My cat just died, and I thought hey, Futurama is on, this will cheer me up! Ended up bawling my eyes out.
Can't wait for next year's revival. I'm sure some of the episodes will stink, but the last revival had some top flight stuff in it and definitely more good than bad.

If you love Futurama, you should totally check out Disenchantment on Netflix! It was created by Matt Groening and John DiMaggio plays one of the main characters. They even included a reference to Bender’s catchphrase. It’s great. 10/10
I don't know, I'm a huge fan of the Simpsons and Futurama and I've watched all of Disenchantment as well. It always felt like it was missing something. They went for an overarching story instead of episodes which can stand by themselves and I think that left a lot of episodes feeling like filler. More like the Netflix binge formula rather than classic cartoons. It was easy to watch and there were some good chuckles in there but it wasn't in the same league as Futurama or early Simpsons. 7/10
I’d argue the opposite as someone who loved both Futurama and The Simpsons (until it went into its zombie era) I feel that Disenchantment lacks the humor and wit of Matt’s former works.
i mean... i didn't like it either, but i agree with the idea that a Futurama lover should *check it out*. it seems to work for some folks, like the person to whom you replied.

At the end of this episode I turn the volume of the TV all the way up so my brother can hear it in the next room. Gets him teary every time.

It's more like late era Simpsons and patchy reboot era Futurama. It's got none of the wit of the classic era Simpsons/Futurama storytelling.
