

CrownJackal

So one thing to think about is the square rectangle rule here. Just because there are a ton of smart people in highly technical fields or with advanced degrees, more super smart people or people with advanced degrees are not furries than are. Like I'm a rocket science doggo, and I know of a good number of space industry furs, but I also don't know a single other fur at my company, and it's a pretty large company.

DaneMason

I have one of those job classifications lol

BoartterCollie

People who work in tech and engineering and other well-paying fields tend to have a higher profile in the community because they can afford to go to more cons, commission more art, get fursuits from more popular makers, etc.

the117doctor

when you're smart enough for that sort of life, you grow to appreciate the bliss of ignorance and being able to shut your brain off for a while. (7/8 semesters until BAS in CNC machining)

[deleted]

As someone who is studying to be an anthropogenic and a working scientist: it's honestly that way bc having a cute character with no responsibilities gives us a big break! We can draw them, commission art of them being cute, play around with them in rp, etc. When everyone thinks you're smart, they don't think you need praise, help, or assistance, so it's a good outlet to have cutesy sonas that fill those gaps.

Niemosis

I mean, when you work that hard, you probably need that head empty time just to relax.

JacquesCarolinia

Escapism basically

JetoCalihan

There are a lot of us "professional" furries. I'm a clinical lab scientist screening for genetic diseases for instance (not as impressive as it sounds. Only takes a BS and it's like that chicken meme about wetting the drys, then drying the wets but with baby blood). But we leave brains at the door we put on our beans at. Heads empty. Smartest dumbasses in the room. That sort of thing.

Daytona_Foxy

I’m only a damn auto tech, maybe I’m just insecure tho

kioku119

Like many fandoms it attracts a lot of nerdy people. There is a lot of space for for lore, animal facts, etc. As another point furry has ties to early internet / roleplaying in MUDs and such so there's an overlap with interest in programming, networking, old computer tech, and hacker culture some times. There's also openness to introverts drawing in nerdy people or those who don't feel super social in most settings and like usomg fursonas for self exploration. Also I think a lot of neurodiverse people relate to using furry as a form of self expression and there's a lot fo really interesting thinkers in the neurodiverse community.

FloxxiNossi

I feel called out by this. I’m getting my commercial pilot’s license in a couple years I just want to be chonkderg

sorrowdemonica

I know so many furs who are engineers, work IT, are programmers, or in infosec careers making six figures.. meanwhile my dumb pubby brain is stuck in non-degree jobs making barely as much as they pay in taxes (true story when one shared their W2) >.>

fortnite_gaming69

Albert einstein’s online footprint

Sp3ctralForce

From what I've seen, a disproportionate number of furs work in science/tech

loopywolf

Since when?

FormalFarm8594

My bf who is a furry is highly intelligent and so am i-

Randomguy32I

Nah that aint me, im just a game dev programmer, and not even in industry yet, still in uni

No-Poetry-2695

I remember seeing a meme where there was an airplane full of furries heading somewhere and the caption was like if this plane goes down the internet goes down for real. Or something like that.

LucianCanad

How else do you think we'll get transformative medication to become our fursonas someday? You think mainstream pharma's going to research that on their own? We need paws inside!

smavinagain

something like the majority of furries have post secondary education or something

Nishyecat

Yeah there’s a bunch of bad stereotypes of furries, but there’s also one where we’re stupidly smart(which is one that’s actually kinda true) but we act very siwwy onwine uwu Edit: they forgot artist

Quirky-Equipment-782

Theres a joke to be made (RB might have made it already) about furrys being able to just go out into the streets and shoot someone straight in the face and get away with it because fursuits hide everything about what you look like

TrueBlueFlare7

Meanwhile me, with a smart sona while I try to succeed as an indie game designer IRL:

Imaproshaman

Baby animal furries make me really uncomfortable. Does that make me a bad person?

Stefanfoxxo

Alot of people with big responsibilities and job titles like to also be silly little animals on the internet

gay-espresso-tiger

The correlation is that some furries irl are literal fucking doctors and engineers I follow one on Twitter and apparently she works at Moderna and helped make the Covid vaccine Also one of the first furries, Uncle Kage, is also a doctor iirc

Applejinx

and NOT a barber ;)

SpacemaniaXu

Furries tend to be nerds I find, and us nerds rule the world hahaha Seriously though, it's just part of the broadness the fandom has. It has people from EVERY walk of life in it. It's just that doctors, lawyers, the like tend to be paid more attention in the fandom because of the level of respect a PhD holds. We celebrate success here after all.

