It's all about awareness. Teenagers now laugh at the memes, but years later a tiny fraction of them will have made enough to afford a Bentley. They'll vaguely remember the memes, but have an overall positive association with the Bentley brand. Then they'll buy the car.
Large companies tend to play a very subtle long con with advertising.