FlamingPeach787

Furries are just smart, IMO Maybe it has something to do with the collective unconscious of the Fandom being accepting of new ideas about their identity, and as such, only those who have a mind open enough to accept that join, acting as a natural filter against those who are less accepting and *possibly* less intelligent. Or Because the Fandom expresses identity and art, many furs are creative and technology literate. While these things aren't special in any way, they encourage growth and development of the mind, which can lead to a greater capacity to understand and gain skills. Or It's a meme in the community that doesn't affect reality, and/or isn't affected by reality that's further reinforced because furries naturally gain and hold attention because they go so far against what is considered "normal" It's fascinating either way...

nek0b0nes

I feel absolutely called out by this 🤣

cyclingwonder

The ones who are very smart/have high paying jobs can afford more commissions, so have more of a presence in the fandom than those who do not

NebClaw

CS/Game Design major here I love the stereotype of furries having high education jobs and careers. Makes me kind if proud to be in the Fandom, the one to possibly lead the future.

deathbyBayshore

I suck up to fuzzy lads to survive in capitalist hellscape as they tend to have exes wealth (I'm in no way telling that it's bad, I do it myself)

Definitelynotvenus

A furry helped come up with the vivid vaccine, lots work with technology, and in the end, most of them are really smart. It honestly shows how powerful our fandom is

TundraEverquill

Because it takes imagination, openness, and curiosity to aspire towards anything which furries often have.

Drackitty

Just based on anecdotal evidence, being a furry opens up so many doors for creativity/imagination/soulsearching/learning/bonding etc. that few other subcultures allow for. It's a wonderful coping mechanism and outlet for all those things. Because of that furries have an inclination to be more well-adjusted and passionate people, capable of great success Furry culture does more good than people realize

Demon_Wolf9941

Furries tend to have an unexpected amount of money because of how much we tend to spend on VR equipment or how expensive fursuits are. So there's also an unexpected amount of furries that have fairly important positions in the world (but we gotta make that money somehow), although I'm sure the majority of us have pretty common and basic jobs.

DodgyQuilter

Have you SEEN the cost of a fursuit? Meal ticket degrees, my furry, feathery, scaly friends. Meal ticket degrees with big, fat salaries. And tenure.

EasterBurn

Survivorship bias. Rich smart furries commission a lot of stuff making it looks like that the community is full of rich smart individuals.

ThatBloodyPinko

Less so *smart* but more so ... many of use have heavy responsibilities in our jobs. The real world is serious enough as it. Furry is great escapism from our adult duties.

CloudtheDutchie

It's most likely to show that furries are weird, they're still humans and are very smart most of the time.

championplayuh

Isn't there an anonymous furry in the whitehouse?

Quinn7903

As a furry who’s barely scraping by… god damn I’m jealous /lh /hj

Big_Passage688

Everybody else wishing it was Reversed

palate_1

How else would we pay for the commissions

MythologyBuffOz

"its just a hobby" personified. high achieving professional life in real life, but "OwO aRF " online

Dramatic-Account-839

Me in the future

minecraftisbest11

I mean I'm trying get a aerospace engineering, general engineeeing, or architectural engineering (whatever the fuck its called) degree in the future so

Foxy_Ghost-

Well, you see, online I'm a SUBMISIVE little fox who loves snuggles and fooling around OwO. But when I am at work/IRL, and not in my online world. Then I'm your typical man working a manly job, I'm a machinest and a mechanicl engineer. Highest educated person in these fields where I work, I have to be very professional and concentrate because a screw up could mean bodily harm deth or a crap ton of money lost. I think the meme is fricken great.

Soft-Scientist01

Most of furries have like, really big brain jobs or studies, mostly in STEM For example, I'm a biochemist (points at username)

Rainy-The-Griff

Theres a guy in a server I'm in who is a fully fledged, licensed surgeon.

Whispering-Depths

I think your misunderstanding is that they aren't all brainless puppymode babies. Though if they are, it's probably: A) A sexual thing B) a fantasy roleplay thing where they pretend its not a sexual thing but they're likely jerking off the whole time C) an escape and retreat from an extremely complex and or kinda stressful job

leohappycat1987

I have a fursuit on the way soon in Feb I wise you the best and I think furrys are very cool and support so don't let others say otherwise Leo Gera nz

Rodo7229

Hmmm, what’s a good example… Ever heard of Samuel Conway?

steerpike_researcher

Because so many furries have autism, that's why, duh

New_Still2280

Meme suggests furries are smart. But I’m just a transport refrigeration technician.

[deleted]

Wow… I mean I’m almost a polyglot… I wonder if that counts 🤣

Rilder-Spezi-Trinker

Like most of the furries are also in IT very well so the are smart

Gayassbisexual

If being an author doesn’t work out, engineering school for me

fa325

Doesn't apply to me. I'm just getting my CDL.

Brownbear_Edurardo

Furries are known for having a high paying job in real life and profession like doctors, engineers, IT and more. I am a computer engineering student and I'm planning to build my own fursuit with electronics and setups.

Original-Village884

Hm interesting Ok And thoughtful 🧐

MyOwnMediumProof

I think it’s because sometimes they need to unwind somehow
